I ordered a trial bottle for $3.95. When i got my bank statement they had charged my account $87.13. I have tried several times to e-mail their [protected]@acaiburn.com and they say they will get back within 48-72 hours. Thas has been two weeks. I have emailed them again, no response. This is a scam. Dont give them any credit or bank information!

I have been on the acai for 14 days when I noticed that they had charged my account $79.99. I called them and got thru. The gentleman that answered my call was rude and when I asked for his manager he hung up on me. I called back and got the supervisor who informed me that I could not get my money back because it was already taken out. I told her that her add said that it was a 30 day free trial and 100% money back guarentee if not satisfied so why was I not getting my money back. She told me that they would remove me from future shippings and that's all she could do. I informed her that I would be contacting the better business bureau. My bank informed me that I could file this complaint with the claims department and I would get my money back. But the BBB can't seem to find this business?

I'm afraid it is authorised, check their terms and conditions hidden at the bottom of their website this is what i did as of the 09/08/2009:

I also obtained their employee numbers and names and i recorded the telephone call, stating at every opportunity that they will not be billing my credit card in future and that auto shipping has been cancelled, they confirmed with a ‘yes’ i'd like to add that i was suspious about my email address given to them as the email 'livechat', did not get sent, but luckily i printed a version and sent it to an alternative email address and low and behold it went through there, i only suspected that there is some block so you cannot email proof of conversations, also i contacted everyone in my address book as i suspect that acaiburn will hack into it and sent spam to everyone, so i immediately sent a message about them to everyone on my mailling list, just to cover that, i read the terms and conditions and they state that they can give our details to third party companys, so i'm expecting a barrage of calls from telesales! i will only answer the phone with a caller id now.

i think i covered everything, you need to be shrewd with these people. collect as much information about your cancellation for your credit card company, this was all done within 3 days of filling in the registration form, so i don't expect any comeback!

btw any call from the uk please be sure to phone between 1pm and 2 am or the call will come back as 'temporarity disconnected' i have also contacted the consumer programme 'Watchdog@ I WILL WATCH THIS SPACE, AND KEEP YOU INFORMED OF ANY CHANGES

The credit card company will have to honour any subscriptions, please get proof of cancellation, cancelling your credit card may not be enough!

i would like to add there is an opt-out option at the bottom of their web page, check their privacy policy, it says if you opt out they will not give out your personal information so please unsubscribe i did this and also did it through 'livechat' specifically requesting that they remove my email address and telephone number, whist i copied and pasted the opt-out/unsubscribe details within their privacy policy. again i emailled a copy to an alternative address and prited a copy as proof.

Try emailing support@wu-yisource.com with your shippers number which was emailed to you upon ordering the item. This email is associated with Wu-Yi, C/O BTB Mailflight ltd, Unit 2b Vidking Industrial Estate, Hudson Road, Bedford MK41 0QB. Who store the Acaiproduct and despatch it out the to UK customers. This is also the return address, if you choose to return the product.

I received my item a week to the day of ordering. However i returned the product the same day, as i do not wish to be a member of company who deploys such ruthless tactics. There are legitimate organisations out there who sell the Acai Berry product, who do sign customers up for continual payments. The repeat ordering is the sole responsibility of the customer.

I received my Acaiberry product today 08-Aug-09. I placed the order on 01-Aug-09, I am surprised that it took a week. But I noticed that the items were not shipped from the states as we are led to believe they have been shipped from Wu-Yi, C/o BTB MAILFLIGHT Ltd, Unit 2B, Viking Industrial Estate, Hudson Road, Bedford MK41 0QB. From the UK.

So it looks like the Acaiburn has a storage facility in the UK where just get the items despatched. Possibly even had the product manufactured in the or shipped in bulk quantities some time ago. What excuse do they have to charge outside of US customers an additiona $9, 95 on top of $4.95 for shipping. When they are being despatched from within the UK to UK customers.

Also, I just wanted to note if you are using a bank card refunds can take up to 30 days. I would call back and ask for the 'Payment ID' of the refund. It's just a silly number on their end but it proves they processed the payment.

This is a common problem for bad companies selling the Acai products- there are many. As a website owner myself selling Acai products seller like the one you encountered is giving us good sellers a bad name. We do not offer auto ship an auto-ship program or give free acai bottles to lure customers in. We sell high quality products at a reasonable price at http://www.bathhousenaturals.com As for your problem contact your credit card company and dispute the credit card charges. Also email the company that you purchased from and tell them to refund you and take you off their auto ship program which is what you signed up for and gave them permission to charge your card when you accepted the free bottle of Acai. Tell them if this does not get resolved promptly you will contact your states attorney and file a complaint against them. Hopefully this will help get your problem resolved. Be sure to keep an eye on your credit card statements, so no other charges occur.

i have been told by my bank, if acaiburn do not deliver the products within 30days, then the bank can action a Charge Back request to Acaiburn and automatically claim the money back and credit your account back the initial $79.95 (£47.02). in a way it would be better not to receive the items, then you dont have to worry about returning the darn things and paying for postage and you will end up getting a full reimbursement by your bank.

