I visited the Cici's pizza at Park and Coit in Plano, TX on 12/29/18 and noticed that they were using only disposable plastic cups and utensils. I would have hoped that Cici's would provide customers with a bin to recycle these plastic utensils and water cups. However, I didn't see any such bin in any obvious place and it seemed to me that all of these recyclables were going into the general landfill trash. I was surprised and disappointed to see that Cici's adopted such an irresponsibly wasteful practice, while other businesses are moving in a sustainable direction. Cici's is not a small struggling business and the change from metal silverware and hard plastic cups seems to me just a way to cut corners and save money. If the restaurant insists on using single-use cups and cutlery, I would request that they place a clearly visible recycling bin with the bussing trays and trash can.
