Hitachi Poor Product with worst service

Problems with my AC unit from the date of installation are as follows:-
o Very Less Cooling.
o Poor Airflow.
o Takes more time to cool like air cooler.
o Sometimes running (operating) whole night to reach the desired temperature but never reached after continuous operation.
o Sometimes Compressor stops working or not able to start automatically.
o Sometimes thermostat doesn’t cut even reached at (25oC) desired set temperature.
o Consumes more electricity.(Approx 25% higher than others)
o Automatically switches to OFF mode.
o Filter Clean Warning Indicator while filter is cleaned.

 Some of false commitment and fake information provided by the dealer and Mr. Ravi Sharma at the time of pre-sales enquiry are as following:-
1. Hitachi AC cools faster than OGENERAL, VOLTAS, BLUE STAR and CARRIER.
2. Faster and Maximum AIRFLOW.
3. Chills the room in a very less time.
4. No comparison with SAMSUNG, LG, GODREJ, WHIRLPOOL etc.
5. Lowest electricity Consumption.
6. No.1 in window AC’s.
7. Best after sale support.

 Some of the excuses given by dealer:-
1. Due to screeching summer it’s less effective. [While others AC is perfectly working]
2. They agreed that its flow is slow that’s why it takes time to chill the room. [Double time than others]
3. Due to double air flow design, this model has a problem, even they also discussed with company technicians. [Still they are selling and make customer fool]

I request you to help me regarding refund my amount as early as possible. After that bad experience, nobody wants to continue with HITACHI. It had not only the manufacturing defect since beginning and act & conduct of Dealer and Company officials also remained rude and irresponsible in providing service the AC Unit to me which certainly proves the deficiency of service. I could not get any resolution for the purpose I purchased moreover I involved in contacting and has thus resulted in physical and mental agony to me.

Most of the Indians are cheated by HITACHI due to weak INDIAN Govt. policies and time consuming legal support. These types of foreign companies are continues selling their poor quality products without any hesitation. Indian Govt. should banned these products and apply quality norms strictly as applicable in other countries.

Hitachi after sales service is pathetic...I bought Hitachi Ac and asked them for 2nd service under warranty, their technician spoiled the circuit of my AC and even after that it's near about a week my AC is not working...i have called their customer service more than 100 times(only 5-6 time got connected) and each time that SOP written statement- Sorry for trouble. No resolution for my problem.
Even they don't provide the address of their service center(Vasundhara Ghaziabad). This is b/c their service centers are operating under some house in residential areas which is illegal...they are also breaking the law by running the service centers in residentail areas...

Called Service center more than 200 times in last 5 days but no response, somehow searched the address of their service center and when i reached their I found that they put off their landline phone...

I will not go for any product of Hitachi in future and tell my friends to avoid this company...

Horrible experience...

Unprofessional people...

I want Hitachi to refund the cost of my AC...

Hi recently bought a Hitachi AC 1.5 ton with 5 Star rating.
The AC was installed after a delay of 3 days but did not cool properly.
We used it for some time thinking it will become OK but after about 2 months we legged a complaint to the call centre on 18/June complaint no [protected].
Promptly the service Desk executive informed us that the compakint would be solved within 48 hours. I called the desk again on 20/June as no response came from Hitachi.
They escalated the call but still no response till 22/June where I had to call again.
The last call I gave was 24/June and till the neither the SD nor anyone in the department had any clues on what is the status of the call and why the SLAbreach has happened. All they ke saying that the matter has been again sent totheNoidaservice centre. I am unabletouse the AC inthehot weather and the whole purpose orbiting the AC is getting defeated. Also I had heard very good feedback onHitachi products but after my experience withtheHitachi product I will never buy products from Hitachi again.
I would like Hitachi to take back the AC and refund my entire amount

I had purchased hitachi follow me ac, model no. RAV 023EQD on 18th april 2010 from Malhotra Enterprises which is an authorised dealer of hitachi in delhi ncr.On 30th may 2012 at 130am the ac started emitting smoke and immediately caught fire.This was disastrous as the ac burnt down completely and the fire spread to other areas of the room. Such a technical blunder from an appliance such as an ac is completely unacceptable, as, if i was asleep at that hour of the night my family (which includes my two year old daughter) and i would have died that night. We have yet to come to terms with the horror that has happened. I hope that this grave incident is looked into at the earliest and i be compensated for all the damages caused.

