Cleveland Clinic review: Lack of patient safety

On 2/7/2023 I was taken by ambulance to the Richard E. Jacobs Avon Cleveland Clinic at roughly 21:55 with excruciating chest pain. They did the normal cardiac work up and thankfully didn’t find anything. I had told them over and over again of a new medication I started a week prior to this event and no one was the least bit interested. I was discharged at 12:50 with no transportation home having exhausted all avenues. (Uber, Lyft, Westlake Cab, Yellow cab and Americab)

After not being able to find any transportation while making all these calls in the ER waiting room, I went back to the nurses station to tell them I had exhausted ever possible avenue. They called security and I was told to leave the premises. I asked for some blankets as I only had pajamas and slippers on. I was forced to walk two miles home! At 1:00am in 38 degree weather to a street with no sidewalks north of the Hospital.

Zero Concern for my Safety! Put me at risk of exposure to the winter temperatures, being kidnapped or hit by a car to say the least of so many things completely wrong with that!

I have PTSD AND FIBROMYALGIA no regard for how this has effected me. Apparently they decided It was all mental, they haven’t even called to check on me.

Next day I saw the prescribing doctor of the new medication and he said what I experienced was a known side effect from the new medication.

Not once did anyone even go over my medications with me.

That place is a death trap!

Desired outcome: A formal apology, any charges be nullified!
