Defy fridge damaged after opening and removing from box
I purchased a Defy 740L fridge at Pick & Pay Hyper Boksburg (East Rand Mall) on the 24th February 2022.
The service was Excellent at Pick & Pay (Hyper ERM) the SALESPERSON Thulani was brilliant. He went the extra mile to arrange for the fridge to be delivered before 13:00 on the 24th February 2022
I was so excited about my new fridge. I have only opened it on Friday the 25th February and realized that the door on the right top corner was faulty. The door is uneven and it looks like that there are skrews missing. I am extremely unhappy and disappointed with the Defy product. I always trusted the products from Defy. Definitely a disappointment this time around.
I want the product to be replaced or my money refunded please. I cannot pay for a damaged item

Defy Gas Stove
Ive only had my gas stove for almost a year now and the writing in white (where it shows which plate and the celcius of the oven) is off after just wiping with a wet cloth. It is really difficult to determine how hot the oven is and which plate you have to light. I have ordered the gas stove online and still has the booklet and everything.
Desired outcome: It would be greatly appreciated if the writing could be restored alternatively replaced so that I am able to see.
Defy ceramic plate
PC board was faulty and cause plate to switch on and burn cover and course damage to 3 plates. Defy Bloemfontein in, Andre said that has been the customer fault over cooking and abuse, which is not true. It was inspected by Rudy the technician and said that the whole plate must be replaced.
So we are not happy with Andre's finding. We are in possession of a video and photos that can prove that it was not our fault. We want the plate to be replaced because it cannot be used as course by faulty PC board.

Defy stove
Hey I had a problem with my stove not warming and the found that the ellement and door needs to be replaced now I have been waiting for 2 weeks now going on 3 telling me they waiting for spares, this is not exeptable to me not being able to make food, so if you dont have spares replace the oven! Coz im not a happy customer and will not buy defy again if this is how you going to treat a customer plus no feedback on what going on not once please sort this immediately you can contact me on [protected]
Defy after sales service
We reported a fault on our Defy fridge freezer. Informed that it was under guarantee and sent a reference number and advice that the technician will make contact within 5-7 days. This was all done as promised, however, the caller made two calls in quick succession, and when the call was not answered there was no way to call back the number. We called again to report, was again given a reference number with the same advice of 5-7 days response. Yet again, two calls came in quick succession and I was unable to take the call. Job was cancelled with the technician logging that they had made numerous attempts to contact us. This was clearly inaccurate. In addition, no further attempts are made to contact us by some other means. A call was again made and the fault reported. We expressed our concern that the process of setting up the appointment was flawed. To date no response received. Reference numbers 1568186, 1574173, 1579386.
Desired outcome: We would like to have the appliance fault attended to as per the Defy guarantee.
Fridge /freezer
Hi i bought this fridge and the model number said what model it is but this can not be found what type of company is this ?, to get spares is so bad with Defy ,it is a very bad company and you do not get any joy from the service ,i will never buy any Defy products in my house again . There standards drop so much down and it is so long in business

Basket front covers part - 1523017d
I have ordered the front covers from Defy Montague Gardens and spoke to Jason, Jason did not want to help me and told me to talk to Morné, I have been phoning and sending email on email to find out if the covers had been ordered. No returns on my cals or my emails... I keep on phoning and asking for the manager at the spares department to call me, but she never do. I do not know how long I still need to wait for those covers. I am truly unhappy about the service I have received from Defy. Can someone please come back to me and just let me know what the problem is, why do they not answer my calls or emails and I am still waiting from the product. Please do something about this.
Desired outcome: I need those covers as soon as possible please.
Standing refrigerator (job# 1571915)
Good day
Kindly note I am reporting a defect on my refrigerator again for the 3rd time now over a period of 3 months.
I have labeled the job reference number on the subject for easy reference.
October 2021
In October 2021 I had reported a fault with the same product indicating that the refrigerator is not getting cold, a technician was sent out after a week and indicated that the cold plate needs to be replaced. 3 weeks later the technician came in and replaced it with a new roller bond part. the refrigerator worked for about a month.
Nov/Dec 2021
End of November/ early december the same refrigerator started leaking water and I contacted the same technician to check it. He came through and indicated that during the October repairs they may have added to much gas and released some gas which did stop the leak.
January 2022
on the evening of the 21st January the same product stopped getting cold again, The product is still not working (does not get cold). I had reported this online and via telephonic this morning (24 January 2022).
I am frustrated with the frequent events of this defect product as well as the cost of replacing perishable products over and over almost every month over the past 3 months. also the release of gasses from this fridge which is harmful to the family as well as the environment.
Your urgent and speedy assistance will be much appreciated as explained above.
I am also requesting a replacement for this product as we believe it is defective and the frustrations, inconvenience and costs are added up with no reimbursements.
Also indicated that the standing freezer has no issues since purchase and thus confirmation that the refrigerator is a defect product.
Note the above details the events that took place outlining the issues, inconvenience experienced during these past 4 months.
I have lost all trust and faith in DEFY as my experience is now directed from bad to worse and unbearable aftersales service.
It is now the 02 February and still awaiting feedback and response from DEFY
I trust a speedy positive response will be received to avoid any escalations and defamation of defy products on other media platforms

After sales service and customer care
This is my second complaint with regards to the same problem, I have bought a washing machine at the end of September, it makes an awful noise. Went back to the store, Defy took about 2 weeks to send a tech, who didn't bother to let me know what the problem or solution was. I followed up with the store, they told me parts needed to be ordered, beginning of December they told me that my machine would be replaced, they should have done this in the first place. Beginning of January they were waiting for stock, end of January, where we are now, and I still dont have my new working machine which I paid for 4 months ago. Best of all is that Defy themselves have not bothered to contact me once. I have only spoken to the lady at the store, and it seems that they are also not going to get back to me.
All my appliances are Defy, I will definitely make sure that when they need to be replaced it will be with another brand.
Desired outcome: My machine should be replaced immediately
Mini oven
I've bought a mini oven stove from the 16 November 2021, and due to faulty elements i had to return back to the store in verulam, Russells, till today i don't have oven, now i feel like my rights has been violeted, i need my stove or be refunded so that I'll be able to go and buy its somewhere coz yiu guys you have failed me.