I purchased Hitachi AC thinking the product is good. I experienced very bad customer service. I purchased it on 4th April in Rathna Fan house in Chennai and the ac got delivered to my on 6th April 2010.
Till date (10th april 2010), the AC have not yet installed. I called immediately to the number given by the dealer for the installation, they informed it will be installed the next day on 7th. However, they haven't turned back. I called again and again the next day, the number was swtiched off and the other number was always busy. Once I got the line and shouted at them to install, they called after 5 mins and informed it will be done by next day 10th April and again it was a lie from them . I contacted Dealer to get the number, found the hitachi customer support haven't booked my order to install the AC. This is the worst service I ever experienced from a MNC company that too. Almost I have called all the known numbers in Hitachi and nothing has worked out. Please let me know how should I proceed with this. How can I file a consumer Complaint on this.

Hitachi ac not working since it was installed ..complain was filed again and again but no response for the service ..do help otherwise a step is taken against company and dealer for selling old stock and case of thugging

Hitachi Warranty Delays

I purchased A TV back in 2003. A 60" Hitachi LCD projection. My warranty lasted 5 years. It was up in December 08. During my coverage I had 3 light engines go out. The first time it took them a month to replace it. The second time it took them a few months, the third time it took them over 6 months to finally come and replace it blaming it on parts availability. I talked to the service manager at the service department and he told me they would extend my warranty for another year. I never received any documentation regarding this. Now it is almost July and my TV is going out on me again. I hope when I call they will honor this extended year that was promised to me. If not, I would like to know how to join the lawsuit.

I also have something to add now. I talked to them on the phone today and they said something about they canceled my warranty, actually they told me I canceled my warranty; which with all certainty never happened.

Hitachi Replacement of outer fan

I have Hitachi Air Conditioner by my bad luck because of its outer fan is brokan by some mishave and i search it everwhere in my city and out of cities all of your vendours in my country but i didnot find it any where so my Air conditioner is useless without its outer fan.
i feel so much sorry about your Hitachi Prouct and i really apologise not to use further in my life any Hitachi product because use of your product actuallay wastage of maney because your company is not able to provide even its samll parts.

Hitachi TV needs fixing/workers have bad customer service

I called the RCA store @ Forest Park to informed Mr. Kevin Sapp about my TV on June 2, 2009. my TV wont come on or respond to the buttons. Mr. Sapp stated he will call me back to discuss about picking the TV up. Mr. Sapp never called me back, I had to go to the store in order to get his attention. it is now June 20th 2009 & I my TV is still not fixed. he calls and harrases me about paying tghe bill, but can't get to my house to get my services met. I've been a valued customer since March 2004. Mr. Sapp store bad customer service. he doesnt know how to talk to people. I really want to pay off my stuff and be finish with it but not if its broken. it seems like no one will listen and someone needs to do something about him. all the good people got fired but they did a great job. I wont tell my friends about that store @ all.

Hitachi Two failed 1TB Hitachi Hardrives

I purchased two 1TB Hitachi hardrives # HDS721010Kla330
They arrived in bubble wrap all secure. However when opened I saw "Scotch Tape" on the drives from someones desktop? Both drives were failed on arrival. The BIOS could not even recognise them...Chunking as the armature slammed into the spindle!
NewEgg must have purchased a lot of failed "Hitachi" hardrives from some rip-off. I requested a full return and credit...
My position as an IT Manager running Trading Servers in NYC lets me know that I could have done better at a flea market if I wanted used hardrives...

Now I am loath to purchase any Hitachi Hardrives... call it a bad feeling?

Hitachi No replacement

My Camcorder(DZ-MV380A) requires a special mini DVD that was produced by Maxell. Maxell stopped producing them, and no retail outlet has any in stock. I called Hitachi Customer Service two times and get this support ... "there's nothing they can do about no supply of this special disc... it's my problem!"

