North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] zip cash fees after putting money in account

I recieved a zip cash bill because my account got to $0 so I put money into my account. I recieved another non-payment notice and checked my account which now had money in it so I assumed it was sent in between me paying it and the current time. Now I have a $43 dollar bill for 7$ in tolls because apparently giving money to the company by putting it in my account does not cover the bill they sent me unless I call them. This oversight needs to be corrected because the company has my money already and it's using this scam to justify charging fees.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] extra fees

Mintex and NTTA, I'm being charged an incorrect amount. I received a bill from NTTA. I went to the DMV on Feb 21, 2018 and paid my account current due to receiving a bill. I did not have the bill with me at the time. I asked the rep are you sure this is the only amount she told me yes. I thought my account was clear. I later get a bill for $55.09 and $35. Of that amount is fees. I went to pay my bill. This is unfair and incorrect for me to be charged these fees. You can clearly see that on Feb 21, I went to pay my account current.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] over billing

I added my tolls and its about $ 80.00, I realize some are way overdue but I cannot afford the $800.00+ charge that it has ballooned to, if you are willing to make a reasonable charge I can pay the total amounts and some kind of administrative fee but not $700.00 I called to ask for a payment solution and the person said there is no way of helping me the only discount I was offered was $ 5.00 this is way out of my budget I have 4 kids and live modestly can't afford this, please review my case so we can settle this within a reasonable amount.
Thank you for your attentions.
p.s. The lady on the phone was failry nice and courteous her name was Toni, (if it was a guy I apologize)

I haven’t received a bill in months. Last time I called they said I would receive them electronically which I don’t remember signing up for. Months pass and I still haven’t received them. As I’m searching through my spam all the bills are there and for 34.00 in tolls I now owe 367.00! The representative could’ve helped me both times but my guess is they know the longer it takes for me to get the bill the more they can rack up the administrative fees. I’ll pay my toll usage that’s it. How does it cost 10.00 and 25.00 each to send out an email?

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] unresolved charges

I have had a NTTA tag since 2016. I recently received a bill from HCTRA toll authority for over 4, 000.00. I contacted NTTA for help and since then everything has been down hill. They initially disputed the charges and kept asking me to call back for the resolution. Finally, they told me that I had to get the resolution from HCTRA because they had not heard back (which defeats the purpose of having NTTA) HCTRA informed me that they reduced the fee to a little over 500 dollars at the 1.75 rate (not the 1.25 you get with the sticker) and they also stated that they had informed NTTA of that over a week ago. When I asked to speak to a NTTA supervisor about the additional .50 I was going to have to pay because their sticker did not work, I was told that I was to blame for placing a O instead of a zero in the license plate. This sticker has worked just fine since 2016 and all of a sudden they're saying this is whey it did not work. I think that this is very unfair and now I am out over 500 dollars because something is wrong with my NTTA sticker. The supervisor was also very rude.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] toll gate charges at dfw airport

On April 10 I drove to the airport to pickup a friend. I entered at 8:17 (Lane DFW-NPE-054) and exited at 8:24 (Lane DFW-NPX-076) through the North Entrance using my Toll Tag. I was charged a fee ($4.00) as if I had used the Airport as part of a regular commute (going all the way through the airport). I was told that I was charged the higher rate because I was only in the airport less than 8 minutes! This makes no sense to me. If I enter and exit from the same entrance, I should not be charged the 'commuter' rate.

I feel that this is an exorbitant fee and NOT in the spirit in which the new rates were intended to be applied. I am being penalized for being efficient about picking up my traveler. And the NTTA is filling it's pockets preying on unsuspecting Texans. This is shameful!

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] toll tag/zip cash.

