This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I was an Invited PAID agent to attend PROSCOUT. We get paid $200 plus hotel, airfare and meals.

All the agents show up for a fun time out of town. The LA agents represent NO celebs are basically in the business of attending showcases not selling actors.

Ask any one of them who they represent and for sure you will know none of them. The organization is scam.

they are in and out taking your 800$ +

I suggest you get a list BEFORE you agree to attend of EXACTLY who will be at the event. You for sure will not get it.

Check out what agents from LA are attending.

The modeling agents are all their to support their own scam. Selling pictures room and board etc...

Some of the PS agents walk away with $1000 to $1500 from fees for speaking and holding pointless seminars.

The acting coach even uses a fake name.

PS is for sure a scam. Do not be fooled.

After the event that scam is out of that town within hours.

Sorry photogrepper22 you are way off base assuming anything about me. Fact is, I could give two ### if my son has a career in acting or not, he will change his mind I am sure a few times in the next few years. Also, the interest did not fade from the talent agent, that is the point I am trying to get across here. He wanted to meet with us in new york, said call him in a couple of weeks, gave us his card, thought my son was a hoot, showed a great interest and made sure we knew how and where to contact him. So unless he got hit by a bus or is dead, I think he either lied or was a ### artist. Either way, grow up? Not sure how old you are photogrepper22 but your comment shows you are immature and cannot accept the truth yourself.

I would not spend my money on proscout I am not sure if it is a scam or not so I will not disrespect the company. Personally I would rather pay 600 dollars on classes than a showcase because the show case is not guaranteed but of course nothing is. But I believe you have a greater chance at succeding without proscout. All you have to do is send in your resume and headshot, take some classes, and gain some experience by doing some theater its a lot less complicated than filling your head with dreams that either you or proscout may have put in there, i dont mean to offend anyone its just my own opinion if you disagree then so be it but you have to disrespect anyone everyone has had their own encounters with proscout so you shouldn't disrespect them by telling them a bunch of nonsense.

Proscout is NOT a scam... I've been to it many times, in fact I took may daughter three years ago, and encouraged my two nieces and a nephew to go. It is great every time, the people are honest, and nobody lies to you. They make it very clear from the get-go what you need to do, what you have to accomplish. What the people in many of these kinds of sites say is wrong, hostile, and in many cases, just sour grapes from haters. Sorry to tell you "Ahmad", but it sounds like the scout liked you, the other times he didn't. Grow up and own it. You sound like you are hating on your girlfriend after she broke up with you. How unflattering. "Centralmaine"... your problem is 1) you got a callback from an agency... but agent interest in you probably faded quickly after interviewing you . Proscout got you the interviews. Then you kinda blew it. So grow up. The other people whose only comment is that it's a scam if its not "free", need to grow up too. Modelign and acting is a business youre trying to break into, it's not a welfare state. ProScout merely offers to bring you the agencies if you want to meet them all. Then, if you dont' do well, you blame ProScout? You sound like the biggest losers in the world. What, are you guys star already? I know many many people who have gotten really good agencies and careers out of ProScout. You can call any of the biggest pro level agencies, they definitely go to Proscout ( i know, i've called many of them). So, stop hating haters! If you do proper research with respectable companies, ProScout checks out CLEAN. These days, many people are just whiny little complainers sometime, and if that is your attitude, why in the world are you pursuing work in a business where you must make your own exposure? You guys couldn it handle it if it was handed to you on a silver platter. Your only talent is criticising the quarterback in a football game (when all you've ever done is crack open a beer and watch it on TV). You think you know it all - and you know nothing. Grow up! ProScout is for people who want a chance to make it - not for people who hide in their own self serving state of delusion.

Proscout was a scam check this I went to a invite in philadelphia, after giving us his little speech about how his mother gave all her money so he can become a model and one day he went to proscout and it happened the next month he was in europe walking italian runways yeah yeah yeah yeah sharing flats with other models, Im like whateva. the guy said he liked my look it was fresh then the very same guy 5 months down the line said no to me when invites were given out again at another location. I tried again months after that and he said i really enjoy your look please come to our convention where all the agents will be to look and maybe sign you. The last time Im like ok really i've seen your face 3 times and you are a liar you told me yes the first time no the second now yes again please go take another persons money you idiot. well I hope this proves to you how nasty and greedy these people are.

