Precision Toyota of Tucson Buying a new car

This should have been such an easy car sale and precision Toyota messed up on every level. They made a mistake on the title, asked us to come back in and fix it, we get it fixed and I just get the title in the mail and it’s still messed up! They said I was supposed to be billed on a certain day for the extended warranty and they did not do that right. They didn’t tell us until we got there to buy that car that it still needed to be tinted. It has been almost a month since we purchased the car and after numerous inquiries still no contact about tinting the car. The salesperson was very rushy and did not go over the features of the car, and I had to meet with him a second time and he still left info out like that I was signed up for a free trial of Sirius xm. I’ve talked to the manager and she just pushes it off on the sales guy and the sales guy said he wasn’t getting me emails even though I have proof I sent them to the correct address. I still have no idea when they’re going to bill my card for the extended warranty, tint the windows, get my license plate, or what to do with the mistakes on the title. I have never seen so many mistakes and carelessness in purchasing a car before. We purchased multiple other cars from them in the past years ago and never had an issue like this. We will never be coming back here again.

Service was good although I had to call to find out that my car was ready Did receive an apology Problem that is more concerning is the fact that I found out at this time that the *** proposed and performed last visit was not due till the car reached 60K It was done at 50K and the odometer reads 55K now So not due for another 5K and certainly not at 50K This does not implicate *** but rather *** M who in Sept said the car was due for *** clarify what seems like an inappropriate pitch

Precision Toyota of Tucson We had the best treatment and the best employees helping us all along the way

We had the best treatment and the best employees helping us all along the way. Everything went smoother and faster than we expected, the staff were all knowledgable, friendly, professional, and eager to help in any way they could. We had a totally great experience and are very happy with the car we bought (a 2020 Toyota Corolla LE). We know that if we ever have any questions about anything we can ask the staff and they will be responsive with good information. It was like meeting helpful new friends! Michael and Darlene S.

Horrible customer service. Managers have no ability to make decisions that would provide better customer service. Damaged my tire during a current visit and would not accept blame. The only thing the manager would do is 15%off of a new tire. My wife and I have been Lexus and Toyota customers for many years and all our previous experiences have been top notch. I will choose another Toyota dealership in the Tucson area. Sad business practice to lose long time customers over a 100 tire.

Precision Toyota of Tucson Service was great

Service was great... however, in the perfect world, when I called and set up my appointment and the gal who answered the phone saw all my car info, she’d have passed that in to the technician. He would’ve looked up what service needed to be done and called or texted me with the details of cost, etc. He’d have also noted that special parts needed to be ordered and arranged for my appointment to be moved to a day when all service could be performed at that time. I stead, I now need to return for a second appointment in 5 or 6 days. But it’s not a perfect world!

The sales associate was more focused on over selling using scare tactics, rather than being reasonable and recommending required services. The associate did not seem to know whether there is any factory warranty remaining on 4 yr old battery. Also did not check any factory recalls when asked.

Precision Toyota of Tucson I am very disappointed with precision toyota

I am very disappointed with precision toyota. I had a very expensive service appointment scheduled, but I needed to change it. I tried for 3 days to talk to someone in the service department, but nobody was available, I called at least 10 times in those 3 days. I was asked to leave my name and number, but the return calls could not be answered as my job does not allow for me to use my phone while at work. When I tried to return the call at the number provided, I did not get an answer. Precision toyota has lost a valuable customer and thousands of dollars in sales and service. I will not return to precision toyota.

Precision Toyota of Tucson I have had two very annoying faults with a new Highlander Hybrid relating to the inability to start the car and a very low quality voice

I have had two very annoying faults with a new Highlander Hybrid relating to the inability to start the car and a very low quality voice recognition system. I have had it to their service about six times over five months since I bought it. The problems are not solved. I left a phone request to have a service manager call to discuss the problems with no action. Then I wrote a letter in late May , detailing my discontent and again asked for a response. I have yet to receive such. I expect better. To make two requests and receive no response is unacceptable as has been their lack of success in solving the problem.

