American International Group [AIG] Aig never paid my claim.. Insured's deductible never released for my damages.

Ideal Transport Inc. moved my new Volvo from Virgina to Colorado 04/29 thru 05/03, and they damaged the hood of the car. Their insurance company AIG Lexington did nothing to help me recover the $1800. damage to my car as it was within the insured's deductible. Faith Wayne was the AIG adjuster who said I must recover the damages myself - working with Ideal Transport. Inc. The insured simply refused to pay for the damage saying, 'its just a couple of little dents and scrapes'. Only way for me to recover is to sue them; Ideal Transport Inc. has never responded to any email or phone attempt to contact them; the only time I ever spoke with them was when Larry @ Ideal Trans. called me to ask why I opened a case with the FMCSA/NCCDB. I have no recourse but to use whatever resource I have to make the case heard - which is why I am writing this now. Call me anytime; Mike Holmes in Golden Colorado 303.913.2115.

American International Group [AIG] Travel Insurance

After speaking with United before booking a trip for my mother and I, we booked insurance through your company to cover the trip incase something happened and we needed to cancel. We unfortunately had to cancel but be cause we weren't going to a terrorist country, she didn't die, get fired etc. our claim was denied.

It's completely unacceptable and unbelievable that the unfortunate unforeseen financial issue of a 60 year old woman does not qualify to cover the claim we submitted. This is putting my family further into financial troubles because we needed the money back to help cover her expenses.

Desired outcome: We need the claim to be accepted and the trip refunded.

American International Group [AIG] Extended warranty on whirlpool appliance

AIG underwrites extended warranties for Whirlpool. I was solicited by Whirlpool/AIG for an extended warranty on a refrigerator located in a house I purchased. At the conclusion of the initial term, I was solicited for a renewal, which I also took.

During this second term, my refrigerator needed service. When I contacted Whirlpool/AIG to get service, I was informed that my refrigerator was too old, that the sale of the extended warranty had been deemed a "bad sale," and that I would not be able to use the coverage I had paid for - across 2 policies.

Whirlpool/AIG had the specific model and serial number of my appliance, from day one of my extended warranty coverage. With this information, Whirlpool/AIG had every piece of information it needed to know exactly the age of my refrigerator - on any individual day.

Had my refrigerator not needed service, Whirlpool/AIG would have been only too happy to keep my money. Only when I needed service was I told that I could not get service and would be given some refund of partial cost of the policy.

Desired outcome: I want service on my refrigerator, as agreed in my policy. Or, Whirlpool/AIG can provide me a comparable replacement.

American International Group [AIG] Whirlpool oven/microwave wall unit

I am in the 4th year of an extended warranty for my oven microwave model WOC54Ec0AS04 sn D81215349. The entire unit stopped working on 10/10/22 The service code was F6E8. On 10/28 Dan Marc’s Appliance repair came out and said the computer needed to be replaced. On 11/7 he replaced the computer it didn’t work. He spoke to the service dept and ordered a new one. On 11/14 he replaced it a second time. It still didn’t work. He said it needed a filter and a sensor. On 12/6 he installed filter and sensor. The microwave worked but the oven did not heat above 190 degrees.. I made an appt for 12/10. The next day the entire unit stopped working again and the same code F6E8 came up that he said indicated the computer needed to be replaced the first time. I called AIG and spoke with Linda who told me these 4 appts are considered one claim and I need a minimum of AT LEAST 4 claims before they would replace the unit. (The warranty says 3). I am a senior citizen on temporary disability without access to an oven or microwave for going on 3 months through Thanksgiving and Christmas. This will be the 3rd time replacement of the SAME PART part that has NEVER WORKED. In fact, the unit has never heated to the proper temperature and it cooks unevenly. (See the photo below). Both Linda and her manager Cassandra were unhelpful, unsympathetic and unprofessional to to the extent that I went from calm to irate. I would like my unit replaced before Christmas and I have to escalate this complaint to whoever I need to including the CEO and board chair of AIG and Whirlpool until someone other than Cassandra helps me resolve this quickly. American International Group [AIG] Correct birthdate/rollover funds

