Fred Loya Insurance I called to cancel and they give you a hard time

I called on a Friday for cancellation, because they gave me one quote and then two weeks later decide to up the quote without even talking to me about it, I did tell them on Friday why I was cancelling and of course they could try to get me a better quote, never heard from them again so on Monday I called again, sent them the papers they needed to cancel policy. Yet they can not just yet refund me my money to my account because now they are asking for another piece of paper that I was not told about at the beginning of the conversation and on top of that they are going to deduct me the one day they are covering, which my policy covers from the 14th of one month to the other, so I should not be deducted since I am still covered from what I've paid on January. Its like pulling teeth from a cow, You give your customers a hard time for every little thing, of course except when your buy into your policies! I had heard a lot of people complain about your services but I thought I'd give you the benefit of the dought! Now I'm sorry I didn't take other peoples advice! Now I'll be spreading the word too, to other customers! Thank you for such a hard time Mr. Loya

Yes, as i am currently working for this co. the managers that train us are sitting behind us all the time. as a matter of fact we have no privacy. they are hearing all of our converstions even if we are not on the phone and constantly harrasing us to call the customers like 12x! customers even call mad like "leave us alone"! we are train to call all of our quote or shall i say to harrass them and we get yelled at if we don't get them or just some minor thing. This co. will work you like a slave, you cannot do overtime & want you to do double work for less then 37hrs a wk. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CO.!

Fred Loya Insurance unauthorized charges

Unauthorized charges. I canceled the insurance in December, and my account was drafted again on Dec. 30th, putting in overdraft status. These people have no idea what customer service is.

on may 12, 2009 in went in to get cheaper car insurance, i had not cancel my policy with state farm, i was going to do this after i made my car payment.when i took the binder too the lien holder he would not except the insurance. i went back to fred loya insurance to cancel the policy since i only had it for a little over and hour. they cancel the policy and the transaction of $141.00 debit from my account fax information to bank . debiting the money back into my account . on may 13, 2009 checking my account i found that fred loya had gone in and took the same $141.00 on a cancel policy. now haven stolen my money and my account is $ 141.00 short and he tell me that it going to take up to 30 days to get my money back .why should he be allowed to draw interest on my money for 30 day.if i would to this to some one i would go to jail.

I currently work for this company and believe me get a lot of customers with the same thing. They cancel there insurance and for some reason this company will still withdraw money once you give them your bank info. I would not sign up for autopay for this horrendous ins co. -stay away if possible! They will make changes and feel like they can do whatever they want/treat customers and employees like garbage..yet they don't realize that it is, because of the CUSTOMERS that there will be business. And good loyal hardworking employees they will be losing. This co. likes to hire young people so they can BOSS THEM AROUND. I thank God i don't work for men, but for God. Soon this company is going to go down-they themselves are destroying themselves.

Fred Loya insurance did the same thing to me. They drafted my account twice for my auto insurance payment that put me at an overdraft. I called them and they wanted to see bank statements and all transactions and balances before they said they would refund me. Then they said it would take a week to get my money back and they couldn't do anything about the overdraft fee because it was the systems fault not theirs. All their customer service agents were rude and were not very helpful. My bank felt sorry for me and gave me their number for car insurance.

I agree with you completely. We cancelled our policy and low and behold a fee of 78.00 was kept from our refund. First, the girl at the office did not tell us of a cancellation fee/policy fee and next they cannot tell us how much will be refunded until 15 days. Now my dad is out 100+ dollars for coverage of only 48 hours! We are definitely filing a complaint with the DOI of Texas! Everyone should do the same to keep Fred Loya from ripping anyone else off! Let's get rid of this scam insurance company. ALso, please check if your so called "agent" actually has a license to bind coverage. They are not even licensed agents! What a scam!