Ensure you have contacted your bank at the earliest convenience so that they maintain a record and dates of your actions, it all helps.

I received my trial pack and my account was charged for the trial price. BUT I was not informed when they charged the full price after the trial period. BAD PRACTICE.

So when I received a 3 month pack with NO INVOICE I decided that was enough! I am returning the pack with letter of cancellation AND they cannot get any more money from my account because I have cancelled my credit card.

If I hear from them anything more than acknowledgement of my cancellation the letter will be forwarded to my bank's fraud department. Who ar now aware of the company!

I am another Brit who has been caught by Acaiburn and despite contact with them and having agreed to end membership when I realised I could not afford to remain a member. They are still taking membership fees from my bank account...my bank seems powerless to stop the payments. They are only small amounts but they do add up.

I got the same experience. I am so tired of this Acai burn stuff. I had to cancel 3 things that I did not even know where it's from. It is just very very disappointing! They are scam ! Let me give you guys the number to cancel 9.95 membership (comprehenship weigh lost):[protected] and te other one is webentry something : 1-[protected]. I just did it today to cancel those charge. Hope there will no charge in the future. They will not refund !

This company must be stopped ! I know Opra is trying to do somthing (get invloved go to Opra's web page you can leave compleints there too to help others get their money back ) but thats not enough our justice system needs to get involed, find the people who are doing this and put a stop to their illagal activaty. The AciBurn company is using misleading advertising, I have been on the site and no where does it mention or expline how much they are going to charge they simply show the $3 postage cost in massive writing as if thats all they will charge, I have never seen a better case of misleading advertsing. I Even saw the add on facebook ! why are such reputable sites allowing scamsters like them to advertise. They have also been using other companys logo's unlawfuly apart from Opra's are ABC, NBC and CNN as if to say that these networks endorse their product. They do not and AciBurn is using these logos on some of their promotional sites without permission. I cannot contact these networks easily as I am in the UK and they are USA based, but would appreciate if some one in the USA took the time to submitt complainets to these networks to let them know that their reputable names are being used to help scam innocents out of money.

What I have learned from by anything online with a credit card is that you never use a credit card to pay for purchases online. Especially if it is a one-time purchase.

These companies know that most of the time Americans are using credit cards to shop. My suggestions is to use cash..yes cash. Have a checking acct. from your bank and get a debit card..just that simple. Use that one debit card just for shopping online. Let's be smart people!

I used my debit card to purchase this product and the company tried to double charge me for the product and they just felt really dumb when they could not get any money out of me, because I only put what I am going to spend online in this acct. nothing more. The bank had no choice but to rectify the transaction.

Although this a problem..with ordering the ACAIBURN product. I finally got it but does anyone know if it actually works? That's what I want to know.

I found this link when I was trying to find out more about this company. Apparently Acaiburn is owned by a bigger company that runs all sorts of scams similar to this one. Although I do think this is a scam, I do wish more people would read the terms and conditions of the "trials" everyone signed up for (including myself). If everyone read carefully there wouldn't be much of a problem and this company would most likely be bankrupt.

I too ordered Acaiburn and cancelled within the 14 day trial and was charged 59.95, plus 6.95 for their tips website another 9.95 for membership fees and $1 then another $1 for my credit card transactions. Which they state are in the terms and conditions and to the right of the page when you put your credit card info in. Til this day still haven't found the $1 fees anywhere on their website. And the reps keep insisting it is there but can not tell me where. How convienent for them. Imagine charging every purchaser $1. They are making millions on that alone. I called my credit card company to dispute the charges and were given the credit back since I had the cancellation #.

Tell it the monthly payments are “unauthorised transactions” as then, under the Banking Code (which most card providers are members of) it’s its responsibility to sort it out. It may mean Visa, Mastercard or American Express, the companies behind the electronic payments process, are called in by the card provider.”

I am from england and have had the same trouble with this company taking money from my account without my permission, however I have contacted my credit card and they have agreed to deal with this and hopefully I will get a refund of all monies taken watch this space . IT'S A BIG SCAM TO GET YOUR MONEY.

Add me (via my wife) to the list. She ordered it and told me about it so I looked it up online and immediately I had her cancel it. First we got the 4.95 charge which I was OK with. Now, even though we canceled immediately, we have gotten 3 subsequent charges, another for 4.95 for a product called "insider secretes" and one for 9.95 called "food stores" that once I called about are called "Bonuses" for signing up for acaiburn.com. They supposedly have now canceled these too but are refusing to refund what they already charged me even though I have never herd of or signed up for these other projects. The third charge is a big one (59.95) even though she immediately canceled this. I am going to dispute these charges with my CC company.