I changed jobs in late July and have been trying to roll over my 403b since, with no success. I initially requested the forms in July and never received them. When I was able to follow up in October, I was informed that my DOB was incorrect and given an email address to submit a photo id. I did this and then a week later, requested the rollover forms. When the forms finally arrived, my DOB was still incorrect. I called again and was told that they didn't know why my DOB correction hadn't gone through yet and to call back the next week. I called the next week and they were able to tell me right away that I needed to submit a signature for the correction to go through. I was told if I sent it before 3pm that day, it would be processed within 24 hours. I submitted a signature by 1:45. I called 2 days later and it still has not been fixed. Now, it has been 3 more business days on top of that and it still hasn't gone through. I work during AIG business hours so all my calls are done on my lunch break. The lack of communication and follow through from AIG has been terrible and I would love to be compensated for the at least 3 hours I have spent on phone calls with AIG trying to get this taken care of.

Desired outcome: Update my DOB, send me the rollover papers with the correct DOB so that I can take my retirement accounts far away from AIG, reimbursement for my time of 3 hours at $40/hour for the hours I've spent trying to get this taken care of.

American International Group [AIG] Extended warranty of a whirlpool range not being honored

I had an extended warranty for my whirlpool range from AIG. The appliance either would not heat up or indicated a temperature that was way above (200+ degree above) the actual temperature. Although this happened intermittently, it happened often enough (every couple of days or so when we used the oven). AIG refused to send someone out because they claimed that the problem had to be reproducible when the technician is out and also that the problem was not a functional problem. And they said that this condition was in the contract. To me it was complete [censored] to avoid honoring a contract which was meant to repair an appliance when they no longer function as they should be. How can an oven that was 200 degree below be considered a functional appliance? And do I have to wait until the oven absolutely would not heat up until I can have it fixed? What if the oven stays this way for month and years? How can you cook bread and pastries with random temperatures? DO NOT BUY ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY CONTRACT FROM AIG. Any honorable company would have tried to fix it for me. It was most likely a problem with the temperature sensor. And they could have sent someone out to replace it even if it happens to be a 'good oven day' when the technician comes.

Desired outcome: Get someone out to repair the range, or refund the full cost of the warranty. Or help those who hasn't buy a warranty yet to stay away from a bad company.

American International Group [AIG] Fixed Annuities

AIG has terrible customer service, and I would advise against doing annuity business with them. I recently made a call to the Annuity Service center on Friday 3:00 pm and they were having their end of shift party. It was that intense with shouting and yelling in the background that it was just about impossible to hear the agent. They were not willing to make a minor adjustment and had no problem-solving skills. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN AND GET WHAT EVER

I made arrangements for a supervisor to help solve minor problem and had no results. Their attitude is "TOO BAD" you must take the error and they would not try to resolve?

I made arrangements for a manager to call back and had the same results. She had terrible interpersonal skills and was both by me. Their attitude is "TOO BAD" you must take the error and they would not try to resolve?

STAY AWAY FROM AIG, COREBRIDGE AND BE WARNED

Desired outcome: Work in earnest to solve a $50 problem and don't be callus. At least pretend to care.It is actually a very small problem and they just don't care.

American International Group [AIG] Travel Guard Pol # [protected], Laurence Johnson and Josee Lemieux

Dear Sir or Madam:

This is a more of a request for reconsideration than a complaint regarding the position AIG has adopted on my request for a refund of the premium for travel policy [protected] which I took out on 28 June 2021. This was for a cruise which was canceled last month due to Baltic regional security issues and Russian involvement in the cruise line. I paid $963.94 and with no trip to insure, request that AIG refund my premium. Instead, and at this point, AIG only offers a credit for the next 2 years, an offer that does not fit our travel plans of which there are none for the coming years.

• I bought this policy on 28 June 2021 for a cruise from Finland to Oslo 27 May to 10 June 2022. I chose AIG over the insurance offered by the cruise company because I believed it to be a better policy administered professionally. However I find that fellow travelers who bought the company policy are reimbursed which makes me wonder if the perceived advantages were worth the situation I'm now facing;

• I learned that the trip was canceled on/about Friday afternoon, 20 May in a phone call;

• The following Monday, 23 May, I called the 800 number listed on the Travel Guard policy printout I was sent. I spoke with a customer service person who I informed of the situation and the policy information and she asked questions in return. I believed that was the correct thing to do although the most recent correspondence from AIG (10 June) indicates that there’s no “…notation in the policy file”;

• On 3 June, not having heard back, I called the same 800 number and then wrote an email on 6 June reiterating what I had requested on the phone call;

• I received a refusal email in return on 8 June which I answered on 8 June;

• This was refused in a 9 June email which I answered on the same date;

• Finally, on 10 June yet another refusal to reimburse appeared accompanied by an offer of a travel voucher which as I’ve said, we’re unable to use.