Bottom Line... I have a $800(2003 Retail) Hitachi Camcorder that's useless without this special disc called "Maxell DVD-R Caddy Disc."

The only thing I can do is WARN YOU ... "HITACHI DOESN'T SUPPORT THE PARTS CRITICAL FOR THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL!" Now I must spend $$$ for a new camcorder! Thank you for Listening.

I bought an 8 Track player at a garage sale and now K-Tel doesn't sell 8 Track tapes on TV anymore! Watch out for the Smith's at 123 Main St, they stuck me with an 8 Track player I can't buy tapes for!

Seriously, why would you buy something that required specialized media in the first place?

Secondly, it's not Hitachi's fault another company stopped making the discs you need. Obviously there isn't much of a market for them or they'd still be available.

Besides, that model is 6 years old now. Everything becomes obsolete.

Hitachi Not a TV

I chose the Hitachi 17LD4200 TV because it had component connections for my DVD player. However, on delivery, it became very obvious that this is a computer monitor first, and TV functions have been added. Tragically the TV tuner they have chosen to use is, going by my experiences, a cheap and less than cheerful one. There is no auto set-up for channel tuning, and the manual set-up is confusing and slow. The picture, using a plain old analogue aerial was truly woeful. The old portable that this LCD TV was supposed to replace gave a crystal clear picture, yet the Hitachi had terrible 'snow' on all channels. It also has no auto-aspect feature, so it's 16:9 or 4:3, that's it. DVD picture was good using the component connections but there's no way it made up for the terrible TV performance. No Scart connection for SKY either.

Hitachi TV 500 Series

Hitachi 500 Series, 50-inch, rear projection Tv, not 4 years old has needed two lamp replacements, and now needs a light machine replacement. This was not a smart purchase for us, as the product is not reliable.

Hitachi said to replace the bulb on our 42V710 4-year old tv when our colors looked washed out green/yellow. Made the problem worse; more obvious. TV Repair person verified the problem was the light engine when we told him the Red, Green, Blue color only settings showed good red color, good green color, but the blue only option showed nothing but dark swirls and blotches all over the screen. Hitachi said our set was too old to support and said to contact their "appeals committee" if we didn't like it.
Check out this corporate statement from Hitachi website, "The value we intend to foster and build upon is that of a company trusted by customers and society, a company fully responsible for its actions." Thanks for those beautiful words that mean nothing to me as a customer and member of society who has been ripped off by Hit-ow-chi.
My husband's planning to take our yellowvision out back for target practice!

Hitachi Poor service

I bought a 60" hitachi tv about 1 yr ago. Started having problems with blue screen. Called service center sent a technician on may 16. Tech said it needed a part that was not in stock would take 5 - 7 business days. I called conn's 2 weeks laterstill not in. Called 2 weeeks later (Now 1 mnth) still nothing sould be ib june 24. Callled again after june 24, would be in july 11. Called back after jul 11 this time very frustrated said it would be in july 29. Today is august 4 and still not in. This time the day is next week. This is the last time i ever do business with conn's and will be sure to let friends and family know

Hitachi Pathetic service & sub standard delivery

I had purchased a window AC in the year 2004 ( Model No.Citi14, Single Blower). I had requested for gas filling of my window AC that I had bought in the year 2004 on 01 April'08.This AC was picked up for servicing by Ms.Trucul Inc which is located in Sector-10 Noida. It took me 7 days and numerous calls to get my AC back but the servicing was also not done up to the mark.This vendor was interested in earning that Rs.1800/- for gas filling & so he never checked that the gas was being leaked from some other section as well.

I was out of station for 15 days & when I came back I was shocked to see that the same AC was not working at all.I called up the vendor... Ms Trucul Inc & he bluntly refused that without the slip that they had given me previously they would not be honoring the contract of refilling the gas.I found out the slip after much deliberation & when the guy had come he told me that this was a fresh case.When I told him that this gas filling was under warranty, he told me that there would be a sum of Rs 300 charged on account of this service.I asked him by when the AC would be given back, he told that the same would come after 2 days.

