Comp USA/TAP Insurancenot honouring 3 year tap plan

Purchased my desktop PC in Nov 07 along with the 3 year gold TAP insurance.. just recently our pc was acting up so we called TAP, they assesed over the phone and said it was the hard drive, they sent part and tech out... however the tech installed and still not working.. he determined the monitor has died and rang TAP to verify his work order... however TAP insurance asked me to call back in 1 hour later... so i did and then was told TAP doesnt cover the monitor?? We were very upset why would this be cos we bought the PC as displayed on there shelve as all in one and paid the price they asked for... TAP then went into how my monitor was in a different box and separate bar code inwhich the warranty only covers the desktop??? so again, we had bought the PC as a whole package deal and were told the TAP insurance covered the pc.. which includes the monitor.. we can't help it has a different serial number? is this our fault? so we were very decieved by COMP USA.. we are still fighting over this and what a waste of money.. never again TAP are you seeing our $$$
