I purchased a cole Haan C33387 size 11 shoe from Von Maur because they were light and stylish and would look nice in a suit for wearing at conferences. These shoes have a final 1/8 inch thin final soft rubber sole. I wore them twice. Each time the toe peeled apart from the main base sole creating a trip hazard. Each time I took it to a professional shoe repair expert. The second time my shoe guy said these are poorly designed and engineered and this thin soft rubger sole is going to always peel. So I took them back to Von Maur and they looked at them and agreed these were poorly designed and showed very little wear. So they have me info to contact Cole Haan directly as they felt they should know this sole peels easily and creates a dangerous trip hazard.
Cole Haan didn’t care. Incouls not believe it. They will not replace them with something comparable and safer.
They just don’t care.
Claimed loss: Just replace the shoes with something safer that doesn’t have a super soft 1/8 inch sole that peels off at the toe causing trip exposure.
Desired outcome: Replace the shoes. I just want a set of shoes that don’t create a trip hazard.