I understand that this is not retail but it does not take 30 days for a payment that was drafted out of an accout to be put back. I have their insurance and i feel like they are scammers and they lie to their customers to get them to sign up. I have had several issues already with them within a 30+ day span. This is a rediculous business and they need to be put to the dust for good. It is never okay with the way the economy is right now to take and hold someones money when they cancel a policy. Now for 3-5 days is tolerable but not for 30 days with no exact date given. THIS IS A BS COMPANY AND THEY NEED TO BE SUED IF ANYONE.

Ok you purchased the policy of course the money is gonna go thru, there is a process that you have to go thru when you cancel a policy. This is not retail where you can just buy something and take it back cause it did not fit and get a full refund. It does not matter if you had it for 1 day or 1 month, it works that way with almost any company. If you would have had a claim when you left the office you sure would not have had a problem filing a claim and letting them pay.

Fred Loya Insurance - exclusions on file

I had car insurance w/Fred Loya for 2 yrs, I needed to add a new car and drop the old car. The agent was rude/arrogant, he stated that I needed to sign a exclusion form. The exclusion form would exclude my son and ex-husband from driving my car. I've been divorced for 11 yrs. why would I have to sign a exclusion form for him. My ex-husband and son doesn't...

Fred Loya Insurance not a responsible company

I was involved in a car accident. The person that caused the accident was insured by Fred Loya. He has admitted fault in the accident. They are also admitting liability but refusing to pay for the full amount of damage to my vehicle. They are stating that because I lost control of my car that they will only pay for 80% of the damage. I find this to be insane. If I was at fault I would pay the damages.

Fred Loya Insurance lied to over and over again

I have had this insurance for only a little over 30 days and boy have i had major issues. My husband & i went down and got insurance through these idots and no one there speaks or understands good english. I have been drafted before my due date which has made me late with my rent and now i have a late fee for that. I then called the 800 number for the main office and all i heard was i do apologige but we signed for it to come out on that date. the papers that i have and from my knowledge state that the pmnt is to be drafted on the 11th of each month. Once i asked for a supervisor i was placed on hold for forever i assume " waiting for me to hang up". When the supervisor came on the line i explained the problem and was interrupted about 5 times before i could explain the entire situation. She then told me that they do it 5 days before to ensure that they get their money. BS lady, i have never known a company to do such underhanded business like this one. If u tell them the due date is 1 day then that is when you need to take it out. I have late fees for other things due to this issue and have been given the BS excuses too many times to keep calling. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. This is not the end of the stories that i have to tell but i wont waste that much time talking about this peice of s*** for a company. They lie, canive, and are all for themselves.

Fred Loya Insurance unscrupulous policies

Don't ever go with Fred Loya insurance.

We were charged twice in two weeks for our first month of insurance. This wasn't too bad except that we were never told it would happen.

So when we decide that we'd rather just cancel our policy after having to deal with the atrocious customer help it turns out they won't even be mailing the check for our prorated payments until 30 days from the day we canceled.

They took out 330 dollars, then 2 weeks later another 330 dollars for our 3 vehicles. We canceled our policy and had to pay out another 345 for an honest insurance dealer to get our policy started with them. I've had to pay over a thousand dollars this month for insurance thanks to Fred Flintstone Insurance. Oh, and to add insult to injury they're charging us 70 dollars to just cancel our policy.

I hope Fred Loya burns in hell.

Fred Loya Insurance denied claim

I was hit by a customer with Fred Loya insurance. The insurance card said it expires on 4/26/2010 and he hit me on 4/26/10. The police officer that took the report, and the young man that hit me all thought the insurance was still valid. Today (4/27/10) I get a call from the Fred Loya insurance adjuster who says the claim is denied because the coverage ended on 12:01 am on 4/26/10. This after he had already paid for two more months of insurance to ensure he didn't have a laps of coverage!

The claims department manager, Osvaldor Chavez, proudly told me that they deny 14, 000 claims a month for reasons ranging from expired policies, invalid drivers, and such. They were shameless in the denial. What insurance company does that in this day and age? My only other recourse is to complain to the BBB and the Attorney General's office and letting people know on websites like this.

