privacy breach/false advertising
Indeed.com is truly a fraud. They advertise jobs that are either no longer available or donot exist at all and are posted by scam artist seeking your personal information. I recently applied for a job that I assumed was a real. After applying I was emailed by some phony recruiter who told me that I would have to set up a yahoo account to be interviewed on yahoo messenger. Who interviews potential employees on a messenger service?! Additionally, I emailed the company to tell them that scammers are using their information to snag victims, that's when the company informed me that they didn't post a job and don't even market to my city!

jobs don't exist
Scam artists ! Be warned !
I foolishly uploaded my details to theses chancers in the mistaken belief they would assist in my job search. All I have received from them are jobs that are no longer current or have never been there in the first place. The first time it happened I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried contacted them to inform them the job listed was no longer current. I say tried because there is no way to contact them. That was the first warning sign all was not as it seemed with this lot. Then more and more non - existent positions began to appear in my inbox. Don't go anywhere near this mob of scam artists if you are truly serious about finding employment!
This is a scam company and must get closed
Most of the internet job boards works that way. There are no real jobs. One portal posts a (real) job and others just copy paste the same. All they want your biodata to build their database. Do not put your full address or NI Numbers on your CV. Job Portals are quickly going out of fashion. Linkedin is the new kid in town. Employers do not have to spend money with head hunters they can look for you directly.
spam, tricked into giving personal info
I recently applied for a job in solar energy, only to find out I wasn't applying for a job. I was signing up to get spam phone calls non stop for months! This is how indeed tricks people into signing up for the "customers" stupid online ads! I am livid! I am filing a complaint with the bbb on indeed.com's practices. If you have been screwed over by indeed.com, email me at: [protected]@hotmail.com
I'm starting an anti indeed.com facebook page and i'm making it go viral. How do they stay in business? Why are they not sued daily?
I agree. How did that go?
do not use this site.
I am a nurse. Put resume on indeed.com. Got a lot of spam. Unwanted phone calls. Not a single person with job possibilities. Plus my resume including phone numbers was available to everyone. This is potentially an identity theft problem. After all someone could use my references for themself. A potential employer would call my reference with my name on a job I was not applying for.

Indeed is a scam company, we are suing this company for $500, 000 next week, beware of this scam company, they will collect your information and sell it to another who willing to pay also will not let you delete your account even if you ask to, BEWARE.
Indeed.com poses as an online employment site. In reality it's a scam site who sells your information to 3rd party vendors. I've applied to 9 jobs on the site. That same afternoon I was hit with a min. of 6-8 scam company emails in by email (inbox) and have been getting almost non-stop harassing phone calls. Don't use them. You'll wish you didn't.
Indeed.com is a scam. The site is to be avoided, especially by employers because they are scammed the most.
This is ridiculous I know an employer that is hiring on here but I can't find their vacancy
I posted jobs last year that were good for three months. Thier system was set to put $0 in the ads, but they had my credit card number. After a year, and not hearing or getting any email from them, they charged my credit card suddenly and without invoice. I stopped the payment and then, lo and behold, an invoice appears and an employee has a phone number. The employee insists and act dumb, as if it was their normal procedure. They do not care at all that the post was outdated by a year. It is not a service company, but a scam trap. Sorry to say but true. It is probably owned by the mafia.
Indeed.com I a very bad company they can not and will not back up there clicks or show any report of the clicks, two of there people have give repaort and work documents that show they blow your total dollars spend to increase there profits be careful using them.
they ignore inquiries and basically don´t care
Although the original website. indeed.com is a very effective employment search engine and I highly recommend it, in Colombia they allow Companies (especially multi-nationals) to blatantly discriminate and violate National Equal Opportunity laws. They ignore inquiries and basically don´t care. I feel the main site www.indeed.com should explain their position on this. Proof? Do a search with "edad" or "años" and other terms too long to list see what you find. 49000 links of companies openly recruiting employees based on their gender, age, marital status etc. A non.discriminatory clause should be made available and enforced. Employment discrimination is a law which is punishable by jail time here in Colombia.
this website shouldn't even be online, they are a scam job website
I use indeed.com to look for work. But lately, this website has disappointed me. I would see what company is hiring, and go and get an application. But when I go to get an application, the employer would tell me they are not hiring and never was. Like for example, I went to cvs to apply for two jobs that were listed in indeed.com, and I went to the manager to introduce myself and get a job application. But he told me that indeed.com always places them on their website telling people they are hiring, when really they are not hiring at all. This website shouldn't even be online. I feel they are a scam job website.
Indeed had me listed as an employer instead of a job seeker. So I deleted my account. Now it won't let me create a new account with any of the four email addresses that I have. It won't accept my phone number, which was associated with the account I closed. I've checked all my settings, there seems to be a bug within the Indeed website.
I subscribed for a free job advertisement; however, I have seen 2 deductions going off my account and I do not understand why I was double debited/charged for job advertisement.
May I request for the 2nd payment to reversed back to my account.

I found a $551.10 charge to my credit card on 11/29/24. I do not have a subscription with Indeed. I would like that money refunded immediately to my bank account ending in *2336

I have spoken w 3 different assesors via phone, 1 via chat. The 3 via phone were prompt at answering (short wait time) and resolved my questions and done so cordially and completely. the 3 phone assessors were from the Spanish speaking team. The 1 in the chat was In English. Mys istem forze, so i could not continue. Have not feedback there.
Is there any way you could delete all of the resumes in your system and then I will send one that is correct. I don't know how but a gmail address pops up on some and I never had that address. Thank you for your help. Winifreda Purget

I don't have the phone number anymore that is on fie with indeed. Can't not get a code to access my account. how do I access my account?
I was contacted by Croma on 11/16/23 indicating they saw my resume on Indeed. This was a scam and now my bank account as of 11/18/23 is frozen until 11/28/23. Indeed should conduct investigations of the clientele you support for hiring purposes.
Resumes rejected in minutes. Started to wonder wtf. Followed up with hard copy resumes where I had applied. Over and over it was either "We don't have a job listing on indeed". Or the location was a parking lot. Just got my first interview in over three weeks because I followed up at the Restaurant..
Indeed is [censored].
G.
we get every job , whatever we need they are doing good job.
My employer account has been disabled due to "misleading content".
I have appealed and asked what I need to change about our company's job posts to get this reactivated.
My account was opened last week for an hour to make changes but I wasn't instructed all the changes that need to be made.

I applied for a job on indeed.com. I got the job. Passed background check, etc. only to find out the pay referenced on indeed was for prior employees---needless to say I was very disappointed. I also found out I needed other items like my own tools to perform the job. This was not advertised in the job description. :(