I contacted them in regards to a used car I was interested in. I viewed 219 photos that they offered but 0 photos of the interior. I was directed to a link that was to include I terior photos, however there weren't any...but seriously 219 of the exterior 19 pages worth. Upon Inquiring again...I was met with a smart reply from Karina Martinez that I was provided with a link that showed those photos. OMG...such arrogance and lack of concern in regards to a potential patron. I would go anywhere else at any price to avoid this dealership now. I can only imagine after sale relations when this is how their sales team acts at te the beginning! Horrible the worst I've ever experienced.

Precision Toyota of Tucson We were buying a used car and we wanted a mechanic to look at the car before we bought it to make sure it was in good shape

We were buying a used car and we wanted a mechanic to look at the car before we bought it to make sure it was in good shape. We took the car to Precision Toyota and they performed a “prepurchase inspection”. It took about three hours, and the inspection showed that the car was a great shape, so we did purchase the car. The people at Precision were very professional in the way they conducted inspection and the way they reported the results to me. I was very pleased with their service. It cost $119, which I thought was a bargain. My wife and I have purchased Toyota vehicles for over 20 years and we’ve had all of our service work done at Precision. They keep our vehicles running perfectly even though we accumulate a lot of miles.

Precision Toyota of Tucson Precision Toyota was effective with the process of helping me get into a quality used vehicle

Precision Toyota was effective with the process of helping me get into a quality used vehicle. I just wish that they would not gorilla glue their circular marketing symbol on the paint of that vehicle without my ( the consumer ) permission...In other words --- don't put that thing on the car until after it has sold *** have signed their permission slip! I find it unsightly, annoying, and it leaves damaging marks on the vehicle when removed.I can live with their marketing license plate holder ( if I choose to replace it, it does not cause any damage ) --- but they should take that superglue covered marketing *** them out to their staff -- let them put it on their own cars & see how that works out...? ... ;>)...

After waiting to get our part for 3 months and calling the service department to make sure that they knew the part was under the moms name for the sons truck they still messed this up x 4. Both of us went in for the service Saturday was told that they need new clips that would be there on Monday. I told them to make sure they knew it was for his truck. Son proceeds to pick up truck on Saturday afternoon then was told that they thought he cancel d the order. Did not put notes to connect the two after multiple times of telling them. Came back on MONDAY to have them installed on as told that he had to pay again for them again did not connect the dots. After x 4 going back and forth finally got them on. What type of customer service is this.

Precision Toyota of Tucson For superb service, see Dave Burt at Precision Toyota

For superb service, see Dave Burt at Precision Toyota. Dave is a highly reliable, professional & knowledgeable service advisor. He provides sound recommendations & he patiently helps me prioritize service needs so I can better balance my expenses for the most urgent or essential repairs. This is crucial for me as one of my vehicles is an older model Toyota Tacoma truck that needs extra care & attention. Not only is he an expert service advisor, Dave is also a good person who is always friendly, consistent & dependable. He knows how to balance efficient service & conflicting demands without ever getting ruffled. I’ve been going to Precision Toyota since 2006. While the other staff members there are capable, I continue to ask for Dave Burt.

Precision Toyota of Tucson During a recent service visit for my 2021 Tacoma, 5K service

During a recent service visit for my 2021 Tacoma, 5K service. Precision failed to rotate the tires, they also over serviced all 4 tires by 7PSI, this is a failure to follow Toyota service manual and vehicle owner manual . Owner manual states tire Inflation pressure check interval You should check your tire inflation pressure every 2 weeks at least once a month. Precision management told me they over service the tires due to our climate in Arizona to prevent a low pressure warning from the Toms system, I have not found this section in my owners manual or Toyota website Owner manual states effects of incorrect tire inflation pressure Reduced fuel economy Reduced tire modified to wear Reduced safety Damage to the drive train The one tire manufacturer States over pressure on the tires can lead to a blow out, reduced braking and diminished capability of the vehicle safety systems, Precision Toyota put me and my family at risk by not following Toyota guide lines for servicing tire pressure

