Purchased Camden sectional over $3,000 6 months later left side is sinking in all wrinkled seam opening still under the one-year manufacturer's warranty City keeps coming up with excuse saying that's normal how is a seam opening normal am I living in the Twilight zone they come up with every excuse the backrests are all misaligned and not operating correctly customer service at City Furniture will come up with every possible excuse to help the customers situation

City Furniture Botched delivery

I am in the process of moving to the State of Florida from the State of New York. My first City Furniture order was perfect so I placed a second order for more furniture for my new home. Both orders were fulfilled by Salesman Dan Martinez in your Fort Myers store. My husband and I traveled from New York to Florida from July 15 through July 23. On the date of delivery (July 20), although the delivery man called to say he'd be at my home in a given number of minutes, he arrived very late. As my couch was being set up, we discovered that we were given two right pieces instead of 1 right and 1 left. Re-delivery of the correct piece was scheduled for Friday, July 22 (the day before we were scheduled to return to New York), and same as before, they arrived late. Delivery men informed me that the incorrect piece had been reloaded back onto the truck to be redelivered to me. As this was our last day in Florida, and we were moving in to our new home, my husband and I had many errands to run but couldn't as we waited hours for this delivery, all for naught -- as the wrong piece was delivered not once but twice. At that point, I was leaving to fly back to NY (from FL) the following afternoon. When I called City Furniture to arrange delivery at the last possible opportunity before my flight on July 23, no one answered the phone. I called back and spoke with a gentleman who told me he'd look into this matter and call me back. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and I'm still waiting for his call. I don’t think it’s coming. In the interim, I called Dan Martinez for assistance; my call went to his voice mail and I left a message that it was urgent that he call me back. My husband and I texted Dan as well. He never returned my call or our texts.

My husband and I drove over to City Furniture in Fort Myers in an effort to resolve this issue. As we were leaving to return back to New York, arrangements were made for your designer to enter our home on July 25 to let the delivery men deliver and install the correct piece, which is what occurred. As we were speaking with this individual assisting us, Dan appeared and was dismayed at what had happened. Before my husband and I left, Dan assured us that he would follow up with us to make sure that the next delivery on July 25 would go off without a hitch. It’s been two weeks and I’m still waiting for Dan’s call. I don’t think it’s coming.

Anyone can sell furniture. However, when you abandon your customers when you discover they had an issue such as ours, after assuring them that you’d follow up and then don’t, demonstrates a lack of professionalism and caring. It’s not a way to attract repeat customers for sure, and if we ever do buy from City Furniture after this experience, we will not afford Dan another chance.

Desired outcome: Apology and an acknowledgement that your company completely botched this order twice and assurance that the person responsible for loading, and then reloading, the incorrect piece of furniture back on the truck was reprimanded.

City Furniture Heron cove light tv stand 80”

We ordered this piece on the City Furniture website last January after seeing one in our local store. We ordered it and were given an estimated delivery date in March, 2 months later. When that time came, it never arrived and City Furniture gave us another arrival date in May. We put it in our calendar, and when that date arrived and we still had no furniture (and no call from City) we checked online and saw that it had been delayed AGAIN. We called and this time they told us it would be late July/early August. Well here we are with still no furniture, and after calling again today, we have now been told that the estimated arrival date was again changed, this time to late October/early November. We insisted on a refund this time and I guess will be getting one in 3-5 days. After simply holding on to our money interest free for going on a year, this is the best they could do. Horrible business, horrible customer service, and a horrible outcome. I would not recommend buying furniture from their website as they still have this same piece for sale on there even though they have no idea if they will ever get more in.

City Furniture Do not buy the Warranty

We spent a few hundred dollars on the warranty for the sofa and bedroom furniture we purchased because the sofa was a light color and the representative stated the warranty would cover against dog, food, etc.. If there's a problem, just call and they would have someone out to clean it.

We did that and all they're doing is sending us an SOS kit that is supposed to be stronger than the crap they sold us. If they have to send a cleaner and it doesn't come up, it may cost us.

Waste of money. Never again.

Desired outcome: Probably a refund if they're not going to send someone to clean the sofa.

City Furniture Worst customer service support/missing order, delivery problems.

order was placed on June 12th and today is August 1 we are still waiting to get it delivered by Boe Bell his company is called A.R.M.S a company that the sales rep Angel contacted. i have already made a payment to furniture that i dont have. many calls emails and nothing has been done. this is the worst company to get customer service support. the delivery company stole my $300.00 and has not returned it or provided service. Angel the Rep ignores my calls and emails. if they dont want to deliver please cancel the balance with synchrony bank and return my money.

Desired outcome: i want my delivery money returned $300.00 so i can rent a truck and pick it up myself if not please cancel the balance with synchrony bank and return my money.