The next day some person by the name of Vipin from this company called me again & told me that the gas had leaked from some other place & I have to shell out Rs.2100/- to get the same repaired & that part would come back in 7-10 days time & the AC would also be returned back to me by that time only. I tried calling up the call center of Hitachi & I was told by one Mr. Amar that " India is a free country & he cannot help me & I can go to anyone I feel i can go and complain.I tried to call upon Mr.OM Prakash at Hitachi But none is interested in resolving the problem.One person from Trucul told be again that this AC would take that much of time & I have to pay up again.Each & everyone seems to be not interested at all in the pain I am going through.

I am approaching you as I have not got any support for my ordeal that I going through & even I had to pay up such a huge amount for so called pathetic service & still the problem is not resolved.

I have purchased a 390 lit .inverter refrigerator on 08 05 2114.At the time of the dealing iwas told by the dealer that the product is
guaranteed(?) /warranted for any defect for 365 days .On 5th of May 15 the refrigerator developed a problem with its ICE making
system.I tried with all the telephone nos provided with the bill& papers that was given to me by the dealer at the time of purchase.finally i visited the dealer on 11 05 15&explained the fact, they immediately contacted to the call center of Hitachi& my complaint was registered also I told that the product has gone out of guarranty & I to 500 to the technician &if any part is replaced i have to pay the
price for that.In this process I had to pay Rs 940 for the spare & Rs 500 to the technician &Rs 1124 for A M C for one year.
I PRADEEP GHATAK from santoshpur kolkata expessing my feelings about the so called world famous HITACHI & just trying to safe those intending customer of Hitachi brand product..

I agree that HITACHI IS GOING DOWN AND DOWN. My complain has been done on 6th may 2012, reference number is [protected], and today is 21st may 2012, till date none of them got connected to me inspite of my several mails / calls / reminders. What is wrong with these poeple cannot figure out?... Can hitachi top management team call me up in the number registered with u people via reference number mentioned above...

need to complain that i have purchased a Kaze 3 star split air conditiner, but swing not working - complain number [protected]

i had purchased & gifted sony bravia LED, and hitachi split AC KAZE three star.since its installation the swing is not working.its been 5 days now that nobody has attended the complaint, my position is getting occward & i feel insulted now, pls get the swing problem sorted out ASAP

HITACHI' SERVICE IS POSSIBLY THE WORST AMONG ALL VENDORS. THEY JUST DON'T GET IT. The Service agents are always busy, they have no empathy towards their customers. It was a terrible terrible mistake buying Hitachi products.

i have bought in March 2011 split AC 1.2 tone above mentioned model from HITACHI autherised showroom and they have installed the ac (installation done by hitachi Home &life solution India) patparganj Delhi
since the whether in delhi March and April was good there was no requirment of AC so i have started using last week.
The Ac was not at all coolling the room so i made complaint on 31 st April complaint number [protected].
After repeated follow Technician came on 4th May checked and said the capacitor problem so he came next day and replaced in 5th may. no effect of cooling complaint was made again He came and checked again on 6th may he said there is requirement of Gas filling.
Again repeated follow up 7th May the gas was filled by the technician .on that night I could not able to sleep again the ac was not cooling.
. I last the Hope in HITACHI. I was having Good image on HITACHI. That is why I paid more for the AC. Now the service centre is not picking up the call and u the helpline number35324848 server is down and they are not able to register my complaint.
after repeated followup technician came on 8th may said the outder unit is to be replaced .
today is 11 th may no body attended even afterrepeated follow up . NEVER PURCHASE HITACHI. Thats my humble request to everyone otherwise if your AC gets any problem, you will go through a horror time for sure.

Best AC with Worst service .
I purchase window AC last year. Just after 1 year of warranty is passed, gas is completely leaked out of my AC. I made complaint (ref Number :- [protected]) in AC service center for last 8 days and only thing they did, they sent an engineer to check my problem and told me that it has to be towed away to repair center but even after 8 days no one has come yet. I have the record of all the email communication that I made with them but all in vain. The don't listen calls or rarely respond to your mails. NEVER PURCHASE HITACHI. Thats my humble request to everyone otherwise if your AC gets any problem, you will go through a horror time for sure.

