Bridal Registry Return/Exchange Policy
I was very excited to realize when working on wedding registries that Pampered Chef had a wedding registry option. I registered for items that I would like to have from Pampered Chef and looked forward to receiving them. After all was said and done I realized that I had received duplicate items along the way. I was directed to the solution center for assistance. At this point my wedding is almost 3 months in the past I've completed my thank you cards and had put the duplicate items to the side so that I could contact you and work through exchanging them for other items that I registered for but did not receive. As you well know if the items had been purchased via my registry I would not have received duplicates b/c they would have been marked as received. Today while on the phone with a service representative I learned that I could not just exchange the item that I would have to know who purchased each item so that it could be researched to determine that it was purchased within the year OR it be looked up on the registry and verified. For the items I received I did not keep record of who presented me with the item nor was I given the invoice for the item. So at this point I am in possession of items that I do not need or want duplicates of and understand that your company will not be able to do anything to help me exchange them for items that I would rather have.
I must say that this process is less than customer friendly especially when it comes to receiving items as gifts. I am in no position to control items that are given to me or whether or not their invoice is received along with them. Asking for that information is borderline rude and yet your company has made this a policy in order to simply exchange the item for something a bride would rather have.
I would say to you that I will be writing a letter to The Knot which is used by many brides across the country to assist in planning to let them know how un-accommodating these processes and procedures are and how unhappy I am with your company.
At this point my dissatisfaction in you company will result in never again purchasing any pampered chef items and I will communicate my experiences to as many of your customers as possible.
1/22/2009 -- As a response to the above I received an email requesting the following information so that they could honor their "generous" product guarantee and verify the purchase
Your full name, address, and phone number
Order number
The Consultant’s name
The host’s name
The city and state the show was held
The date of the show
1/25/2009 -- I responded to the solution center explaining that I did not have that information and would not be able to obtain it...so far no result as I just sent the email.
Regardless of how it turns out -- everyone should be aware of the policies so that they know they should ask all that give them pampered chef as a gift for the list of information above so that they know you don't like their gift and/or don't it just so you can exchange it. -- VERY ANNOYING!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Gift Certificate Redemption
Buyer beware!
DO NOT purchase Pampered Chef gift certificates...sounds like a great idea, however they can ONLY be used to purchase on-line, not through a consultant, party or wedding registry...you cannot use them on sales and/or outlet pricing that is online. For example, there Kitchen Shears are now listed online for outlet cost of $6.00 and I cannot use my gift certificate to purchase at this price - If I want this item, I have to pay $15.50 (reg.price).
What a rip-off! Shouldn't a customer be able to use their gift certificate on ANY item for sale or otherwise by the company it's from?
Buyer beware.
Terrible experience
I am trying to find a Pampered Chef dealer in North Carolina in Craven or Pitt County. I have tried to find one on the web, but no luck. I have one of there catalogs and cannot find a telephone number to call them. We are having a church festival, was looking for one to attend with there products. My email address is [protected]@embarqmail.com
telephone is [protected].
Love Cutco, bought their knives in 1976, still have them, still sharp. And I use them everyday. My pans which I bought from them have disappered. My family loves them so much they sneak away with them. And they also are still receiving everyday use.
Yep CUTCO wins.
Cutco Facts (look it up):
- Same company, same factory that made the famous KABAR utility knives for the United States Marine Corps.
- Hand sharpened in Olean, New York, home of one of the first skilled craftsmen that immigrated into this country.
- Featured on Modern Marvels, which featured the CATRA test that Cutco does to back up their claims that their knives are the SHARPEST in the world, not one of the sharpest.
- Potential customers have the chance to have a sales rep coming to their OWN HOMES, and try out the product for themselves, BEFORE they make the decision to buy.
- And when they do buy, they get half month worth of UNCONDITIONAL return guarantee. And free sharpening for life, and beyond, which means you can give it away, pass it down, and still have the guarantee. No other company I know has this kind of ridiculous if not borderline stupid guarantee.
- Price comparison: Cutco Chef's knife's current price: $103. Pampered Chef: $73? Repeated rope tests demonstrate that Cutco knives are sharper than Henckels knives that customers own.
- Vector Marketing is made up mostly of college students who do Cutco temporarily on summer vacations.
I am a new Pampered Chef Consultant and I can honestly say that I have had no problem with them. I too had to apply for their debit card before I could get the website. When you apply for their debit card it states that after 5 days you can call the 800 number that is given to you when you apply and they can give you your number over the phone. You don't have to wait to get it in the mail. I got my number, and got the website all in the same day. It was very easy to set up the website. If I have any questions, I just call or e-mail my director. deullace - weren't you recruited by anyone? I'm not really sure what your problem is with setting up the website. You don't need to know anything about HTML. Bad-mouthing their products just because you don't or won't contact your director is not very professional and maybe it's just as well that you don't become a consultant. I think you are the one with the problem and not Pampered Chef.
