Ashley HomeStore working conditions

I have never stepped foot in a Ashley Furniture store though it has come to mind with buying a house recently .Unfortunately that has changed finding out how they treat there as I shoud say disposable workforce. For instance they have no set schedule so they come in at a floating time and work them beyond there means till whenever the hell they feel like they should go home or when they are done with them . like telling them to come in at 10 and working them till 8 or whenever and then to come in an hour earlier and work the same way . This is slave labor and they use there workers like they are disposable this is ### and should be stopped. There should be more regulations on this what I call there cheap labor. I will never spend a dollar with this company nor any company that will support this way of work .

Ashley HomeStore repair and payment

I put in a complaint 6+ months ago that when they moved my furniture they broke the leg on the couch. I have still been making my payments every month and still has not been fixed. Back in October 2010 I put in another complaint to have it fixed and a guy came a week later said he had to order new legs for the couch that are not the original legs and would be smaller than the legs that came with it. He said he would be back in about a week and now 2 months later it still is not fixed. They called me this morning asking me for my payment and I stated I'm almost done with my contact fix my couch you will get the payment. Chris the manager said he would take me to court so I refuse to make a payment. Called corporate and a Matt Wood said he would write off the account but I would no longer be able to do business with them. I said that's fine I don't think I would do business with you again anyway. He then stated that he was going to put in the computer that I didn't finish my contact. If he wrote it off I finished my contract so I don't know how he can say I didn't after waiting 6+ months for repair I think that is default on the contract on their behalf not mine so I should not be written off as not finishing my contract...

Ashley HomeStore worst customer service

These people are the most incompetent group of individuals I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Initially they wrote me in for the wrong delivery date so the delivery truck was at my house while I was at work. That problem got resolved, they came out the next day with all the wrong items and even those items were missing pieces. I went to the store and they said that someone had entered the information on the computer wrong, so that problem seemingly got resolved. I was very patient throughout this entire ordeal. The next day I never recieved a confirmation for the time and date that I had prescheduled, so I took the liberty of calling them and they told me it was en route. I told them that I was at work and could not be home and the woman on the other end told me she couldnt stop the delivery truck once en route. I called my girlfriend to see if she could go wait at my place for them, she waited six hours when it was only supposed to be a three hour window. Nobody there was able to help me and answer my question as to what was going on; meanwhile the phone no. they were directing me to was left unanswered by any customer service agent and the manager was impossible to get on the phone. Tomorrow I am going to demand a full refund which I am positive will be like pulling teeth. DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE.

Ashley HomeStore lying & misleading information

I bought a bed & a few other items. They offered the no interest so I took it. I have excellent credit so why not? They lied about being able to pay online (you cannot). They refused to stop calling when I was burying my family member because I flew out w/out mailing check but wouldn't take payment on the phone either. ###s every single person involved w/ASHLEY. I am paying off this today & I will continue to tell anyone who asks just how much ASHLEY FURNITURE SUCKS!

Ashley HomeStore waste of time

I bought a sectional from Ashley Furniture in Bellefontaine, Ohio almost 2 years ago. I bought for 5 years no inetest on an Ashley store card with a line of $6500. They promised 2 weeks delivery and it took almost 6 weeks and the order could not be cancelled, they have a no cancellation policy for all orders, regardless of reason. Even after that experience, I went in there today and it proved a waste of time. 1. Their sign as well as local print ads said "NO INTEREST FOR 4 YEARS" after making our selection and checking out, we were told our purchase was 12 months no interest with no explanation for the difference. 2. Our purchase was for approx $850 and we were told loudly, in the presence of other customers that our card was denied (the limit is $6500, the balance is $830 and this purchase is $850) the math does not work out. The "manager" supposedly called someone reagrding the credit and very loudly said our name, card number, address and situation over the phone so everyone in the store could hear it. He hung up and then very loudly said it was denied and they would send a letter explaining. I think they should (and I thought were required by law) discuss credit matters more quietly and privately. So, they bait & switched me to get me in the door, lied about the financial terms and embarassed me and possibly jeopardized my financial information by discussing it so loudly. Don't go there, they are terrible.

