I ordered a trial bottle for $3.95. When i got my bank statement they had charged my account $87.13. I have tried several times to e-mail their [protected]@acaiburn.com and they say they will get back within 48-72 hours. Thas has been two weeks. I have emailed them again, no response. This is a scam. Dont give them any credit or bank information!

Acaiburn called me 3 times in one morning a few days ago, this is after I had already cancelled my membership. I still do not know if I will continue to be billed on future statements, but I have disputed them. The phone call was to ask me if I wanted to upgrade my membership! Unbelievable! When I finally spoke with a supervisor, he advised me "That will teach me in the future to read all of the fine print before signing up for something". I am sure you all know what I wanted to say back, but I held my tongue. Let them bill me by mail.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Neena'

Neena: Thank you for chatting with AcaiBurn. May I know, whom am I chatting with?

you: I cancelled my account after 3 days and nwo i see a charge on my credit card, how do i get this reversed and make sure i have been cancelled? I hesitate to clal the attorney general and get my banks fraud department involved.

you: My name is Bridget williams

you: a 59.95 charge on my card that i never authorized

Neena: Could you please provide me your email address and phone number, you used to order our product. So that, I can pull up your details?

you: My emaila ddress is:

you: Mi@comcast.net, phone number is and my order number was 10

you: 865-

Neena: Please wait for few moments, while I locate your transaction.

Neena: We have charged you $4.95 on Mar 31, 2009 for the shipping and handling and you has been charged $59.95 on Apr 21, 2009 for the cost the pills that we have sent you.

Neena: You have been removed from the auto ship program and you will not be receiving any further shipments. As per the Terms and Conditions you agreed to before placing your order, your card has been charged the discounted rate of $59.95 for the first shipment of the amazing acai burn product after the completion of the trial period.

Neena: Your cancellation # is

Neena:

Neena: We honour your request but unfortunately we are unable to process that via live chat because of your privacy and security reasons.

Neena: You can call our member support staff at our toll-free number for all refund or return information: [protected].

you: i have already called that 4 times. I will now proceed to file charges with y banks fraud & theft department as well as the attorney general

Neena: There might be some technical problem in our phone lines, You can try later.

you: no, i will nto try later, i have copied this conversation and am currently reporting to the bbb as well as fbi's internet fraud division

Neena: We honour your request but unfortunately we are unable to process that via live chat because of your privacy and security reasons.

Neena: You need to call us for that.

you: i have called you and spoke with someone 4 times already. I refused and sent back the first so called trial bottle and never opened the package, as a matter of fact i never touched the ckage except to write return to sender on it. I am going to press charges because i am not wasting anymore time on a fruadulent company who illegally processes charges on credit cards without consent

Neena: We're most certainly not a fraud company. I sincerely apologize if there has been a misunderstanding or a lapse in our obligation to our customer; that is why we have live chat as well as email support available in order to rectify any potential issue our customers run into.

Neena: Some of our most common issues arise from the customer not having a clear understanding of the terms and conditions which they must indicate that they have read and agree to before placing any order with us. Please take a quick read over them here, and see if that helps clear up any concern you have. If not, I'll be here and more than happy to assist you.

Neena: I hope I was of assistance to you. Is there anything else I can help you with today?

you: Your email support does nto work either

you: i just called your hone line i spoke with a guy names chris who told me he could not refund my money and refused to let me speak with a supervisor

Neena: We sincerely do apologize for any inconvenience if you’re finding your question to be un-answered or unsatisfactory. For a more diligent resolution, please send an email to support@acaiburn.com and our detail support staff will be able to assist you much more thoroughly.