Oh for God's sake...CUTCO? REALLY? are you delusional or just trying to sell that crappy, defective "cutlery"...and it's so inferior it doesn't even deserve to be called "cutlery" by the way. Over inflated prices, over inflated and FALSE statements about the quality and DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES! How do I know? I got completely scammed into trying to sell this worthless junk. The only money Cutco is making is from their exhorbitant rep fees. I now work for Pampered Chef and proud to say that in my 17 years with the company, I have NEVER had a quality complaint. Do NOT buy Cutco, and deullace...stop whining and WORK your business and quit expecting others to do your work for you while you cry your eyes out because the money didn't simply fall into your lap. I've put 5, THAT''S F-I-V-E children through college with Pampered Chef so take your whining, lazy, ignorant self to some other company and guess what you'll get? Exactly what you get now...nothing! You didn't realize you would actually have to work to get money? What planet do YOU live on? Cutco? You people crack me up!
I cannot even get help from Pampered chef to setup a website. I have to use their website and their debit card, however until they decide to process my request for the card I cannot get the website, so since I travel a lot my hands are tied and I cannot begin selling any products to meet the deadline they give you to get the extended access. This is a terrible company with rotten customer service to those that are paying to sell their products, I can only imagine how terrible they treat someone that just buys a single item. Run from this company and avoid using them at any cost. I am trying to get my money back now and will never ever use their products or encourage anyone else to do so either.
that is so funny.
we are not talking about knives we are talking about COOKWARE.
and a HUGE Cutco cookware is $1500 - $1700 with up to $300 of free stuff.
guarantee IS DEFINATELY BETTER!
No need to worry about reciepts or WHO you bought it from (LOL)
No need to worry about reprinting or limited warranties (LOL)
You don't need to track down anyone. Just go to Cutco.com
They have a FOREVER GUARANTEE . all you need is to have to product to exchange or return for a new one.
It applies to EVERYONE, not just the person who BOUGHT the item . (so you can pass it on through generations or even give it away as an anniversary gift or birthday, or wedding gift)
Cutco DOES NOT PLACE ANY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE CONSUMER TO SHOW PROOF OF PURCHASE.
With ANY SUCCESSFUL TRUE, AND HONEST COPMANY, they will have all that information. but like i said even if the products were given as gift THEY CAN EXCHANGE FOR A NEW ITEM! NO QUESETIONS ASKED.
LOL you're so funny...
Cutco is NOT the Cheapest nor the most affordable knives! $2000 for a set of knives is rediculous. And unless their guarantee is BETTER than LIFETIME, I'm not sure what you are talking about.
FYI - Pampered Chef knives have a LIFETIME warranty. Simply KEEP your receipt. ALL of the return information, including address and phone numbers are listed on it.
Better yet, simply contact the consultant you purchased them from and they can help you return it WITH YOUR RECEIPT. Or any consultant can help you with the information listed on your original receipt.
As with ANY product that you purchase with a lifetime warranty, it is the responsibility of the consumer to show proof of purchase.
I have been with Pampered Chef for over 14 years and have returned various items for various reasons for customers. NEVER have I been told or had to tell a customer that their warranty was void if the product was scratched. That is simply not true. The product will obviously show normal wear and tear when used.
Lastly, ALL Pampered Chef products are guaranteed for a minimum of ONE complete year (except for glass dishes - 30 days on those). If you are dissatisfied, it does not perform correctly or is defective within that first YEAR, Pampered Chef will replace, exchange or refund your payment - with your original receipt.
Simply keep your receipt or remember who you purchased your products from and they can reprint your receipt for you.
If you have any questions, needs or concerns, you are more than welcome to contact me: Heidi [protected]. I am more than happy to help you or place your order.
There is an even better company, with better products, and a BETTER guarantee.
Did you know that i called pampered chef, and asked them about their guarantee...
They said that it only covers defects, and the guarantee is void if the product is scratched and if the consumer does not follow the EXACT cleaning instructions for their products.
I researched and found that CUTCO (a company that helps college students with all sorts of scholarships) has the BEST products, with the best guarantee. A rep came to my house and did a presentation. She travels through many states to do demostrations and sell CUTCO products to pay for her college (she is studying to be a child phsycologist).
Her rep number is [protected], and her phone number is [protected].
This company has the biggest sets available for the CHEAPEST most affordable prices. They offer payment options with NO INTEREST charges.
Hope my information was helpful.
Lucy.
Are you looking for a consultant or a store? I live in Pitt County and I know a few consultants.

