CNN Smerconish Saturgays morning shows.

I want to complain About Michael Smerconish Saturdays show. That show is bellow the quality level of the rest of the CNN shows. The show is not balanced and the host has prejudices, he is the hidden hand of former President Trump and to top it off, he has been announcing himself as independent, when we can all see, clearly, it is not true. That show is an insult to viewers and should be replaced for a better show for Saturdays mornings. Smerconish's show belongs to FOX NEWS, not CNN. Thanks

CNN CNN Programming

I have been a loyal CNN follower for years. Your new format is offensive to those of us that tune in to CNN because WE DO NOT WANT TO HEAR FOX'S FASCISM. Since your new CEO has decided he knows best what we want, I am taking my viewing to MSNBC starting today. That means you will lose about 10 hours daily of viewershio, just from me alone. I KNOW I am not the only one that feels this way.

Desired outcome: Given the action taken without even letting viewers chime in, this complaint will not be given any thought, so no desired outcome possible.

Lovevasia Bey 10/07/2022 I have been a loyal CNN viewer for many years. Does Chris Licht CEO and Chairman of CNN want to reshape CNN? What Chris Licht wants is fewer opinions and less truth regarding Donald Trump. Chris Licht is the puppet and Donald Trump is pulling his strings. Desired outcome: Hopefully, millions of CNN viewers will request the return of Chris Cuomo, Don Lemons, and others that made the program worth watching

CNN Use of “Kate” instead of Katherine when referring to the Princess of Wales

Please change how you refer to The Princess in all news items. She should be called by her appropriate official name, Katherine. . It will be an appropriate step in exhibiting respect for the position. I feel this is especially important since she will inevitably be the Queen. You do not call William “ Wills”, so why treat her differently?

You don’t call His Majesty “Charlie”.

Stop the disrespect and minimizing of her position.

Desired outcome: Change the reference of The new Princess of Wales from “Kate” to Katherine

CNN CNN news

I am a UK citizen and up until now an avid viewer of CNN news, especially since 2015. I was utterly disgusted by the ludicrous comments of Zain Asher, your Africa correspondent on 12 September. It was highly racist and historically and factually incorrect. You have so many great reporters, Anderson Cooper and Dom Lemon but two, yet she has really let your news channel down.

Desired outcome: Aired apology at least

CNN QEII Death Coverage

The saturation of the QEII death/mourning/funeral/tribute is mind-numbing. I realize that the CNN audience is not the smartest group of people, but this British tabloid addiction is oppressive. I will not be watching CNN anymore, as the network no longer maintains an intregrity to REAL NEWS.

I thought the new leadership was supposed to put the network back on the rails, but that was apparently too sanguine.

Desired outcome: Less tabloid news would be preferred, although ratings are in direct conflict. Consequently, no such modality will be adopted by management.

CNN Scott McLean

With regards to Mr McLeans comments as below:

You can see Harry get out first, and then you saw Meghan and then the other two royals as well'

How dare he use such a way to describe our royalty. Harry and Meghan are NO longer royals. To describe our future King and Queen, William and Katherine in such a way is hugely disrespectful. He is obviously either ignorant or imposing his own personal feelings. I as one UK 🇬🇧 subject for d this highly offensive.

Desired outcome: Mr McLean should be either demoted or fired

CNN Friday morning's broadcast 9/9/22.

Mostly your coverage of the Queen's demise has been spectacular. However, I am quite disturbed by the comments from Zain Asher today. The general discussion was around Charles' speech for later in the day. I thought her comments were not really on topic, when she spoke of 'Colonialism' etc., but it was the final statement which was the most offensive. Although not verbatim, she spoke as follows: {The issue must be addressed about how much money the Royal Family has made from slavery.} The other two commentators seemed taken aback by her comments and there was a distinct couple of moments of silence! Today, of all days, with the Queen's passing not even at 24 hours yet, her comments, were not only irrelevant at this sad time, but also were entirely inappropriate for the particular reason for the continual coverage of the Queen's death. It was unnecessary and extremely disrespectful to the late Queen as head of that royal family who supposedly made that money. I turned my set off because I would not listen to such inconsiderate and self-serving diatribe. However, when I tuned back in a little while later, she was still referring to "Colonialism". CNN lost me for the day after that. If there is one thing CNN has done, and continues to do through this whole time, is the 'right thing'. I agree with the 'freedom of the press'{media}, but some of these people who represent you, and whom you expect will uphold your high standards, need to be made aware of voicing, possibly, their own opinions at the at the appointed, and appropriate time.

Desired outcome: Broadcasters be trained on what is and what is not appropriate at times of sadness.

CNN Your maga right turn

Your new MAGA direction has ensured that I'll never again watch or read CNN in the future. Defending Republican fascism is not only irresponsible but dangerous. The United States already has a FOX "News" and we don't need another one. You guys have been reviled as "liberal" for so long that thinking you'll attract FOX, OAN or Newsmax viewers is absurd to the point of delusional. Way to flush your reputation guys.