Sometimes financing doesn't work like a credit card (even though they call it "credit"). How much was your sectional? Did you terms change on the credit line?

They should have given you a reason why your terms were different and they should've been more quiet.

Ashley HomeStore fraud

I ordered a bedroom set of a particular style. They delivered a different bedroom set of a different (and, of course, cheaper) style. They refused to acknowledge their error, and in fact insisted that they had delivered what I had ordered. I have never come across any business in any field that cared so little about basic standards of honesty and customer service. My advice: DO NOT buy Ashley Furniture.

anyone hear about the new messiah? He has put curse on those who refuse to believe that he is messiah and will end up in hell for not beleiveing in him. He's in the Los Lunas prison there in New Mexico for only healing 2 underaged virgins (well used to be) not any longer, after he consummated with them and even his sons wife.
Peope keep believing, still has over 200 people following him as they seriously believe in him.
He used to be pastor in Idaho, then divorced 3rd wife, moved down to New Mexico. god forced him onto the floor one afternoon, told him he must consummate with his sons wife, Wendy...eeeeew! That 69 yr old snake is more than ugly, but the women all "sleeping" with him. He placed curses on me and few others for turning him into the police after reading the girls online diaries where they wrote about painful experiences with old dog, naked, cold, between the sheets with him during the night...Wayne Bent...I call him WayBent defense attorney claims is his religious right to heal these girls by laying naked, on top of them...is sickening, grosses me out.
Now he claims end of the world and for those who tuned him ino police will suffer even worse.
He's also told of his late night visitation Halloween Eve...satan came to his room, temping him to worship him in exchange for supernatural powers, able to destroy earth at just his thoughts.
This snake scares me. My husband sufferes return of mouth cancer. I'm afraid this animal really did put curse on me...hope this is the correct place to post this...if not, then can always close this comment thread.
but take a look at his photo. you will agree he is dashingly handsome! NOT!
but, try keep tabs on this case as he's dumped more $ into his defense appeal. If he gets let out, he will convince his followers to all commit suicide. Those following him are not stupid, just very decieved and I think are demon possesed. How can his son allow his dad screw his wife, take her as his own, along with numerous other wives that were living on HIS 350 acres in Clayton New Mexico. This is serous stuff...as it will end up another WaCCo or Ruby Ridge. Just pray Bent gets bullet through the cottage cheeze inside his skull before he ends up destroying more lives...he's forced more than 25 marriages to divorce so only he can screw all their wives as the cults "holy man"...yeah right. But I don't get how he's able to get away with this.
Dr Phil aired this story last year when one of the cults girls beleived WayBent is messiah and she'd fasted to where she was almost dead. Her sister was able to "kidnap" her from the compound, and put her in hospital...she went right back to her "god", but changed her mind, and left and is now living a "normal" life but now the cult memebers threatening her now, saying she's going to hell...ha! She was IN HELL! They're ones in hell in there!

I cannot believe the "jibberish" mix up within my last comment. YES! I am a ###, but I'm NOT stupid!
I'm hoping to help warn others of this scamming companies practices so others won't get seperated from their hard earned money. I was sooo foolish and was easliy reeled into their trap. Wish they had a $10 store, sell needed goods and or more!
Now I'm out money we don't have...anyway... hope you were able to dicipher what I was trying to convey.
In simpler words...Was trying to tell of what happened to me! ha ha, LoL! hate when people use $3 words, trying to impress readers how bright and brilliant they are when using intelectual verbaige.
Bottom line: DO NOT even CALL those selling their cheapo (GTexpress 101) aka "X-press, Redi, Set Go" "Quickie Cooker" GAI AM company. Think I'll have some fun giving them the same run around I was given when first made contact, just asking about ordering one. Was forced into giving them all my contact and credit card info BEFORE they would answer any questions...I clearly told them I wanted to 1st know WHAT I was purchasing, but was told a service person would call me day after next, Sunday morning that would explain just what I'd intended to purchase. I never got any phone calls, next thing I knew, was knock on front door, delivering their schit and charged me $40.76 S&H charges. If I return them, they will charge more S&H, return fee.
Thank God I learned before too late that I was being charged minimum $25 per month for recieving more parts to these dealys...OMG!...a childs "Easy Bake Oven" is ten times the quality of their gunk! Go figure!
Their call center is in the Philipins...I don't faulth anyone when comes to race, intelegence or whatever. They have families to feed, and at least aren't stealing...just working, following instructions, rules from their boss.
anyway...hope this helped save someone some heartaches

