I have downloaded several free bitcoin wallets. This is the first one that works with the bitcoin paper wallet from bitaddress.org which is available from GitHub. So this paper wallet can be run off-line. This gives you good security for cold storage. Unfortunately, the other wallet programs I have will not read the QR code necessary to recover your funds. This app does and I give it three stars for being able to do that at least that.

Cold storage is no good if you can’t unfreeze it.

The app crashes about 9/10 of the time upon trying to do anything within it, but luckily it tends to receive and send bitcoin alright for the most part just don’t except to do anything beyond the first screen that pulls up because it’ll just crash. It’s done this for over a year. I’ve used it for a while & put up with and griped about it but i’ve never decided to leave a review. This app really needs updated support i’m only using an iphone 7 with maybe one of the newer versions of IOS

I used this app back in the day and everything was fine very simple. Fast forward to 2022 and I was using the mycelium wallet to store my rewards from Bitcoin mining using the same receive address fir all my payments, one day I saw the mining pool paid me and nothing was in the mycelium account hours later and over 10 confirmations. The money never appeared, I used the Jaxx app to restore my wallet with the seed phrase from mycelium and the money magically appeared that was missing from mycelium.

I was very satisfied with this app for a long time but today everything changed...
I gave someone $5.00 worth of bitcoin and was charged $8.53 for the transaction! Not cool!
I’ve done this multiple times before and it was never that bad... keep this crap up and it’s just as bad as the banks stealing our money which then negates the usefulness of having crypto in the first place!
Very disappointed... I’m hoping this was just some freak thing. Maybe the developers can solve this issue and if they can make it right I will remove this review.

As far as I can tell this is a great wallet and I have had no issues. I guess my one concern is that I have heard very little regarding the up-coming bitcoin hard forks expected later this month, and how it will effect this wallet. I suppose this would be a question for the developers, but are there any plans in place to support seguit2x? If not, what safeguards are being put in place to prevent replay attacks, for example? I think this needs to be communicated better to us, hence my 1 star taken off. Still love the app and hope development on it continues

This app boasts a huge disclaimer under its legal section that says, in short, we hold zero liability if, for example, the send function corrupts and only lets you send an arbitrary number of coins - less than 2% of the actual funds it says you have available. So let’s say you’ve deposited $2100 into this wallet. The app will only let you send $40 of that. You’ve tried reaching out to every non-existent entity listed under “support” to no avail. Your coins are lost. No one cares. No one is accountable. DO NOT USE THIS APP. Unless you like throwing your hard earned money away.

Like some other users, my mycelium wallet has taken to WAY OVERPAYING miners. It’s happened 3 times in just the last day. I would put around $100 in the account, and send $84 using a “economy” transaction fee of $5.62. The transaction would send, but the wallet would change the miner fee to wipe out my entire account balance. I did this again with a $694 transaction that was set to cost $10.78. The transaction did take place, however mycelium again changed the miner fee to wipe out my entire balance (another $38). So mycelium keeps wiping out entire wallet balance and sending it to the miner.

I downloaded this app and quickly found out that it is not very compatible with IOS. You can’t see your transactions. Every time you hit the transaction tab the app crashes. Mycelium has no support team whatsoever. You you call the support number they answer one time and do not answer again. The do not respond to support tickets either. They were made aware of this problem 9 months ago when a lady posted on github they the app was crashing. What appears to be mycelium’s only tech guy responded with “ yeah our app is not very compatible with IOS. Sorry about that.” I almost lost $180 due to not being able to see my transactions.

Ignore the high recommendations that brought you to mycellium, this is unacceptable.
I received a series of transfers into this wallet. After it said the funds were available, I couldn't send them, it said insufficient funds. I waited until more that 10 confirmations were made on each deposit, and still I cannot send the bits. I can screenshot it clearly saying I have $250.xx available, I click send max and $15.xx fills in. If I manually type in the amount in bits or dollars it says insufficient funds while I'm looking at that same number next to he words "available funds". Super aggravated right now, I was supposed to send these bits hours ago now, I backed up the wallet, searched the Internet for answers. Very unhappy

I don’t understand why the developers of the IOS app do not include even the most basic and necessary options such as adding multiple already existing wallets. I mean, feel free to discriminate against apple users over far shidtier companies with a far more extensive track record of hegemonic blocs, worse labor abuses, actual lifetime child labor contracts and mafialike cruelties who just happen to ship bloatfudged Android systems on their phones... But at least let long term bitcoin users have access to the most basic damd functionalities for hell’s sake. I wasn’t even asking for the btc proximity market option, I’m just asking for at least the ability to store more than one compatible account in my wallet. Thank you.