Precision Toyota of Tucson I recently exercised my purchase option at end of lease

I recently exercised my purchase option at end of lease. I would rate my experience F. I was told I must pay the state registration fee for the upcoming year to Precision Toyota even though 1. The annual renewal is not due until end of November and 2. During the lease, I renewed directly with the state and had no issues. Why does Precision Toyota insist on inserting itself in the annual registration renewal process for a car which I now own 100 per cent free and clear? To add to my aggravation, Precious Toyota then insisted that I pay to them a $487.00 Document Fee. When I asked what exactly the $487 was for, they simply said administrative costs, all the dealers charge them. I had already paid a $487.00 Document Fee when I initially leased the car 3 years ago. There was no need for this, as I am perfectly capable of handling the *** paperwork myself for a vehicle which I now own. I hope the state remembers to send me my plate tags for the coming year, and does not send them to Precision Toyota. Absolutely a miserable experience.

Precision Toyota of Tucson Horrible experience!

Horrible experience! They don’t deserve a ONE star! After meeting with the service adviser to do my 6 years transmission and rear/ front differential service on my truck, we agreed to do the service which can take a full day at a minimum. I was supposed to get a call or a text at the end of the day for an update (never got it) I called the next day and left several messages ( never heard from them). On the third day, I call right at 7 Am and of course my service adviser was busy, that’s when I demand it to speak to someone else about my truck, I was put on hold then I was told someone will call me back soon. Well in about an hour Mr. service adviser calls me back to tell me that he forgot to put in the paperwork for my services. I was told that there was going to be a discount for the screw up right, well my bill originally was 1054$ and the final was 1034$. I have been coming to precision Toyota since 2004, bought a Tacoma, sequoia, tundra and a Camry so far but after this will be thinking of changing my car services somewhere else. Unbelievable!

Precision Toyota of Tucson First I would like to apologise to Endurance Extended Auto Warranty for hyper-inflated estimate from Precision Toyota

First I would like to apologise to Endurance Extended Auto Warranty for hyper-inflated estimate from Precision Toyota. I took my 2009 Tacoma to the dealership for diagnostics and repairs, because I had recently purchased auto warranty for my beloved truck. *** as they call themselves, quoted me $9,505.70 for phantom mechanical problems. They called Endurance and they refused payment for repairs. I drove out of the dealership with a $309.00 repair ***. The *** service manager (name omitted), was "nice enough" to lend me a new Tacoma for two days. I took my ToyTaco to BRAKEmax with the report and the manager and all the mechanics were shocked and disbelief of the repair report from *** and the manager complained that that was the reason he wants to leave that industry. BRAKEmax repaired what needed repairing and I drove out of there after paying $1,451.08, which was much, much less painful than what the dealership *** wanted to charge. I urge people to stay away from that dealership as they have lost the moral compass of ethics and are over charging those who agree to get their cars repaired there. I am a 100 percent disabled U.S. Navy/Army Veteran and I'm on fixed income and do not deserve to be taken advantage of.

Precision Toyota of Tucson I had an awful and deceptive experience with Precision Toyota on 10/27

I had an awful and deceptive experience with Precision Toyota on 10/27.After receiving a quote and confirming with a salesperson that the vehicle I was interested in was available, I decided to purchase the vehicle online via the Precision Toyota web site. I did this rather than going into the dealership mainly because I am two hours away in Phoenix, and wanted to be sure the vehicle was held while I traveled to Tucson. The site has a prominent "Buy from Home" button that allowed me to begin the purchase process from home. I entered all of my information, including sensitive PII, and a hard credit inquiry was run against my credit (this affects my credit score). I also uploaded my driver's license and insurance information. The site confirmed the purchase was complete and that a salesperson would contact me for next steps, and I was even able to schedule a pickup or delivery of the vehicle. At this point I was under the impression that I had successfully reserved the vehicle.A few moments later, the salesperson called and confirmed that my credit score had been pulled and was satisfactory, but they would instead be giving precedence to a local customer who was scheduled to come in a couple of hours later. I was told that the only way I would be guaranteed the vehicle was if I were to come into the dealership before the other interested customer. I explained that I am in Phoenix and that it would be impossible given that I am over two hours away. I offered to place a deposit on the vehicle but the salesperson declined and essentially told me there was nothing I could do to secure the vehicle, other than arrive at the dealership before other customers. This is despite going through the purchase process online, which turns out only served to negatively affect my credit. It's unacceptable that I was able to go through the entire online purchase process and that Precision Toyota submitted a hard credit inquiry, collected my sensitive information, and then basically told me they wouldn't sell me the vehicle unless I could physically be at the dealership before another customer. Based on this experience, I'll never work with Precision Toyota in the future, and will recommend that others go elsewhere.

