lack of hotels
I submitted my form to get two nights free hotel stay due to my Ambit Energy service. There are tons of little details where Grand Incentives tries to catch you. I did all the paperwork correctly and they just didn't have any hotels available 45 days in advance for THREE locations. It also takes 15 minutes to wait on line for a surly CSR. Avoid this place and Ambit!

What a joke! I was warned about this company prior to doing business. They are such scam artists and know exactly what they are doing. It makes it sound like you have won something wonderful, when it all gets down to it, they are never planning to give you what they promised. We attended a dumb seminar on cooking pots and pans and were promised a trip. I submitted EVERYTHING including a $99.90 processing fee on time, to go on this trip. They returned my paper work saying that my trip was now VOID because of things that were filled in correctly. This is a bunch of ###, and I will make sure everyone does not use this company. They SUCK! Very rude customer service people, and a bunch of idiots! BS! BS! BS!
misleading info
I had spoken to a representative before beginning the process and was assured that theyre were no restrictions or hidden fees and costs to their free travel deal. I was initially asked to pay $35 per person ($70) to process the tickets. I paid, but was asked to pay another $50 to process the next step. At this point I asked for my money back, was told I would receive a check within 90 days, and of course this never happened.

free airfare
Where free is never free and you are qualified means nothing! We were invited to attend Global Network Travel's travel club presentation and we were "scheduled to receive two round trip airfares". We decided the cost was outrageous and the plan too restrictive to the last minute travel that we usually schedule. When we registered online for the two round...

I tried to be wary of a scam even researching Global Discovery Vacatins that offered me the free airline tickets for viewing the presentation. Unfortunately, I did not research the names of the several other companies involved...
After sending my $35.00 per person to Celebrity Productions, I received a registration form. I was very careful to follow the terms and conditions of the promotional vacation to the letter, I completed my registration form and sent it certified mail to Grand Incentives, Inc. prior to the deadline on 1/19/10. Shortly thereafter, I received a letter dated 1/21/10 stating that my registration form was void because I did not complete the registration form completely. When I called to inquire what was missing, they stated that I did not include my evening telephone number, only my daytime. I explained that it is my cell phone and works for both but I was told by Carole that the form was incomplete and void. When I asked for my money back, she said that I had to contact Celebrity Productions because Grand Incentives does not have my money.
I am thrilled that this scam ended before I tried to work through their Planning form and that I've only lost $70 and about 2 hours.
AVOID THIS PROGRAM!

non recepit of airline vouchers
Sat through 90 minute presentation and was promised 2 free gifts which you could choose from. I choose 2 free roundtrip airline tickets. I sent the completed paperwork in on 10/8/09 and have not yet received the gifts. The other was for gas vochers. $100 worth of free gas. No phone number on the paperwork only an address which I have sent my request in several times and no response.
Read full review of Grand Incentives and 2 commentsfree weekend
I joined a travel club and received a free weekend to a location of my choice (there were 19 locations in the US, and 6 outside the US). After mailing in my initial request, along with my personal information and a $50 "reservation fee", I eventually received (in 6 weeks) a form letter stating my arrival days had to fall between Sun. & Wed. So, I changed the form and sent it back in. 6 weeks later, I received another form saying I had to choose 3 different locations. So, I changed that and sent it back in. In another 6 weeks I received my hotel confirmation. I tried to change it and they said I would owe them another $50. The forms were very misleading and a location I'd chosen wasn't available at all. So, after 6 months of trying to make arrangements (through snail mail) for a free weekend, I finally said forget it! I am so beaten down and aggravated, and have invested so much time into this "free" weekend, I'm giving up! Grand Incentives wins! I'm over it. And, they don't have a toll-free # so you have to call their regular phone line in Sarasota. That's not right either. You can run out of juice on your cell phone. And, if you don't have free long distance on your home phone, your phone call can get expensive. It's really not worth the trouble to try and set up a "free" weekend. Grand Incentives should make it much easier for the consumer--they don't.

