CITBank is a pretty good bank, if you ask me. They got some pretty high interest rates that are better than what I'm getting from my other online accounts. But, I gotta say, their customer service and website are pretty bad. It's like they don't even care about their customers. I'm so scared to transfer in more than the few thousand I opened the account with because I don't want to deal with their terrible service. I'm just gonna wait 6 months and close the account without a fee. It's just not worth the hassle.

CITBank is a great bank for seniors like me who aren't too savvy with technology. The folks at CIT were really helpful when I was trying to open an account, and they didn't make me feel bad about not knowing how to do everything on my own.

I've been really happy with the interest rates I've been getting on my savings account at CIT. In just two months, I've earned more interest on less money than I did in six years at my old bank, PNC. Sure, CIT doesn't have as many employees as some of the bigger banks, but I think it's worth it for the higher interest rates.

I know some people might be hesitant to switch to a smaller bank like CIT, but I think it's important to remember that keeping your money at a big bank isn't always the best option. In fact, I think it's only slightly better than burying your money in the backyard! So if you're looking for a bank that will treat you well and help you earn more on your savings, I definitely recommend giving CITBank a try.

This bank ain't that great, to be honest. Their customer service reps can be pretty rude and unhelpful. I signed up for a savings account because they advertised a 2.30% interest rate, but when I actually got my account set up, the rate was only 2.22%. That's not a huge difference, but it's still annoying.

The website is also not very user-friendly. It's hard to find what you're looking for, and they don't send you emails about recent transactions, which is pretty inconvenient.

But the worst thing about this bank is how long it takes for transfers to go through. If you're transferring money from an external bank account, it can take almost two weeks for your money to be available. That's crazy! It takes 2-3 business days for the money to show up in your account, and then another 8 business days for it to be available. And if the money isn't available, you don't get any interest on it. Who wants their money tied up for that long?

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with this bank. I'll probably be closing my account soon and looking for a better option.

I just wanted to share my experience with CITBank, not to be confused with CITI Bank, as they are two separate entities. I recently purchased two Ramp Up CDs from CIT Online Bank, which allow for a one-time interest rate change if rates increase and you want to take advantage. However, my experience with their customer service has been less than satisfactory.

I called to request a rate change on one of my CDs, but a week later, the rate was still at the original rate, despite my request. When I called customer service, they had no record of my call and could not increase the rate. On another occasion, a CD was maturing, and I was told there was a ten-day grace period where I could continue to earn the original rate. However, when I called six days later to transfer the funds, I was told that the rate had been lowered during the grace period, despite being told otherwise by a previous representative.

When I asked to transfer the funds to my regular savings account, the representative explained that it would take up to 48 hours for the funds to be available, which seems excessive for an internal transfer between accounts. I have dealt with other financial institutions where internal transfers take only a few hours. It has been over 24 hours, and I still do not have access to my money.

I have another CD that doesn't mature until next year, and I am not looking forward to dealing with CITBank's customer service again. I would advise caution when considering CITBank, even if they offer a higher rate than other banks. I have been with Discover Bank for over ten years and have never had any issues. It may be worth sacrificing a slightly higher rate for better customer service and a more reliable financial institution.