I guess "Yankees" you didn't read the entire complaint. I clearly mention that he did pay for and the company accepted payment of insurance on 4/26/10. But Fred Loya Insurance plays with accounting like 3-Card-Monte. They say that his payment doesn't count for 4/26/10 it counts for 4/27/10. Sorry but that's deceptive.

Read all the complaints about Fred Loya Insurance, they are all over the internet. According to the Dallas Morning News, Fred Loya Insurance is being investigated by the Texas Department of Insurance because he is one of the companies with the most complaints. Ask the kid that hit you to gather all the proof he has about having paid the policy for another two months and he should call the Department of Insurance and make them pay and if he doesn't sue him. If he is an undocumented person, he should not be afraid to call The Department of Insurance They are not La Migra and will not Deport him. His money is worth as much as your or mine and if he paid for his insurance, his insurance should pay for the damages he caused. You know, I bet you a $100.00 he did pay for his insurance. Call Your Department of Insurance, tell the guy that hit you to call them!

If the policy expires at 12:01 AM there is no coverage, plain and simple. You should be complaining about the guy that did not pay his bill not the Insurance Company.

Fred Loya Insurance refuses to pay my truck was stolen

My 16 yr old took my truck with out permission and totalled it. My husband at the the time didn't file charges at the time. He is my son's stepfather I did press charges against my son and he was taken to jail. Now Fred Loya says because I made a delay in filling theft charges against my son, they are not going to pay!

I've been with this company for many years now! My son even addmitted it!I intend to fight this injustice and will never recommend Fred Loya Insurance to anybody anymore. They should be ashamed of them selfs!

You are the worst and dumbest piece of [censor] I have come across in my 40 something years. You go and buy car insurance from Fred Loya, that proves my point of you being the dumbest. You file charges against your own son just to get your truck paid, come to think about it you are the dumbest crook I have ever come across. Now I am the one that posts all the info on how to try to make this company pay their insured, by making a complaint with their states department of insurance. I tell people that Fred Loya is now being investigated by the Texas Department of Insurance for all the complaints he has with them, but I sure hope you don't get a penny out of them, you worthless, evil piece of [censor]. How else could a child produced and raised by such a [censor] could have turned out?

none123435,

Come to reality your truck was not sstolen your son took it. Seems to be that that your son was a minor that is not to drive without your consent. And if keys are left for his reach then that is permissive use. you allowed him and anybody else to take your vehicle. by pressing charges, and then claim gets paid, you drop charges. yeah that is the typical trick. Instead of trying to want for the company to pay for your own mistakes you need to teach your son some manners into not taking what is not his. the world does not evolve only around you.

Fred Loya Insurance rental car coverage

Their Insured hit me on 02/28/10. After 4 weeks, they could not get their insured to call them back. I, ME, had to track their insured down, go to his house and get him to call and admit fault. THEN...when my car is finally done at the body shop (HIGHLY recommed Custom Car Crafters in Austin TX((Ask for Charly)) I get a call at noon. They are closed on weekends and today is Friday. I can't leave work and then the rental car company calls. Mike, the insurance company won't cover the car past today. WHAT? i can't get there til after 8 PM.
I call Fred Loya Insurance and the claims adjuster does not have the power to add the additional 2 days. He transfers me to the "Supervisor" Mr. Munoz. Sorry Mike, we won't cover the car if you can't get it back today, YOU PAY FOR IT. It is now 5:45 P.M. on Friday. WTF?
FRED LOYA INSURANCE COMAPNY IS CHEAP AND HAS NOW BOUGHT THEMSELVES A LAWSUIT OVER 58.00 FREAKIN DOLLARS. Thanks for letting me vent!

Fred Loya Insurance unprofessional at best

Over the last 24 Hours, I have recieved OVER 15 phone calls from a Houston-based Fred Loya office. Even thought my voicemail CLEARLY states that they have reached MAGGIE, they continue to leave messages for a Mr. Arayllo (or something). I have told 3 separate employees to stop calling me, that Mr. Arayllo obviously was mistaken on his phone number, and still the phone calls keep comming.
What concerned me the most was that went I said I would be making a formal complaint, the guy on the phone seem as though it was par-for-the-course.
Aparently complaints are part of Fred Loya's day-to-day.