What Biden said the other night was not political, it was true and your clutching at your pearls about the Marines in the background wasn't something you ever griped about when Trump made blatantly political and partisan rally type speeches. I don't remember you whining when Bush Jr. stood on the deck of an aircraft carrier with thousands of Sailors and Marines present. Since you guys have decided to stop being news and start being partisan hacks, you can forget my viewer/readership in the future/

Desired outcome: I won't return to CNN Until you return to your old model of not excusing for Fascism and issue an apology for going full MAGA

CNN Recent firings of personalities

I have been a long-time viewer of CNN because of their views and news personalities, but I will be going elsewhere due to all the recent changes. I know many other family members and friends are doing the same. Please rethink what you have been doing, and make no more changes, except re-hire some of those recently let go. They have the views I want to hear.

Viewing MSNBC more & more except for Jim Acosta, Cooper, Lemon, Blitzer & Berman. After comments from 2 anchors yesterday after President's speech we are done w/CNN. President's speech was exceptional!

Maybe reflects new management?

Ex-POTUS is grifter, crook, person using deflection in daily life as do most narcissists; had practically demolished democracy.

One good thing: coverage of Ukraine, has been excellent but down in quality now.

Desired outcome: Want 'old' CNN, support USA & democracy, ppl working to assure does not fall. Apology to viewers for last eve's comments + assurance CNN NOT a Fox#2. Each entitled to opinion, these not what CNN has been about.

CNN Cnn live news programs

It is deplorable that so much time is spent with paid promotions re: ads. Four full minutes is spent in commercial. FOUR-MINUTE AD BREAKS completely disinforms the viewer. Surely someone must notice the drop in viewers is entirely due to the long minutes wasted in commercials. I do watch the news several times a day, but to endure repeated 4:00 ad breaks lead me to use a different provider. Shame on CNN for its craven disregard for the viewers' experience. If this is not made more palatible to the views, I will join the ranks of those who abandon CNN.

Desired outcome: MORE NEWS, LESS WASTED TIME

You make it very difficult to sit through a slew of paid ads instead of presenting news of interest. I know your company relies on paid ads to remain on the air. Having ad breaks dominating the viewers' experience degrades the CNN experience. Sometimes it seems there are more paid ads than news during each session. Three to four ads break during a short time is disconcerting and frustrating. Please do something to enhance to viewers' experience by reducing the number and frequency of paid ads. In the time it took to pen this missive there have been two (2) commercial breaks with 9 (nine) commercials. I am in the process of finding an alternative to this crappy programming of advertisements.

CNN Program intended to cause psychological damage

8/24/22

Dear CNN:

I am writing in regards to a program aired by Dr. Sanjay Gupta about a young man who had Ewing's sarcoma and had his leg amputated to live. I believe this was deliberately aired to cause 95 year old Dr. Azetta Wexler psychological damage due to the fact that she lost a child to what i thought was Ewing's sarcoma only to find out it was a Wilm's tumor. However, i recorded it on her health history as such and spoke of it over the phone believing it was an Ewing's sarcoma. That said, Ernest Wexler's son Joseph Wexler, then 4 years old, had a tumor removed from his neck by Dr. Franklin Ashley of UCLA in 1957. He also completely reconstructed his shoulder. Subsequently, the cancer metastisized and there was a compound fracture of Joseph's tibia. Ernest Wexler was approached about removing Joseph's leg, he replied, "I'll let you remove the boy's leg if you can show me one case where you have done this before and the child lived." They couldn't, he replied, "Then I'm not going to let you cut this boy up in pieces." He later told me, "I would have carried that boy to the moon if i thought it would have saved him." Therefore, it is my contention this program was put on to deliberately make Dr. Azetta Wexler second guess her husband's decision 55 years earlier. They waited until I turned their channel on to air the story because it didn't start at the top or bottom of the hour, but 40 minutes after the hour. This is how I knew it was deliberately for us. This was done at the end of her life.

I would like a settlement.

Sincerely, Samuel Wexler DDS MPH

PS. Photo taken just before illness, he is the middle child.

CNN Anti-Semite Program

Sunday's Dana Bash's program on Anti-Semitism, I thought, although well meaning was very superficial. I felt that as a Jew myself, there was not enough in-depth discussion of causes and possible remedies. The interviews with the same 2 or 3 men broken up by far too many commercials were disheartening. A single, sustained interview with the ADL and someone from the commend center, I think, might have had more gravitas. By spreading the show out and the constant commercials made for an uneven, unsatisfying experience. It was almost as if Ms. Bash didn't want to offend anyone but fulfill her assignment. Considering all the publicity, especially from Ms. Bash herself on Friday, I expected much more; maybe longer, more in-depth and certainly fewer interruptions. Good first attempt! Perhaps some follow-up programs i.e. tracking the history of anti-Semitism, causes, consequences and what can and should be done about it. Look at Great Barrington, NJ just this past weekend...

CNN Cancellation of reliable sources

I abhor your decision to cancel “Reliable Sources”. It is short sighted and ill advised, I hope you reconsider. CNN is quickly abandoning it’s place as preeminent TV news broadcaster. Are you asking to lose my viewership?