Hey all,
I used to trust people, but always double check what they told me. My boyfriend attended the Proscout interview yesterday and was invited for the November event in Charlotte, NC. After reading all of your comments I was completely lost in my opinion about Proscout and concerned for the boyfriend’s money and his disappointment if it turns out to be a scan. So I decided to double check. I just got off the phone after talking to three biggest model agencies in the country, which are listed in the brochure for the November event. I’m not going to name the agencies, you can do the same yourself if don’t believe. So, one of them said they are definitely attending, another said they don’t know yet (although they are already listed in the brochure as attending), and the third (the largest one as I know) kept transferring me from one person to another and I end up leaving the voicemail. So, I don’t know where are all your comments coming from, but they seem to be absolute legit, and my boyfriend deffinately will be attending the big event in November.
I’ll tell you what happened then!

I so agree with a couple of you that is sticking up for proscouts. Alot of people is getting it twisted and must been so excited with they got pick that they was not paying attention when the scout was explaining what the money is for. Erik was the scout who selected my daughter and before he went into details he said how much the cost was if it was a scam there would have been hidden cost he told us up front how much it was and if you was still interested thats how much you would have to pay. My daughter has been invited to attend the New Orleans event and I am going regardless of what anyone has to say. If you thought it was a scam why would you pay and if you went because you didnt get pick you wanna say its a scam. The 795 is for you to be in front of some of the top agencies in the world. ProScout has to pay the hotel pay for the rooms and the agents to come down to see the people that they feel may be good enough to sign. They dont get any money. Erik told us if any of these agents ask us for money then something is not right. ProScout is NOT AN AGENCY! On there website I see Nate Parker and other familiar faces why would they ruin their reputation and allowed proscout to use their faces behind some scam mess. I am going to the event to have a great time and be support for my daughter if she gets a call back or not I bet the experience would last a lifetime and while we are their party in New Orleans.

Don't know about the people who didn't get a callback, am talking about my son who did, and the whole time talking with a talent scout, was led to believe he wanted him to come to New York and meet him this summer. Promises, promises. IF the agency thought my son was not what he was looking for after all, he would not have handed me his card, told my son, I want to see you in New York this summer, and spieled off a bunch of bologna. Proscout may not be responsible for the agents actions, but they should scan the agents better to see IF they are indeed legitimate, which this one WAS NOT.

Hey centralmaine---yes, Bridger Zadina is a good friend of my daughter. We met him last summer at the boot camp you said he mentioned. Again. People. One name--Chambers Stevens. Bridger came to help out last year when we were there. He MET Chambers at ProScout so in a sense he really did get his start at ProScout. He's a sweet kid and a good actor, we hope he's free to join them again this year. Honestly, these people who say that ProScout is to blame when an agent doesn't call back--thats the agencies lack of responsibility not PS. And they could have decided that your kid wasn't what they were looking for after all.
I can tell you Chambers acting camp is no letdown. His wife is one of the producers for Disney. Lots of exposure
And $800 is nothing compared to what you would have to pay if you were trying to do this on your own.

Come on now, my son got a callback, it isn't like I expected anything to be free, I just expected some honestly from the agents part. In no shape or form did we expect anything to be free, but, when told he was wanted in New York and to contact the agent because he wanted to meet my son again, to not get a reply to any emails or letters, photos sent, is dead wrong. Sure agents will tell you they want you and want to meet with you and see more, but do not expect a damn thing to come out of it in the end, because it might not happen.

okay, listen everyone!

Proscout may be a scam to you, but signing with L.A Models was the the best thing that has ever happen to me, and i thank Proscout for it. People are just mad because they see $ 800 and right away your like its a scam. okay people cant expect everything to be FREE FREE FREE. it doesn't work like that, these are top agencies all across the world who come & find talent. of course your gonna pay a fee. so stop acting like everything is free and that modeling is just gonna come to you, or acting. Because its not, your gonna have to do some stuff or pay some money to at least put your foot in the door. So yeah, and yes $800 dollars is a lot, but i GUARANTEE ITS SOOO WORTH IT. It gave me a contract with L.A models, and its because of Proscouts. So quit with the acting like you know what it is, because you obviously dont.