Precision Toyota of Tucson I do not recommend this dealership if you are looking to have warranty coverage

I do not recommend this dealership if you are looking to have warranty coverage. Also, their customer service is terrible in general. When I first made the appointment, I asked for the earliest drop off time. I was told 7am. When I arrived at the dealership at approximately 6:55am, the service doors were already open and there were at least five cars in each of the three service check-in lines. When I finally arrived in the check in area, I was not greeted promptly, and one of the employees skipped my car in the check in line (checked in the vehicle in front of me and then he skipped to the vehicle behind me). Another employee finally came up to me and I was able to check in my car for service. Several hours later, I received a call that they identified the problem with my vehicle, but that it would not be covered under warranty. There was a buildup of some sort on the inside of the front camera for the driver assist. The service advisor claimed that it was some sort of chemical substance, probably a cleaner. I asked why the design would let any substances in and the advisor stated that the system is not air tight. I asked him if it can let window cleaner in, how do people that live on dirt roads not have issues (also smokers, vapers, etc). He said there are plenty of customers that live on dirt roads that don’t have issues. He stated that because it was an outside influence (myself or someone else in the car) that caused the chalky chemical to end up in the camera housing that it would not be covered by warranty. He also stated that because the service technician removed the camera from the window that it needed to be recalibrated ($224.27). I asked what would happen if the camera was not recalibrated and the service advisor stated that the system may not work properly and there may be warning lights. I asked to speak to an advisor and he told me similar things. The manager further accused me of creating a problem with the camera by running a non-invasive USB charging cable across the top edge of the windshield (tucked into the headliner area). This cable came nowhere close to the camera and I never modified anything on the car to place the wire. The manager stated I could wait until Monday for them to clear the repair with Toyota *ifToyota deemed it covered under warranty. If I wanted my car back that same day, I would need to pay their exorbitant camera recalibration fee or pay for a rental while they attempt to have the recalibration covered by Toyota. The manager promised to provide the Toyota customer service number so that I could put in a claim for reimbursement. I ended up paying their ransom because I need to drive to work. I attempted calling the number they provided for the reimbursement claim, and it ended up being the wrong department.

Precision Toyota of Tucson False advertizement

False advertizement. They keep advertisin' vehicles (Toyota Tacomas specifically) that say they just sold when I go to buy one. They say they'll notify me when a vehicle comes in that meets my requirements then one comes in and they don't contact me before sellin' to someone else. If they're pre-sellin' 'em then puttin' 'em on website as available, this IS false advertizement.

I put a deposit on a 2021 Highlander Hybrid Platinum that I've been looking for since April! They said the car would be available in 14 days. They only sent one text asking about financing, and didn't communicate anything else. I reached out to the dealership to ask about it and to get my deposit back... They told me the car was already sold and that the deposit couldn't be refunded! It's sketchy! The customer service was rude... They kept my deposit and sold the car!

Precision Toyota of Tucson I bought a truck from Precision Toyota Tucson and the sales rep, ***, didn't tell me about a big 3-foot scratch on the top of the cab

I bought a truck from Precision Toyota Tucson and the sales rep, ***, didn't tell me about a big 3-foot scratch on the top of the cab. I asked if there were any recalls for the vehicle and was told no, but it turns out that NHTSA actually had an open recall for the fuel pump on that specific vehicle. If I had known about the scratch and the fuel pump problem, I would have asked them to fix it before buying the truck. I wouldn't have bought it without the repairs.

