Oman Air / service on a business flight from kathmandu to muscat
I, along with three other people, had an economy flight from Kathmandu to Muscat (going onto London) on the 12th April 2018 number WY336T.
When we arrived at Kathmandu Airport to check in, we were asked if we would like to pay for an upgrade to Business Class as there were seats available.
We agreed but it took some 45mins to arrange payments etc asthe card machine had broken down, so we had to pay cash in Nepal Rupees, having changed UK Sterling to the value of 70, 000 rupees each totalling 210, 00 rupees.
When all was arranged we were given a voucher for the Business Class Lounge.
The lounge was SHUT when we went to go in and by then the flight was being called to board.
After being shown to our seats, a steward brought a 'menu' for the flight meals which we all duly chose.
When the meal arrived it was not the one which was asked for but the steward stated that was all they had...I had ordered Canneloni but got a rice and chicken dish which was inedible. The others had ordered the same and also could not eat the rice dish. The steward even tried telling one person that it WAS Canneloni ?? despite it obviously being rice ??
We complained to the steward and chief steward and they said it was not their fault as they had not expected anyone in Business Class for that flight.
I would be obliged if you are able to say in what way were arte recompensed for this disgraceful treatment.