you: like they have the past 2 weeks when i have sent 11 emails? would you liek me to copy and paste those emails? I also recorded the conversation i just had with your phone support guy named Chris, who refused to let me speak with a supervisor. I have also forwarded all corospondance to the appropirate agencies as well as a local news station who broadcast through the Ap, since no one can help me i will in turn make sure everyone knows how much of a fraud this company is and how they refuse to refund monies that are taken from your account illegally

you: i will post this ocnversation on eveery craigslist, every blogging site, every news site and any other place possible until this is resolved

you: it's simple, i dont need privacy to have my monies refunded. You have my credit card number, its as simple as reversing the charges

Damn, I wish I'd known about this site before I had anything to do with these people - I've also been charged for I don't know what on top of the 'free' 60 day sample - so far to the tune of £87.43. They've been taking money every two weeks so by my reckoning another £44+ will be going/have gone out around now.

I have to say that I was about to place an order but having learnt hard lessons in the past I thought it would be wise to check comments on sites like this one. I have read through the page where they ask for your credit card details and it does state that you would have to pay $59.99. However, this is in written form and not in numbers so I would have missed it if it wasn't for this site site and the complaints made.

Thank you. A big mistake not made.

Sorry to hear about everyones misfortune with this scam.

I too was charged the additional $59.95 (twice) following the initial offer. In addition, I was apparently automatically enrolled in "Comprehensive Weight Loss Program" for another $9.95 and "Insider Secrets" for $4.95. Got AcaiBurn to refund both $59.95 charges after I called and returned product. However, the other "partner" programs that I am apparently enrolled in (Comprehensive Weight Loss-[protected] and Insider Secrets-[protected]) will not refund their fees. I strongly suggest you call both to cancel and give them a piece of your mind as I did. The only thing getting thinner here is your wallet! Complete ripoff!

I agree with the complaint, I have also tried out the acaiburn pills, I got charged twice of 59.95 when I didn't even order the 2nd and too late to cancel the first. I have many weird fees on my billing statements 4.95, 9.95 two times and couple 1.00 fees. I had called them to cancel and then I received my next billing statement they had continued to charge me! I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one and that other people have experienced this too! I had to change my credit card due to all this! ACAIBURN is a fraud!

Yes, If you canceled the free trail over 14 days ( start to count on order date ). You will be charged $59.95 for free trial. So free trail actually is not free. When you sign on the free trial, the web access fee and membership fee were automatically deducted from your credit card account, these extra are not free, either.

I also have been caught and even after an online chat where I was told no more money would be taken it has happened anyway. They should be shut down and charged with fraud. I am going to have to change my card for a new one which is a lot of time and trouble to do. Also the pills and tea have not done a thing. I live in Australia so it is really hard or almost impossible for me to ring them. All emails are "bouncing" back!?

BEWARE...do not provide your credit card info or bank card info to ACAIBURN. You will start seeing mutlipe charges on your statements from sneaky merchant names. I was billed from a merchant named "Transaction Fee", "Internet Charge", and "Web Access". All three of these charges started showing up on my statement. I thought it was charges from my card company but when I call the bank, I found out those were the names of the merchants.

ACAIBURN IS A BIG SCAM. Don't call them, call your Attorney General's Office to shut them down!

This should be a lesson to READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. From the acaiburn website:

If you do not cancel your Membership as set forth in Section 6 hereinbelow, and return the one (1) month supply at your expense, which must be received by us within fourteen (14) days of your receipt of the one (1) month supply of AcaiBurnTM ("14 Day Trial Period"), your Active Credit Card will be charged the monthly Membership fee of Fifty-Nine Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($59.95) ("Monthly Fee").

You have to return the product to not be charged...

I have sent 7 emails and spoken on their online chat 5 times. I cancelled all products over a month ago and they are still charging me for membership.
When I saw it on the web it said a free trial up to now this free trial has cost me over $200 dollars. and their still charging me. I would advise everybody to give this a wide berth and if I were living in the states I would be reporting them to the relevant authorities. This is an out and out scam which used sweet talking and pleasant chat room operators who say they will help you in any way they can, but nothing gets done . Absolutely nothing. I wonder if Oprah Winfrey knows what she has encouraged people to get into. If you weren't broke before this so called trial you certainly will be now.