WARNING: CAUTION: WARNING! Do NOT purchase these extremly expensive pans and don't even attempt to call just to ask about them...they WILL scam you as those answering the phones, are in the Philipins and hungry vicious sharks. These phone people are trained to answer your every objections AND give you tidbits of bait as they reel you into thier trap! These people are NOT stupid, are very bright, brilliant...they hire only those who have "guts" enough to get your trust/money and sell you stuff!
THAT is ONLY way they make enough $ to feed their families!
Their goal is to seperate you from your wallet/money! Thats all they're interested in.
The shipping is about $14...their handling fee of $36 is rediculous! And if you're not careful, once they've gotten your credit card info, you're in for big surprise as you will find charges for items you never ordered...all in the guise of parts you'll need for your cooker.
anyway...I've got my point across here...sorry for the rambling...I'm just angry, upset by way I fell for this. silly me...what was I thinking? Ha!

If you've already ordered it...do NOT accept it...refuse to accept it...at very least you'll only be out $40...
when I called, asking them why so many charges on my credit card, then see automatic monthly charges, I was very upset. The person on other end charismatic, charming, talked me into just accepting the package, no harm, just look it over...if not happy, just send it back...She tried to intimidate me, threatening to charge for extra handling, shipping return cost was more than $40...but if I keep it...will get a 10% discount...when I still wouldn't accept her offer...she made counter offers...now we're supposed to get $25 discount...BFD!
Now I've paid $140...I think, for 2 very cheaply made glorified waffle iron pans.
we're basically vegan and I make tofu/pecan "meat balls"...I wanted just ONE MACHINE that looked promising and would make rounded meatballs by using the rounded pan insert...ha! Is paper thin with half attempt at teflon coating thats sure to peel within one useage...oh great...more plastic to enter my system!
AND I paid basically $70 for a cheapo glorified waffle pan...and...get this...I only got 1...ONE insert that will make the meatballs...is only 5 rounds in the pan...only about 1 inch meatball...oh great! Will take me hours in order to make enough "meat balls" like I'd hoped for...and doesn't have another rounder pan to put on top, so keep them round...if I want to order it...they're more than happy to sell me one...BUT ONLY if I sign up for monthly shippment of more of their cheap cheezy crap. OMG...I wish I would have seen the bad comments BEFORE, not after. And IF you read ANY good comments...whats stopping them from making the good comments themselves? Sheeeeze! No one to stop them...and all the "sheeple" fall for their hard core selling tactics.
I am such a ###! and now I'm a poor ### who has two very expensive pieces of junk!
And all I wanted just one! BUT they FORCE you into purchasing two...then charge you extra shipping and extra handling...make promise they never intend on following thru...go ahead purchase one if you're wealthy enough to throw money in the trash...if you are...send some my way...my husband is terminally ill with mouth cancer and our adopted son, wife, 3 kids going hungry as he can't find job...my grand daughter...so precious girl has stomach tumor...her last MRI shows its not grown any...hoping its not cancer and they're ignoring this because she's mexican and desperatly poor...my "son" refuses our help most of time as he feels is wrong we just give them money we don't have either...but darn it...don't want those grandkids going hungry! These kids are just precious, very respectful, sweet, kind...so unlike kids of today...these kids didn't ask be born mexican and poor! They aren't takers nor do they hold sense of entitlement like our bio son.