Poison product
Pampered Chef sucks. Here is a trail of email concern and the not-so-wonderful replies:
ME: Hi, I ordered a 1 gallon beverage mixer-container from a representative at a party, and she moved out of state shortly after that and had never given me a receipt. I wish to return the container as I believe it is made of polycarbonate which has been linked to toxins released in liquids held in them.
PC: Thank you for contacting The Pampered Chef. We appreciate you bringing this information to our attention. We would like to assist you further by honoring our generous product guarantee. We have 1-year guarantee on our pitcher. However, let us assure you that Pampered Chef items that are designed to come into contact with food have been tested to FDA standards and are food-contact safe. We stand by the safety and quality of our products. Amee Zaveri Solution Center Representative
ME: Although the FDA had approved polycarbonate containers as food safe, there is increasing evidence that this is not so. On April 18, 2008, Canada
declared them as unsafe, and in both the US and Canada they have recalled
baby bottles made from polycarbonate. Therefore, I have also taken measures
to ensure the safety of my children by removing all items labeled with 7,
and contacting manufacturers who did not label their items to verify construction.
PC: Thank you for contacting The Pampered Chef regarding your experience with the Family-Size Quick-Stir® Pitcher. Our guarantee guidelines are thoroughly stated on the back of our sales receipt, and they are one of the many reasons why our customers repeatedly order from The Pampered Chef. Within one year of the original purchase, you may refund or exchange the item for any other item available for sale at the time of the original purchase, provided it has not been discontinued. Understandably, we have to set standards to our guidelines. We are sorry that we are unable to honor your request at this time. It appears that the Family-Size Quick-Stir® Pitcher is beyond our 1-year guarantee period, as the ship date of your order appears to be 04-APR-2006
ME: Thanks for your assistance. Regardless, what I needed to know is if the construction of the pitcher is Polycarbonate, so that I may remove it from my home. It is not labeled with any recycle code, nor any of the plastic codes like PP or PE. Could you let me know the construction? I could not find the item on your inventory online.
PC: We do not classify our products using the recycling code you have requested. Like our competitors, we do not disclose the composition of our products as we consider this to be confidential in nature. The Society of the Plastics Industry developed and uses this identification code to help sort products during the recycling process. Their public web site states that these identification codes do not provide guidance on the safe or intended use of a product and should not be used for this purpose. If you would like more information regarding the purpose of recycling codes, you can visit www.plasticsindustry.org.
ME:Sent: 23-Apr-2008 It is unfortunate that even though I have stated my concerns for the health of my family, your answers have been nothing short of evasive. As a mother, wife, sister, daughter, consumer, government employee, and educated citizen, you can be certain that due to your lack of cooperation, I will be posting your reply on every website I can find and destroying every Pampered Chef item in my cabinet. Hopefully I will not be invited to another party; I would have to bring your email with me to inform others.
PC: We understand your concerns and have addressed your inquiry to the best of our ability and knowledge. I too am a wife and mother of three and have complete faith that our products are safe as well as the information provided in the link below. I would suppose it would be a matter of who to believe at this point. In the studies provided on the the website below, it explains the concerns and misunderstandings there appears to be regarding this issue.Like our competitors, we do not disclose the composition of our products as we consider this to be confidential in nature. We stand by the safety and quality of our products.

My pizza stone has been well seasoned and I've taken excellent care of it for many years. However, it has become very STICKY in parts. The last items I baked on it was breaded fish filets. I've tried a plain scrubby, a putty knife, but so far, nothing has worked. What can I use ?
There are lots of reasons to complain about a multi level marketing company that takes advantage of its representatives. Using polycarbonate is not one. If you've seen a scare story or study showing it's bad, you won't like any other plastic being used. PC is the highest quality plastic you can get. If you dive into other plastics you will not want to use any at all.
I have a white lemon squeeze and it is discolored and has been chipping the paint has chipped off from the handle and at the connection.
I can be reached at [protected] or by email bylle1@aol.com
I think you over-reacted in this. You stated that you wanted to return the item. They said you couldn't becuase it was past the shipment date. You then asked if the product contained Polycarbonate. They told you that it's their policy that they do not dislose the composition of our products. At that, you simply should have tossed the pitcher in the garbage. Threatening a multi-billion dollar company was...how can I say...childish.
From what I read here, I would continue to use The Pampered Chef line. and was thinking about selling it myself. But my four kids keep me running.
I received a Christmas gift. PC could look up the address it was sent to, the shop number. So they could see where the gift came from and the party. All I wanted to do was exchange it. I never used it or opened it and it was less than a month from receiving it.
They wouldn't do it. I own hundreds of dollars of PC. That is the last item that will come in my house. I will never buy from them again.
