This is Mangesh Hendre, currently live out of the country. My mother lives in Kalyan (Thane, Maharashtra, India) and MSEB is the electricity provider for our area. I use my HDFC online Utility Bill payment facility to pay the electricity bills. I paid my electricity bills for months of Nov'09 and Dec'09 on Jan 13th 2010 (together for both months Rs. 1630.00). Yesterday, on Feb 4th 2010, MSEB employees visited my mother and disconnect the electricity very rudely and harshly by saying that we have not paid the bills. My mother has to go out (she is disable and can not walk) and pay the bills one more time (same amount Rs. 1630.00 + Rs. 25 re-connection charges). When I visited the MSEB website (http://billing.mahadiscom.in/billinfo.php), I can see that my payment was received to MSEB on Jan 13th 2010. The payment information is also printed in the bill of Jan'10 (which is available online). The entire episode created a big hassle for my disable mother and mental stress for me away from home. Please find attached images regarding bill history and Jan'10 bill.
I really need a formal apology of the MSEB to my mother for the hassle and pain created.

We are from vijay nagar area, sahil plaza buliding In the midnight season the light blows up deam up to 5.00 AM in the morning. It is requsted to kindly do the needful to improve look into this matter seriously.

I am staying at Kalyan and MSEB has changed electrical meter of our house without informing us.This is absolutely unfair.I have filed complaint against MSEB.

This is Rohan, Factory owner located at Shahapur, Thane. The 3 phase electric current is not there sinse last 45 days. None of the officials at the Shahapur office are responding to the complaints done on several occasions. Request you to kindly look into this matter seriously.

SUB – Complaint for over billing.

Dear Sirs,

I would like to inform you that I have informed several times through your web site regarding my over reading meter since 6-7 months. But till writing this letter you have not take any solution on my request. You are sending bill regularly on average basis and I have paid all bills up-to-date before due date. Your every bill is showing the meter status as ‘FAULTY / METR CHNG’.

This month I have received one huge bill of Rs. 12430/- for 1190 units consumption. It means I have consumed @ 40 units per day. Please note that I am not staying every day [staying only 20 days per month] in my house for the last 8 months and the power consumption will be maximum approximately 1-2 units per day. So the monthly average consumption will be 40 units, i.e. 2 units x 20 days. On this basis I inform you that it may happen some mistake either for your calculation or you were installed a 100% faulty meter.

In the above circumstances I inform you that I can’t bear this huge bill against unused units.

I request you to please consider my complaint in a humanitarian ground and reduce all previous bills with the current bill for minimum consumption. Also arrange to replace my existing meter for a new accurate reading meter.

I hope you will consider my complaint favorable to me.

Sub: Switcing off street light on Road Tisgaon Naka to Kalyan Station (E)
Respected Madam/Sir
In the summer season the street light blows up to 06.30 AM in the morning. Now it started winter, there is dark till 06.30 AM, the street light swithes off at early 06.00 AM. We the people of Kalyan (E), who gererally go by walk up to station feel very difficult to walk in the dark.
It is requsted to kindly do the needful to improve the position of switiching off the street light early in the morning of the Road from Tisgaon Naka to Kalyan Station.

Very high electricity bill

We are from katemanevali kalyan east area, we have received exorbitant bill of Rs 25, 076, although no one was staying in the house as the consumer was being treated for a heart surgery. We have given all proofs, even of past consumption that bill for past one year was not more than Rs. 630. After much consistent efforts of waiting from morning to evening in office of MSEB they hve issued revised bill of Rs 19, 057 which is absurd. When asked for explaination on this revised bill they tell that "it is already been updated in their system so they cant changed and someone else must have used your connection."
