PartsTrain bait & switch

I ordered a clutch kit from partstrain.com that advertised having the flywheel included and verified that the fly wheel was included when I ordered the part. I received my order, but I was missing the flywheel. I was then informed that it was a catalog error and they would not send me the part I ordered. The website has now changed to state the flywheel is not included. Does this sound like bait & switch to anyone else? Should companies provide items that they agree to sell? Will never do business with partstrain.com again. Unethical company at it's finest!

PartsTrain deceptive return policy

Avoid buying anything from this company. I would never purchase anything from them again. Beware, as they also sell under the cover of other names and web site skins such as u.S. Auto parts. There's a hidden return policy buried in their web site... It is not on their invoice... After 21 days from order, no returns even if they send you the wrong part. They stress customer satisfaction all over their web site but this is a farce. True dedication to customer satisfaction is timeless and does not have such a short time-limit...

I dont care as long as they have the part I need. I think I can figure out and return the part within three weeks. Thats three quarters of a month!

I agree to an extent... The fact that they use these different skins and websites to "spam" the search engines is really pathetic.

Dude, 21 days is enough time to get your item and decide if it is wrong. AS a company, they can't wait around for people to decide to ship things back.

PartsTrain bad business

Wish I'd looked for complaints before doing business with this company. Our still has not been settled. After waiting 1 1/2 weeks for even a shipping confirmation, rep told us it shipped but that he would need to put in a request for a tracking #, and this would take up to 3 days. Two days later, a shipping conf. came in, and the parts had just left the warehouse that day. When we finally received the order, it was only partially shipped! Packing slip said it was all there. Our credit card was charged over 300.00 more than 3 weeks ago now...we have talked with cust. serv. reps 6 times now and each time we get the same thing: initially an ignorance about the status of our order, "assurance" that they will look into it, "assurance" that they "should" ship out the missing part, and all with a severe lack of professionalism. Sales do not like to give names. They have promised to ship out our part same day, UPS Next Day Air now for a week...three calls later and they still do not have our part. They just ordered it "yesterday". Nobody knows what is going on, nobody gives straight answers, and nobody does what they assure you they will do. With all the complaints, how is this business still open?

PartsTrain theft

I ordered 2 window regulators on Partstrain.com. The website advertised that the parts were in stock and ready to ship within 24 hours. My Visa was charged the full amount, promptly. After not receiving a "tracking number" via email, as promised, I called daily to the "customer service" department (which is nothing more than a call center with untrained idiots running it). Each time, they indicated my order was set to ship out that day and I'd get a tracking number later via email once it ships. 10 days later, after receiving the same story repeatedly, I canceled the order. The person said again I'd get an email with those details. I never received the email; I called again to verify cancellation and was told it didn't get canceled. I canceled the order again. I filed a dispute with my credit card issuer. These folks have nothing more than a theft ring set up. I'd rather have paid more and gotten a quality part and excellent customer service from a legit local business than have to have gone through 2 weeks of hassle with these frauds. Stay away from PARTSTRAIN.com or PARTSBIN.com; they're thieves!

agree that Partstrain are crooks.

I ordered a part from them and they signed me up without my permission
to a shoppers discount and charged my credit card $10 a month for eight months
and I never noticed this charge until I stopped using that credit card. They
will never refund anything back. I sent them all the info more then once and
I never hear back. Isn't this some sort of fraud that I could report to the
district attorney in there are or the inspector general.

PartsTrain vanishing parts

This company is nothing but a bunch of pirates. God help should you have an issue with your item. I ordered a part that was 3 pieces i got 3 and was missing one. Should be simple enough to send a missing piece right? Wrong. I am getting the absolute run around. All their customer service is from sungard so it is all overseas from India or who knows where. They have just stopped responding to me. On their pr board page they say "Our team of customer support representatives is highly trained and is very accommodating. We make available a toll-free line 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for your orders and all you queries as well. Just drop us a line and we'll respond to your needs as quickly as possible." That is honestly borderline liable. They will just string you out until you lose interest in whatever you ordered. I beg of you if you are on the fence just order elsewhere whatever dollars you save will not be worth the aggravation that you are going to suffer.

PartsTrain refund for damaged part

Son ordered 5 parts for his car. when shipment arrived, header panel ($123.21) was damaged and unusable. Called cust. serv. immediately. told me to take pix and send via email which i did immediately. was told to wait 45 days for a response they would contact me. 45 days came and went with no response. called back to inquire on status of issue. no record of pictures was asked to retake and resend to different address = which i did. i told them i would call back in 30 min to verify their receipt of emailed pix. called back, couldn't verify receipt asked to email again to different address. i refused. told them they are taking me on a merry go round ride which i refuse to go on. after much haggling with customer service rep he finally found pix and verified they were sent to shipping to review. could not tell me how long until the issue was resolved. put me on to another person (brenda) who found pix, told me i would hear something in 1-8 business days, they would contact me. here i am 10 business days after speaking w/ brenda and NO ONE has contacted me. called brenda, left message with background info and my ph. # to call me back on voicemail she has yet to return my call. I will contact state agencies if I have to, consumer affairs departments, better business bureau etc. until someone from the company responds to my issue and resolves it to my liking a refund to me for the cost of the part plus shipping and handling.

Ordered 2 replacement parts, a body and a bumper and was shipped 2 parts that were the incorrect size. Called the company and they assured me that someone would call me back within 24-48 hours, of course no call. Call back and was given the same line of BS!
It has been 3 weeks since this has happened and I went to my bank today and filed a dispute on my MC. Hopefully everyone with a bad experience does this that way a red flag is raised from these companies. My quest is not ending here, I am bound and determined to put an end to this insanity no matter how much money it costs me. This is a complete ripoff and consumers have rights too.

