Ally Auto Financial Services / customer service and extra payments


I made an extra payment online last month and they actually took the interest off of it! I called customer service and after being hung up on after the first call was told that when I want to make an extra payment I have to call and let them know! This means I have to call, type in my acct number, sit there for who knows how long waiting for someone to answer, then give the representative the acct. number that I just typed in plus my name, WHOLE address, phone number, and last 4 of my social. All just to tell them that I made an EXTRA payment online so I wont be charged interest on it. I asked why they didn't just include that as an option online and was told to leave a message with the survey after she got off the line. I waited 10 min listening to the music and then was hung up on AGAIN!!!