Recieved a Free Vaction Vocher from the Blood Center of South Florida for donating & saw that they had places in the vacation spot I had planned, Sedona Az . I had to submit 3 choices & give a $50 deposit which I did in early June & it was shortly after I sent things out was when I 1st saw this & read about all the nightmares & hope I wouldn't have 1, I did . In early August, I got a letter from them saying that " None of my choices were available " ( What a shock ) so I tried to call to get my deposit back, I did read about nightmares people were having just to get them, saying " If you get them on the phone, then your the luckiest person alive " & that they called & were put on hold & waited & waited & waited & gave up & for those who did get through, spent more money calling them since it was a long distance call then the deposit they were seeking to get back, I waited 5 mins & wasn't going to play that game, so I sent a letter back saying since my vacation dance card was now filled & they have no other destinations that accomodate my vacation schedule & the vocher would be expired by then, I would like my $50 dollars back please & it's been 3 months almost & nothing & i'm sure if I try something again, i'll get a HUGE RUNAROUND or simply be ignored by them like they are doing now by not sending me my $50 back . This company is a TOTAL FRAUD & THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE SHOULD BE IMPRISONED FOR EMBEZZALMENT, because that is what they are doing here & I did report them to the Blood Center about disassociating them with these CROOKS as soom as possible so they don't lose blood donors
Do not waste your time and money. This is a fraudulent company. Before sending them $50 X 2, registration fee for a promised free airfare, take a look at the rules and conditions. You will realize that there is not a single week during your eligibility time to travel. All weeks fall before or after a holiday. It is all calculated! They will never return your money back either. They have many complains on BB. I am not sure why this company is still open and continue ripping off people.
I have been waiting on a refund since February for $70. $50 for a two night stay with for my wife and I and $10 each for my two children. This was for a trip I won supposedly for wasting three hours looking at the raibow vaccum. I havecalled six times so far, and have been given the run around. I have been disconnected and told my refund was in urgent status. To no avail, still no refund. I would like to know how we can all get to get together and file a suit/complaint.
We sent in our requested 3 places and dates for travel. We were told it didn't have to be on certain dates for the trip, now they are "unable to process our date request" because it isn't on a sunday through wednesday. We have called many times trying to get someone on the phone so we can just get our refund, but the line either has a busy signal or you are put on hold and no one answers. I was able to leave a message but no one has called back! Terrible company!
If you are unfortunate to have any dealings with this company please keep a record of the days and times that you call. I requested a refund on January 16, 2017 and as of May 15, 2017 they have not mailed the check. I have called 5 times and each time I am told that the check will be mailed at the end of the week. It takes someone 30 minutes to answer the phone. Don't believe anything that they say because they are complete rip offs.
Stay away from these folks! Our electric company offered a free gift- which was a 3 day 2 night vacation from Grand Incentives. We filled out the form, sent the $50 deposit, set our vacation date; this week we get a letter stating our vacation would only be good Sun-Wed. Never said that on the form we filled out. So we called them, were put on hold for about 30 min all together, on our cell phone minutes ! We agreed to change our date to a Sun & Mon. Finally, they tell us no we can't do that, we have to start all over, that means another 45 day advance notice. We asked for our deposit back. It is less hassel to just pay for the 2 nights.
We dealt with these people a few yrs ago after a vacuum cleaner demo; same problem, except in order to get our vacation days we asked for, they said we had to see another time share! Shame on us for thinking the company might have improved. Our friends who booked with us, gave up trying to get their deposit back. We held on the phone line until we finally were able to request our $50 deposit back, luckily we did get ours. Wonder how many folks gave up & gave the company $50 like our friends!
I have received multiple forms to submit for a vacation with air fare. After sataifying all requirements including paying requested fees each time I have received notice that the locations and times I requested are not available. I had paid $200 for a vacation from Celebrity Productions. I have been going through this cycle of submitting request and after months having the request rejected with claim of unavailable. companies in this business should be shut down and made illegal. The whole business is based on misleading the clients.
Thank you for the info! I will not even try to use this voucher now. They call center is ridiculous. I waited 45 mins for them to tell me to mail in the forms AND MONEY! Nope not this girl!
I have a voucher but after reading all these reviews I am scared to make a reservation and send in a deposit. Is there anyone that has had a good experience?my voucher expires 12/13
Good that I ended this mess. Bye, GrandIncentives, forever, wait to see more complaints on you from other customers.
bogus/redtape/ridiculous
This company lures you into presentations. Anything from Viewing timeshares/vacation properties to vacuum cleaners.
Pure and simple...beware! They have impossible rules/guidelines to follow when booking your vacations and absolutely insane wait times when calling with any question. Over 20 minutes most of the time. We had 2 different offers from them and they had every possible excuse for not booking our vacations and kept returning our forms and check over and over again until we finally just gave up! Read all the small print and even then... you probably won't get anything for your time and trouble.
I wish they would get investigated for fraud. THEY SHOULD. As a business owner, I have also been approached by them to use them for advertising my company. NO WAY.

