Danielle Patetz is the "registered" owner only because Darryl Johnson is a convicted felon and can't get a license! These people are under investigation by DPS in Texas where they sent FELONS door-to-door including a registered sex offender! AZ "sales people" include work release prisoners from jail! DONT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME!

    This is the truth. This company has no regard for protecting people. They do not not care about protecting you, but just getting you to sign the contract. They will pick anyone up off the street to work for them. Yes, FELONS and registered sex offenders going door to door. The owner is a CONVICTED FELON and that is why he does not own the company. THEY WILL SCREW THEIR CUSTOMERS, AND I HAVE SEEN IT. THEY WILL SCREW THEIR EMPLOYEES, AND I HAVE SEEN THAT TOO. THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR LAW!!!

    I was one of their employees that was denied getting his 5, 000 dollar back end check for selling security systems. I along with many other employees which totaled 750, 000 dollars in unpaid wages. None of us have the time or money to sue such a large company as this. There have been a few, but their dads were lawyers in Arizona, already able to practice and hire their dad in the suit. This is a dishonest company and very much so with the sly Darryl Johnson and the elusive Danielle Paletz.

    This is a company that has developed out of pure greed with no regard for its customers or "employee's" (independent contractors). I was there in the very early days of this company, while this was still a home based business, and can attest that many of the customers whom I installed security systems for were generally misinformed at the least and some were just blatantly lied to. The emphasis was always getting the contract signed and then keeping the customer happy for the 3 day grace period that they are legally allowed to cancel in.
    Keep in mind that over the years I was installing systems for them, this amounts to thousands of customers, of which maybe 10% were well informed and not going to end up feeling as though they had been screwed down the road. For one instance many customers are promised that they going to continue to pay the amount on the contact for the remainder of their service-------this is not true the rates will increase, typically after the first year. Although some of this fault lies with the person whom is signing the contract without reading, the sales force was generally pushed to get signed contracts what ever it required. Any dispute of these issues would result in verbal bulling and threat of legal action by Daryl Johnson, even if he was well knowing they were deceived into signing.
    Avoid working for/ doing business with these people, anyone that has not been burned by them yet just has not been around long enough... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

    I to was lied to by these crooks and I am filling a classaction law suite dyarl and his brother are nothing but con artist coke heads and need to be put behind bars

    It's crazy how they can keep screwing people over and stay in busniess I know for a fact that American Alarm is under Federal investgation and will me shut down very soon. I also heard that the owner is a convicted sex offender. When u see them coming to your door call 911 cuz chance is they are all tatoo up and are lieing thieves. Secure home is the best alarm company out thier in Arizona

    HEY AMERICAN ALARM DID YOU FORGET THAT CONTRACTS GO BOTH WAYS?!?!?
    You are required to provide adequate services, and you are not!

    American alarm will promise you all sorts of things in writing and won’t honor them. They lie about their monthly fee even... Their equipment is crap and they don’t pay their employees. This company should be shut down!!! The first month I had my system I received over 5 calls a day asking for a verbal agreement from me for services.. I told them I wouldn’t do it and that is not required in order to begin services... So they continued to call till I notified the BBB.org about what they were doing. I was told that I did not have to pay the city for the monitoring permit... WRONG... I got a letter with a fine attached to it stating I had to pay 89.00 in AZ in order to get my permit as my alarm went off before they got the permit needed to use the monitoring system. I called their customer service and in my area is 623-875-1230. I spoke to Silvia who preceded to CHEW ME OUT the customer the person who does service with them about giving up on getting my alarm fixed. I had several techs out to my house to fix the motion sensor and I had some one out there, they left the old unit and all the garbage on the floor for me to pick up. The tech that came out after that even commented that it was BS it was left on the floor. I am tired of fighting them and I am only 6 months in to my 3 year nightmare of a contract. I can’t believe they are allowed to operate in this state. It makes me wonder why a registered sex offender with out a driver’s license can run an alarm company that is meant to protect people from people like him. Isn’t that a conflict of interest? Wouldn't he be susceptible to accepting bribes and allowing peoples information to be exposed to individuals that should not be seeing it. He is not a responsible person and should not be given that privilege. I feel bad for the techs/salesman that did honest work for them and didn’t get paid... I encourage you to file a lawsuit... that’s the only way something will get done about this LOW LIFE DISPICABLE WASTE OF AN ALARM COMPANY.

    American Alarm's sloppy mishandling of contracts, elusive customer service and the fact they employ guerrilla sales tactics comparable to a snake oil salesman alone should make you not want to answer the door.
    I am in a battle with this company as well. They are terrible. I cannot seem to get Customer Service to call me back, but the Human Resources seems to like to respond well in the customer service arena. I have sent several letters in an attempt to cancel my contract, but they say the problems are just "oversights". My contract states "3 months free" and 39.99 after that. I have been charged 42.16 and received no months free. I asked why they are charging me more and they are still trying to get back to me on that. Apparently this %5.4 sales tax applied (% of change in the amounts) is some phantom charge from Texas. I was told by the sales person I could cancel my account if I had to move and another alarm system was already active. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that never happened.
    I was reading on another website a response Daryl had given a rebuttal to a complaint regarding not paying his sales force correctly, and I found it humorous. He stated he couldn't help it if his sales people lie and he is stuck with the repercussions of the sales transactions. Then another defense argument in regards to a landlord not being able to get out of a contract Daryl's sleazy salesman conned them into singing, he stated "get what the sales say written on the contract". This seems to be a poor training environment and terrible leadership. I deal with sales all the time and never had to deal with this.

    American Alarm in Sacramento, CA has the same disregard for any kind of business and/or work ethics with their 'so called employees' that they never pay or train and throw them out to go door to door without training or licensing and push for appointments. I can personally testify to this and I have proof in text messages and emails.