Hitachi is worst in customer service. I donot know what kind of Japanese compnay is this, does not care about the customer. People working there are NOT bothered about customer at all. Sorry ! to say, but donot deal with this company. I had very frustrating experience in my life so far. I bought 7 split a/cs and spent more than 2 lacs INR worth but they donot give a damn. I am chasing those jokers for last 8 months for replacement of problematic a/cs (replacement was confirmed by their engineers though). I have contacted all possible people in Hitachi except their Global CEO / Hitachi Chariman. I wish he reads my mail and holds someone accountable in the company for this messed-up customer service.

Dear Sir

During Last 3 Months in My AC (Follow me Model) Water Leak From Front Panel And Due to This Wooden Tiles of My Room Will Be Damaged, Already Thrice or more than This Complain Attend by Your Poor Service Partner But it till Not Permanently Repaired and we are Continue Follow-up For Repair the same but Now they Speak 1-year Service Warranty Period is Over, You have to Pay For This ...If the Problem is Not Correct Completely in past 3 Month Same Problem Persist so its Hitachi Responsibility But They are Not Supporting Us ( Your Service Partner in Bhopal M.P is Very Poor We Suggest to Change them, They Don’t even Know How to speak With Customer ), Please Take Some Action Soon to Clear the Problem .

If it will not clear soon then i have to complain in Consumer Form which i really don’t want Or I will Circulate to All My Colleges and Friends Relative For Not To go with Hitachi products...
.I Purchased the Same from Tarang Sales, Bittan Market-Bhopal in June 21st 2009 ...Kindly take It very seriously and Do needful Soon

THE WORST, THERE SEVICE AGENTS ONLY COME AFTER THE GUARANTEE PERIOD EXPIRES !

PRODUCT LINE NOT SUITABLE FOR INDIAN SUMMERS,
REFRIGERATORS WORK ONLY IN WINTERS.
ANYONE WHO HAS BOUGHT THERE THREE DOOR RANGE WOULD AGREE.
THE COMPANY & THE PRODUCTS IN INDIA NEED A TOATAL OVERALL.

Hitachi Bad color engine

I purchased a HITACHI LCD TV (60V500) in 2004 and in 2006 I started noticing a red glow whenever the screen is blank (between commercials etc). I reported the problem to Hitachi's customer service dept and they told me to try replacing the lamp. I did so but the problem did not go away. After doing some research I now find out that the Color engine in these units are poorly ventilated which causes the unit to over-heat. I tried contacting Hitachi to have them replace the color engine which will cost approx $1, 400. They refused saying the TV is "out of warranty”. I also found out that they have been selectively replacing some color engines with refurbished ones. I think this is a problem which they can easily take care of by providing refurbished color engines and have the customers pay for the repair. Until then I am staying away from the Hitachi products and suggest that you do the same.

I totally agree with the problem, my 60V500 has the red glow, and deteriorated picture quality. I contacted Hitachi, who said I need to have a TV service company confirm the problem. Not sure how much it'll cost to have a company come out and tell me it's a color engine, which is what it is based on all I've read on the internet. Hopefully Hitachi will provide the free part and the install cost be minimal ($150). I've read that they've done this.

Hitachi Don't buy

Hitachi P50H401 Plasma - do not buy this TV. It looks like a good deal but it broke after only 4 months. Hitachi's customer service is horrible. They referred me to Best Buy repair service. A repairman has been to my house 3 times and replaced 4 parts. Hitachi still refuses to replace it. They want to continue wasting my time sending over more parts. The next part is on back order. Fact I have missed 3 days of work for this and been without my new plasma for 2 months. I will never buy another product from Hitachi and recommend you do the same.

Hitachi People beware!