Ashley HomeStore sofa and recliner

We bought a recliner and couch (with recliner on each end) from Ashley at Superstition Springs Mall in Mesa, Arizona. Just two months later, the leather started flaking off the back of one side of the couch, which we had hardly sat in at all! Because we had paid extra for the warranty, they sent out a repair person who "painted" the color back on and sealed it with a hair dryer. OK, we put up with that. Then just over a year later, I noticed it was doing it again AND the chair that matches the couch (which my husband uses ALL the time)was flaking also. I drove to the store to speak with them and was told nothing could be done as even though we had the extended warranty, it doesn't cover normal, everyday wear. Also, the seat on the couch was/is all bunched up and we have NO children or anyone else who abuses this furniture in any way! I left there in TEARS. This was our first NEW furniture since the early 80's and it is RUINED and looks like crap! Because of the size of the couch and the reclining sides, I can't even get a slip cover for it. I have a comforter over my husband's chair. Now I see that the seat of his chair is flaking, too! A good friend of mine, whom I met AFTER all this happened has the same couch with problems also. Her stitching is coming apart. WOULD NOT SUGGEST BUYING ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. When I am able to get new furniture (WHEN, I don't know!), I will be getting it second hand from Craig's List. Nothing new for me EVER again. The Ashley Furniture Stores need to be out of business for good!

Ashley HomeStore trouble returning damaged furniture

On 10/05/10 we purchased 2 ove seats and a couch from the Avondale store. They told us we would get a call to set up a delivery time for the next day.We were woken up at around 7a.m. the next morning by the delivery truck, no call to set up.When we accepted delivery on the surface the furniture look alright. Later on that morning when we actually sat down on it we found that the seat cushion on one of the love seats hangs over the edge to much and gets caught in the mechanisum when you try to open and close the recliner. this is not a loose cushion so it is not like you can push back or move it . It is fixecd to the frame. So then we tried the other recliners and found that they all had problems. We tried thru out the same day to call customer service and their line was always busy. Finally we got thru the next day and were told they would e-mail thestore our complaint. Just to make sure we went to the store and talked to store manager. We were told that they would refund our money minus a delivery fee and an additional pick up fee.A total of $159.82 that are down the drain. In the first place it is not my fault that they sent out defective furniture. I have to send it back because it is no good, why should I be carged for them to take back something they should not have delivered to begin with. Okay when we were at thestore the manager said we would be call within 24 hours to set up a pick up time. We waited more than 24 hours and no call. we called the manager again on the next day after the time had passed and he assured us that he would see to it that the furniture was picked up the next day, that was on a Friday. Friday came and went no call not pick up. We talked to manager of Sat. and he was going to get right on it and call us back, no call, no pick up. he was unavaliable the rest of the day Sat. and Sun. We asked the receptionist if she could check and see when we were scheduled for pick up and she told us not till the 15th of October which is more than a week after we reprted the problem. Today is Mon. Oct. the 11th, we called thestore this morning and talked to the same manager and told him that we needed to have it picked up sooner as we were planning to leave Thurs. on a trip. He said he would get right on it and call us right back. You guessed it no call yet. He never even made and excuse for not calling us back even to let us know they weren't coming. We wasted all weekend waiting for a call or someone just to show up like when they deliverd. Nothing, Nada I am very dissapointed that in todays economy they have no more respect for their customers than this.Everybody has to sacrafice right now to be able to buy furniture. You would think that they would check out their furniture before they deliver it and stand behind their word when thaey deliver dameged goods. I think they probably figure they'ss atleast make money of of you on all the delivery and pick up fees. Our next step is BBB and 3 on your side T.V.

Ashley HomeStore accidental tear

Bought a couch through Beiters Furniture and purchased the Ultra Sheild 10 year fabric waranty. To cover any damages like accidental tears and cuts. When our dog got caught on the material and caused an accidental tear. I called the Ultra Sheild representative and made a claim. They told me that pet damage is not covered by the policy eveen though that it clearly states accidental tears and cuts. My problem is still ongoing with this complaint.