I've always thought that AIG has a good reputation with the military, certainly where life insurance is concerned. So you’ll understand that after 26 years in the US Army and at age 77, I’m just not the traveler I once was. Insurance is important to me and with my health considerations, the money is far more important than a voucher that we can’t use. Please don’t misunderstand me – I’m grateful for the offer of a voucher but under the circumstances, I respectfully ask that you review and reconsider this request for a refund. I can provide scans of the emails if needed.

American International Group [AIG] AGI insurance

I have an IRA with AIG and every year you get a time frame to make changes

This year AIG e-mails telling me I have until 05/31 /2022 to make changes. Long story short they will not let me make changes. I'm older person that feels AGI is taking advantage of me by not letting make changes to policy. If you E-mail AGI, they send you a message that they do not respond to you. I tried to use their web- site and it does not function as it should. They do not respond by pone either. You are treated by AGI as a 2nd class citizen. AGI take your hard-earned money and you have no input, and you lose money .

Desired outcome: Let me make changes as needed as a see fit.

American International Group [AIG] Travel Insurance

On 02/06/2022, we were scheduled to fly to Cabo San Lucas. The flight was paid, the all-inclusive was paid, and out trip insurance was paid. On 02/05/2022, 13 hours before schedule departure, out flight was canceled. After 4 hours on hold with the airlines, I was finally able to rebook our flight for 02/07/2022. We had to pay for an extra night at the hotel in Indianapolis, and lost a night at our hotel in Cabo. When I submitted a well-documented claim to AIG, I was told it was not a trip delay due to the time frame, but a trip cancellation, so they denied the claim. I purchased this insurance through Expedia. According to their website:

This plan also provides coverage if you got delayed and missed a night of

your hotel stay.

I fell this is a misrepresentation and a scam by AIG.

I have previously submitted documentation of expenses.

Desired outcome: Cash reimbursement for $595.59 total out of pocket expenses

American International Group [AIG] Travel insurance is a fraudulent gambit

On October 28th, 2021, I made arrangements to go and see my now husband in his home country of Canada. It was supposed to be a low-key affair, just us having fun and hanging out and taking cooking classes together. However, everything changed when I lost my passport. It suddenly turned into a, "how am I going to get back home?" kind of affair, and I was thankful that I had purchased travel protection because I would inevitably miss my flight and stay an extra day in an overpriced hotel in the airport. I figured that it would all be okay though, because I had gotten the travel protection and they would reimburse me because this was an unforeseen event. I go to submit the claim and after nearly a month of waiting, my claim was denied on the grounds that this wasn't truly an unforeseen event.

Now I'm no expert in insurance. Heck, I barely know a thing about my own. But I think that AIG and many other insurance companies count on my own instance being the experience of the majority. That is, they don't want you to know what you're covered for so they can turn around and deny you. This is quite frankly a conniving way to run any business, but one that I paid for and then saw nothing of? This can't stand.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement for the full amount that I had to spend (totaling nearly $1000) and explanation of coverage prominently displayed in plain language (not "legalese").

American International Group [AIG] Travel Insurance

After over 20 years buying their travel insurance, I filed a claim and they haven't paid. A flight SJO to PTY where I had the Panama Health Pass, Boarding Pass and Seat Assignment. But a QR Code was added to the Panama Health Pass and it would not let me get it a second time. Clearly covered as stated in their policy. But they are asking me to call a US Number. I do not have a phone to call and besides am Mute. So only texting is possible. And e-mail serves better. But I will never purchase AIG Insurance again nor use their partner in crime Expedia again. In fact I will be boycotting all US based businesses and products and influencing all my collogues in at least 10 countries to do the same. I pity anyone having a medical claim and not getting immediate okay to proceed at the hospital. Simply a scam. Airlines themselves offer better flight protection and having AIG negates their better protection.