I got a Hitachi DVD Cam (BX35A) for Christmas in 2006. I used it rarely-for vacations and special holidays, etc. The total hours of use is 3 hours-6 half-hour DVDs of video. I have taken very good care of it and treasured it as the fine piece of electronics that I supposed it was. The last time I tried to use it (after sitting in the cupboard for a few months, I tried to put in a new DVD disc and the door wouldn't open. Repeated tries, resets, etc. did no good. I called Hitachi and they had me send it to a repair facility-CC Bell in St. Louis MO. I included $65 just to have them look at it. After some time, CC Bell contacted me and told me it would cost between $300-400 to repair the camera. This is about the cost of NEW CAMERA! I called Hitachi customer service, went through a couple of service people before finding a manager. I told them I shot only 3 hours of video and that the camera was essentially brand new! They offered no help whatsoever. I own several still cameras, a clunky old VHS Sony, a Sharp Mini-DV, and numerous old film cameras. All of these sturdy old dinosaurs still function quite well thank you. I did some dollar calculations for the time I spent with my Hitachi and I found that I spent about $133/hour to shoot the video with their product. At $133/hour I believe that I could have gotten a professional production company to have filmed it for me. I am totally unhappy with Hitachi and their stance concerning their products. I will not be looking at Hitachi for any products that I will purchase in the future. I would advise all others to beware!

lo mismo pasa con los tv 60v500a, estos fueron fabricados con muchas fallas de ingenieros, tanto en su enfriamiento en la unidad de proyección, com en las laminas polarizadas, no se las encuentra, los representantes de hitachi deberían ser mas serios en los servicios que brindan, no solamente vender y listo, los problemas que vengan después no nos interesa, demostrado desde el 2005 hasta ahora que me toca a mi tener uno de estos tv me doy cuenta que la información que brindan a los consumidores es muy pobre, ellos se guardan la información para asi poder cobrar elevados costos de reparación, debe haber o existir alguna ley que repare este daño tan grande que ellos han causado a nivel mundial. Hitachi Light engine problem

After being told to change my lamp at a cost of $300, and this did not help I called again and was told to have a service tech look at the TV. Gee, the tv's light engine is bad, imagine this. When calling Hitachi I talked to 3 people and since the tv is 4 years old they will not help. Consumers need to band together as this is a problem with the manufacturer of the light engine since it is a problem with other rear projectors.

I had purchased 2 ton Hitachi Ace Follow Me split AC on19-05-2010 from Utility traders Chandigarh.It was the most expensive AC available in the market.My first year was satisfactory, but my nightmare started the next year after the company representive did the free service.The AC would cool my first floor bedroom like a cooler.We would sweat even with AC and two fans switched on.After complaint several technicians visited my place unable to detect any defect. Finally I was told that there was gas leakage and I got gas refilled at hefty amount.Cooling problem persisted, and now there was ice formation on front panel and unit would stop working altogether.After several complaints they again refilled the gas.By now it was October and the whole problem was put to rest.This year again the nightmare continues, now the compressor has stopped working.After detecting the problem the company technicians have disappeared altogether.I had complained on 30 may 2012 vide comp. no.[protected], send several reminders but to no avail.Suggest any action against such companies to get faulty machine replaced, although I plan to approach consumer forum.These international companies take customers for ride and waste our hard earned money.

I have Hitachi AC. The electronic circuit board of AC got damage. I called Hitachi Authorized Mechanic to solve the problem. He replaced the circuit Board with new one. He also did some soldering on circuit board. When he started the AC, the compressor of my new AC got damage due to faulty soldering on chip board. It might happened due to shortcircuit. This happened due to lack of technical knowledge to mechanic. Now who will trust on Hitachi Authorized Mechanic.

I have the same problem, blue haze on the screen. I was told the parts are not made anymore. Did anyone find out where to get a replacement part. Light Engine/Optical Engine. Its amazing how company's get away with providing defect products and the government refuses to do anything about it. Where can I find the parts.

my Hitachi refrigerator is under warranty and as mentioned in the warranty clause if the compressor is not working they will replace it and there will be no charges for gas filling but the service technicians are asking for rs-3000/-

dear sir,
i have purchased a 1 ton air conditoner from dealer in andhra pradesh at nellore.In user manual i have read that there willbe 3 free services by the company, till i didnt recieve service from company when i called them, way they behave is totally bad. and one more complaint is that due to some problems i have to change my ac room so i was calling from last month onwards till i didnt recieve any response from them. Hitachi Gas Leakage in two AC's

Hello to whomsoever it may concern,

I own two Hitachi Quadricool Window Air conditioners at my Delhi Residence since past two years. They have undergone periodic service by “Hitachi Authorized Service Personnel’s”. Last year during periodic service, there was a complaint of gas leakage in one of the two Air Conditioners and I got the problem solved by the Hitachi Authorized Personnel’s. During periodic service of both the Air conditioners this season, same problem occurred with other of two Air Conditioners. Leakage of gas in one AC can be a problem but if it is there in both the AC’s, then the problem is with the products delivered to me.