I have an account with ntta. Some how managed to get a bill in my husbands name. When you make an account you add each person and their dL #. Called and the rep the first time and she said ignore we will fix. Months later hits collections. Call back and now they want me to pay Zip cash but yet never stop taking from my toll tag account. That's double charging. No help. Literally the supervisor Toyia 6181 argued with me. Says she is going to call back after she pulls a call to check. Because she also said this is all my fault. Favorite part is she made sure the call ended at 6 when they close. Would love corporate to contact me ASAP.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] no first bill

I received a nonpayment bill in February around the 12th for 19.06. I just received a second nonpayment notice for 44.06. I never received a first bill for 9.06. When i called around the 12th of February the lady tried to force me to pay the bill with a card or to get my kids to pay it with their card. I didnt have any money on my card i am on a fixed income and i told her i didnt know when i would be able to pay but that as soon as i could i would send a money order. I call today to pay this bill the lady said she could take the first late fee off so i paid 34.06. She informed me that the lady from the first time i called around February 12th had put in that i was going to pay by money order by a certain day. I never told her a certain day as far as i can remember. I feel like i was scamed and that i shouldnt have had to pay the 34.06 since i never recieved the first bill without a late fee.

Just like you and the others, I never received my 1st bill and 1st notice and i had to pay the $45 fee since I don't want to owe any money to anybody, but after reading some complaints here, that there are so many people who never received their 1st bills, is there any way we can dispute this and get the extra money we DIDN'T OWE? Charging us for penalty for something out of our control is foul. Of course we do not have proof we never received the first 2 letters, and our word against theirs that they have "a record they sent it to us 1 in April and 1 in May".

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] unethical behavior, forced $20 holding before can pay bill, late charges for non-received payment for automatic withdrawal

Hello,
I called NNTA back in October to ensure that I had no charges on my vehicle. I then opened an account as I knew I would have charges at some point. Now, not only do I keep receiving bills but sometimes at the wrong address so that I do not see it and get fined. I have called and taken care of one of the bills so that I am charged the $4.63 but this should be automatically coming out of my account AND it should be the $2.60 listed on the bill as the account price. I opened it so that I would not have to pay the bill each time. A separate bill was also sent to my father's address. Thinking that it was for his vehicle, he paid it in full. However, not only should it be the discounted NTTA account price, but it should not have a late fee. It should have automatically been removed from my account, which would not even leave the possibility for a late fee. Furthermore, in order to even pay the $4.63 I had to add $20 to my account?! This is total and complete scamming on the part of the company. I have to drive the tollway to get pretty much anywhere. I get that, I'm forced to use your services. The least you can do is not take advantage of your customers. I should be refunded the $18 for the late fee and the non-account toll fee. I should not have to pay $20 before you agree to let me even pay a bill. I should not havev to call every time I want to pay a bill. This is completely unacceptable. I will be reporting this to the BBB.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] billing

I was charged 3.91 for a toll on which was due on 12/14/2017. I paid it in full on 12/13/2017. Instead of posting my payment as paid, NTTA has repeatedly billed me with additional charges and has now sent it to collections. I have sent the proof of payment several times and talked with Shanika on 02/12/2018 and she said she cleared my account. Yet now on 03/09/2018 I get a notice that the bill has escalated to 38.91$ and it has been sent to collections. This is harassment. I paid my bill on time for the amount that I was billed! I will never use a toll road again. I canceled my toll tag.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] zipcash

I would like to request that all fees be waived and I only be charged for the tolls.

I was charged for Zip Cash and I had an active toll tag account. I added money to toll tag because they were unable to charge my card. They did not apply the Zip Cash balance and it accumulated and now they want me to pay all these outrageous fees.

I have 5 cars on my toll tag account and I have been a toll customer for many years.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] I was given the wrong info

I received a invoice with a payment due on Nov. 19. So the first time I called and spoke to someone and they told me they could not find my acct. My problem with that is if a bill is coming to my address why aren't you unable to find my acct with billing address just another way to add late fees to the current charges. So then I called to make a payment again and said the same thing I told the first rep and the rep asked for my current licenses plate number and I told her the charge was on my dealers tag and she still proceeded to take my payment. But I recently learned the payment she took was for a charge that was not even mailed out to me yet and they want to make like it s my fault because their rep took the wrong payment and want me to pay late fees. Me as tax payer pay for this tollway to built, then I'm charged to use the tollway and then because of your mistake as a company I have to pay these high late fees. YALL ARE A REP OFF OF TAX PAYERS MONEY and its not about the $10 late fee, The problem is I called to make a payment and because your system is not updated and your reps don't listen carefully I am being penalized. Why would I make a payment on a charge that has not been sent out yet, and not pay my past due balance. With all the money yall make why can't you locate invoices by name or address? I really feel like I have been sucker punch because I called to pay my bill on time and still received a late notice. I need to speak to someone besides the supervisors at your call center because I don't trust anything they say and that $10 late fee needs to be remove.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] charging fees and late payments even with a toll tag!

