On January 23, 2026, our washing machine failed. We hold an active Cinch Home Services warranty through Sears, and I scheduled service for the following week.

What followed was a prolonged failure to provide service. Over approximately one month, five service appointments were scheduled. Only one technician appeared. Four scheduled appointments were no‑shows, and no advance notification (phone, text, or email) was provided that the technician would not arrive.

During the single visit that did occur, the technician diagnosed the issue, ordered parts, and we paid the required $100 deductible. The parts were delivered; however, Cinch failed to send another technician to install them, despite multiple rescheduled appointments. The fifth and final scheduled appointment was also a no‑show with no communication.

Due to being without a functioning washer for nearly one month, we were forced to purchase a replacement out of pocket. Even after replacement, we requested installation of the ordered parts on the older washer on principle, as payment had been made and service was never completed.

Customer service access was also unreliable. The automated “Samantha” AI system repeatedly stated that no human agents were available, despite the fact that live agents were reachable on other calls. No effective escalation or resolution occurred.

We are in the process of canceling Cinch plan; however, we were informed that additional payments are required to complete the one‑year contract, despite Cinch’s failure to provide contracted services.

This complaint is submitted to document Cinch Home Services’ failure to deliver basic warranty obligations.