I am really surprised of this kind of problem with my both Hitachi Air Conditioners. This is a serious concern for me as I am getting far better performance from a Local AirConditioner than the Hitachi AirConditioners and will never ever recommend anyone to buy any product of Hitachi due to poor service and defective product. I would request the personnel directly from company to check the cause of the problems asap else I will take this matter to consumer court about the defective pieces.

The Authorized Personnel’s to service my Air Conditioners are Kay Dee Audiovisions, Sec-18, Noida.

I agree with this as well as all the complaints made for Hitachi. They should be asked to wind up business from India.

My issue
A 1.5 tonne was supplied to me by one Vishwa Enterprises on 12.05.2009, tried to get it installed on 15.05.2009 however the same was installed on 23.05.2009 by a totally untrained person. AC was not working since it had no Gas, also confirmed by the person who came to install the same. Supplier took the issue lightly. A complaint was made to Hitachi on 23.05.2009 and their service person arrived on 24.05.2009 certifying there is no GAS and Hitachi should replace. Supplier was unconcerned ready to fill the Gas but no replacement (wanted me to read an open book or have a second wife) as well as Hitachi, after much follow-up, a replacement was sent on 20.06.2009, to the surprise that it was a repaired AC, worse then what I got it, could not be installed/replaced. Would Hitachi be able to compensate me for the Summer I am facing since 12.05.2009 without AC. HAHAHA.

Since all efforts are lost and 40 days patience is enough, I would be sending a "BEWARE OF HITACHI MESSAGE" to minimum 25000 e-mail IDs of my Company officers across India and also see that Hitachi is banned for future supplies in my company as well as the supplier Vishwa Enterprises (A Career dealer also) for supplying sub-standard material and adopting such unethical practices. My second step is going to Consumer Form and seeks damages for the loss of 40 days.

I bought & nos. Hitachi AC's out of which 2 never worked. The service department never responds, the dealer is a fraud and the product useless. If you are looking for peace of mind, never buy HITACHI.

Hitachi Improper Installation of Hitachi Air Conditioner by company trained engineer

I have purchased a new Hitachi ACE Split AC 1.5 ton in Delhi recently.
The dealer sent an engineer to install the AC informing that this engineer is trained by the company and will do a good job.
He made a duct through my wall in order to pass pipes and wirings for the AC. But, he did not care to clean the wall where he made this duct (hole). He did not even fill the extra gap that he had made after he had done with the installation. Due to this, a lot of dust is entering my room from this gap, which is further getting into the AC and being blown inside. This is not only damaging the AC but also making it difficult for anyone to stay in that room (especially with the AC turned on, which is further blowing more dust into the room).

I am amazed at the quality of service and installation that Hitachi trains its engineers to give during installation. I doubt altogether that the engineer has never got trained at Hitachi and the dealer cheated me by sending a local engineer.

I have purchased a hitachi split ac . service personals are not very skilled.and installed outdoor unit not properly. when I complained about that later when glass window installation work was done after a week. they asked charged for re-installation.

Please note that AC of MIS dept vide s/n - K7455 is lying idle since 25 feb 2010 due to fauly compressor as conformed by your service engineer. Though your service engineer attended this machine, but till date it is not repaired.
So please arrange to repair/replace the compressor as early as possible to run the AC effectively.

First, complaints should log @ [protected], so that hitachi can track its calls.

all above are very old complaints, if you are having any issue with product or service, you must log your call first at helpline no., second do get your complaint/service attended by authorized service centre people. (check id card with technician).

mostly it has been noticed customer ask service only in 1yr warranty period, after this all taking care of AC remain fun only.

