I bought a Sony XBR55X930D tv. It worked great for the first year. I went to turn on the TV one day and it was completely dead. I was 3 months past the Limited Warranty. Called Customer Service at Sony. They assured me that everything would be taken care of. In August 2017, Sony put out a statement on their website that the power circuit boards in some of the 930D tvs were defective. They would replace the boards at no cost to the consumer. That being said, the customer service representatives were very helpful at first. Little did I know that it was all a scam. I have been calling everyday for two months to inquire about the status of my request. Yesterday I was told that my request was put on hold because I never specified what my problem was with the television. Not true. Shame on Sony for not standing behind their products. Shame on the customer service representatives for working for such a [censor] company. I won't buy sony again.
