Boardparadise Internet sales

I returned a pair of defective boots to this seller. Amazon made the return easy as could be by purchasing the replacement and gave me 7 days to return the damaged ones. I returned within a couple days and nearly 2 weeks later the replacement pair tracking still said they hadn't been handed off to USPS. There were no replies from the seller but I was assured they would arrive in time by Amazon. When they didn't the seller lied to Amazon CS saying they would overnight them to me so I could still make it for a snowboarding trip I spent over $1000 on just for the chalet that could not be refunded. Boots didn't arrive. We opened a case against the seller and I sent a final message asking if we could just resolve the issue. I told them I would forget everything that happened and even would give them a good review if they could just get them to me by our next scheduled chalet stay. Seller agreed to ship them and asked what address I wanted them sent to. I went as far as to provide the seller with a FedEx priority overnight label that they just needed to slap on the box. Short of going to NC and shipping the boots for them I did everything I could to make this as easy as possible. On the day they needed to be shipped and after it was too late for any other options of getting boots to me in time they refunded the money which is now held for 3-5 business days. I'm also out the money I spent on the label. They've wasted weeks of my time, cost me a great deal of money and have jerked me around in every way possible. Do not purchase from this seller and I urge you to check other locations for similar reviews all over the Internet. After seeing some of the ones I have, it seems I'm lucky I even got my money back. Truly a poorly run company that cares nothing about their customers or reputation.

Full description of the incident:
I ordered the following items:

2 × POINT 65 SWEDEN SNAP-TAP BUCKLE
2 × POINT 65 SWEDEN SNAP-TAP RATCHET STRAP

from the website boardparadise.com, but I still have not received the order as of Nov. 21, 2021. I received a USPS tracking number for the order, which states "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item". I have not received any notification from the company about the order.

I contacted boardparadise through messages on their website on multiple occasions (Sep. 19 and Nov. 14) inquiring about the status of my order and they did not respond.

On Nov. 21 I reported the charge as fraud to my bank.

Desired outcome: I reported the charge as fraud to my bank so I do not need a refund, but I would like the company to be held responsible in some way for their actions.

This is the poorest customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. Do not order from this company. I did it on Oct. 20th and returned the product shortly after receiving it. It was the wrong size and not what I expected. I requested a refund and ever since Nov. 12 they have not returned my money. The amount was an item costing $131.95 and they will not nor have they tried to return my money. On Nov. 12 someone sent me an email saying the money was refunded but it has not shown up in my bank account. I been trying to resolve this issue since then. I cannot reach anyone by phone. I been emailing this company and calling since Nov. 2020. I used a site call Afterpay to support the initial transaction and they have been trying to help me resolve the problem as well. They have not had any success either. I am beginning to think like others that are reporting on "Google Review" site - they are demonstrating to me they are thieves. I hope this review get someone's attention.

Boardparadise blue enamel 6 cup pot

January 2018 ordered a pot that turned out not to be what I wanted. Order # [protected] item #13777. Returned to pot then checked in by emails to find out where my refund was. Sent in proof of return at least 3 times. Never heard back from the company, never got my refund. Pot cost me 18.00, 26.67 after tax and shipping. Return postage cost me 12.00. I want my 18.00 or 26.67 refund immediately.

Boardparadise Same as everyone else

My story is the same as everyone elses. Order product - receive an email saying product not in stock and forced to take a store credit rather than a refund. Cannot get a hold of anyone and no one responds to emails or phone calls. This is illegal and is a bait and switch.

WHAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO IS CALL THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE OF NORTH CAROLINA!

I just did and they took my complaint. Apparently only nine other people have taken it to this level. But everyone needs to start doing it.

I was told that since they have been resolving each of the complaints with refunds, the DOJ doesn't think nine complaints is that much so they have been leaving boardparadise alone. I asked why the DOJ doesn't get them to fix the cause of the "problem" (ie. their illegal policy of the store credit bait and switch) rather than the "symptoms" (ie. taking care of each complaint at once and resolving the refund).

Look folks, board paradise doesn't care because obviously this policy is good for their bottom line because very few people take the time to escalate the problem where they will get in trouble.

Everyone needs to call the Department of Justice Consumer Protection line and complain that it is NOT enough to just get each problem resolved individually (which is a small percentage of the problems since most people don't take it to that level), but rather they need to force Boardparadise to change their illegal "store credit" policy for things that are not in stock.