I'm not sure you will remember us but we were the last and only couple who attended your presentation on February 28th, 2008 at the Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs. My complaint is concerning the accommodations we were given when taking our "FREE" 2 night 3 day vacation for watching a Rainbow vacuum cleaner Demo. We were placed in a hotel in Daytone Beach called Castaways that was in the middle of a row of hotels that were boarded up. This place was a DUMP! I went to Daytona with mid level expectations as far as the place they would put us in (something like a Days Inn maybe). Boy was that a joke. This place looked like it was lifted from the Ghetto and placed on the beach. Homemade bed frames, mold in the shower, looked like vomit in the bottom of the trash can, just plain NASTY! We were offer a free upgrade when we arrived at the check in facility 6 miles from this dump, if we sat through a 1.5 hour time share spill. I had drove 8 hrs with my family and was in no mood for something I had no interest in. We were told the hotel was not scary by the lady at the check in facility. That was a plain Lie. We tried to contact her the remainder of the time there, but we only had 2 full days to enjoy ourselves so we didn't waste our time going back to the office. We went down the street and checked into another hotel for our trip as we were afraid we would catch a disease if we stayed at Castaways. Although I don't directly blame the rainbow vacuum cleaner company, they don't seem to care who they associate themselves with. We had to give a $50 dollar deposit which is supposed to be refunded after our stay. That remains to be seen. I will run from anything that has Grand Incentives name on it in the future and would advise everyone else to do the same.
Is Grand Incentives now called Getaway USA? The terms and conditions seem the same. That's who Rainbow is using now. I can't find much information on Getaway.
This company is bogus. I've filed a complaint with the FL attorney general and with our US attorney general. I've gotten the run around so many times trying to get a refund back from our deposit. After 3x of requesting and being denied because our "dates" were not available, I want a refund. THIS IS INSANE. Stay far away from these.
I searched Grand Incentives after activating my voucher and BEFORE I sent the $50.00 and I have not seen any positive feedback at all, looks like everyone was scammed or disappointed, ironically, as I reached up to my desk, the paperwork for the last scam I DID fall for, called Certs Inc., which i activated two years ago today and still have not received a vacation or my $54.75, another scam, I had received that voucher from Rainbow Vacuum, and the Grand Incentives from a Timeshare presentation, will I ever learn? I think i just did! Thanks for the advice!
Thanks for taking the time to write this. I, too received this "free" Grand Incentives travel voucher and filled out info on-line. I got this after sitting through a demonstration from a cookware salesman who tried to sell us outrageously expensive pots and pans! I feel hesitant about the fact you don't know your hotel or destination BEFORE you send in the $50 deposit! They can put you anywhere! That's just shady to me. After hearing these comments, I'm keeping my money and planning my own vacation!
I would definitely hold Rainbow responsible. They know what they're doing. They are using Worldwide Travel Center now. Same kind of scam. Also, for listening to an obnoxious, extremely long demonstration for an outrageously expensive vacuum cleaner is worth the gift as advertised. They should consider it in their advertising budget.
I'm sorry, but if it sounds too good to be true, it's too good to be true. A free vacation for watching a demonstration? I would be surprised if it turned out to be a nice place to stay. Never take a free vacation.
re: refundable room deposit
I purchased a "Your Getaway" vacation from Grand Incentives in 2/2008. I followed the details of participation for this vacation. Time was of essence for me. On 4/29/2008, I submitted in writing a cancellation notice requesting my refund for room deposit. I have contacted Grand Incentives on numerous dates questioning when I was going to receive my refund. I have yet to see my refund returned as of 8/8/2008.