AcaiBurn did refund my original $59.95 when I retrned the whole bottle of pills unopened, but I still keep getting charged that $4.95 fee (twice now since I cancelled) and have called that 800# to cancel that too, but still keep getting charged! Buyers Beware! The only Business I know of that might do any good is the Better Business Bureau. If enough people report to them, I believe they can shut them down and keep them from ripping off more unsuspecting dieters!

I have been scammed ! £120 in all ... call your bank straight away they will show you how to cancel the 'subscribtion' that you join when ticking the box.

You will then have to wait 15 days and hope they dont take anymore. They have the right in their terms and conditions to withdraw and fee from your account without authorisation.

I'm in the UK but I guess the same rules work for you. Get your card company to challenge these amounts as "unauthorised payments". This website contains plenty of evidence that you're not making it up.

Once the card company agrees (they want your business and are on YOUR side so it's probable they will), they just claw back your hard-earned money for you.

Also, they might agree to forward your case to their Fraud department, which involves you in no hassle at all and may end with Acaiburn having their internet merchant status revoked (please God)

I ordered the the acai burn free trial under the impression that I would only be charged the 4.95 for shipping. I was charged 59.95 for some reason. I had called and cancelled my order the day that I placed it. They said that they could not cancel because it was already being charged. When I received the product I sent it back to them the same day I recieved the product. That was two weeks ago. They not refunded any of my money back yet. It is a big scam do not order!

I'm another sucker. The ordering process is very misleading. The wording strongly suggests you are going to get a month's free sample - you just have to pay a $3.95 postage charge.
Too good to be true? You bet. It is not until after you hit the 'Pay' button you are only then advised that you'll be charged for the product two weeks after delivery. Not a free sample at all.
In my own case, because I'm in the UK, that $3.95 postage jumped up to $12+ without warning.

And I never got email confirmation. All of this goes against the normal trading practices of Internet sellers.

I'm now going to phone my credit card company and get them to cancel this transaction. It might be a good product; it may be a bargain, but this company's way of doing business is unethical. Avoid them.

Their ad is deceiving - they make it sound like the first bottle of pills is free - I called their customer service and they told me that it was the first 14 days that was free, not the product itself. Isn't there like a governing body that oversees truth in advertising? Now I have no choice but to pay for shipping and insurance just so I don't get charged $59.95. Since I am within the 14-day trial period, I should be fine. If not, and they charge my credit card anyway, I am going to dispute those charges and file a complaint with the BBB.

I ordered a sample bottle of the AcaiBurn for $4.95, and notice d a charge of $59.95 plus another "Membership Fee" of $9.95 to my credit card account. About three days later I received three bottles of the stuf in the mail. Since I do not think this stuff really works, I called the (800) number published on my credit card statement, and got this bogus recorded message, and the call doesn't go anywhere-- No one answers that phone number. So I contacted my credit card company and told them what happened, and as it turns out, they said the company was a fraud, and are in the process of refunding all the charges billed to my account. Whatever you do, don't even think about ordering one of the trial bottles of the AcaiBurn because they will milk you!

All you people who have unauthorized charges on your cc: Call your cc company and dispute the charges! If you have to, dispute the charges and CANCEL YOUR CARD. It's a heckuvalot easier than trying to deal with the company (although the gal I spoke with was VERY helpful when I called to return the "free trial." )I called my cc company and he took off the extra charge and canceled my card immediately. In about a week I'll have a new one (although I won't be using it for any more online purchases!).

This fraudulent company is charging more on consumers' accounts than the 59.95. I unfortunately paid with a debit card. I have been charged 4.95 twice.
The 59.95 charge includes an international banking fee of .48 and another charge of 9.95. I have cancelled every account. The bad thing is that they are using "affiliate" companies for the other drafts. This has been such a pain.
