Clarkson Eyecare review: Katherine and Theresa at Clarkson front desk workers

I had an eye exam in November 2025. I purchased my 2 pair of glasses from a different vender once received them, while wearing them I noticed my RX seemed a bit off. I understand it takes time to adjust to a new RX but mine has never been too far off from the previous year. I do not have stigmatism, bifocal or extreme RX. I reached out to Clarkson to get a follow up, left several messages no returned calls, drove past the location they would be closed. Reached out to a different Clarkson explained my dilemma asked if they could check my RX. They not only told me the location I went to had been shut down for a bit but also changed their hours, lost doctors and then stated I would have to return back to the location I had the exam for them to recheck my RX or do the follow up. How? If I can't get a hold of anyone. I finally was able to get ahold of someone at the Clarkson I had my original visit with at this point it's now the end of January, explain my situation they too inform me they had been shut down, lost doc's etc. I mention, "I do not want to be charged again" something is wrong with my RX glasses & contacts. I am told I will not be charged, and it will be an extension of my comprehensive "the follow up". Now the date of this "follow up" appt. This Theresa office person doesn't check me to be seen by the optometrist. She lacks communication skills of explaining to me what is going while barking commands at me. She took my glasses to the back and returned with markings on them and told me (never asked) to put them on. Informed her I had contacts in she just stared at me. I started sneezing, eyes became inflamed (high allergy to cats) she had cat hair all over her clothing (poor grooming/hygiene). She continued barking orders, not making anything clear as to what was taking place. I put the glasses on with my eyes closed (still never answered me about me having contacts in). Open your eyes! As I open them (contacts & glasses on) she is charging towards my face with a marker. When I ask a question, she would just stare at me. After the exam was done with the Doc. who I did make aware of the incident. I was headed out of the building and I was met with a bill from Katherine. I explained to her what I was told by a Clarkson worker, Katherine disregarded this and the worker who stated they did indeed tell me there was no fee and I still had to pay. I called back up to Clarkson and asked Katherine if it was run through my insurance, she said it was not and it would be denied. I informed her of my insurance again and practically had to beg her to submit a claim for it to be processed since I was already made to pay out of pocket. Katherine never submitted the claim to my insurance company. When she decided to finally submit, it was denied because she purposely submitted it under the wrong code to my insurance. After speaking with my insurance company, we realized she submitted one code to them and printed a different code on my receipt. This people are truly the devil's workers, and I am not sure why anyone would want them representing their business. Who knows who else billing she has manipulated with this type of sorcery. These two will never have to worry about me coming or ever referring anyone to this Clarkson. This was my first time at any Clarkson and it was and still is the most draining, time-consuming unnecessary encounter I have ever had.