I agree I had the same thing happen to me, I spoke to about 8 represantives in the company and I read the whole web page before ordering. I want to find this fine print they talk about were it says I authorized it because I still cannot find it. Whats worse is that I was looking forward to trying the product I have not received it yet I just ordered it two days ago. Im seriously thinking of going to Oprah.

my god, they did the same thing to me, they singed me up to 2 other deals and said that I could cancel the "auto shipment progamme, but that they would still charge me for the first bottle about 60 GBP or around 59 US dollers. I contacted the add on deals by phone they were easy to cancel, but the acei burn membership had to be canceled via an online advisor because the numbers for them did not work, I have got cancelation numbers for all. But what a scam they are most likely going to make 60 pounds out of me when all I wanted was to try their product for 4 dollars ! This company is misadvertising and need to stop jilting, hoodwinking people ! I have canceld my debit card today, but my bank says that they still may be able to get money due to the fact that once they get your card number they have your sort code and account number which means they can still swipe mony, this is so not worth the stress I have done the best I can to stop them from getting hold of my mony, please this is a warning to let you know what you are getting into if you try this, I hope they get stopped.

Huge Ripoff! I am disgusted! I wish there was a way that we could let more people know. After I found out that I was being scammed I Googled AcaiBurn for consumer warnings and I didn't come across this site until the 3rd search page. When I tried to look them up on the BBB website, I couldn't find them because their headquarters are located out of some island close to Europe. Crazy!

i was chared for a second lot 2 days after i got free trial canceled repeated phone calls still waiting for my money back posted free sample back told i would get my money 1 week to 10 days still no money now it is 21 days after its proscessed dont know when that is keep asking for my phone no they havent phoned i want my money now credit card company said chat on line to someone but i got this sight and 1 to buy more i dont want thatjust my money back now

All of it is a scam, I tried 3 times to cancel the product before my 'trial period' was over but of course they got me for the $59.95 and still have not recieved the product (3weeks ago) and the web-based help site says you can cancel anytime but leave you on hold over 30mins (i have phone logs!). i went to live chat to cancel and she said it was all taken care of and then check my bank account and they hit me for another $6.95 They twist truth to scam $7 at a time from people! I want to make sure I have written this complaint everywhere I can !

The same thing just happened to me. I called the 800 number and they say that i will be refunded.. Just have to see. with in 3 weeks. the pills did not work. actually made me gain weight in my stomach and very tired all the time. I do not recommend this product. I purchased AcaiBurn for the 4.95 price. it was shipped and i was so excited when i got it. I recieved another 4.95 charge last week so i called the number on my online banking statement and cancelled whatever that was. Today i recieved the charge for 59.95 and you better believe I was on the phone. I first called the number and had them cancel the whatever that was and the lady told me that to recieve my money back i would have to wait for the product to ship back and then 14 to 20 business days after that. I called my bank and they closed out my debit card and issued me a new one. This is a total scam. The product kinda works but the company behind it is BS! Good thing i caught it before they really ripped me. I work at a law firm and i still got scammed! These people are FRAUDULENT!

These people are completely ruthless I paid via credit card it said free pp ... then went on to charge my credit card £50 when I called the company they said that this was for delivery if I didnt want the product when it came to post back and they would refund ... it came from UK unmarked ! they wanted it sent back UPS to USA ... then started taking £45 a month, I finally had to cancel my card and write off over £400 this is disgraceful something should be done ...

i have had the same thing happen to me it has taken 4 months for me to get phone numbers i have rang them and they said no more money will be taken out of my account lets hope they dont. if anyone is interested the numbers to ring are [protected] this is for a subscription for insiders secrets they said i signed up to that even though i know i never the other is [protected] this is for comprehensive weight loss programme yet again i never signed up for this but as soon as you click on the to things they sign you up and take money.if anyone is having the same problem as im having contact these numbers and cancle with them to. hope this will help someone to stop being ripped off, good luck to you all.

When you send your portion of the pills back not to be charged make sure the use a return receipt with the insured as well. This way when they charge you after they have already received the pills you can PROVE they received them and on what date.

I did the same thing thinking i was just paying for a free trial i received 1 bottle of them and the same day received my credit card bill they have taken a total of 78 pounds from my account when i phoned them waiting for 15 mins to get through she told me some ### and bull storey saying read the information on the site i never received any trial from them just this 1 bottle and she says its for shipping and all other cost so what is FREE? nothing i have been totally ripped off now she says i have to phone 2 other companys to cancel this which is also in America so huge phone bills too. PLEASE do not order from them they rip you off.