CALL THE DOJ of Norch Carolina and ask why they keep ignoring the fact that Board Paradise operates under a completely illegal store credit p0licy for items not in stock!

Boardparadise No customer service -Frauds

LIGHTS ON BUT NOBODY'S HOME!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I am a victim of this dubious company and did not see the negative reviews until it was too late. The company I write about is, CrossRoad Sports DBA(Doing Business As) tightboards.com and boardparadise.com. I made a purchase on January 7, 2009 and received virtually everything with the exception of one small item. One of the items I ordered stated that it was in stock and was ready to ship within 24hrs even though it was not. I found other deals on their website yesterday, Sunday, January 18, 2009 and decided to go ahead and make another purchase, pick a different item that wasn't shipped to me and have them include it in my new order to save them shipping costs; what a grave mistake!

After I made a second purchase with this company I began to see blogs and negative reviews of this terrible company. Instantly I thought, what have I done now? I called them this morning Monday, January 19, 2009 to have tightboards add the item that was not in stock to my credit card, they have not sent me a conformation letter yet and probably never will. I tried to call back later and cancel my recent order only to get a recording. I also sent their customer service manager a letter of complaint as well as sending the same letter to the Greensboro, NC Better Business Bureau. I have been doing heavy research on this company and and found many of the owners' names and extensions, (which I will provide later), calling them many times as I tried entering every extension I was given by there company hence my title, THE LIGHT IS ON BUT NO BODY IS HOME.

In short, I felt it was time to vent my frustration and help the next potential boardparadise/tightboard buyer of making a huge mistake. I can tell you this, I will never do business with this company again and will go out of my way to inform all of my skater and snowboard friends not to even think about buying from them as well as starting an anti boardparadise/tightboard groups on the web to inform others of their less than ethical ways.

To All. who suspect Board Paradise, Hi. While googling a specific old school Brand of Skateboard Decks. I noted Board Paradise's store was close to the top (which should mean current or near). Clicking on the heading, I was taken straight to a Board Paradise page featuring the SIMS Taperkick 8.75 x 44 Deck, (new) complete with a correct image. This Deck should not normally be available, even a re-issue which was produced a few years ago. Will not be available to be buy over the counter. The price quoted was a regular price for a currently available re-issue Deck. I read the reviews here, and grinned. As stated, it is hard to contact this company, the phone seems to divert to voicemail. I e-mailed the company three times over a couple of days. I later got an answer from Josh. This was a reasonable sounding reply, stating if the transaction goes through, it's available. I later googled the SIMS Taperkick Deck page again. Without opening it, I noticed a (possible) additional caption stating 'Out of Stock'. I am glad I read the customer reviews here.

The former owner of BP is back in business somehow, not only is he operating “BPRIDESHOP.COM” but he also is running a site called AXISRIDESHOP.COM, spread the word, its the SAME ### scam he’s been running for years. its called bait and switch…….he sells you ### he doesn’t have, has his so called customer service reps talk you into something different. oh yea, and then he doesn’t pay the vendors that make the industry what it is and screws the local sales reps out of their commissions. support people who pay bills, don’t shop at either of these sites and spread the word.

I have experienced the same issues. Order something "in stock", get email with store credit. Order replacement item, get another email with store credit. In the email it says that you can request your money be returned within 5 days... which I did. With NO response. I have called customer service 25 times, never get to anyone. Nobody works there. I will be #1 in the queue and always go to voicemail. Have left 5 voicemails with customer service, 3 with the Laura Derr, the "Customer Service Manager" and sent 5 emails to the helpdesk. No response, ever. Now, their site is conveniently shut down, so I can't order anything else and they are sending me emails from "Tightboards.com" to come shop there. I have submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have not yet received response from BoardParadise. TELL ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS TO NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND CRIMINALLY PROSECUTED FOR STEALING FROM CONSUMERS.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
But if you already have and have paid by credit card, don't believe anything you hear from them about crediting your account. They will lie and lie.
CALL your credit card right now and 'dispute' the charge. It will take a few months because Tightbds/bdparadise does not respond to disputes and your card company has to wait the full time until they can reward you the dispute but you will get your money back through your cc company.
ASK your cc company to make a complaint through their Merchant Services on this company.

