Cracker Barrel - Food / fish / smelly/ unprofessional manager

My wife, daughter and I were dining at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Ypsillanti, Michigan at about 4pm, on this date. My wife ordered a Halibut dinner. It had a very strong 'fishy' odor to it, which usually was not the case. She started to eat it anyways and found that it had many scales on it and was sort of 'slimy' for lack of a better word. We mentioned it to the waitress, who was very pleasant, and called for the manager. The manager stated before we said anything, that Halibut has a very strong odor. He had seen that my wife ate most of it, but it was, by no means a pleasant meal for her. The manager did ask if he could do something. We said, 'please refill our coke, ' but didn't really say what we were thinking. {a refund on the Halibut}. And, we quickly saw that an offer of any kind, was not coming from this manager. We know what customer service is all about. My wife and I are on social security, and enjoy going out to eat occasionally. To be honest, we felt a bit of a twinge within our hearts because 'something' wasn't forthcoming from the manager. That's just good PR! On our way out to pay I asked the waitress to call the manager again. I was not rude, or loud, or using vulgar language, but I did say to him that it's just good PR (public relation skills) to offer something because our experience was not what it should've been. He flatly said that she ate it and he was not going to offer anything to us. I have never in my 60 plus years wrote to a company about anything like this. It disturbs me that a 'point man' who is supposed to be the epitome of service to the customer acts in such a cold, non empathetic manner. I know that this does not reflect the many many times we've enjoyed a meal at your establishments, but, I felt it needed to be heard. Thank you.

P.S. This statement was sent to your central office in June without any response. My info is with my letter...

Still have not heard from company...sad that the few ruin it for the many...
