DSLReports DSLReports Review: Beware of Unstable Members and Inconsistent Moderation

DSLReports is a website that has a lot of members, including some who go by the names of art, wuts, rooker, wierdalls, and adlicia. Some of these members seem to have some serious mental issues, as they spend a lot of time trying to derail any conversation they don't agree with. The moderation on the site is hit or miss, and sometimes posts that have been deleted will show up again. If you're not into dealing with these kinds of people, it's probably best to stay away from DSLReports.

DSLReports DSL Reports: A Decent Site for Internet and Tech Help, Despite Struggles

I've been using DSL Reports for more than ten years now, and I gotta say, it's a pretty cool site. There's a lot of good stuff to read and learn from, especially when it comes to talking about internet service providers and consumer hardware.

But, I gotta be honest, the site is kinda struggling right now. It's like it's barely hanging on by a thread. I think it's because they rely too much on volunteers to keep things going, and that's just not sustainable in the long run.

Still, I think it's worth checking out if you're into having long conversations with people online, or if you already have some friends on there. There's a lot of knowledge to be gained, and it's a good place to go if you're looking for some help with your internet or tech problems.

Overall, I'd say DSL Reports is a pretty decent site, even if it's not as popular as it used to be. If you're into that kind of thing, it's definitely worth a look.

DSLReports DSLReports: The Ultimate Tech Community for Knowledge and Connection

I've been a member of DSLReports for almost 18 years now and I gotta say, it's pretty much the center of my otherwise boring life! The forums are where it's at, and there are many very, very fine, very helpful people there for everything from hardware and software issues to personal and life issues, home improvement, politics, you name it. The quality of the membership is first rate, making the site very good indeed!

Now, I will say that moderation can be a little strict at times, but hey, you can't have your cake and eat it too, am I right? But overall, I love it! It's my go-to for all things tech-related and beyond. And let's be real, where else can you find such a diverse group of people all in one place, sharing their knowledge and experiences?

I've learned so much from DSLReports over the years, and I've also made some great friends along the way. It's a community that truly cares about helping each other out, and that's something you don't find every day. So if you're looking for a place to connect with like-minded individuals, or just need some help with a tech issue, I highly recommend giving DSLReports a try. You won't be disappointed!

DSLReports Disappointing Moderation Ruins Potential of Promising Site

I gotta say, the moderation on this site is absolutely insane. I mean, I created an account and did some measurements over my line, which was all good and dandy. But then I stumbled upon the forum and decided to put in my two cents by answering a post. I didn't say anything fancy, no insults, no trolling... just a simple message. And what happens next? The next day my IP was banned! Can you believe it? I was like, "What the heck?!"

So, I tried to contact the staff about it, but the email address was wrong and got returned. I even tried messaging them on Twitter and looking for another email address, but no answer. When the temporary ban on my IP was over, I tried to login again, but my account was suspended! I mean, come on!

It's such a shame because this site had so much potential. I really liked the idea and the layout, but the careless staff just ruined it all. It's like they don't even care about their users. I hope they get their act together soon because this could be a great resource for people.

DSLReports DSLReports: A Reliable and Informative Tech News and Reviews Site for Almost 20 Years

Been a member of DSLReports for almost 19 years now. It's one of my go-to sites for news about the tech industry. They've got all sorts of information about broadband, cellular networks, networking gear, and any other tech news you could want. The reviews about ISPs are especially helpful for people trying to decide which provider to go with.

The name DSLReports comes from the fact that it started out as a site focused on DSL internet. But these days, they cover all sorts of internet connections, including cable and fiber, as well as wireless broadband.

I've been a member since I was a senior in college, and I've always found the site to be reliable and informative. It's great to have a place to go to get all the latest news and reviews about the tech world. And the fact that it's been around for almost 20 years is a testament to how useful it is.

One thing I appreciate about DSLReports is that they don't just regurgitate press releases. They actually do their own research and testing, so you can trust that the information they provide is accurate and unbiased. And the community of users is always willing to help out with any questions or issues you might have.

Overall, I highly recommend DSLReports to anyone who wants to stay up-to-date on the latest tech news and reviews. It's a great resource that I've relied on for almost two decades now, and I'm sure I'll continue to use it for many more years to come.

DSLReports Disappointing Experience with DSLReports: Paid for Premium Status, Got IP Banned

So, I decided to give DSLReports a try and signed up for an account. I even went ahead and purchased Tool Points, which upgraded my account to Premium status. I was excited to join the community and participate in the forums. However, my experience was not what I expected.