Boardparadise Scam

Placed a preorder for snowboard pants from this website. Was charged to my credit card on Sept 20th...delivery date came and went many times..always told us they would be arriving next week..finally by mid-Nov we insisted on a replacement, which ended up being cheaper, instead of giving a refund for the balance, as stated in their policy, they gave us a store credit...then had the nerve to charge me shipping on my credit card, not authorized by me instead of using our existing credit. To top it all off had to pay $83 in duty on a $200 pair of pants because they sent it the cheapest way possible. Short form: It took 2 1/2 months to receive a $200 pair of pants (replacement ones even) that ended up costing me $329 and they won't even refund the lousy $25 store credit.

Making complaint to Mastercard about unauthorized charges to my card and to North Carolina BBB about poor customer service and suspicious business practices...phone number on package is out of order and phone number and chat on website is a joke, automated email replies - if you finally get one...need to call direct: [protected]

I bought a small 6 cup enamel pot for 18.00 that turned out not to be what I was looking for. I returned it (cost me $12 in postage!) I emailed the proof of return over and over again. Never heard from the company again. I will complain over and over again to any place I can post so that others do not get scammed by these creeps!

Boardparadise Possible fraud!

I ordered an item in early December and after several weeks I finally received an Email that stated that the item that I ordered was not in stock. The debit had already been made from my account. They stated in the Email that I could choose another item. I have made multiple attempts to contact the company and have never been able to make any contact with them. I have mailed a letter to the company canceling my order and still no response. At the very least it is terrible customer service but I am starting to believe that this may be fraud!

I ordered a shirt in January still waiting for credit I returned it immediately they received it but I can never get thru to them. $177! Everytime I call memory is full and if I send an email no one responds. Need to shut them down not fair.

Boardparadise Possible fraud

I ordered online and the website listed the item as in stock. I didn't receive a confirmation email or order number. Had an extremely difficult time reaching them for info on my order-#[protected]-and when i did was told it was not in stock and I could not cancel even tho they had not shipped it yet, nor will they refund my money at all. They have not responded to my emails. I am afraid this is a fraudulent company.

I ordered a snowboard from their website on Nov 11, 2008 and received a conf. email and order#. Have been checking order status ever since and it states "has not yet been shipped". Tried calling and emailing their joke of a customer service dept and no one will respond. My credit card has been fully charged the amount and im pulling my hair out.

I don't know what to say...if i read this before i made my orders, i definitely wouldn't order from this store but i haven't so i ordered. a lot. and must say that i have only positive experiences from them. perhaps that's because i live in europe and they treat international orders differently...i don't know...but i recieved everything i ordered in 5-10 day, very cheap shipping costs and really great prices. i'm satisfied with them and with their customer support...

BOARDPARADISE/TIGHTBOARDS has gone into Chapter 7 Bankruptcy finally. Forced by creditors and the companies product it carried. I have never personally had a problem with them (thankfully), but I'm positive this is a good thing.

I wish I read this before, the site seemed so legit. I ordered my girlfriend a board for her birthday, she had her eye on two, the first one i ordered was not in stock. They issued me a store credit (which i see is a problem for a lot of you as well). Luckily they had the other board she was looking for, and I got it, along with the gloves and vest I ordered. I was excited. Decided the prices were good enough to go ahead and get myself another board. Order it, put a typo in my email, used a comma instead of a period. I couldn't track anything, didn't get a receipt called them letting them know, left a message cuz i couldn't get through to anyone, and they never called back nor fixed my problem. My package shows up, in a small square box, open, and it looked like a semi spent a full day running over it, and UPS had a huge sticker on it, claiming it was opened and destroyed when they recieved it for shipping. To top all that off, I ordered a snowboard, payed for a snowboard and was charged for a snowboard. I recieved womens bindings, way to large to even take my losses and let my girlfriend use them. I have called 78 times ( I checked my phone) since monday when i recieved the box, it is now thursday. I have left countless messages, and emails. I have a feeling there really is no customer service representative helping anyone. I think its a scam. I even called their retail store number and it took me to a machine, that was full, so i couldn't leave a message. If anyone can get through to them please tell me how. I was so stoked when my girlfriend got her stuff without to much hassle, and then I got totally screwed. I knew it was too good to be true. Don't deal with boardparadise.com They need to be shut down. I'm going to dispute the charges if i can't get ahold of anyone by tomorrow. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever recieved in my life. I would fly down to north carolina and take my board from them personally, but from Lake Tahoe, its 562 bucks round trip.