City Furniture Reimbursement

Good afternoon, 

My name is Jacob Jenkins I purchased a bed set's and a mattress from City Furniture store # 23 and my daughter purchased a bed set. I received one discount in the amount of $288.00 for the one purchase but  I haven't received the second discount for the other The Family member name is Kelvin Doriso.

The salesman Ivan Cornielle put both purchases under my name but my daughter paid for her own set because She's is in college. I asked the salesman if there would be a problem receiving the discounts with both of them being in my Name and he said no. One was paid with Discover which is my daughter Christioni  and the other with Visa by Jacob  the total purchase was 1,21.52 so even if you put both purchases together the discount should be more than $288.00 I purchased these bed sets under the assumption that I would be receiving a discount like I told I would Please assist thank you.

City Furniture Online Design Services

On June 27th 2022 I emailed a Design Consultant my information regarding a room we need to furnish. I included the dimensions and furniture styles I was interested in. The Online Consultant, Makeda Miller, initially replied she would put together a design board and email it to me that evening. After not receiving her email I sent a follow up email the next day claiming how interested I was to see her recommendations. It has now been 3 weeks and she has not contacted me once.

This morning I called your “Customer Service” phone number and “Ron or Rob” never apologized for my disappointing experience all he said was he would see what he could help me with and proceeded to put me on hold for over 6 min. I hung up since I did not believe he could offer any real help.

I am complaining here because I have many options for furniture shopping and would hope a company of your size would take better care of their customers in the future.

Today is July 16th, 2022.

Desired outcome: I would prefer to have someone competent contact me regarding my room design.

City Furniture Purchase of bedroom set

My husband and I purchased a bedroom set, mattress and what we were told adjustable bed.. over $7,000

We are very disappointed with City Furniture due to the fact that the one major request when shopping for our bedroom set was a low profile bed. We were assured several times by the sales rep that the adjustable bed could be lowered to ground as much as we wanted. Again, this was very important to me due to my medical condition in which I’ve already had a total hip replacement at the age of 40 and would need surgery soon on the other hip.

When the delivery personal arrived , I was told “ we have a big problem here”… I then learned that the adjustable bed could not be lowered at all, as it would hit the bed frame when going up it down.

So, I must say I am extremely disappointed as this was a very important aspect to pick a bedroom set that would work for me.

I called the store were purchased and spoke with the store manager (Kevin) I was told that he has never heard of this and would get back to me asap after researching it. Here we are almost 2 weeks later and I haven’t heard a thing.

I just feel it would only be fair to customers to tell them the truth when purchasing furniture or at least do not give false information out if you are not sure.

City Furniture Patio set

Invoice #415059/25 andy a williams. I recieved the wrong cushions for my patio set. These items were for export. I emailed a complaint on reciept of the wrong cushions with only one response on the 24/06/2022. This problem has not been resolved by your export department as yet. Also only one correspondance from your sales associate andres ramirez. I also sent all the required pictures of the issue.

City Furniture Sales support and customer care

On 6/1/2022 we visited City Furniture at Boca Raton where Mr Doovenson Dorsainvil (sales person) attended us. We purchased 2 sets of beds and night stands and mattress. Delivery was in accordance with the plan with one exception: the sales person charged us for a box spring that was not needed for the bunk beds we chose (the delivery person advised us that this item was not required and that he would not load it in the truck). Afterwards, I called the store and I was told I needed to address the credit for the extra item with the sale person. I called Thursday June 9 but could not find the sales person and none else at the store could help (no manager present according to person who answered phone). Called next day Friday June 10 and the same thing. Could not get in touch with the sales person after leaving multiple voice mails on his phone extension. The issue here is that once you buy from a sales person, you are forced to deal with that person on any issue and if the person is not present no one else can help. I was denied to talk to a manager as he was always out according to store employee.

It is Jun 17, 2022 and still have not received the updated invoice with the credit nor any communications from the store. Also, we need to cancel the items on back order but I can't because the sales person refuses to call me back or anyone for that matter. I think is a store tactic to delay things so people get tired and accept being taking advantage.

This is very bad customer care, even when I paid for extra for the in home special service. I do not recommend buying from this company due to the issues I am having.

Desired outcome: Need to get credit for items not needed and backorder that I don't want anymore.

City Furniture Heron Cove Table and Avery DK Blue Fabric Swivel Rock Glider

Certain sales reps and managers at City Furniture’s West Palm Beach store do not have your best interests in mind. Vesna sold me a table that is too short for the chairs she recommended!

I have been ignored and lied to for the past three months. My claim has been denied because customer warranty declared it’s my preference to have a table that is too short for the chairs!

