Used College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving for the first time and won't use them again. They charged me twice during the same visit and now they're giving me the runaround to fix it. I'm moving this weekend and they have my money. The girl in the office said the manager is on vacation and she'll let him know. Someone needs to stop these guys!

Don't use College Hunks! I used them in December to load a PODS storage unit. They were recommended by PODS customer service. I was going through a divorce and needed to store a lot of furniture and personal belongings as I was moving in with a friend temporarily since I needed a hip replacement. I needed a cane to even stand and I was essentially handicapped. I couldn't supervise the packing. Well, I finally moved into my own place two days ago and got into the ***. I have moved a lot in my life and I have never seen so much damage. Boxes labeled fragile totally crushed, wardrobes crushed, furniture gouged and scratched. They told me that they were wrapping everything in plastic wrap. Well, there was only one strip around the middle of a China cabinet. Now they're saying that the damage might have occurred during transportation of the ***. Well, that's why I hired professional movers. I also notified PODS customer service but I haven't heard back from them. If College Hunks are willing to take advantage of a handicapped older woman, then they are truly despicable.

I used them 2 years ago and had no problm. On July 15 we moved my mother to assisted living and then moved a dresser to my house near the College Hunks location in Castleton. They damaged the dresser and the mirror was not delivered. The following day we used them for junk removal and one of the guys was from the move and told me the mirror was in their office. I've sent emails and called the main number with no response. I finally called the help center again today and they sent an email to the location. Someone just called now from their office and I explained that I found a furniture restoration guy to repair the mirror and dresser that had the posts that support the mirror broken off. This dresser was made around *** and is not replaceable. I have forwarded again my 2 emails from July 16 and August 4th and *** promised me that I will hear back from someone within the hour. They want the Manufacturer and model # which of course I don't have. They have said they will pay $.60 per pound based on standard dresser - $168.00 Response from this location was nil until call center escalated this issue.

College Hunks Hauling and Moving moved a new tenant into my apartment building on 9/17. While doing so, a lamp fell off the truck and hit my car hood. The driver, ***, didn't give me any insurance info. The manager, ***, told me to get an estimate for the repair and email it to him. I sent the email on October 21. I told him that the repair would require me to have a rental car for 3 days and the estimate was around $1100. He said he would talk to his manager. The next day, he called and said they would only pay for 1 day of car rental, which is not okay. I asked for the insurance info, but *** wouldn't give it to me. I feel like College Hunks wants me to pay for my auto repair out of pocket. They say they will reimburse me, but I'm not sure they will. I want to get the insurance info so I can contact them directly to help with my claim. I want to be paid directly for the rental car and repair or be assured that any money I spend will be paid back to me. If possible, I want punitive damages. I can't take my car to the shop until November 29. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you, ***.

I'm writing to complain about College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving. My mom, who's 94 years old, hired them on October 30 to move from one place to another. During the move, her antique porcelain lamp got broken. One of the guys from College Hunks filed a complaint with IndyClaims, and they said they'd contact me in a couple of days. I got an email from IndyClaims on November 2, asking for more information about the damaged item. I sent pictures on November 4, but I couldn't provide a model number because there wasn't one on the lamp. I haven't heard from IndyClaims since November 21. I tried following up with them on January 2, 2022, and February 25, 2022, but I didn't get a reply. I finally called College Hunks on March 12, 2022, and spoke to someone named ***. He said he'd contact the manager of Claims and have them call me, but I still haven't heard anything. I emailed them again on April 23, 2022, but they didn't reply. I sent my last email on May 23, 2022, asking for $800-$1200 in damages, but I didn't get a reply. This is really bad business. Can you help me resolve this issue with College Hunks Moving?