And DO NOT CANCEL BRIANNA KEILER, she is a shining light

CNN Programming error

Dear CNN Newcomer "Leadership",

This single longtime viewer, whom no doubt means little to you, has been attempting to reach out to so-called "leadership" at CNN. However CNN has removed all avenues of reaching out with feedback from their website for ex-Pats living in Europe.

Perhaps the new front office at CNN is not interested in hearing negative feedback to their cancelling of popular, highly-rated programs? Or any feedback at all, since that avenue has been disabled on the website.

The latest less-than-brilliant move is the cancellation of 'Reliable Sources' with Brian Stelter. It seems they gave Stelter plenty of warning and he very well may have found employment at a more deserving network. I will be pointing my interest there at this point.

CNN's new "leadership" is using the excuse of presenting fewer (or no?) "personal opinion" programs. Are these corporate weenies even listening to "Reliable Sources"? While there is certainly a degree of opinion, the majority of the coverage is very much unbiased and Stelter is very adept at balancing both sides to every subject matter.

Since so-called leadership has invoked the subject of "opinion" -- perhaps their opinion (or current knowledge) of what makes CNN work should be brought into question?

I suspect I speak for countless viewers, and potential ex-viewers.

Personally, the few programs I never miss have been Jake Tapper's "State Of The Union", "Smerconish", and Stelter's "Reliable Sources".

These have been exceptionally in-depth examples of true journalism. A rare and welcomed treat at a time when such research and concise coverage is nearly impossible to find on the air, on the 'net, and in the near-extinct newspapers.

My news 'balancing act' comes from daily viewing of Euronews, Al Jazeera, and CNN (in particular the programs I listed above).

CNN's newest Chairman and Chief Executive Officer is Dennis Licht. A relatively young 'network TV' executive who apparently does not realize he is no longer running a network television entity?

His CNN Executive VP, Michael Bass (himself a product of network TV at NBC), is perhaps afraid to step-up as an individual.

This entire scenario begs the question: Are these two bosses attempting to turn CNN into yet another source for 'Big 3 Network' pabulum?

The "leadership" branch at CNN might consider doing something so basic that it possibly escaped their overly-educated programming minds. That would be conducting surveys/polls among its viewership before firing its most valuable intelligent hosts and killing prominent programs. Not to mention throwing their ever-important ratings down the sponsorship toilet.

I do believe I speak for thousands re: this cancellation trend.

- Kevin Lynch

(formerly of Connecticut, USA now living in Netherlands since 2008)

Desired outcome: A more sane approach to noncommercial network programming at CNN.Do not become one of the Big 3 networks.

CNN ADVERTISING - Disparaging Attorney General Merrick Garland -

This is the ad that ran today, 8/19/22, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

I couldn't believe my eyes -- that CNN chose to run a sick, false ad that targeted Merrick Garland. This ad is a LIE -- like the BiG LIE -- Remember that one?

How extraordinarily tone deaf, biased, creepy of you to run this ad.

How much money did you receive to run this ad?

You are off my list of news sources that I can trust.

CNN just sunk to the level of a FOX news or dare I say Breitbart / Newsmax level.

Desired outcome: I want to know how much money CNN received from running the ad and why they chose to run such an appalling piece of crap on their network.

CNN News reporting in general and not having a contact number or customer service

The CNN website should not be aloud to exist, because there is no one to contact and they have no customer service dept. The site looks like a China Propaganda website, you can not speak your mind or even complain about an article... I see now why CNN is considered fake news. Please tell me why this site is able to exist in America, it is so wrong and I would be ashamed to work for this company. Honestly I watched if for an hour the other day and the whole show was about bashing Donald Trump, with no one speaking in the Presidents defense, shame of you CNN...

Watching CNN was actually like watching a BAD Saturday Night Live skit... I know know that anyone watching CNN can get brainwashed because they only bring out the bad without knowing that it is even true.

Example of CNN NEWS

Lets say 2 people get in a fight and they only interview one of the people and they bash the other person and you never here the other side of the story. So sad to watch, I will never watch CNN again... Such A Joke got back to china

CNN CNN online

I am just a person in the UK. I object to CNN publishing opinion pieces by outright racists like Kehinde Andrews. The guy makes a living and his name by formenting racial hatred. Sorry to disappoint you, but the vast majority of people in England and the United Kingdom were not born when there was slavery, or even when there was a British Empire, and do not dream of a return of either! An even bigger majority are not racist, they are just normal people trying to live decent lives in challenging times.

Why is CNN so determined to increase racial tensions? I see how polarised politics has become in America, I am aghast that so many people can support Donald Trump, but when I see how extreme CNN has become, example publishing people like Kehinde Andrews, I get some insight.

By the way, it is fair to say that it's hard to see how Rishi Sunak could represent many people in the UK, being so rich, but its a problem of British politics, having a ruling elite of rich people, despite democracy. A problem which you are familiar with in the US.