I received Great Gateway’s free cruise certificate after listening to the timeshare representation from “Elite Gateways”. I mailed in the attached form on 07/27/07, and received my first registration letter called “cruise registration validation form”. Month later I received “pick your cruise form”, after another month I received “7 night cruise registration form”, after that “7 days cruise planning form” asking me to choose TWO EXACT DEPARTURE DATES 90 DAYS IN ADVANCE, ONE MONTH APART, ONLY THROUGH FEBRUARY 29. By the time we finished with never ending mail-in forms, I only had two choices of days within all these restrictions. And (what a surprise!) another letter says that they have no availability for these dates along with advertisement of another cruise for regular price. I called asking what proof do they have since almost all cruise lines were widely available for these dates especially so many days in advance. Great Gateways Rep says that they do not have any proof but only have 4 free (!) allotments per cruise. Let see, all the people at work and my neighbors received this invitation for free cruise, and when we were at the time share representation they were booked every day, every couple of hours with auditoriums full of people. Thousands and thousands of people got these “free cruises” which they unquestionably could not fulfill since there are only 4 allotments per cruise. This is a false advertisement and scam.
I also received Grand Incentives ” $50 gas rebate voucher after listening to the timeshare representation from “Elite Gateways”. I mailed in the attached form on 07/27/07. I mailed in my first $10 rebate form (I am not allowed to have more than $10 rebate in one month period). After 6-8 week period (as it is stated on the terms and conditions) passed I called and was advised that they are understaffed and hiring more people, next month call - same problem, in beginning of December they said not to worry “thousand checks are being mailed out” and I definitely will receive main before New Year. Today after 5 month waiting I called again and was advised that they are not sure when I will receive it. Please keep in mind I only allowed to receive next $10 after the previous one was processed and rebate voucher is good for one year only. Check out unsatisfactory report from BBB at: http://westflorida.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=47&bbb=0653&firm=90017298
Than I read about this kind of scam in Dep of Agriculture Warnings. Please everyone in the same situation post your reviews everywhere on board so other people would not go through that too.
I CAN NOT EVEN IMAGINE HOW PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY BOUGHT A TIMESHARE ON PRESENTATION GOT RIPPED OFF.
I had a trip scheduled through this company and due to the major issues going on in EWR airport our flight was delayed 6 hours and canceled. United was good enough to make the process of getting a refund easy but not this company. They denied us our money when we weren't able to travel due to conditions outside of our control.
I requested a refund after reading all of the negative comments but then I decided to go ahead and see what happens. I called to rebook the itinerary and I find out my certificate was cancelled. I spoke with a supervisor by the name of Jeff who informed me that he had to listen to the phone call. Forfeiture come only with confirmed reservations.
I have not received any response regarding my certificate That I've paid for please contact me ASAP
I have contacted you business on numerous occasions with no response.
I was given a free trip by Ambite Engergy in March 2017 I followed everything they said to do and on june 13 2017 I sent in my deposite of 50.00 and now its oct and no comfrimation from them at all so please just send my money back are fraudes...thank you nancy rigsby 1413 lincoln street portsmouth ohio 45662...
Was offered this vacation voucher, tried to pay deposit online but now I have to mail it in!? And my vacation plans are now no longer options because I've tried for days to get someone on the phone. When I finally get a rep, 45 minutes after being on hold. She was mean, rude, and just plain useless as far as providing any info. Do NOT offer this incentive to your employees! They will HATE you for it!
I received an offer today in the mail for a free 7 Day Norwegian Cruise Line cruise with the requirement to attend a briefing at King's Creek Plantation. Thank you very much for providing enough information for me to toss this into the circular file. If it sounds too good to be true...
TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! Made a reservation over a month ago as I call to confirm everything was ago a month before my trip, I was told the dates I selected were never available!
Grand Incentive is a fraud I sent a form stating a Now Boarding free air Flight for two ..I received it on April 24th 2014. I had until July 1, 2014 to fill it out and mail it in. I did all above but, to my surprise I received a letter stated : /Dated August 12, 2014 Thanks you for sending your registration /Planning Form, however wee are unable to accept it for the following reason - your certificate /registration form was not sent via certified mail. I was upset and call to let them know it didnot state to send it via certified mail . I talked to a Carol she was very rude and nasty and said she would send another form but if I did not do what it say this time it would be void regardless. I did received another form and has been trying to contact them to change form Nom Boarding to a two week Resort weeks . I cannot get in touch wit anyone. I have been trying for two weeks.Do anyone have the number to contact direct ..This is the # I have [protected]/ [protected]. I have been put on hold for the last 2 weeks. This is a JOKE.
Is anyone been in play with Elite Getaways offering vouchers at the total cost if $215.00 which can offer up to 20 nights freee of charge?
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Josh

Yep, this company is a scam... they make people believe they are great and the fabulous vacations plans they offer, but after researching the company, I see there are so many disgruntled customers that they won't stay in business for very long, unless they change their name... Oh WAIT! That is was happened, they used to be another company and after several complaints, they changed their name. Very clever... I will make sure everybody that researches this company gets my comments about the scam they are running.