It is too bad people get so psyched up at the first proscout event, where models and actors, actresses are shown on film that have made it big with proscout, ( supposedly). The loud get jiggy with it music they play, the idea that if you are holding the lucky card, you are indeed talented and you were picked because you have something to offer, please. I knew it was bogus going into it, but my son won and I wanted him to be happy because he was SO excited. Other children were smiling, so happy to be chosen to go to the proscout event in Boston. Parents who had big dreams of their child becoming a model or actor/actress had the same excited look. I also remember vividly the kids who did not get a callback, girls crying in the lobby. Getting a callback does not guarantee a thing people please remember this when and if your child gets a callback. I remember Bridger Zadina being a guest in boston mass this spring, and talking about his part in Law and Order, and the Disney Channel. Let me also tell you this, he told my son he really did not get his start at proscout, he got it at an acting camp in L.A. Even an acting camp will not guarantee a thing, and look how many children go into it coming out with no more than they started with. I believe commmunity theatre, college, is the way for my son to decide if this is what he really wants, not dishing out money time and time again. He still asks me why the talent agent has not written him back, considering he supposedly wanted to meet with my son in New york in the first place. People want things so badly and are easily deceived, I could see it in the parents faces and childrens, think twice before sinking money into proscout!

Well model hopefuls, I wish you all the best. I have twin daughters and have been invited two separate times to ProScout events in Dallas. We actually went to one...Bogus! Sorry guys it's all about the money. My girls received 4 callbacks from the "agents" who were all extremely far from where we live and of course required more money for pictures. Lot's of money.
Please understand, my girls are highly marketable and I already knew this. They are identical twins with the "look" for print and commercial ads. Long story short, I choose not to break the bank. It didn't feel right. Instead I used the Internet to locate modeling agencies. All that is required is a head shot and a full body shot, nothing fancy. This is the way to go, my girls are 12 and have been working consistently for 3 years doing catalogs and GAP/Old Navy ads and commercials. If we wanted to relocate they could break into Tv(MOM IS NOT READY FOR THAT) Finally, the only out of pocket money we've spent is travel and food. The agency paid for the photo for the portfolio, and that my friend is the way it works.

Sure proscout is a great weekend if you want to piss money away with nothing to show for it. I am not an angry parent whose child did not get a callback. My son did get a callback, met a talent scout who said he was eager to meet my son in new york, wanted him to send photos and a resume, all to no avail. This man never returned one email or letter. Sure Bridger Zadina talked to my son and wanted him to attend chambers bootcamp in California, which may have just been another letdown. In any event save yourself a lot of heartache and letdowns and go to disney.

Well, good luck to her! We are going down to Hollywood on the 1st for her work with him personally again for awhile. Can't wait til we can move down next summer, and she's super excited as well.
If she's prepared and if he sees any inkling of prospect, then she'll get her callback for the IP's. (•=

Yes, I met him once, my daughter was not prepared for the monologue last time, she wasnt too into the acting, but since the last invitation she stared some acting classes - as s summer camp, she loves them - also some barbizon classes, they are both great and teach you lots of things.. she is going to try again next month for model and acting.. it will be the last time for a while because I don't expect proscout to come back to the panhandle for about a year after this...

Exactly right Janet! And good luck to ya! Get that monologue ready for Chambers (if your going for acting as well). Actually though, I think Chambers only attends the West Coast Invitationals, and I've never heard who else does the auditioning besides him.
Good luck! (•=

I'm telling you.. I KNOW PLEANTY of people who went to orlando and got jobs... I'm going in August to New Orleans.. I will let you know how it goes..

Having an agent isn't guaranteed of becoming anything either. And the callback I was referring to was from Chambers at the actual invitational. Read carefully before commenting.

Chambers is not at the interviews because that is only the selection portion of the process. If you have never been to an actual *invitational* (da**, is there an echo in here or am I *repeating myself*, YET AGAIN!?) then you shouldn't knock it. Tell us your real name Romeo, let's see how well your *legitimate agent* is doing for you! Or at least a little resume rundown for us?

Romeo...u are correct. They *Dont* ask for your headshots/full body shots at the INTERVIEW. IF you are selected you need to bring both and a prepared monologue (if you wish to audition) you bring them to the *INVITATIONAL*! Obviously, you were not selected so you did not find this info out. And what you are reading on the PS website is about the *interview* portion.
So, your facts are **NOT** straight. Janet was correct, not you. Sorry you weren't selected. Think Chambers would have given you a callback? Hmm...

Hey Romeo - get your facts straight the people at proscout have them audition and bring headshots in... of course they don't just look at them and sign them! They actually have to come prepared with a monologue and you have to have a head and full body shot to show them...duh..

Pro Scout is most defiantly a scam I am a legitimate actor signed by a legitimate agency and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get signed by either a acting or modeling agency with out sending in a resume, head shot, or zed card. Legitimate acting agency's wont waste their time looking at someone with out knowing if they have experience, if they are marketable, even talented. Agency's are looking for people who are dedicated and have self initiative to take acting classes. No one becomes a celebrity overnight it takes time. Sorry but Pro Scout is a SCAM. If you doubt me research what it takes to become an actor they're are no short cuts. Unless you know someone in the industry Pro Scout is not the way to go.