AC is also a machine, which needs regular service like your bikes and cars. So do regularly get your AC services atleast twice in a year thru authorized service centre only by logging call at helpline no. only.

Also you can opt AMC in case you have 2 or more ac's, call helpline to understand scope of AMC's.

I fully agree. HITACHI is just a name and they do not live up to their brand. Last week I purchased Hitachi AC form e-zone, Goregaon, Mumbai and I was told that installation charges would be Rs 1500/-, while the Hitachi fellow asked for Rs 3500/-, which was exhorbitant. Later I got it personally installed for Rs 1500/- only, but Hitachi people forced me to shell out Rs 1000/- to fill the Warranty form. But after inspection by Hitachi engineer, and his confirmation about proper insatllation, aound 4 glasses of water came out of the inner unit once it was Stopped. Though it was running very well since 2-3 days before this. It seems that these service providers do not have qualified engineers and after sales service is POOR.

The moral of the story is STAY AWAY FROM HITACHI ACs.

I don't think it would matter which company made the equipment, by the sounds of it you have not had propper trained engineers to fit it. If the systems leak refrigerant or are not installed correctly regardless of manufacturer they will break down very quickly. Obviously the first name to blame is the one on the equipment, Hitachi, Toshiba, Mitsubishi etc. Unfortunatly anyone can call themselves an A/C engineer with no qualifications. Fortunatly in the UK this has changed and manufacturers are offering 5 years warranty as standard.

Hitachi Motorized stand falling apart!

My $2000.00 television is literally falling apart. I purchased the extended warranty to cover any problems. The manager in the Reynoldsburg store told me she was not going to do anything for me. This store ripped me off for $2300.00. The product is decapitated and the warranty clearly states the store would fix or replace. I am so frustrated. I guess I have to go through the hassle of small claims court. I have tried to call customer service but no one can give me any answers. I knew I should have went through Best Buy. They have better prices anyway.

Hitachi Poor product durability!

I live in Chennai Annanagar and I bought Hitachi AC just 2 years back, as my friends recommended it. Just after 2 months we noticed that there was a gas leak and the remote also stopped working. I could not believe such an expensive product can start giving problems in just 2 months.

I contacted the service center. They asked me take AMC, but I thought a good product should not require AMC. The service person came to house and tried to correct the problem but he could not complete it. He brought few more technical persons and they decided to take the AC back to their office for repair. It looks like the Chennai Hitachi technicians do not have enough skill/knowledge to solve such problems. For every visit they change around 250 rupees, though the product failed just in 2 months. The replacement remote was working functionally but it had a damaged LCD panel.

It was really shock to me to see such poor service for an expensive product.

Now my AC fails almost every 3 months, the service person comes to my house for repair and collects fees for his visit. I don't understand whether they really solve the problem completely or introduce new problems in my AC every time they repair.

They take close to 4 to 5 days to repair (I wonder why they should take such a long time. If they really believe that their product is good, they can replace the faulty component by a new one quickly).

I don't know why Hitachi is not taking any steps to improve their service network. Now, I plan to sell off and buy a better AC from other brands (definitely not from Hitachi).

My order #133121 placed today, Nov. 7 for 1 Hitachi Massager and 1 Hummingbird and was shown and charged as 2 Hummingbirds. I should only be charged as paid for by my credit card for the 1 Hitachi Massager and 1 Hummingbird., so request the charge be adjusted as such and the charge less.

Hitachi Subquality product and service

We have a Hitachi model 50v500a television and a couple of weeks ago the color went to red and green. We tried to adjust the color, reset the color, went to the service menu and reset the set... all to no avail. Now we are looking at a set that looks as if it was photographed with a heat sensor. The service manual gave us no clues. There is no way we should be having this much trouble with a set that we spent almost 3000.00 on when we bought it.The service department has been no help. We have never been treated so poorly for what should have been a quality product. I have a 100.00 tv in my bedroom that I bought 15 years ago and it still runs. I have tried to contact Hitachi repeatedly with no response except go to a service center. We know that this will amount to 100's of dollars for them to replace parts that should have not failed in this short of time. Go to Avsforum.com and see how this product is being slammed. I am surprised that this has not resulted in a class action suit about light engines.
