Try to find another storage unit. Cubesmart is buying out a lot of warehouses in houston texas area. They keep raising the rates all the time. Just raised them again may 2016.
They have hundreds of storage units all over the country. When you're driving down the road reading the signs of them buying out more units, it looks like they're trying to get a monopoly so we have no choice and have to use them and pay their escalating rents.
I've had storage units with several major warehouse companies like public storage and not had them raise the rent all the time like cubesmart does.
It was another company when I moved my things into this warehouse. Cubesmart bought it out and now they keep raising rates. Maybe they want to raise them until we can't pay our rent then they can sell off our belongings and keep the money.

Over charging. Late fees of 150. Paid $475. Constant calls. Bugs in storage. I would not recommend this place. Currently trying to get out, but stuck with fees that are overwhelming financially. Trying desperately not to get my stuff autioned off. Impossible to keep up with fees and pre aution threat fee of 150 added on top. Someone will sue them!
We rented a storage unit in Rockford , IL and they keep raising our rent every 6 months , This last hike was 26% at $33 , last time raise about $30 and now we are going to have to move at these high prices . They are too greedy and people will not be paying a fair price for any long term storage !

Hello, I have been a customer since 2023. I've had severe medical challenges that have turned my life upside down. This summer issues worsend. I've had family attempt to reach out - I was unable but they were turned away. I am on dialysis 3 times a week for four hours a day, in and out of hospital. I need grace before my life is auctioned off.