The store manager Tashed said I should have measured it before buying the table. Silly me, I trusted that Vesna advised me correctly! Don’t trust them. No one at that store accepts responsibility. No one responds or cares.

Desired outcome: At a minimum, I want a credit in the amount of $629.98 what I paid for the table. A credit for the whole order would be ideal.

City Furniture Intellibed Matrix Supreme

On April 20, 2022 I made a large purchase from City Furniture in the Altamonte Springs, Fl store. The representatives that assisted me were Enda and Zachary. I visited this store three days trying out the Intellibed because multiple staff members in the store raved about how fantastic this mattress was. Kevin and Rallie both managers at the store also spoke about their personal experience with the mattress and assured me I would be beyond satisfied with the mattress. After going home to do my own research I agreed the Intellibed was worth the investment. The mattress was delivered on May 4, 2022. During the first week of June I started noticing the numbness coming back in my arms when laying on my sides. One of the major reasonings for purchasing this mattress was because of the support and pressure point reliefs. On June 14, 2022 I removed all the sheets off the mattress to do laundry and notice towards the center where I sleep some sinking. At this point the mattress is only six weeks old - there is no reason why I should be experiencing this so soon. I went to city Furnitures website, followed all the steps to submit a claim with photos. Someone is suppose to call within 48 hours - no one called. I decided to call and visit the store. Over the phone I was told I would need to pay an additional $50 to have someone come and inspect the mattress after spending over $7500 on this mattress alone, not including the bedframe and bunky boards purchased as well. I refused to pay the $50 after speaking to someone at the store, they were kind enough to refund $50 to cover the transportation cost. Now, here I am on June 16, 2022 trying to schedule for a technician to come out to inspect the mattress to only be told that technicians come out on Thursdays ONLY. Well I work everyday of the week and have school 3 nights out of the week. As a med student missing a day of class is not an option and I need to work to pay for this purchase. When asked if any things else can be done to accommodate my schedule to proceed with the claim - I'm told unfortunately not. I have never been more inconvenienced by a company before. There has been an issue since April 20, 2022 when I made the purchase from the delivery dates/time (that I had to take off of work for), the missing bunky boards, to the installation and replacing of the bunky boards (that I had to take off of work for) and now this - that I would again need to take off of work for all because they only do things on certain days of the week. When I called Intellibed directly I am told I have to deal with City Furniture because that is where I purchased the mattress.

At this point I would love to just give them mattress back and have my money refunded but that is not allowed due to their policies. I am heavily inconvenienced by this entire situation and would never purchase another item from City Furniture.

Desired outcome: To have the technician come out on a day other than Thursday to inspect the mattress or come pick up the mattress and refund me the money for this headache and inconvenience.

City Furniture Replacement not done

In 2019 I bought a five-piece Santino model bed set, including a Santino white Drawer Chest, after a few months two of the drawers stopped closing because the sliders broke, two sheets also began to detach from the surface of the furniture. As I put guarantee I began to present the claim to replace it. They approved the substitution but until today after almost two years. constantly calling to complain. and many lies on the part of the representatives, it has not yet been possible for me to obtain my replacement. I am sure that in the notes they take in the claims they will be able to see all my procedures, calls and constant claims. They have scheduled the change and I have stopped working to wait and when they arrived, they bring something broken or they cannot replace it for different reasons. I am desperate because I have paid a lot of money and my clothes are in boxes because I cannot use the furniture. I see on the website that they are available in stock and ready to ship but in my case, they do not give a solution.

I hope this letter finds yourself and family in the best of health during these unprecedented times, it is with regret I am forced to express complete dissatisfaction on my recent City Furniture Order, executed online on 02/23/2022. As a loyal satisfied consumer since 2007 I am appalled regarding the length of time I've been waiting for the complete delivery of my order, I have been making monthly payments with interest charged to my Visa Credit Card since February and today has only received a partial order and a delivery date for the rest of my order has not been determined. The furniture {Dante White Leather Power Reclining Sofa & Dante White Leather Power Recliner} were originally rescheduled for delivery on 05/19/2022, two days prior to delivery I received a phone call advising only a partial order will be delivered on 05/19/2022. As one of the premier furniture companies in South Florida, this is unacceptable. …. I am expecting complete oversight from the Warehouse Manager relative to the order and seamless delivery within no more than two weeks…. Any further issues with this order will result in the cancellation of the order, your company coming to my residence and removing the {Dante White Leather Power Recliner} a complete refund of charges including interest paid to my Visa Credit Card and termination of my relationship with City Furniture.