After sales service
I have bought a Defy portable Aircon and in the manual it gives me a number to call for any questions or problems. It states "if you have followed the instructions and still have a problem, contact the customer care line on [protected]. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ADVISE YOU ON ANY ASPECT OF THE PRODUCT" this is furthest from the truth, I have called multiple times and no one can help me with a question I have, they all just tell me that they don't know and can't help me or put me on hold until I give up or they hang up on me. I will never buy another defy piece of [censored] product again. These people are all a bunch of idiots.
Faulty Stove still not repaired.. Only purchased 5 months ago
I purchased a Defy stove (model: DGS904) in July 2021, within 5 months I had to log 2 calls to have the same fault repaired (job card: 870037 and 1553408). I called the call centre today and was advised and a 3rd call will need to be logged, a technichian will be sent to repair the stove again. The middle plate of the stove does not work.
Please replace the stove with a new stove as it's not been working for the past 5 months?

Top loader washing machine model no dtl160
1) I bought a new machine on 06/12/2021. I tried to use it on the 7th and it is leaking water. All connections are properly fitted. The technician came out on the 8th and discovered that the soap dish is leaking water. I had to provide him with sealer in order for me to use the machine in the meanwhile as he had to order a new unit. He advised that it will take more or less a week. This is now longer than a week and I am still waiting.
2) I put a load of washing in this morning and now the water is just draining out. This is unacceptable for a new machine and it has a "passed" sticker on.
3) I need this to be resolved asap. I am really dusgusted with this.
Desired outcome: REFUND or BRAND NEW MACHINE
Defy stove and your TOTAL DISINTEREST in your customer experience.
Been waiting 3 weeks for someone just to CALL me regarding the repair under warranty of my stove. Used to be a reputable product but judging by the number of complaints and lack of after sales services this is now a brand to be avoided!
Desired outcome: Fix my stove or give me the money to buy a new stove (definitely not a DEFY) and you can collect your scrap when it suits you.
Defy Fridge
Earlier this year (July 2021) I purchased a new Defy fridge for my myself at Makro, I only started using it on 10 October 2021. About two weeks in the fridge started making a ticking sound (sounds like a clock) I then made a call for it to be assessed, after several attempts a technician eventually came on 13 November 2021, he then told me that the fridge will have to be replaced with a new one and that they will be in contact (which never happened), due to the silence I called back and had to explain everything all over again and I was told that I will receive a call as soon as the fridge is ready. A week later I called back (having to explain everything once again) and I was told that I should expect a call no later than 29 November 2021, today is the 15th of November 2021 and I still have not received a call and I am sitting with a noisy fridge that's driving me crazy. It's ridiculous that I have to follow up everytime. This is just disgusting customer service!

Defy washing machine (job number 150 6096)
We bought a brand new defy washing machine from house and home just over a year ago and since then, one of the bearings started coming loose. I lodged this with defy in august 2021 and they sent a technician out and confirmed it was a factory fault and will fall under the warranty repair. He then mentioned we are welcome to keep using the machine until the repair. Four months since then passed and we after many many calls with them nothing seem to be happening. They just said they are waiting on a part (from mars apparently). Since then the machine has completely broken and still nothing from them. I have lodged nearly 30 calls to the defy service centre and spares department. They promised it will be fixed the first week of december. We are now in the middle of december and still nothing. This has no been four and a half months! The always promise to check in and let me know but never do. I have spent so much unnecessary time and money trying to get this fixed and now having to go to laundromats even though we paid in full for a brand new machine! I don't even know what to do anymore so am resorting to this platform

I bought a fridge online, when it arrived it worked for just over a month and than broke. I have sent multiple emails and getting no where, The service I'm receiving from Defy Port Elizabeth, South Africa, is terrible and disgusting, I'm getting no where.over 3 weeks with no fridge.
Please can you assist me.
I will never buy another Defy product in my life.
Absolutely disgusted with the afters ale I have received.

Defy 600 oven door shattered
The inner glass of the door oven shattered while I was preparing a meal for my family. What is puzzling is that the temperature was not even high and now our meal is ruined. I cannot believe that this has happened to me at such a crutial time of the year. There is clearly a flaw in the product.
I clearly am unable to use the oven in condition and need for Defy to contact me.
I have tried to call Defy but have not been assisted.

I am very disappointed with a microwave currently rusting inside. Currently owning a defy dishwasher, fridge and microwave this makes me very disappointed

I logged a warranty call almost a month on a new fridge I purchased, that after a month had a fault tripping my mains. it took a week for Defy to send out a technician. The first technician came out did no troubleshooting assumed the thermostat is faulty removed the parts and said he will be back and I never heared from him again. After two weeks of still awaiting for a response from the technician I called the service center again and they sent a new technician by the name TK who walked in with his tool box never opened his tool box and did no troubleshooting to find the route cause of the problem assumed the compressor is faulty and said he will be back with three parts he require the thermostat, compressor and the led lights. I am still witing for him it's now almost two weeks each time I call him he give's me the run arround. STAFF LIKE THIS GIVE DEFY A BAD NAME.
IT SEEMS THAT DEFY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