Some idiot gave your phone number as his, but they should be able to put you on a do-not-call list.

There seems to be many [censor]s at work here.

Next time they call, tell them you would like to hear all about what they have to offer and then put the phone down.

I guarantee no one will be on the line in an hour when you pick it up.

Even better, if you have an ederly family member with dimensia, put them on the phone and let them talk to the rep. I guarantee they won't call again!

Fred Loya Insurance bad, unprofessional, unethical services and handling of customers

Several people have posted here saying that you should avoid having anything to do with this piece of crap Fred Loya. I wish I could, but I was rear ended in a multi car pile up by a Fred Loya insured. Nobody including my insurance company had ever heard of them and they are located in El Paso. Just my luck, no fault of mine, but have to deal with this filth to even cover my deductible for the damage. They stall and delay for everything even though I provided info on every driver and the details. In fact they encourage you to sue them!

Good luck if you have insurance, I doubt anyone who even googles fred loya, would ever buy anything from them. Hard to believe, but, they are still in business. I will complain once my claim is paid off or if it is delayed for too long.

I think they specialize in 'insuring' illegal immigrants with minimum required by the state and count on you try to sue them to get any claims. just horrible piece of crap these folks are.

hello, im currently an employee at fred loya. i feel your pain. i would like to say that not all of us at fred loya are horrible people. the problem is rooted from the up moast manegment and it carrys on to the office managers witch perty much force us to be unplesent. it is a horrible company to work for. the managment is uneducated and uprofesional. they create a hostile work enviorment and they think the own the employees. my theory is that they focus on employing young people who are uneducated on their rights with the intention of molding us to their likings, and in addition a good amount of employees have language barriers witch i believe they hire because they know it will be that much harder for these employes to complain.

Fred Loya Insurance fires honest dealer

Today I got fired from Fred loya because I told the truth about my manager taking money from the deposit. The ones who lied and acted like they didn't know n e thing are still working for the company and they told me that firing me was in the best interest of the company, ha if they only knew that those people lied to them TWICE! Anyone who is insured by Fred loya please DO NOT get into a car accident because they will find any excuse not to cover your claim! RUN! I think this is a very unfair company and they don't care about their customers nor employees!

Fred Loya Insurance scammers

My car, that i owned for less that a year, was very badly damagd in a hail storm back in september and the within a few days I went in to their office to file a claim. Quickly the trouble started. Yes they took pictures of my car and promptly wrote a check but then here's the kicker, every body shop (5 of them)said that the check was less than a half of what it would take to repair my vehicle and that actually my vehicle should have been deemed "a total loss".

Two and a half weeks of trying to no avail to get a hold of the person who was supposed to be in charge of writing me a second check and then a five 5 minute phone call with some subordinate later I was told that it wouldn't be necessary to write me a check because if the damage was that bad then they would simply deem it a total loss and that they were going to deal only with my lender and that they expected me to delivermy car to them immediatly.

I got a hold of my lender who told me that i could purchase my vehicle from them for a fraction of the price of what it originally cost (of course with all the damage remaining and for me to fix). I then spoke to a fred loya representative and they agreed that I could purchase it back. I Gave a representative at a local store the money orders and was on my way with the belief that this was all settled, oh how wrong I was.

Several days had passed since delivering the money orders, personally I might add, and I wanted to know when I would get my title.

Their answer NEVER. They stated that they had never recieved the money at their state headquarters, that I needed to pay them again and that they were not responsible for finding the lost money. Eventually, weeks later after providing them with a copy of the carbon copy from the original money orders I was told that it was my responsibility to track them down and find out who cashed them. Lots of talks with out of town representatives at the main headquarters and finally I got the branch supervisor, Ibelieve, who got things moving a little bit. They agreed to let me keep the car and conseeded that they lost the money orders on their end. Later that week they paid the bank and at this point almost two months has gone bye.

