The Crossmark Regional District Manager and the Resident Supervisor at the Sam's Club in Edison bully you into deceiving the members about the products that are being sampled by telling them it is healthy for them when, in fact, it is not. Most of the items being offered have extremely high sugar, sodium and cholesterol content but we are not able to mention those facts in the Greet, Tell and Sell speech. We are made to lie to the members as to whether or not we sampled the product ourselves; we have to say yes and pretend it's good even when it tastes like crap. If a member asks you which product tastes better, (and it's something you do not even eat or drink yourself), you still have to make up a lie to convince them to buy it; you are not allowed to tell them that you don't eat it. They continuously threaten your job if you don't do what they tell you to do. They have no integrity and they hold your job over your head and eventually they get rid of you by saying "your causing the resident supervisor problems and you can't perform the job the way you're supposed to", and that's when they terminate you. Some of the workers handing out the samples have no clue about germs and cleanliness. You won't see me eating any of their samples anytime soon. I pack my own lunch AND...you should too!
Yeah well, perhaps you don't work at the same place that I do. We all are entitled to have our own opinions. There's my opinion, your opinion and then there's the truth.
All I can say is I was lied to by Crossmark on my job description I was told so many lies and then they decided I was too smart and terminated me because I caught Crossmarks HR lying. While I was working they decided to place an ad to replace me for no reason. I also was looking for a job and got a better one with a real company and now I am happy as a lurk.

I have never had to say something was healthy when it was not.. but of course I say I like it even if I don't.. we are salespeople, it's our job to SALE. What did you think this job was?
I work as an event specialist for Sams/Crossmark and have to disagree with your comments. I've never told anyone that something is healthy when it isn't... and I have never been required to either. I've been with the company well over a year. All you do is hand the customer the package and let them read the ingredients/nutrition facts on their own. If I do not like something, I will tell people that it's not my thing. There are ways to sell a food item without lying and saying it is healthy when it is not. You talk about convenience, ease of preparation, price/value. You could talk about it being gluten free or low sodium or baked instead of fried etc. etc. Maybe you were unable to think outside the box to do your job. Is that the fault of the company?