I have had a tolltag since 1990. NTTA has been charging me late fees, high fees and nonpayment fees even though I have had a tolltag on my car for almost 30 years!

Instead of charging me tolltag rates, they charged me the rates without a tolltag. Then even though my credit card has been on file for 30 years, they charge me late fees and unpaid fees etc.

When I had a license plate that their system could not read they made me put 2 tolltags in my car- so they could have two variations in their system. Still didn't work and I was charged extra charges.

Their resolution to this is to make me pay a lower amount of these fees and charges. This is extortion as I owe NO LATE PAYMENT FEES, HIGHER FEES or anything other than regular tolltag fees for normal use.

I've had a toll tag for 4 years and in September 2017 they started billing the rate the non toll tag people pay. & Charged me a invoice fee. Of course I didn't pay this because my credit card has been on auto pay and thought they just sent me a bill to show me where I've been. Than got another bill 2 months later charged me late fee so I signed into my account and requested another toll tag sticker. STILL had to pay the late fees and tolls for a NO TOLL TAG USER!

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] billing

I never received a paper bill for seven dollars in toll charges. Then I got a credit notice in the mail that had added on a $35 administrative fee. This is despite the fact that the only administration that was done was sending the bill out. It would have been easier to just mail me the bill.

I would have gladly paid the $7 had I received the bill.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] hold being lifted

I called today to pay so that the hold on my registration would be lifted. I specifically stated that. I was told I only need to pay $246.67 and that receipt would be emailed to me w/in an hr, this was at 9 AM. I called back around 1 PM as I had yet to receive my receipt. I was told by another agent that I needed to pay more money to get it lifted. I spoke to a supervisor and was advised that I spoke to a customer service agent earlier and they do not handle this. I adv that the dept needed to get educated on this issue. I asked to speak to her boss. Her boss still did not understand the issue at hand, kept telling me that I was not specific enough. How am I supposed to know that there is money owed on a temporary tag? I do not work there nor do I see your guys' system. That is your guys' job and needs to be told to the customer. I am very displeased that not even going up to high management am I getting anywhere with them. Please retrain and hire more competent people to manage these accounts. I would like to be refunded some money for my inconvenience. Please have someone contact me [protected]-Maria

Not gonna work. No one can give you a straight answer because they are all crooks. I've seen so many stories where people paid and called customer service to be told there is no payment on file and will need to pay again. Biggest Scam of alllllllll time.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] toll roads

I received a bill from ZIP Cash for a bill of $49.34 . I informed them that I never received a bill for this account. The only things that they kept stressing to me was to open a Tag account in order to have the fees removed.
I feel that this was purposely done. I fill that they purposely do not send a bill so that they can send out late fee notices to try and sell tags.
I have all of the tags notices that I have received in my bill pay account with my bank and I pay them as they come in. If I had ever received a notice, it would have been paid right away.

I am planning a class action law suit against NTTA. They have been scamming the public on more than one level. They have been scamming me and pressuring me to buy toll tags by not sending out ALL of my bills so they can charge late fees. Now that I see it is not just me they are doing this to...I will contacting attorneys to also contact others this has been happening to. NTTA is crooked and arrogant...they will not change their practices...without a judge forcing them to...and also requiring them to pay back all the unjust fees they have charged their customers. They also make it very ambiguous on the total amounts due so you will not realize it...so they can charge fees. They also NEVER reverse any fees they fraudulently and dishonestly justified charging. I will be contacting attorneys. We will get our money back and then attorney fees, etc.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] billing

Haven't lived in Texas in 5 months and still receiving bills from NTTA.