The bank was paid and still things were not settled, there was still the matter of me recieving my title. They said they would be in touch, they said they would get a rep. out here in thhe coming days to put a tracker on the money orders at the post office. We set a date and the date comes and goes. I called again and finally some one shows up but it's to early to put a tracker so they say they will return. I call, my call go not only unanswered but unreturned. Another month goes bye and still the same thing happens, still more unanswered and unreturned call. Today is just afew days till the sixth month of ongoing problems officially continues and just today one thing has changed, my phone call was answered. It would be such a triamph but the supervisor had no idea who i was or anything about my long history with this ONE claim. I was told to expect a call on monday but I certainly won't be holding my breath.

Thank god for not holding my breath. while writing this the new supervisor in charge of this mess calls me back and says that they infact do have my title and have had it all along but have been waiting on me to deliver them a set of new money orders. Can You believe the nerve. They lost the money and expect me two pay them again. I told him to issue a tracking on the money orders at the post office closest him because there is no way I'm sending them more money. They are to be in touch on monday, whatever that means in their little universe. Sometime next september maybe.

I have not had a very positive experience with Fred Loya Insuarance either. I signed up for Insurance with Fred Loya for my husband, only because he is not in the country legally, and therefore does not have a vaild Drivers Lisence. The quoted me a price over the phone and started the policy for me and I made my first payment to them and set it up for automatic payments to be drafted from my checking account. I did not add myself on to the policy, simply because I do not ever drive his vehicle, and don't ever plan to do so either. In November had some unexpected expensed that I paid from my checking account, and the account was debited for the payment for his policy and the money was returned on the same date also. I called the local office that I usually deal with, and was told that he did not know why this happened, but that they would try to draft the account again in a few days and that the policy was still current and not to worry about anything. Well, a few days later they did draft the money from my account, and once again retured it on the same date. I called the following monday, and was told that they did not know why that happened and that the policy had been canceled! I asked the lady that I was talking to if I could go ahead and pay by phone, and she told me yes, and then a second later No. I didn't understand why I couldn't make the payment, if the money was always drawn from my account, and not to mention the fact that I'm the person that started the account initially. They have very poor support for their customers and that are not very intelligent people in any manner shape or form.

Fred Loya Insurance do not get insurance from this company

I tried to cancel my policy with Fred Loya Insurance. To my knowledge it was done. But the next month it was drafted from my account again, putting me in the negative. Now in order for them to credit my account, i have to *** work, go to the bank to get a statement, and fax it to their stupid corporate office to prove to them that they are idiots. That means i am missing out on more money by having to leave work and cancel my appts. They owe me for two months worth of insurance and instead of just sending a check like i was initially "guaranteed", i have to do all of the footwork for their mistake and they are costing me more money. I will never go thru a smaller insurance company to try to save money again. I strongly urge everyone to go elswhere. Also, the supervisor i spoke to at corporate will not return my calls so i have to deal with someone at a local branch office. Do not get insurance from this company!

Call your States Department of Insurance. The Dallas Morning News had an article around June, 2010 that said that Fred Loya Insurance is being investigated by the Texas Department of Insurance because of all the complaints with them. Fred Loya will not listen to you, but they might listen to your states department of insurance. Fred Loya is in Texas, California, New Mexico and now going to Illinois. Just google Fred Loya Complaints and you will see what comes out, not a single good review, not by their insured, not by ex-employees, not by car repair shops...

sTAN80...

You know we are in modern times and i believe the excuse of you leaving work to get a bank statements. Its just bananas...simply because with newer technology there is online banking or is your bank a little one that dont offer that service. And if you where also well knowledged when you opened your bank account, you would be aware that anything that automate permission for automated draft, it is your duty to do a formal cancellation as in to go in person to the sales office to cancel the draft to come out of your bank account. Gosh, where you that lazy. Also if you dont get returned calls means that you where not speaking clearly or did not state the required information to place that call back. You should not critize other insurance companies if it upsets you that you dont have the coverage to file a claim through your carrier thats if you had insurance. Seriously, you should do the research before you blog.