1) Bias as cause of bad reviews: that's ridiculous, but even if plausible I applaud the people who decided that support for UASF is good reason to reject the app. Some of us have lost money over the stupidest argument of all time, and frankly at this point I could give a flying BIP 148 about companies that aren't interested in stability and the longevity of BTC.

2) Did you actually read the reviews? Multiple reports: either lack of confirmations, or funds not transferring/appearing correctly. Have you experienced this at any point? I have, not with this wallet, but I have definitely paid the price for trusting shoddy platforms. Moreover, I never rate something five stars or praise it blindly. Only the app design team does that!

I know from personal experience that several wallets and storage platforms have similar issues, mainly because I've been on the losing end. YOU try contacting coinbase to ask about a technical issue, no go ahead I'll wait...after you realize that customer support is worse than Comcast and Time Warner together, then maybe you would rethink your flattery. If it can happen to anyone then it can happen to you. Based on experience with other resources that are glitchy and unpredictable, I would suspect that every program can falter - including this one.

3) uasf...gaa. "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). I intentionally mine slushpool so I can vote against that - all it does is devalue investments and market confidence. If that's your cause or the cause of the app designers here, then to both of you I say, you owe me for the money lost in downturns that happen every time a company or major platform like this made the [censored]ic announcement about support for bip/usaf. Every. Single. Time. I would watch as BTC values dropped $100, 'whew ok still ahead by ten bucks'. $150 'ok only less $40, that's ok'...↓$300...'crap, why is this happening'. I will check a few forums and low and behold some jerk is acting like he's a philosophical genius and arguing for a hard or soft fork on 'principle'. Here's the thing for all the principled people out there: the people who can affect the markets by tweeting against segwit already have enough money in traditional currency that they don't have to fear the outcome of their nonsense. So please those of us who mine have spoken and no you are not an oppressed group of righteous defenders, you are someone who decides that amputating a limb is the only option after getting a minor bruise.

This wallet is very inconsistent. Only thing consistent about it is how often it crashes. Fees are never standard and are ridiculously high even for low priority transactions. My coins have been stuck in the blockchain for 3 days but it made me pay nearly $8 in miner fees. What’s the point of paying so much if it’s not going to even mine my coins lol

There are so many bugs. Every time I try and click the ‘Transactions’ tab the app crashes. Or I’ll be any number of other places in the app and suddenly it will crash. I used to love Mycelium and I’m very disappointed in what it’s become. It’s scary to have my money in a wallet that doesn’t even function properly. Will be sending my BTC elsewhere immediately.

This new version is somehow broken - my address has BTC value, but the wallet records none. I can see the balance on the blockchain. All the Bitcoin prices from various exchanges disappeared as well as the values for different currency options. I cannot sign transactions using the App because the software believes that there are insufficient funds. Please help!

I had to reinstall mycelium because it didn’t let me make a transference,I was thinking it had to do something with my iPhone, well, it wasn’t, when I reinstalled the app it has taken money from my account, approximately $50... and still keeps crashing on me, every time I tried to review my transactions.. and wouldn't let me post unless I give them at least 4 stars

With v1.16, which ostensibly introduced restoring wallets without a backup, I had a concern. I decided to check out the code on Github and build it on my mobile workstation and run it on my phone, having compiled such myself. It didn’t run. Additionally, the app reports v36 instead of v1.16. Seems shady. Dumping this one, which has been my wallet for at least a year. I liked the play on Kingdom Fungidæ, too. Ugh!

Just wanted to let you know for some months the *Transactionsfeature on your wallet does not work properly, when you choose this option to look the status of any transaction or even check the confirmations it kicks you out of the app.

I am using an iPhone and have the latest version updated - iOS 13.4.1. I also deleted the MyCelium wallet then I downloaded it again and it does not work.

When ever I tried to check my transaction history the mycelium app shut down

Getting message the app can’t synchronize with server for 24 hours. No support. No message on website. Terrible