City Furniture Policy of order direct to president of city furniture R. Konig immediate response request

Order placed 12/27/21 invoice #47478/18 (Wellington, Fla store) 7 piece white Newport office furniture set the date for delivery was March 27.22 I ordered the complete set I then got 2 email notices that the most of the pieces were still on back order I then rescheduled the complete set only for a May delivery recently I got another email to sent me some that only 2 pieces are available! This is inadequate poor customer service and policy there are no signs displayed at your store in front of the items advertising that you will be charged for a complete set and may only get some pieces at your discretion. I even went into your store last month to assure that I will get the full set in perfect condition I want an immediate reply from your President and only his administrative office staff I will write to the Business Bureau and social media that your business policies are not honest or reliable I expect an immediate reply to my email today

Not that I think this will do any good, but I am so dissatisfied with your customer service. First time I tried your store and drove 2 hours to go there. I thought wow the salesmen were so patient and nice. I purchased a sectional sofa that was close to $4,000.00. I had it financed. The delivery men showed up and put the sofa together, only one problem...(it had recliners and consoles with chargers in it) and they did not have all the electrical pig tails to make it work and they just left and so it started. Called our salesman, he said call customer service, called customer service and they said call our salesman. This went back and forth for a week. We tried to explain we just needed the electrical pig tails to make them work and they wanted to send a technician? But he can't get here until July and I purchased it on May 25. Really 1 and 1/2 months to just get a technician to look at it and I presume order it which may take another month. The customer service is dead in this organization and you can tell by looking at the dismal scores all over the internet for broken furniture. Originally, my plan was to go back and buy additional furniture for my spare bedroom, but they have blown it in my eyes. I have already gotten my first bill from them and my furniture is not even operational. Disgusting. S Sawyer

City Furniture Warranty Service

Ordered a sectional, recliner stopped working about 6 months later.

called for a service visit, they came out about a week later. Said the motor needed to be replaced. I don't hear back from them. I reach out to them about 5 weeks later, thinking it would take a little bit of time to get the part(s). Come to find out, the parts have yet to be ordered and it will take 12 weeks! 12 weeks! I asked why the parts had not been ordered, with no response except for...I do apologize...

I will NEVER buy from City Furniture again...NEVER.

Desired outcome: Functional recliner within a week. Get the part from another recliner.

City Furniture Sofa

I purchased a sofa and warranty less than a year ago and have been filing complaints because it’s defective. The cushion padding is warped. The company refuses to fix the issue. They are telling me it’s no covered under warranty it’s west and tear. It’s not even possible to have west in that short amount of time. The warranty is a joke. Customer service is a joke. I want to return it they refuse to allow it. Why should I have to pay for a defective product.

City Furniture poor quality of furniture

I purchased a large sofa amongst other items to the tune of thousands of dollars the quality of the products is very inferior found the solution to rectifying the problem was unacceptable backbone of sofa made with 2in unsupported wood and it broke with very little use

Desired outcome: Replace the sofa not fix it after only 5 months of use extremely inferior product

City Furniture Horrible furniture company

I purchased furniture from City Furniture on January 31, and the pieces never arrived until early March. When the furniture arrived, it arrived piece by piece and arrived dirty. I complained within 24 hours both in email and over the phone. They lost all information that I sent and wanted to charge me to come to clean the furniture. I had already planned an event that I had to reschedule twice due to their rescheduling. The remaining pieces of furniture were rescheduled twice and have finally been delivered already to the Orlando location but could not be delivered until the 4th. As I live in the Orlando area, I asked if I could personally come and pick it up myself; they stated that they could not allow that to happen as there is "too much paperwork involved" and I would have to wait until April 4th. When I asked to speak to a manager, she refused to speak to me. If you are considering buying furniture from City furniture, look elsewhere. As a business owner myself I take pride in customer service and would not treat my customers like this.

City Furniture Customer Service

I was on the phone with an agent who says his name is Milton. He gave me his employee number which I dont know if it's correct.

My furniture is delayed and they had an offer for free shipping and assembly and I asked him if he could honor that.

He refused. After talking to him for a while, I asked to talk to a manager. He kept saying " can you give me a reason" I said, I want to talk to somebody else other than you and I want to know if they can honor it.

He kept saying that he gave me the answer already. This happened, about 30 times. He refused to connect me to a manager and kept saying "anything else I can help you with", I said "Yes connect me to a manager", then he kept saying every time, "I already told you we can't honor that"...this kept happennig for a good 40 minutes where he kept saying "anything else I can help with" I tell him "connect me to a manager" he keeps repeating the same answer. when I told him I want to complain about him, he said "I will try to teach myself to be a better customer service agent", so I told him that he is refusing to connect me to a manager, he said "You are not giving me a valid reason". So a good 40 minutes of arguing about the same thing. He said he will talk to the manager himself so he can be better at customer service.

I am mind blown.

Also, my furniture has been delaying every longer and longer. This is just ridiculous.

Desired outcome: I need someone to talk to me about this situation. Something needs to be done about that agent.