My daughter attended 2 times in Seattle. She received no callbacks either time--at least not at the invitationals. I'll get back in a minute.
First, Pro Scout is *NOT* a "talent agency", they are *TALENT SCOUTS" that know what these agencies at the invitationals "may be" looking for at that time. The agents we met at the interviews were prior models (or still working, the agent we talked to a lot was signed with FORD, one of the *best known* and prestigious modeling agencies **in the WORLD**! He had been *discovered* by Ford at a Pro Scout invitational)
The agents at these invitationals are not always the same. And they are looking for something different almost every single time.
If u read the FAQ'S on the paperwork and handouts when u were interviewed and chosen, u would know everything I have said so far. Also on the FAQ'S it tells u why the charge is imposed. It is to cover the costs to bring all of these agencies to the invitational (IP's-industry professionals) and for you to see all of them at ONE TIME. The price is nothing if u tried to do this on ur own. Most agencies don't accept unsolicited material, so if u mailed ur headshots to them--they either throw it away without looking at it, or return to u! The cost is justified,

Ok. So my daughter received no call backs. But, I feel she got better---we received a call at home from Chambers Stevens--inviting her to be his student, ! Chambers was the judge for the monologue audtions both times we went--and she was giving callbacks for 2nd day auditions in front of the IP's.
If u do your homework and look into Chambers, u will not only find out that not only is he one of the **BIGGEST** childrens acting coaches in Hollywood, but u would also find out he is an Emmy nominated actor, an award winning playwright, and an award winning writer for his Hollywood 101 series, "Monologues for..." children to teens.to young adults.
Chambers picks his students, you don't apply and automatically become his student. With working with Chambers through the last year we are preparing to get her Ca work permit this summer, and moving to Hollywood next summer to facilitate auditioning and hopefully working, more easily.
ProScout facilitated my daughter meeting Chambers, something that probably wouldn't have happened without ProScout,
I see no scam involved AT ALL, , !

I agree, you don't have to pay to meet any of these people and proscout will tell you to leave if you feel you can meet them on your own. But you will have to travel to NYC, LA and FL to meet these agents and HOPE they will even glance at you...

You are paying to be in the same place as the agents and for them to consider you for the agency - TRUST me, I know several girls/guys that got jobs from attending these proscout events..

I do think there is a percentage of people they may need at each event...that may explain the people that I FELT, should not be there, because there were some that did not look like model material at all.. some on the other hand, were beautiful - THOSE did get call backs.. its pretty cut throat and black and white..

If there is one thing to remember in modeling it's this: If they are asking you to pay ANY money, it's basically a scam.

I learned this the hard way when I was younger and went to a pro-scout- like event. Basically you should never have to go through a middle man such as proscout to get signed. They will make you pay usually very large sums of money before truly giving you a chance to meet with agents.

The top modeling agencies (Ford, Elite, IMG..) don't need people like proscout to help them find clients! They are doing more than fine on their own.

In modeling if it sounds way to ggod to be true then it probably is. The only way to do it in my opinion is to go directly to the agencies..find out when their open calls are and go! It's free!

Please what agent is going to travel to be paid only $200.00, please stop lying. I attended the event in Orlando, my daughter had 2 call backs, she met with the agents after the event, they suggested she was too short, but gave us email addresses and took her photos... granted, nothing became of it - I truely believe my daughters hieght was the element. I met others at the event who have attended proscout on and on.. they have had success and jobs - the agents are real - they will call you if you have what they are looking for.

The reality is many go home with out call backs - why - because they are just not model material - I saw some of the people at the event, some beautiful - some I have no idea why they were there...

Overall, I DO NOT THINK ITS A FRAUD, I met and have spoken with people who had call backs that were called back from NY agencies to meet with them.. YES my daughter did have 2 call backs - and YES, nothing became of them - we are going back again this summer - there is no reason why note, its a great event filled with great people who have everything in common.