I submitted a couple of posts on non-technical threads, but to my surprise, they were withheld for further review. I didn't understand why, but I thought maybe it was just a standard procedure. However, the next day, I found out that not only was I IP banned, but my account was also suspended. I was shocked and confused. I had no idea what I did wrong.

I tried to reach out to the moderators by sending an email to the address provided in the FAQ section regarding bans. However, it's been weeks, and I haven't heard anything back. It's frustrating because I paid for the Premium status, and I didn't even get a chance to use it.

I feel like DSLReports just took my money and banned me for no reason. It's disappointing because I was hoping to find a site that would be helpful and supportive of its community. Instead, I got the opposite. I don't understand why they would do this to me, and it's a shame because I was looking forward to being a part of their community.

I guess it's time for me to move on and find another site that doesn't just take people's money and ban them without any explanation. It's a shame because I thought DSLReports had potential, but it looks like I was wrong.

DSLReports DSLReports.com Review: Outdated Design, Broken Tools, and Difficult Forums

DSLReports.com has been a go-to website for many internet users for quite some time now. However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows when it comes to this website. The user interface and design of the website are outdated and can be quite challenging to navigate. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, and it can be frustrating at times.

One of the main features of the website is its speed testing tools. Unfortunately, these tools are often broken and do not always provide reliable results. This can be a significant issue for users who rely on these tools to check their internet speed. It's like trying to measure the temperature with a broken thermometer - it's just not going to work.

The discussion forums on DSLReports.com can also be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. If you're looking for a newer ISP, it can be challenging to find the information or help you need. The over-moderation in some forums can also lead to unproductive and sometimes toxic discussions. It's like trying to have a conversation with someone who keeps interrupting you - it's just not going to be a pleasant experience.

Furthermore, the website's focus on DSL and other legacy internet technologies is increasingly outdated in today's market. Cable and fiber-optic internet connections are becoming more prevalent, and the site has not kept up with the times. It's like trying to use a flip phone in a world where smartphones are the norm - it's just not going to cut it.

In conclusion, while DSLReports.com has a dedicated user base and can still be a useful resource for some, its outdated design, broken testing tools, and difficult-to-navigate forums are significant drawbacks that make it hard to recommend to users seeking reliable and up-to-date information on the state of the internet. It's like trying to use a map in a world where GPS is the norm - it's just not going to be as efficient.

DSLReports DSL Reports: A Tech Site with Forums for Everything from Broadband to Movies and TV

DSL Reports is a great tech site that has a wide variety of forums for different topics. You can find forums dedicated to computer hardware, software, gaming, audio/video, sports, home improvement, photography, and movies and TV. The front page includes links to ISP reviews, which can be helpful if you're shopping for a new provider, and links to tech news from around the internet.

The broadband related forums are full of very knowledgeable people who are usually pretty helpful. There are also "Direct" forums "staffed" by reps from various broadband providers. You can post in these threads and only the reps will see what you write. These forums are also helpful if you have problems you cannot address yourself. The site is relatively easy to navigate, but the search function isn't very good.

The social forums are a good place to voice your opinions on a broad range of issues, but they are moderated in a way that tries to keep discussions friendly and on-topic. As with all things on the internet, there are trolls who cause problems, but the moderators there keep the site from becoming a free-for-all hellscape.

Overall, it's a fun site with a little bit of something for everyone. The forums are a great place to learn new things and get help with problems you might be having. The ISP reviews are also very helpful if you're looking for a new provider. The only downside is that the search function isn't very good, so it can be hard to find what you're looking for sometimes. But overall, DSL Reports is a great site that I would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in tech or just wants to learn something new.

DSLReports DSLReports: A Reliable Source for Data Communication Queries

DSLReports (dslreports.com) is a site that has been around since the early 80's. It was a great source of information on ADSL, which was just being rolled out by Telco's at the time. I remember when BellSouth deployed ADSL in August of 1984, I began covering DSLR's original BellSouth DSL forum. It was a thin line to walk, but with permission from the company, I provided as much assistance as possible to subscribers in the areas where ADSL had been deployed.

Eventually, two other techs were allowed to join in, as well as an employee of corporate security. That person and I became moderators of the forums FAQ's, and this went on for almost three years. Then the company made a wise decision to internalize the entire project. That would eliminate a lot of noise from critics and so-called experts, who actually understood very little about the technologies the company was using at the time. We deleted (dollarcided) our memberships and moved on to other projects.