Precision Toyota of Tucson th me. It took them a whole week to finally get the replacement seal and fix it

th me. It took them a whole week to finally get the replacement seal and fix it. I was not happy with the lack of communication and the extra time it took to resolve the issue.

Furthermore, when I received my vehicle back, I noticed that they had not performed all the required maintenance that was supposed to be covered under the warranty. I had to bring it back again and wait for them to complete the service. It was frustrating and inconvenient.

Overall, my experience with Precision Toyota Tucson was disappointing. The lack of attention to detail and the attempt to sell unnecessary services left me questioning their integrity. I hope they improve their customer service and ensure that all repairs and maintenance are done correctly in the future.

Precision Toyota of Tucson In Feb 2021, I took my 2007 Toyota Tundra to Precision Toyota of Tucson for a timing belt replacement

In Feb 2021, I took my 2007 Toyota Tundra to Precision Toyota of Tucson for a timing belt replacement. After talking to the advisor, I decided to also get the timing belt, water pump, and a wheel stud replaced. Once the vehicle was in their hands, the advisor mentioned a possible wheel bearing issue due to a noise they heard during the test drive. They also suggested a fluids flush because of the vehicle's age. I declined these additional services. I picked up my vehicle and paid a bill of $1700. The cashier handed me the receipt and the advisor's recommendation, which I put in my glove compartment.

A few months later, I started hearing a squeaking sound that eventually turned into grinding. I initially thought it was the wheel bearing problem they had warned me about. When I hired a company to replace the wheel bearing due to the severe grinding, I discovered that a bolt was missing from the caliper. This bolt had been removed by Precision Toyota when they replaced the wheel stud. I tried to have the bolt replaced, but it turned out that the caliper was stripped and the bolt couldn't be replaced.

Precision Toyota of Tucson I put a deposit on a truck at Precision Toyota, but they sold it to someone else

I put a deposit on a truck at Precision Toyota, but they sold it to someone else. Then I had them hold another truck for me, but when I picked it up, it wasn't what I expected. Toyota gave me and my bank a price for the truck, my credit union wrote me a check for that amount, and I took it to the dealership. However, they still wanted me to pay more. Not only that, but the truck didn't have the options I thought it would, no floor mats, and the body lines were off. The spray-in bed liner was also poorly done. I complained to the dealership, but all they did was buy me floor mats. They said they couldn't take the truck back because it had too many miles, even though it only had 730 miles. The truck is nice, but it's not up to par. Toyota and Precision Toyota are at fault for selling an expensive vehicle with low quality and terrible customer service. They need to improve their business practices.

Precision Toyota of Tucson Customer service was amazing, our sales representative was fantastic, but I gotta complain about the faulty vehicle I bought on 12/12/22

Customer service was amazing, our sales representative was fantastic, but I gotta complain about the faulty vehicle I bought on 12/12/22. Right after we left with our 2010 Gmc Acadia for $5,000, the check engine light came on. So I took it to my local mechanic and guess what? They found 9 air bag codes, messed up motor mounts, oil consumption problems, P2097 CAT BLOW BY, P0300 misfire, P0303 miss fire cylinder 3, P0877 Transmission fluid pressure sensor, and 2 theft deterrent codes. I called Toyota and told them what happened, but they said none of it would be covered by the warranty. They did say I could bring it in and pay for the repairs myself though. Keep in mind, I barely drove the car 50 miles and they didn't mention any of these issues on paper or when we talked. Plus, even if we did a diagnostic before buying, the codes wouldn't have shown up because the light wasn't on. You'd think a reputable dealership would care more about selling safe cars.