Ashley HomeStore peeling leather sectional

I bought a leather sectional at Ashley Furniture Homestore at Carle Place, NY in April, 2008 along with a 5 year protection plan for peace of mind. Two years later, leather is peeling on sectional. I contacted the protection plan company and peeling leather is not covered in plan because according to them it's not an accidental damage but a malfunction damage. I contacted the store and they can not do anything for me because my 1 year warranty is over. Now i am stuck with a $3000 peeling leather sectional that is not worth two bucks. I feel that Ashley furniture did not take responsibility for their poor quality furniture I paid for. Leather should not be peeling, and more so after just 2 years of use. I will never purchase anything else from Ashley because they did not stand by their saying in the contact that states they sell qualify furniture for the price. I emailed them my complaint weeks ago and no one has gotten back to me. Not surprised.

I have a Superstyle leather sofa purchased from Island Furniture in St. John's NL, Canada. It was sold to us as 100% high quality leather piece - cost over $3000. Within 8 months the "leather" started to peel in areas where any movement happened, even down between the cushions. Similar replies to other posts re warranties and service. My advice is to ensure that if you buy leather furniture do not buy it unless the guarantee specifically covers peeling of the surface color. The repair jobs they do are only to get THEM to the end of the warranty period. This sofa was manufactured in Ontario, Canada. This seem like a problem in many places and only if we the consumer insist on this will it change. Don't but it without a non peeling waranty.

Ashley HomeStore 2 months to get a table!!

Do not order anything from ashley furniture unless they have it in stock.

I wanted bar height table, but of course they didn't have a single one in their 50, 000 sq ft showroom. So I picked one from a catalog with a sales rep. It's been 4 weeks, and no call.

I just called over there wondering where the f my $300 bar table is, that I already paid for, and some random chick said it was going to be another month!

I work for a manufacturer... And nothing takes 2 months to ship out! Especially not a damn bar table. I will never buy anything from ashley again. Thanks joe the sales # for not calling me and letting me know. Hope you take your commission and buy some self defense lessons because i'm coming for you.

Ashley HomeStore deception on delivery

Purchased furniture in July, paid in full. Promised 4 week delivery date.

Started calling in August when they did not call to set up delivery date.

Was told that part of furniture on back order and not available until Sept 7th. Called in Sept and told now Sept 17th. Called on Sept 13th and now told back order until Sept 26th. No guarantees, no firm promises, no concession for the inconvenience to the customer. A deal is not a deal if you pay for everything 2 months in advance, including the delivery charge and then 2 months later you still have nothing to show for your money spent.

In this economy how can a company stay in business with this type of service?

We will never buy from Ashley furniture again. We realize it is not a high end furniture store but that should not make any difference. I order things from Target and they are shipped with fail.

Now we are at their mercy because if we cancel, they will not refund us.

So now they are willing to deliver part of our order but don't have a date for 12 more days. And at that our order still won't be complete.

This is absolutely horrible service. Save yourself the headache and frustration and shop elsewhere.

Ashley HomeStore izone bed

We purchased 2 bedroom sets from Ashley's on 8-6-10. After the last promised date of 8-30-10 we still had not received phone call for delivery. When I called they told me the furniture was on back order. When furniture finally arrived to warehouse, scheduleing delivering was a nightmare. They kept changing delivery dates claiming I made changes or my husband made changes when neither did. Delivery finally set for 9/14/10(roughly 6 weeks after purchase). 2 days before delivery they call to tell me one bedroom set is broken and will have to be reordered, apprx 2 wks. They deliver izone bed. Whne we tested the audio it did not work. I called to make complaint and they told me they would send a tech out to fix it. One week later a tech comes out and tells us he does not know anything about electronics, wasn't even familiar with an ipod. He told us he was there simply to confirm it was broken. He orders new part and states it will be 2 wks before it will be delivered. We made some calls to CSM and they were able to 2 day expedite the order but not without many phone calls and messages. When new part arrives it does not work either. This new tech states that he does not think ac adapter provides sufficient power to charge ipod. He suggested we go to radio shack and purchase ourselves a different ac adapter. When that option was refused he told us he would place the order for a new part but it will probably not work either. Frustrated, I began calling CSM managers, their supervisor and the store manager. Of course, we never got them personally. We left messages and have not received a call back. We don't even know if we are going to receive a new part. Now, 4 days of work have had to be missed to wait on their people for no resolution! We did finally recieve the other furniture set and upon inspection the bookshelf is damaged. Now we are looking at a couple of weeks, maybe, to get new part. The customer service managers have been a nightmare. They have made no effort to even take an additional percentage off for all the problems and the fact that the bed is still defective. Of course they offer no returns. We are not even sure what other recourse we have. Please buyer be ware, DO NOT purchase a from Ashley Furniture if you value customer service and resolution of damaged products!