Desired outcome: Foyr a Class Action Law Suit to put their scamming company out of business., and corporate officers put in prison. Personally no compensation to me would be adequate at this point

American International Group [AIG] Burial information

Our mother passed away, Saturday January 29th, 2022. Had to travel in from out of state. Went to the funeral home to find out that she had be duped into signing her insurance policies to a distant relative out of state. Needing to be able to proceed, the funeral home (for validity), myself, and others attempt to contact the person multiple times to no avail. Not certain if they are even alive. Attempted to contact AIG in terms of what might be the next best course of action. Sales answers immediately. Have been waiting a grand total of about 35 minutes in attempting to get some help from AIG when it is really needed. Reflects how little concern they have for customers at a very difficult time.

Desired outcome: We simply want to bury our mother under the policy that has been fully paid. Situation unprecedented even relatively common.

This is absolutely unacceptable response and answer from your end to this claim. It is the responsibility of the any Insurance company to assist their client in such situations when traveling and to another country and that's the reason a Travel Insurance is purchased at the cost given by AIG.

I will certainly take this issue up to the Consumer Complaints and Dubai Economic Dept in UAE on my return back. I feel Im not treated right and especially as a UAE Resident and I feel AIG is misleading customers and I will also file a complaint at your HEAD Office in USA.

As a dedicated AIG Customer and always having used your Travel Insurance all these years I am disappointed and upset with your service and assistance and you have lost a dedicated client for doing any further business with AIG.

I will definitely bring this to the attention of many AIG Customers and Clients that have being misled by your Terms and Services.

Greetings.

Upon further review and as per the police report we have noted that you checked out of The Grove Resort hotel on the 21.011.2021 and realized that the carry on bag was left behind in the room. Upon Collecting the bag from The Grove Resort hotel you realized that USD 1100 was stolen/missing.

Please see below policy wording:-

PERSONAL MONEY
We will reimburse, subject to any Excess and up to the amount stated in the Travel Insurance Certificate, for Loss of money belonging to You and arising out of robbery, burglary, or theft while money is in Your care, custody, and control.

Special Notification of Claim:
Such Loss must be reported within 24 (twenty-four) hours after its discovery to the police having jurisdiction at the place of the Loss. Any claim must be accompanied by official written documentation from the police.

As per the above extract from the policy wording theft/loss of money is only covered when the money is in the custody of the Insured. We have noted that the money was stolen as the carry on bag was left behind in the hotel due to which the money was stolen, which unfortunately does not meet the conditions of this policy as per the terms & conditions.

Owing to this, we regret to inform you that we are unable to return a favorable response to your claim as the loss is not within the applicable coverage under the issued policy resulting in the closure of this claim. We consider this a lost opportunity to serve you.

American International Group [AIG] Travel Insurance

I am looking to get a reimbursement for travel insurance purchased on 9/15/2021 when I booked my flight through Travelocity on Jet Blue airlines.
I understand that there is a 15 day window to cancel the insurance without being penalized.

On October 24th, Jet Blue adjusted my flight schedule and that unfortunately could not accomodate my schedule, so I had to cancel the flight and rebook on another airlines. Jet Blue refunded the flight but when I contacted AIG to cancel the policy, I was told that it was outside of the 15 day window and reimbursment was denied.

My claim is that I had no control over the flight reschedule and feel a reimbursment is in order.

However, this was repeatedly denied. So I am paying for insurance on a flight that was reschedule and out of my control.

Desired outcome: I would like a full reimbursement.

American International Group [AIG] Monthly rate increase without notification

Just got off the phone with Malcolm agent # 1039511, I have just been totally blindsided. I have had my policy for 21 years, with an automatic payment with drawl every month of $275.00 . That's $69, 300.00 roughly, I was informed that my policy would lapse on October 31, 2021 if I didn't pay a fee of $1, 343.73 they started, an I quote "we encourage you to resume/increase your premium or loan payments, if applicable, to the amount that sufficiently covers the monthly insurance costs and/or the loan balance." My policy had death value of $200, 000.00 I took out a cash advance of some years back of about $25, 000.00. Now they subtractEd that amount from the face amount which left the face amount of $175, 000.00, I understand that, then I took out a loan for $3, ooo.oosome odd dollars in 2017. They show my policy now having a face amount of $166, 415.00 which I understand the $3.000 was deducted from the face amount. She informed me that my monthly payment was raised to $385.00 due to an increase for my insurance and the &1, 343.73 was the difference between $275.00 and $385.00. NEVER WAS I INFORMED OF THIS, plus they continued to only take out $275.00 a month for the premium. I'm sorry, but after staying on the phone for approximately 45 minutes, I can't help believe that they just want to cancel my policy due to not having to pay the face amount at my death. Please help me as this policy is for my wife of 50 years. Billy j. Hogg policy #[protected] thank you.