Precision Toyota of Tucson I bought a used car, a 2014 Dodge Journey SXT model, from Precision Toyota of Tucson

I bought a used car, a 2014 Dodge Journey SXT model, from Precision Toyota of Tucson. We dealt with a Salesman named "Friday" who sold us the vehicle. Supposedly, it had passed a 21-point inspection. However, when we went to McDonald's after getting the car, we discovered that the driver side window did not roll down. I called the dealer and spoke to Friday, who informed me that there was nothing they could do because the car was sold as-is. This was a lie because he had claimed the car was in perfect condition. Prior to showing us the Dodge Journey, he had shown us a 2011 Jeep Cherokee, which I test drove. The lights were malfunctioning, indicating a short circuit. Consequently, we decided to go with the Dodge Journey. On September 2nd, I spoke to Friday again, and he reiterated that there was nothing they could do. I warned him that if they didn't fix the window, I would report them to the ComplaintsBoard.com and file a complaint against the company. This kind of behavior is detrimental to customer relations. If they treated me this way, how many others have they mistreated? This is my complaint, and I am filing it for false advertisement and selling uninspected cars. They simply put them on the floor and sell them as-is without informing the customers. That alone is truly disappointing. I strongly advise against buying a car from there.

Precision Toyota of Tucson Toyota.com had a sweet deal for leasing a 2022 Corolla Hatchback

Toyota.com had a sweet deal for leasing a 2022 Corolla Hatchback. It said you could pay $249 a month for 36 months, with $1999 due when you sign. That $1999 covered the first payment, some cash, and fees for getting the car, but not tax, title, and licensing fees. I saw the same deal on Precision Toyota's website, so I went there on May 28th. I showed a salesperson the ad on his computer and said, "I have a credit score of 820, and I want that deal." He talked to his boss and came back saying they couldn't do it for that price. They said they would have to add a bunch of money upfront to get the monthly payment down to $249, instead of the $1999 they advertised. I was confused, so I asked him to print the ad and show it to his boss. He did, but when he came back, he said they still wouldn't honor the deal. I asked why they put it on their website if they couldn't do it. He said they raised the price of the car above what the fine print said, and they didn't want to lower it to match their own ad. I showed the salesperson how the payment estimator on TOYOTA.COM worked. It showed that if you give $1999 upfront, the monthly payment is $249. I asked politely to talk to the manager and see how they could ignore the Toyota payment estimator. When the manager came, he said the same thing as the salesperson. They also emailed me another offer, saying I could pay $2999 upfront and $365-$375 a month instead of the advertised price. I get that there are extra fees for tax, title, and licensing, but I wanted to know why the monthly payment went up by $125 for 36 months. They didn't give me any answers, and the ad ends on May 31st. It's not right to advertise something and then not even come close to delivering it. That's deceptive and wrong. I want them to follow through on this deal.

Precision Toyota of Tucson I got a call saying they found the problem with my car, but they said it wouldn't be covered by the warranty

I got a call saying they found the problem with my car, but they said it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. They said there was some gunk on the inside of the front camera for the driver assist. The service guy said it was some kind of chemical, like a cleaner or something. I asked why the design would let stuff in, and he said the system isn't airtight. I asked him how people who live on dirt roads or smoke don't have this issue. He said there are plenty of customers on dirt roads who don't have problems. He said since it was something from outside (me or someone else in the car) that caused the chemical to get in the camera, it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. He also said because the technician took the camera off the window, it needed to be recalibrated ($224.27). I asked what would happen if it wasn't recalibrated, and he said the system might not work right and there could be warning lights. I asked to talk to a manager, and he said similar things. The manager even accused me of messing up the camera by running a charging cable across the windshield (it was tucked into the headliner area). The cable wasn't anywhere near the camera, and I didn't change anything on the car to put the wire there. The manager said I could wait until Monday for them to check with Toyota if it would be covered by the warranty. But if I wanted my car back that day, I had to pay a crazy fee for the camera recalibration or rent a car while they tried to get Toyota to cover it. The manager said they'd give me the Toyota customer service number so I could ask for reimbursement. I ended up paying because I needed my car for work. I tried calling the number they gave me for reimbursement, but it was the wrong department.