There is an instruction manual with the electronics. It clearly states it will not charge the I-pod/I-Phone. The usb port is only designed to work with a memory stick (yes, you can copy mp3 to a memory stick and plug it in the usb slot and control it with the remote) but it will not work with the I-anything. You can only play an I-pod/phone via connecting a mini plug from the ipod to the auxilary input near the usb. This is from experience - we also thought it would play the iphone based on its name. It does work, just not quite as you would want or expect.

Ashley HomeStore broken bed

I Just bought my bed In Feb/2010 and it now September and my bed broke. They had someone come and take pictures of the broken bed and told me that these bed are no good...he even said if he would fix it that it would brake again so he suggested to add something extra so it shouldn't happen again. I asked him how long will this take to be delivered and fix. He said it will take six weeks. So I want to know where am i suppose to sleep? I have no bed to sleep on. I have no space in my room to move the mattress and sleep on that. They don't care as long as they get your money. I paid 1700 for bunk bed. It's no good plz everyone don't shop at Ashely's. I called the Jersey office that was told to me to be the headquarters for the New Rochelle store. I called and spoke to Isella who was no help I asked her if i could speak to the manager and she told me he isn't available and i asked her to give him my cell number to call. He called my house. I don't understand i stress to her that i wasn't going to be home. I called after and left messages for Rob that's his name to call and i haven't had no call back as yet. I don't understand how they treat their customers and i think they shouldn't be in business. My aunt just order her bed set from them about a month ago and they delivered half of the bed and broke the marble for her bed room set she had to sleep on the mattress on the floor cause they didn't deliver all the items they were supposed to. She had to go on and make a complaint and let them know that she's missing alot of items from her order and they told her they don't have it in stock at the moment. She paid cash for everything. They told her if she didn't pay cash for everything they wouldn't deliver so listen everyone please don't order from them. You will regret that you did.

Ashley HomeStore not made in usa

Ashley furniture advertises that their furniture is made in USA. This is not true. In fact their furniture is made in China then shipped to USA. Shipped to a warehouse then assembled. But the woods, and fabrics are from China not USA. This furniture is made so poorly.Staples sticking out, glue ozzing out. Legs snapping off.You could not give me this furniture for free. The company should be ashamed of them selfs. The company also treats there employees like ***. I had a friend that worked for the company at a store level. This person worked hard, worked over time when needed, never late, never written up. Never a Thank you, a bonis or even a raise after being employeed for nearly 3 years. This person could not take the negitave admisfier and left.

Ashley HomeStore they are the worst customer service I ever experienced

First, there are problems with the two sets kid's room furniture I ordered, they could not assembly the twin size beds together. So they took the beds back. It took me several days to finally reach somebody in their store and the customer service rep to get the status of my order (I called them many times, they always said they will call you back, but they never did). A month later, I finally got all the furniture. But lots of thread on one twin size mattress was broken. So I called the customer service again, they agreed to exchange one for me. A week later, I checked another mattress, and lots of thread on that one was broken too. So I went back to store to discuss the situation with James, who is one of the store manager. He finally agreed to exchange both mattresses for me with different brand. Three more weeks later, they call me that two mattresses are ready, but with balance due on my account. Customer services said I need to talk to the store. So I called them right away, every time, they let me hold without solve the problem, or they said they will call you back, but as usual, they never did. Finally I drove to the store, on my way there, I called them again, and want to talk to James or Wong, both are store managers. They told me James is in Lunch, and Wong is not there. At that time, I just got to store, and James was just sitting in his desk, and Wong is there as well. I don't know why they can lie just like that. Anyway, if you want to buy any furniture, forget about Ashley furniture store in Catonsville, Maryland. They are the worst customer service I ever experienced.