Fred Loya Insurance bad customer service

We have been insured by Fred Loya for over two years. Yesterday we called them to change our bank draft information for the upcoming payment. They emailed the form and required us to call them back. Today, they have not changed the bank information. We called them and they can't stop the draft scheduled for next Wednesday. We pleaded with them to stop the draft of that account because it will cost us a NSF charge of $35 on top of their payment amount and their fee for the NSF. They can't do it...takes ten days and a form. WE faxed the form yesterday but it did not have both our signatures. She said fax it again but can't guarantee a thing. More than likely the money will be drafted from the wrong bank. We asked them to cancel the insurance, they can't do that either without us driving 100 miles to the nearest office to sign a form. This is ridiculous...what happened to taking care of your customer? From the looks of somme of the these complaints, it is a good thing we were not involved in a wreck with one of their clients or ourselves. WE will be cancelling the insurance one way or another. The staff was not helpful at all...and on top of that, they talk over you...everytime we tried to explain our need, they would interrupt us and talk over us not allowing us to speak. Rude very Rude...I highly recommend you change insurance agents or avoid Fred Loya all together. I will continue to spread the news against Loya from this point forward...I will get the word out...

Fred Loya Insurance worthless coverage

Fred loya insurance 'covers' mainly mexicans but then denies claims when their insured hits other people by claiming the PERSON is not covered and refusing to pay even when the CAR is covered. So...

this is just one more example of a screwing to law abiding citizens by mexicans looking to skirt their responsibility.

one mexican rubbing the grubby hands of all the others.

worthless! rip off!

this is an example of a mexican parent letting an unlicened 15 yo kid drive. he hits my son, loya won't pay so guess who gets screwed?

this is just more cr*p.

I'm sorry but you're and idiot. I totally agree with you on this company being a rip off what
why the F*** does it have to be about mexicans? It's people like you that instill hate
when we already have enough problems with
people making this a race issue. You should be
ashamed of what you're teaching you son...because I'm sure you say this garbage
in front of him. WHY COULDN'T THIS JUST
BE ABOUT A COMPANY SCREWING PEOPLE
ON THEIR MONEY AND CLAIMS?

Fred Loya Insurance bad service

My daughter filed an auto crash claim with Loya ins, They took the claim and closed it within 3 hours of reporting it to them. They claim that the car was insured, not the driver. So thats the reason they closed it, they also called my daughter and suggested she file a law suit on her own. When we called them they were very rude and refused to listen to reason. When we called for damage estimates, several shop owners refused to give estimates when they learned that they were going to deal with Fred Loya Ins. I have never dealt with anything like this before.

Fred Loya Insurance rude staff

I got into an accident where it was the other driver's fault. The claims person at Fred Loya, Miguel Reyes, passed on a message to the other driver to have me contact him. When I called Miguel, he asked for my statement. I told him that the other drive said after the accident, "I'm sorry, I didn't see you. Please don't go through insurance and I'll pay for the damage." Miguel started to lecture me and pointed out that the other driver never said, "It was my fault." When I said that I understood, he started talking over me. During the entire conversation, he acted like the accident was my fault. I was just doing what he asked me to do...give my statement!

I am not a lawyer, but a lawyer would advise you to never agree to give a statement to the other guy's insurance company. Fred Loya Insurance is now being investigated by the Texas Department of Insurance, because, according to an article on the Dallas Morning News, Fred Loya Insurance is one of the companies in Texas with the most complaints with said Department. If you want anything to go on your favor, file a complaint with your state's Department of Insurance, they regulate insurance companies and help you resolve your issues with these insurance companies. Fred Loya Insurance was fined $10, 000.00 by the Texas Department of Insurance in 2006 for hiring people without and insurance license as "insurance agents". To sell insurance, discuss insurance with a potential client without having an active insurance license is a misdemeanor in most US states, yet many Insurance companies, broker, agents hire unlicensed "agents" knowing full well it is a crime.