This is exactly what happened to my son and I, and I thought proscout was just a money racket, but my son wanted to go so badly, he went. He wants to be an actor, is great at school plays, funny kid in the class, makes friends easily, just a great personality. We attended proscout in boston mass this spring. He also took one of the little classes offered there, and enjoyed it, for 25 dollars. He got a callback from an agent in New York, part of silver modeling agency, by a talent scout. Needless to say, we have not heard from the talent scout since. He told my son, you have a lot of potential I would like to see more photos of you, and have you fill out a resume. We emailed this agent, we wrote this agent, nada. No reply, no email reply or postal mail replies. Was it worth it, for my son maybe, I know it was a lot of money for myself to dish out, for him to have a weekend of fun. Does he think it is a scam, no, he's nieve and he is 12. Why did the agent not reply to my sons letter after giving him a callback who knows. Why did he not reply to my sons email, not sure, but he will not be attending again. He will have to work his way into the acting industry by doing theatre and if he still wants to be an actor can pursue it out of high school, proscout isn't the answer. I do not think many of these agents have any intention of signing anyone on just because they get a callback, but what he told my son was totally misleading. So to all of those who did not get a callback, do not feel bad, imagine getting a callback and getting led on, to discover it is all a hoax. The talent scout who called my son back wanted my son to send him photos which we did, and contact him for a resume which we did. Why lie to young adults and get them excited about something they really have no intention of doing? I should have put my foot down and not let him go, sitting in the augusta maine auditorium learning about what proscout was, I felt in my heart this is all about the almighty dollar and parents so want their children to be models, or discovered, they will do anything. I am supportive of my sons decision to want to be an actor, but by no means would push him to do it. I would not recommend proscout to anyone, you may get a callback but that means basically nothing.

I attended the proscout event in Orlando Florida, I must say, I do agree. Proscout was very professional, the speakers were great. They give you may pointers on how to speak with agents, how to act and how to walk. Day 2 - is the day you meed the agents. You walk on a catwalk and the agents are below you looking. Some look at you and ask you questions ( IF THEY LIKE YOU). True, you are not guarenteed to call back - BUT, if you are beautiful, I am sure you will be. My daughter recieved 2 call backs, she meet with agents and needed to be 5"8 or 5"9, she is 5"6 - one agent kept her picture. There were other girls who all fit the requirements and recieved 18 callbacks.

The truth to the story is.. if you are not good looking and tall or cute.. PLEASE DON"T EXPECT TO BE PICKED.. of course you are going to be upset, but for those who are picked its an amazing experiance. Yes, its expensive, but they are giving you an opportunity you will never get. We are going to go a second time, since we feel perhaps my daughter is more experianced.

I personally met models who have gotten jobs from agents they met at proscout, SO ITS NOT A SCAM.. don't listed to the people who are upset for not being picked! Again, if you have what it takes a turns into a wonderful experiance. BUT if you do not, don't be upset and lie - Proscout is amazing!

I sat on a plane next to one of the Director of Scouting for Pro Scout this past Thursday. We had a couple of hours of time next to each other and we spoke about life the economy etc. We spoke about my work, and his. I was very impressed with him and his love of his profession. I feel 100% confident that this operation is legit, I even went to visit him this weekend with my two kids in Orlando so he could feel them out for potential. He liked both my kids, but felt rather than rushing them into the current event in Orlando, we should wait for a future event so the kids have time to prepare. If I read only the info on this site I would have reservations regarding this operation. Having met this individual and spending some quality time with him, I feel that Pro Scouts is attempting to open a door for you. Regarding the fee's A lot of planning goes into an event, there is a lot of overhead and salaries to be paid. If this were free people would still complain about not being picked etc.

I agree I just came from a proscout open call here in Lake Charles, LA and and when it was my turn to go to the table he asked me my name (never looked me in the eye) and then looked on side of me toward the back of the room where some kids were and was like "Your not what we're looking for!" How the hell! He didnt even say why or anything and I am a very pretty girl I was only there to be an actress! He didnt ask me nothing to try to get insigh or anything. And its true their callback are invited to New Orleans in August and the fee is $895 to attend! On the radio ad they had said that talent agents and casting agents would be there, you didnt need experience. So what did I do wrong...maybe walked up to the table wrong or handed him my paper wrong...should I have started a conversation. I didnt want to speak when I wasnt spoken to. I am puzzled of what the hell I did wrong!

I went to Proscout in Charlotte May 2nd and 3rd and was very surprised when I saw this Complaint page...

Alright, speaking from experience with obviously some bias:

Yes, you will pay money. NO, this is not a scam! What you are paying for is a service. The ability to get all of these agents in one place at the same time. The weekend is about exposure. The weekend is finding out if you have the look that the agents want. In the entirely of my stay in Charlotte, I learned valuable knowledge through guest speakers and agents in the business that I could not get anywhere else.