Ashley HomeStore nightmare

I purchased a headborad along with some other things right before moving...I got to my new house and opened up the headboard that was still in the packaging from Ashley and realized it was broken. I called them an they told me they would do an exchange but I would have to drive all the way to Idaho from Utah to bring the headboard back...I couldn't just take it to the Ashley here in UT and exchange it. The floor manager was extremely rude and had a smart mouth. We ended up spending over $100 dollars in gas to drive the headboard to them and bring the new one home...and didn't get a refund, discount, apology, or anything. I called the store manager after the fact several times and he refuses to return my phone calls. Come to find out the floor manger that was so rude to me got sent home for yelling at one of my friends in the store because she was in there after the disaster with out bed happened and she was telling another customer about it-he didn't like her telling the customer and got angry and started yelling. I will never shop at the Ashley in Meridian, ID again! They were rude, and were not willing to work with me so that I wouldn't have to loose money on a headboard I didn't even damage. Ridiculous!

We moved from California to Florida in June of 2010. We ordered about $10, 000 worth of furniture in July of 2010 and as of December 22 we are still waiting on delivery of several pieces of merchandise including the box springs/bed for my son. He has slept on the floor for the past five months waiting for the promised bedroom set to come at any moment. This is a poor company to deal with. I advise all to stay away and purchase from another vendor who will keep their promises and deal forthrightly with you. This has been a nightmare.

On Friday February 15th I had a bedroom set delivered and they damaged my walls. I had them painted so it was very obvious to see the white chalk from the sheet rock and paper protruding from the walls. I called customer services and filed a claim. Today I hear a message about the fact that we signed a liability waiver and the claim was denied. This was intentional by the delivery men. I believe they cover themselves so that they do not need to be careful with peoples' homes.

I'm writing this because, honestly, I have no idea Ashley Furniture is even a business.. I purchased a bed from the Hobbs NM location over three weeks ago. The day following my purchase I noticed in the current paper advertisement that the bed I bought was on sale for $140 less than what I actually paid (in cash).. Mistakes happen, but I'm certain now this was no mistake. I went in to address the the issue and was rudely told they could do nothing about it and told me to call customer service.. The next four days was one dead end phone call after the next.. I got the same excuse each time.. As well as the same empty promise that they were "on it" and would call me back the next day. Of course, that never happened. Ok. Screw the money.. Where's my bed? They have no idea. And will NOT give me my money back.. Not even with a 25% "restocking" fee.. They will do nothing, I have no bed, I'm out $570 with nothing to show for it.. The "corporate trainer" Greg Z. Gave me his personal cell number saying he would take care of the issue.. That was 6 days ago.. I call each day, and he's never once answered.. This place is a joke. With nothing but jokers working for them.. Not one single standup character amongst them. NEVER SHOP HERE.. The horror stories are ENDLESS!

I have nothing good to say about GuardMaster. It is a totally waste of money. I purchased a sectional leather living room set at Ashley's Furniture in Linden, NJ and after 2 years of very light used I noticed the leather started peeling in some areas. I filed a claim with GuardMaster and after emails, pictures, calls, and more calls I received a denial. The reason, "not a manufacturing or accidental damage", therefore, no coverage apply. Completely incompetent and inneficient enviroment going around this company, starting from the General Manager to the helpless Customer Service Reps. The worst experience ever!

This is the WORST type of company and humans I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I purchased a table from Ashley's Furniture in Linden. The table immediately began to give us problems. I placed a claim in JUNE 2012. When the technician came out he said he would get back to us within 10 days. Never happened. Fast forward to February 15, 2013. After more than 15 calls and promises for a call back I spoke to a horrible person named Lori. Apparently Lori is the only the supervisor of the furniture's claim department and she supervises no one but herself. She completely misplaced my information and had to tell her the same story I told everyone else. ALL of SUDDEN, she found the file of the technician who came out. LONG AND BEHOLD SHE DENIED THE CLAIM because the technician, in his infinite wisdom, said it was wear and tear. This ridiculous. NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEYS or purchase a warranty from GUARDMASTER. They are thieves of the worst kind.