As time went on, moderation became more and more restrictive, and participation by a large number of very knowledgeable people waned. The site went into a death spiral as it became an echo chamber of views and no longer a tech site. Then, about four years ago, something changed. A lot of moderation just disappeared, and those who remained, I think realized that without actual technicians who work in the industry, the site would fade away. As a result of that understanding, the site slowly but surely began to turn around.

Now, DSLReports is a great site for anyone who has questions relating to wireline or wireless data communications. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to give me a ping. My username is Duane D, aka. Well Bonded.

DSLReports Unfair Moderation and Discrimination: A Nightmare Experience on a Forum Site

This website has been a complete nightmare for me. The first issue I have is that their mods don't seem to care about following the rules fairly. They've penalized me multiple times for the most ridiculous things, but when I complain about the same rule violations from their members who they like, who take jabs at me with the sole intention of starting a fight, they do nothing about it. This site used to be friendly and offer helpful resources, but lately, it's become a troll's paradise. The moderators decide which rules they want to enforce and on whom they want to enforce them. This is not only unfair, but it borders on criminal discrimination. If the mods don't like you, they'll do whatever they can to silence you. But when other users do the same thing that they've blasted you for repeatedly, they don't care and allow this kind of thing to continue. I've never seen such hostility on an open forum in my whole life. Stay away from this site because they're not at all about being a friendly place where people can debate the facts. Instead, they're all about deciding which users they like and will allow to get away with anything they want, and which users they will single out repeatedly. What's worse is that their mods just don't care. If you complain in their "Hey Mods" forum, which is supposed to be to address unfair moderation, they'll either ignore you or completely dismiss you before finally banning you out of nowhere. The worst part is that they won't even explain to you or your ISP why they've blocked you. It seems that if you disagree with the way they do things, they'll just ban you instead of enforcing the rules fairly for EVERYONE! STAY AWAY!

DSLReports Review: dslreports.com Needs Major Improvements in User Profiles, Moderation, and Verification

dslreports.com is a website that could use some work. The user profiles are all messed up and the search function doesn't even work. It's like they don't even care about making the site easy to use. The design is also pretty outdated and could use a facelift.

One of the biggest problems with dslreports.com is the lack of moderation. There are a lot of trolls and spammers on the site, and it seems like nobody is doing anything about it. It's really frustrating to try to have a conversation with someone when there are people constantly posting nonsense.

Another issue is the poor account verification. It's way too easy to create a fake account and start causing trouble. This is something that really needs to be addressed if they want to make the site a better place.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend dslreports.com to anyone. There are just too many problems with the site and it's not worth the hassle. If they could fix the user profiles, search function, moderation, and account verification, it might be worth checking out. But until then, I'll be staying far away.

DSLReports DSLReports.com Review: Helpful Information with Quirky Moderation

dslreports.com is a website that's been around for a long time, since the 00s. It's got a bit of a reputation for being a bit cliquey, and the moderation can be a bit biased. Over the years, it's lost a lot of traffic and participation because of the way the moderators handle things. They can be pretty heavy-handed and intolerant, which doesn't sit well with a lot of people. Despite all that, there's still a lot of good information on the site, and if you're willing to put up with the quirks, you can find some really helpful stuff there. Just be prepared to deal with some less-than-stellar moderation, and you should be fine.

DSLReports DSLReports: A Disappointing Forum with Strict Moderation and Limited Discussion

I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with DSLReports. It seems like the mods are pretty strict about who gets to ask questions and who doesn't. If you're not a member, forget about it - you won't be able to ask anything. And even if a member posts something that's totally wrong, the mods won't let anyone question it. It's like they're playing favorites or something.

And don't even get me started on the fact that when someone does prove a member wrong, the mods just delete the post. What's the point of having a forum if you're not going to let people have a real discussion? It's like they're trying to control the conversation or something.

Honestly, I don't think DSLReports is worth the time anymore. It used to be a good resource, but now it just feels like a waste of time. If you're looking for a place to get real answers and have a real conversation, this isn't it.

DSLReports Navigating the Mixed Bag of DSLReports: A Review of the ISP Resource Site

dslreports.com has been going through some changes lately. I've noticed that there are a lot of people on the site who think they know everything and they like to talk about their own experiences. Sometimes the moderators seem to agree with them too. It's frustrating because there are a lot of conspiracy theories and other stories that don't seem to be based on facts.

Despite this, I still find the site useful for getting information about my internet service provider. There are a lot of reviews and comments from other users that can help me decide if I want to switch to a different provider or not. I also like that there are forums where I can ask questions and get answers from other people who have had similar experiences.