In my experience I stayed at the Blake Hotel (but you do not have to to answer the question above, it is not required) I had coffee with several of the agent during breaks. You see them in the hallways, bathrooms, and share the elevators with them- things are very casual the first day and the second day is all about presentation and seeing if you got call-backs. ProScout is very upfront about the agents, costs, and whether or not you have what it takes to make it. I would rather find out at Proscout that I don't necessarily have the look that is appropriate for the industry, rather than travel and spend large sums of money going to see agencies personally. ProScout is a wonderful organization who have helped so so so many... But remember they are also a business and NOTHING in life comes for free.

Before you go to a ProScout event. Prepare yourself. Ask yourself if this is really something that you can put your time and effort into- and even if you come back home with no call backs, you have still learned more in one weekend than some people learn in a lifetime...

The most valuable thing I learned there was confidence, learning to "collect nos" and learning that it is work- not a fairytale- to get 'discovered'. It does take money, determination and lots of time. However, I would definitely recommend ProScout to anyone who really thinks that they have what it takes to make it in the business! Even if you don't make it to the big time, the experience you have, the friends you make, the memories- they all stay with you. I know it sounds cheesy and really far out there, but even with just one call back (which really is not that bad!) I have found what I am looking for.

Good Luck! And please do your research before you write off something just a little different than the normal-everyday business- Give it a shot, you won't regret it. A little information never hurt anybody-

The picture below is of me (in the grey) and Ashley (in the pink) on the first day at ProScout. I got a call back from Victors International Model and Talent Agency and Ashley got a call back from VH1.

So yes, we are real people and this really can happen to you too.
Best of luck,
Grace Welsh

I too attended the Proscout convention this weekend in Dallas. My daughter is almost 7 and she had a good time. She got only 2 callbacks. It was kind of messed up to me that not a lot of kids got callbacks. I do not think that Proscout is a fake. I will keep in touch with my daughters' callbacks and see where this might take her.

I took my daughter to a PS event this weekend in Dallas. She is 7 years old, it was a good experience for her and a expensive one for me, LOL! In all honesty I do not think PS is a scam, when it comes to this industry there is something the agents and management companies are looking for the fact is we do not know what that is, unfortunately. Out of the 200 kids that were there this weekend only 4-5 kids actually got callbacks the other callbacks were pre-teens, teens, etc. My daughter was disappointed, but I explained to her that she had fun, met a friend, and got some experience. I will not take her back in October even though it is discounted; maybe when she gets older I will allow her to have the PS experience. What I will do is submit her photo to agencies that allow you to mail photos in. There are a couple of local agencies here that do this. All I can say guys is if this is your dream, don't let this one monkey stop your show. God has given each of you a wonderful talent use it to the best of your ability believe me someone will notice. Keep striving there are plenty of other ways to break into this industry do some research.

Take a look at the ProScout web site from the Orange County (California) event. Some child stars who were recruited BY PROSCOUTS in other states were in attendance. SInce they are now working actors, I doubt they would say this is a scam.

i dont know...after reading some of the comments i am a little skeptical now but i attended one of the conventions and it was a lot of fun and i learned a lot about the industry...this was about 2 years ago...
there was an agent there who was casting for the movie "Notorius" which is a movie about the famous rapper "The Notorius B.I.G" aka "Biggie Smalls"...and the movie came out not too long ago...take from that fact what you want...
uhhhhh...i dont dont believe that proscout is a scam...
some comments seem legit and some seem like BS...
after you are picked representatives from proscout explain that they are NOT AN AGENCY, THEY ARE A SCOUTING COMPANY HIRED TO FIND NEW TALENT FOR OTHER TALENT AGENCIES, THEREFORE THEY DO NOT MAKE MONEY OF THE ACTOR/ACTRESS... so take from that what you want...
Im not telling anyone to spend their money to attend this convention if they feel its a scam...but i do feel that you can not believe everything that you read, see, or hear on the internet...I have my own opinion about this company and anyone reading my comment or any other comments should still think for themselves in the end...
i will say however, to please, please...DO YOUR RESEARCH! on companies such as this one. When i attending the ProScout auditions i had a great time and i dont regret going at all...i learned a lot while i was there and i left feeling inspired to keep persuing an acting career...

p.s. not everybody is going to get discovered at those conventions and the representatives at proscout made that perfectly clear...but like i said...have your own opinion about what you read and if this is the first piece of information you've happened across when researching ProScout...dont stop here! please continue to research because some of these comments seem very biased.