American International Group [AIG] Customer service to solve the issue with the hold on cc

I have 2 cards I received from aig insurance for the pay out of my refrigerator, one never made it to my house, and was used, I called and they replaced it sent it to me without no balance on my card, the second one I just activated and when I went to use it, it was blocked I couldn't use is, I have made so many attempts to solve the issue never got any help, each phone call I make I get to be transferred to so many agents with no help at all, I wait on each call minim 40 minutes. It's easier to get to a governor than to one of the bank agents to help, the worst service i've ever had in my life. Every time I call I get my blood pressure to the sky cause of the way you treat your customers. Will never recommend boa to no one, I will also file a complaint to BBB.

American International Group [AIG] Unethical and illegal behavior

I had 6 accounts at VALIC, 3 403B, 2 Retirement and 1 457B. I received minimum distribution payments on the first 5 in automatic bank deposits and the final 457B payment was mailed to me. I wanted information about taxes withheld on all accounts because the stated percentages and my calculations do not tie to the net amount deposited and I needed the information to calculate estimated tax payments for 2021. My paper check from VALIC was for the net amount but lacked any detail. After repeated attempts to obtain that information, it is not available in any of my accounts and has still not been provided to me. I would think this information would be routinely provided and immediately available to their customers. I did receive papers in the mail that look as if they are printed from an Excel spreadsheet without any VALIC letterhead or headings. These may show transactions but there is still no tax information. As a former auditor who has dealt with federal embezzlement cases I find this troubling.

VALIC closed the 457B immediately after the final payment and I am unable to obtain any information about how the close out was processed. I do not believe it is ethical or legal to terminate access to a closed account so that you can not see what was done. I am told this is their routine practice and the information will be in the April quarterly statement.

Furthermore, after numerous attempts I have been unable to obtain a 2020 1099 for the 457B account. The other tax documents are online and have been mailed to me. When I call the operators argue with me that what I want is the 2021 form and it is not available. I held for a supervisor but after a sufficient wait I gave up. One person told me if I elected electronic emails, I could see and print the form. It is not there and never has been. I have been told they will follow up and mail me a form in 7-10 business days. However, after approximately five calls trying to solve this, I have no faith and am concerned about filing my 2020 taxes.

I submitted a hospital claim against my AIG policy on the 07/07/2020. To date this claim have not been been sorted out to my satisfaction. I also requested a copy of my policy which to date I have not received, despite various requests to Masiya Dou, Sharon Botoulas and today to the call centre.

AIG being an international company customer service is in shambles.

Will not recommend to anybody and whoever has a hospital plan with AIG please take note of this service.

There always seems to be a problem with their phone lines, I get cut off in the middle of conversations with no decency to return your call despite being vetted for every call.

I certainly will be cancelling my policy and bye bye to a long standing client, and one more issue customer service will not give you details of their CEO.

HORRIBLE INSURANCE! Do not waste your money with AIG. Never trust this insurance, because when its time for claims. They don't want to deal with you.

My husband paid for his insurance everysingle month except the month when is was dying. They told me to pay for that month to be current, so I can claim the money. Now this heartless company refuse to pay me. SCAM!

American International Group [AIG] refused to my request for a cash surrender of my term life starting in 2007.

I purchased my term life insurance back in the early 1970's from AGI agent Frank Copeland from their Greensboro office. Since than I've found out he's been transferred to Ohio where he retired from. In 2005 I was contacted via agent Kathleen Paulin (agent code 0548). She stated that she was my new agent and reviewed my policy with me and my wife. At that time she went over options with us and was to contact us in 6 months for our discussion. That was the last time we heard from her. In 2007 I sent her a letter stating that I wanted to buy a $100, 000.00 whole life policy and surrender the balance for the surrender cash value. She still did not respond. After my house burnt in 2007 I wrote her yet another letter stating that this time I wanted to surrender the term policy for the surrendering cash value. She still did not respond. Then I found out AIG moved out of Greensburg, disconnected their phones, and left town. They did not send out any notification, new phone number, or tell me whether I had a new agent. In the past ten years AIG has not responded to any of my letters or faxes.