Doesn't matter what info you give them they appearently can't track anything in their system. I was just sent to a collection agency for a $25 bill, paid last week. NTTA finally got me the invoice, this week, after I paid the collection! Did they have the new address on file, yes. Have I ask everytime I have paid if I should expect another bill, yes. Can't pay a bill you don't get, but they send you to collections before the send the bill.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] customer service

You would think when you call to get your bill resolved customer service would at least be courteous. I spoke with Orvette, so she says her name is and was very rude. She did not let me speak and would raise her voice at me if I was a child. She was would get upset and frustrated when I asked her her question. After being put on hold for 3 times I called on another line and got thur to customer service. Caroline was very helpful and I was able to resolve my bill. Some people are just not meant to work in customer service, no one wants to call to pay their bill and have attitude on the other line.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] unauthorized charges

The online system said I owed $157.17 so I paid it and then I was told I over paid by the customer service line. they said dispute the fee with your bank and call back to pay what you actually owe $97.00. NTTA declined the refund so they basically stole $60 and now they are adding fees, putting me in collections and just adding bogus charges. I want to clear this up but not pay for their theft.

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] ntta overcharging on unpaid tolls with overwhelming fees & fines and threatening arrest

Single mom unable renewal for car registration due to inability to get assistance for the additional $2700 owed to ntta. $1700 is the extra fees & fines added to overdue balance. If local government is unable to help or continues to turn a blind eye. I plan to report this to fair credit reporting the act (Fcra) and the fair debt collection practices act (Fdcpa) to report these unfair practices. I feel if enough people report these unfair practices then those who allowed this type of blatant abuse can not continue to refuse to work with people who have experienced a job loss, divorce or injury and unable to make ends meet because of said events our elected government officials should step up nod do the right thing!

This is totally a scam. I didn't even know they change their rates according to traffic at the time. How is this even legal? With them being "privately owned" how are they able to put holds on anything. This is a scam and there is no one to stop these people from doing this. Why, Because they are all making money off this. It's all about people who have money just making their pockets bigger. One of the biggest scams and no one to help stop this. No matter How many people complain.

Ha! Welcome to my exact same scenario. Single mother facing foreclosure already and the $150 or so I actually owe is $1, 008.00 now. To make matters worse, they are illegally billing me for the same debt they sold off to a collections agency. When if some sweet unsuspecting elderly woman got 2 bills from 2 different people for the SAME and single charge and was to pay them both? They would just keep that money and run wouldn't they? Who is going to stop this illegal nonsense? I can't get my car registered and it has been almost 2 years since I've been able to. Thanks NTTA for making life for me and my children a living hell.

My NTTA bill is over $7, 000 and they told me I could get on a payment plan if I give them $4000! This is Highway Robbery (no pun intended) it costs too much to drive on the freeway, and it should not cost anything. Whoever voted for this crap made a big mistake. I cannot register my car and the government should be ashamed of themselves. SCAM ARTIST!

North Texas Tollway Authority [NTTA] invoices received (zipcash id [protected])

I sold a car (2005 Cadillac SRX) December 10th, 2016. The people that bought it left before I remembered the tag. The took it to Dallas where they live and drove it and got this ticket in April. They said that they were going to pay it so I did not. (Not to mention if I did they would get more maybe) I ask them to mail the tag to me and they have not. Every time I get invoice from NTTA I call them (buyers) and Ntta.
Tennessee does not have a Vehicle Transfer Paper. The people that I sold the car to did not bring one or tell me that they needed to fill one out. I do not live in Texas, Have not been to Texas and will not come to Texas.
The people now are refusing to pay and I called to pay to get it over with only to be told to try to get a copy of back of title that they have that I signed. Every time I call they tell me to provide another paper. I have faxed and sent the requested items and still receive a bill and when I call they ask for something else. I had the car for over 10 years and had the title, so when I sold it I gave them the title as I am supposed to do.
I do not have the car or the title as it was sold (exchanged money for car and title goes with it). I cannot help that they did not register car when they arrived in Texas. It is now my understanding that they have sold the car.
I would like to clear this up and move on. Over 6 months is enough. I do not have the car, title or tag,. They keep saying they are going to send it (they moved now and cant find it) and if they do not I am going to file a stolen tag report.
I live in Chattanooga Tennessee and am a single parent trying to work everyday to make ends meet. I understand that it was my tag. Registered to me. On a car that I sold. Lesson learned.
Please tell me how I can end this harassment. I do not want to create an account online as I do not live in Texas nor will I come there. I am happy to stay in Chattanooga.
Thank you for any assistance that you may offer to clear this up
