They read images as a third-party contractor for hospitals. The hospital charges the patient for the service and imaging and the insurance company gets involved. Despite the patient already being charged by the hospital, they double bill patients for services, charging them for stuff they already paid for. I think this happening because of disputes between them and their contractors. The hospital bills the patient for the service and then pays this imagining company to read results. Despite knowing that the patient was already charged, this company then double bills the patient for the services they already paid for. They don't send a paper bill. They instead send peoples straight to collections without attempting to speak to them. They also don't explain why they are double billing the patients to the patients and one cannot get through to any form of help from them with this. Whilte their employees reading the results might be legit, the company is most likely a scam in that it bills the hospital and has the hosptal bill the patient and then also bills the patient a second time. The second bill to the patient is sent directly to collection agency, causing people great anxiety, stress and money issues while they are dealing with medical issues. Not everyone hast he resources to fight the double bililng even though most of his know we don't really owe this money.