I should have read this before ordering from Partstrain. After ordering, a week went by with no tracking number. I called and they told me it takes two weeks to send out these kind of parts (distributor). I told them that two weeks is ridiculous and I wanted to cancel my order. They said they'd try, no guarantee, I'd recieve an e-mail. Within ten minutes I received this:

"Within 24 hours of receiving this email you may track the delivery status of your order.

***Please note that we've assigned the tracking number BEFORE giving the package to the carrier. If your tracking information does not appear immediately or you receive an "UNABLE TO TRACK SHIPMENT" message, the carrier may still be processing this information. You may need to check the carrier's site periodically for the updated information."

I was told that a tracking number is given when shipment begins, but I get one while my order is (supposedly) in the warehouse. They told me earlier that more time is required for distributors because they must be assembled.

PartsTrain will not cancel order

At 4:32 EDT on 10/19/07 I placed an order on line with Parts Train. Within 10 minutes of placing the order I realized I did not order the heavy duty item that I wanted. I called the customer service number posted on their website. I waited on hold for at least 10 minutes. A customer service rep answered the phone. I told her what I wanted to do. I heard typing and then was disconnected. I immediately called back. I waited a minimum of 10 more minutes before a representative answered the phone. I told her what I wanted to do. She told me that the order had already been entered into their system and could not be edited. I told her that I wanted to then cancel the order. She told me that the "Window of Opportunity" to change or cancel an order was very short. I explained that I had called the first time within 10 minutes after placing the order. She said there was nothing she could do about it and that was their policy. I asked to speak to a supervisor. A man picked up several minutes later and repeated policy to me. He then placed me on hold and told me that the order had already shipped. This is approximately 45 minutes after the order was placed on line. I expressed my disbelief. I was placed on hold again. He returned and told me that he had called the warehouse and was able to cancel the order. On 10/22 I had a voicemail from the company confirming that the order had been cancelled. On 10/25 I received an email telling me the order had shipped.

PartsTrain order never arrived!

AutoPartsGiant.com Also known as TheAutoPartsStore.com. Auto Parts Sales website:

AutoPartsGIANT.com
Att: Customer Service
16429 Lakewood Blvd.
Bellflower, CA 90706

I placed an order with AutoPartsGiant.Com on July 11, 2007. Two weeks later and my order has not arrived. I called and they seem to give me the runaround. One person even told me, after I made an inquire about my order and why it was taking so long, that they did not need my business. I would like to tell everyone they do not need your business so don't give it to them.

I ordered a part in March 2007. Now, November 2007, that part no longer works. The inside is completely stripped. Called the number given under the warranty info 5 times so far. The first two calls were dropped after the "answering" service started. One call the person hung up on me after I told them my part was bad. The next two calls I was hung up after just giving my name. I'll try them again later today, and if I still haven't gotten anywhere then I'll be contacting the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. There's no reason I should have to put up with this, nor should anyone else. Please, if you're thinking of doing business with this company... DON'T!

I recently ordered something from them and fear I am the victim of the same scam. I should have looked into them before ordering, there are reports of their poor customer service and possible fraudulent business activities posted all over...

My order was place June 29th. They immediately charged my credit card. I called customer service on July 11th and was told it should ship by the 13th. I waited until 18th and sent them an email per their policy to cancel the order. I heard nothing. I called again on the 23rd and was told that maybe my order was lost in shipping and they would 'put a tracer on it'. I finally received s shipping confirmation on July 25th with delivery expected August 6th. Is still haven't received these parts and it has been nearly 5 weeks. I've been purchasing items from the internet since Windows '95 and I've never had such problems. These people are rude, they lied to me, and I'll never purchase from them again.

PartsTrain scam! horrible service!

I recently purchased a $350 part for my 94 Lexus ES300 from Partstrain.com. I received the part ok within a few days of placing the order however discovered I ordered the incorrect item and needed to return the part. I contacted PartsTrain well within the 21 day return policy window to request a RMA number and ship to address. PartsTrain provided both the RMA number and ship address but it took 4 DAYS to receive it after calling them a dozen times asking why is it taking so long to receive the return information. I immediately shipped the part back to them using Fedex Priority Overnight service. The part was received in California and signed for the next morning by someone at the Partstrain office. I called them later that day to see how long it would take to receive my refund since the part was now received. I got the run around about "Oh, we have to inspect the part first and that takes a couple days" and "Sorry, looks like you sent the part to the wrong location so we have to ship it to NY instead of the California office and that will take several days". I received every excuse and answer but the only one I wanted which was... WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?!

After so many calls to their customer service dept and getting a different response each time. I decided to contact American Express (since I purchased the part using my AMEX card) and let them know that a fraudulent/scam charge was on my card. AMEX gave me a temporary credit of the entire $350 while they investigated PartsTrain. After a month, AMEX said PartsTrain finally agreed to give me a refund of $245. I told AMEX that amt was unacceptable as I wanted the entire $350. The part was shipped back to PartsTrain in brand new condition just like I received it and I wanted ALL my money back. AMEX is currently trying to obtain the remaining $100. I will never use PartsTrain again!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS. They did the same thing to me, but claimed to have issued a credit to my credit card THAT I NO LONGER HAVE. They always tell you to contact us in 48 hours. When you do, you get the same response from the next customer service rep. This place is a boiler room operation that gets there parts from PAW, and resells them at a markup. Check for yoyurself. I am not going to let them get away with their scamming ways!

PartsTrain - poor business practice

I ordered 3 parts for my pickup almost a month ago. I received the order but one of the parts was incorrect. The incorrect part had the correct part number on the package but was obviously mis-labeled. I called their customer service department several times and was told each time that my credit card would be credited with the amount of charges equivalent...