Overall, I think dslreports.com is a good resource for anyone who wants to learn more about their internet service provider. Just be aware that there are some people on the site who might not be giving you the most accurate information.

DSLReports Mixed Feelings About DSLReports: Frustrating Captchas and Disappearing Deals

I've been using DSLReports for a while now and I gotta say, it's been a bit frustrating lately. Every time I try to post something, I keep getting the same darn captcha. It's like, come on man, I'm not a robot! This never used to happen before, so I'm starting to think something fishy is going on. Maybe some hackers are trying to mess with the site or something.

Anyway, one thing I do like about DSLReports is all the info they have on J6 deals. I'm always on the lookout for a good deal, and they usually have some pretty good ones. But lately, I've noticed that the info keeps disappearing. Like, I'll see a deal one day and then the next day it's gone. What's up with that? It's like they don't want us to save money or something.

Overall, I still think DSLReports is a decent site. It's just been a bit frustrating lately with all the captcha nonsense and the disappearing J6 deals. But hey, nothing's perfect, right? I'll still keep using it and hopefully things will get better soon.

DSLReports DSLReports Review: Great Tech Forums, Beware of Conservative Censorship

I gotta tell ya, I been usin' DSLReports for a while now and it's a pretty good site overall. The tech forums are really helpful and I've gotten some great advice from the folks there. But, I gotta warn ya, if you go on the conservative social forum and say somethin' that the site owner, Justin, don't like, he'll straight up delete your account and ban your IP. I mean, that's just not cool, ya know? But, if you stick to the more liberal social forum, you should be good to go.

Overall, I think DSLReports is a solid site for tech stuff, but you gotta watch out for Justin and his censorship on the conservative forum. It's a shame, really, 'cause everyone should be able to speak their mind. But, if you're lookin' for tech help, this site is definitely worth checkin' out.

DSLReports Toxic Moderation and Racial Bias on DSLReports: My Disappointing Experience

I recently shared some information about the flu vaccine content that I found on the official website of the Canadian government on DSLReports. However, I was surprised to receive a message accusing me of trolling and violating their terms of service. Unfortunately, despite my attempts to respond and clarify my intentions, I did not receive any further communication from the moderators.

Moreover, I have noticed that there is a lot of racial hatred and biased moderation on this platform. It seems that some users are allowed to post racially insensitive comments as long as they are directed towards white people. This is not only unfair and discriminatory, but it also creates a toxic environment that discourages open and respectful discussions.

Overall, I am disappointed with my experience on DSLReports and I would not recommend it to others who are looking for a safe and inclusive online community. It is important to remember that freedom of speech should not be used as an excuse to spread hate and intolerance. Instead, we should strive to promote mutual understanding and empathy, even when we disagree with each other.

DSLReports Unbalanced and Toxic: My Experience with dslreports.com Forums

dslreports.com ain't the best place to be if you're looking for a fair and balanced discussion. The forums are full of folks who are way too into the whole Mega Maga thing, and the mods don't seem to care about all the abusive posts that get thrown around. It's like the trolls have taken over the place, and the regulars just let them do whatever they want.

And don't even get me started on the conservative content. There's so much of it, and it's all just accepted without any challenge or pushback. It's like the site is just a breeding ground for fringe right-wing ideas and opinions.

Honestly, I'd say it's best to just stay away from dslreports.com altogether. It's just not worth the headache and frustration of dealing with all the nonsense that goes on there.

DSLReports Questioning the Credibility of dslreports.com: Are They Only Publishing Positive Reviews?

I just wanted to share my experience with dslreports.com. I wrote a review about my internet service provider (ISP) and it was a truthful review, nothing too harsh or rude. But to my surprise, my review was not published on their website. I was disappointed because I wanted to share my experience with others who might be considering the same ISP.

What's even more frustrating is that the ISP I reviewed still has a perfect rating on dslreports.com. It makes me wonder if they only publish positive reviews to make the ISPs look good. I mean, if a consumer advocacy site only shows the good stuff, how can we trust them to give us an accurate picture of the products and services we're considering?

I'm not saying that dslreports.com is intentionally misleading people, but it does make me question their credibility. As a consumer, I want to be able to trust the reviews I read online. If I can't trust dslreports.com to publish all reviews, good or bad, then where can I turn for honest opinions?

Overall, I'm disappointed with my experience on dslreports.com. I hope they will reconsider their policy of only publishing positive reviews and start giving consumers the full picture of the products and services they're considering.
