Sunita Sood is a horrible lawyer who only cares about one thing - taking your money. From the moment she gets that, you can be assured that she'll do nothing to help you. I was forced into bankruptcy last year after being scammed by mortgage modification company and had absolutely no time to find a lawyer in order to save my home. From the very beginning, Sunita Sood displayed extreme incompetence and refused to provide competent representation - I had to go to extra hearings because of her mistakes, she refused to respond to my questions, her office staff is rude, and you'll get sent on wild goose chases as you try to undo the harm she does. After months of incompetence from her, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau - Sunita Sood also refused to respond to their demands for information (they tried twice).
Her ongoing refusal to help only gets worse - she won't tell you how much you're supposed to pay and to whom, she refuses to give you the paperwork on your case, and she also refuses to return calls from others. The errors in her paperwork are equally horrible and only add to the extreme stress you'll endure.
Two months ago, when a creditor started playing more games, Sunita Sood sent a letter stating that if she didn't meet with me by a certain date, I would lose my home. Not only did Sunita Sood fail to show up for that appointment but she refused to respond to more letters and phone calls from me demanding information. Sunita Sood's deadline came and went without a response (she has a habit of lying about deadlines and dates - that happened to me many times too). After approximately 7 letters and phone calls, Sunita Sood finally filed a document with the court (more than a week after she said I would lose my home) and, as usual that document was filled with more mistakes. Of course, she had also refused to tell me that she had filed it and also failed to give me a copy.
Sunita Sood's incompetence had already caused so much extreme stress, that I filed a complaint against her with the California Bar Association as soon as she failed to show up for our appointment. Because of her shoddy practices, I was forced to go to another hearing at which time Sood displayed her true colors - she dumped me as a client. After all, she had already taken $4, 000 from me and had what she wanted - my money. Fortunately, I was already in discussions with other attorneys (who have also pointed out the errors in her filings with the courts that have cost me additional money and huge amounts of stress) and have now hired someone else (which is costing me more money and stress).
Sunita Sood needs to be disbarred. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend Sood or her law office to anyone, ever.
It would be great if someone took on a class action suit against her.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Tihs attorney is a highly respected attorney. The complainant is very ignorant and is making up stories.
In fact, she gets repeat clients and gets referrals from lients.
Mrs. Sood is a liar and money hungry. She did the say thing to me. At first she said her fee is to cover for everything and little do you know she asking for more. Sood is a common criminal. She should be debarred and never practice law. She is a disgrace to good lawyers
Hello, is there anyway to file a class action law suit against this firm? There have been so may cases similar to yours. I myself have also been victimized. Please respond back as soon as possible.
I would love to know who is your new attorney that you found after the unfortunate situation with Sunita Sood. I used her and my case is closed but luckily I had to stay on top of everything because I had heard about that office. I have some pending Chp 7 matters and am searching for a new attorney. Thank you.