I purchased a leather couch and love seat from Ashley's Furniture in Linden, NJ. Also, I purchased the $200-5 year warranty from Guardmaster. About 3 years after purchasing the couches I noticed parts of my "leather couches" began to puff up and peel. I right away filed a claim by fax, email, and on their website; as instructed by a representative at Guardsmaster. After 3 months of waiting, I was fed up with the wait and got aggressive with Guardmaster. With empty promises of being called back from Nadia at Guardmaster, I decided to call the sales department and long and behold someone answered the phone! They transferred me over to a receptionist, who said Frank Divine was in a meeting and couldn't come to the phone at the moment. I demanded that I speak to Frank Devine and that I would wait on the phone, until he was out of his meeting. The receptionist told me that I could not hold the phone line...well I told her that it didn't matter since they never pick up the phone anyway and I didn't have faith that anyone would call me back...because they hadn't in the past. Eventually, Frank Devine promised me that a technician would contact me in a couple of days. A technician contacted me back 2 days later. The technician came and took pictures of my couches and told us this could not be repaired and the couches had to be replaced. A couple of days after that I contacted the technician and he told me he had indeed sent the photos over to Guardmaster 3 days after taking the pictures of the couches. Numerous emails, phone calls, and voicemails later...I have yet to hear anything from Guardmaster! I'm actually planning on driving to the office in Westbury, NY to handle this face to face...I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THEIR UNPROFESSIONALISM!

I, too, am having terrible time with GuardMaster! They came to my house10/2010 to take pictures and
I have been calling and leaving message ever since! I have seriously left over 300 messages! I finally get a hold
of Frank, the manager, and he tells me that he will definitely help me. Well that was over a month ago. I have left him about 10 messages since then and will continue to call until I hopefully get taken care of! I would recommend staying far, far away from this company! They really suck!

I was so mad at GuardMaster for all the calls I had put in to them- today I had it, swore on the phone, called them every hour on the hour until someone finally called back! Don't buy their worthless insurance... I'll update as things progress, or don't progress.

Ashley HomeStore don't purchase from them

I purchased a couch back in April, returned it immediately as quality was extremely poor. It is now mid July and after having spoken to numerable representatives including Managers such as Area General Manager Anita Anzar and local Sales Manager Hector Gutierrez, I have nothing good to report about the customer service I've received or better yet, complete lack thereof. I have been treated rudely, been outright ignored, accused of lying, and worst of all, gone in circles chasing less than $400 for a return a month and a half after I personally returned the poor quality couch I received.

From the beginning, the salesperson that sold me the couch lied to me, claiming he was unaware of the % discount a previous representative informed me of, but would "do me a favor." I was later told by another salesperson that this particular person was known to lie to customers. Since the return, I've been accused of not having returned a cleaning box associated with the purchase and was charged $40. I was told the return wouldn't be processed because of the cleaning box, which had been returned but not entered in the system. This dealing was with Anita Anzar who spoke me rudely. Then 10 days later, seeing no return, I had to go back into the store in order to actually speak to someone. At this point, I was told the couch was not entered as returned.

It is now three months past the date of purchase and my return has not been received. My latest dealing was with representative Tay to address her promise to me that I would receive the return no later than this past Wed. It is now Friday. I was told that it was processed with no offer to help further. At a complete loss of what to do as I have not received any return calls from the customer service line [corporate] either, I have to say that I will never purchase from Ashley Furniture again. This store in Ahwatukee has completely tainted and demolished Ashley's reputation. Futhermore, I will look for every opportunity to recommend that anyone I know does not purchase from Ashley Furniture. Ashley lost any business I would have given having just purchased a new home and any chance at a good referral.
