We had a fantastic experience with this company from start to finish. The owner is a true professional and a great communicator - he was very responsive whenever we had questions. The team who came out to build the pergola showed up on time and got the job done quickly. We're incredibly satisfied with the finished product. 100% recommend working with them. You won't regret it.

Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions was awesome from the start. Very responsive and worked very well with our budget and goals in mind. The project was completed in a day with the finishing touches the following day. Our pergola was up and ready to use for all our summer plans within 2 weeks of getting the quote! Amazing team, very professional, hard workers and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend!

We cannot say enough about how happy we are with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions. The owner, John, came out for an assessment a few days after we reached out. He talked us through the different options and what he thought would work best for our space. We had a formal quote the next day, Wednesday, and by Monday morning the team was here to build our pergola! They were professional, kind, and respectful. They called us at decision points (height, number of privacy panels, etc.) to come take a look and ensure we were comfortable with the decisions we made. By Wednesday night, we were enjoying dinner on our roof. Our outdoor space has become so much more usable and we paid thousands less with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions than we were being quoted by several other companies.

I contacted many other places with pictures and details and while some had responded days after or none at all, Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions responded within a few hours and scheduled his free consultation. They were very knowledgeable, listened to our needs and worked within our budget. When the builders John (a different one) and Mike came out, they did the job in less than 3 days even with us being on the 3rd floor roof which was impressive in its own right (they actually would've gotten it done sooner had it not been for the weather and some supply issues). All in all this was such a smooth experience that was timely and with excellent communication. Our new pergola is beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions and his team were informative, transparent and accessible during the entire process. I shopped around and received three quotes, Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions can't be beat on price. That said, quality and craftsmanship were still top notch. From a process standpoint there was an initial phone call with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions, then he came out a few days later for a quick survey of the garage rooftop deck, within 24 hours I had the proposal in hand. We spoke numerous times regarding the design and materials. I went back and forth on stain colors but day of installation Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions team assisted by providing sample stains. To meet our desired color they got creative by doing one coat in Walnut and another coat in Mahogany. They built the pergola, tongue and groove ceiling, installed the privacy slats and stained everything in 1.5 days. No need to look elsewhere, go with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions!

Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions responded very quickly to my inquiry about installing a pergola on our garage deck, which is south facing so gets crazy intense sun. They provided several options together with pictures, and came within a week to inspect our garage deck to verify what options worked. The team, led by a knowledgeable and experienced professional, was on time, polite, professional and the crew worked quickly, but carefully. My wife is a structural engineer and was curious about the whole process. The crew was happy to work with her and answer all questions. The final product is awesome. The quality of the wood is clearly high, the shade provided is excellent, even in the hottest part of the day, and the price was (by far) the best quote we got. It's hard enough to get contractors to respond to emails and get quotes. This was next level great service. After the construction was done, Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions followed up to make sure everything was to our liking and asked for suggestions of how to improve their service. I struggle to come up with suggestions, but I love that they asked. This is the sign of a good business - always looking to be better.

Based on John's promptness and professionalism, we decided to move forward with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions. John visited my home the following week to verify and finalize measurements, provide sample color stains, and answer all my questions regarding building our pergola on my patio. For a personalized consultation, he suggested a specific color (Behr Slate) outside of our already narrowed-down choices of color stains as it would compliment our patio and we actually went with his suggestion. We were pleased to find out that they were going to build and install our pergola the later that week.I met the install team of Mark and Mike (another Mark). We went through all the build details such as the locations of the center of the footings, suggested pergola height, spacing, etc. They are highly-skilled carpenters and work very efficiently as they completed our pergola in a day. Lastly, these gentlemen were extremely respectful of my property as well as the property of my neighbors as they were very thorough with their cleanup. My fiance' and I highly recommend Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions. We contacted the owner, John Smith, to provide a bid and quote for a Pergola for a garage top deck. John came out promptly and helped provide us with several options for our pergola and was consultative in making the decision, guiding us away from certain designs based on either engineering or the way the finish may look. We selected a 18'x11' grey and black pergola with privacy walls and a tongue and groove ceiling. The price was very competitive compared to other quotes. Our installation team was another duo named Mike and Dave who worked with a guy named Steve Johnson, and they clearly took pride in their work and were customer focused throughout the process, asking us questions about how we'd like the final product to look (height of the privacy walls, height of posts, how did we want the paint job on the ceiling to look, etc). They were super personable guys and they worked tirelessly through 100 degree heat. It was actually amazing how quickly they moved in hot weather. What I was most appreciative of was the fact that they vetted materials closely and sent back the wood for our tongue and groove ceiling twice due to quality issues. It is more important to us to have a high quality product than to have something completed quickly, and this attention to detail was extremely well received by my fiance' and I, regardless of the extra time taken. Attached are pictures of the final product. The beams are clearly more robust than many other pergolas I've seen and attention to detail in building the structure and finish is evident. I would happily serve as a reference for Chicagoland Pergolas.

Originally, we were planning on getting a pavilion out of the box from a different company but we really needed something custom to get the most out of our space. After agreeing to move forward with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions, he stayed in touch with us through every step. He let us know about delays for weather and updates on our timeline for completion. The two installers he sent were very professional and excellent at what they do. They worked through the rain to make sure they finished in a day. Again, I can't speak highly enough of Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions and his communication skills. I've had plenty of the opposite when dealing with contractors.

Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions (CP&P), the company, was extremely easy, accommodating, and timely to deal with via phone, email, and in-person. They first got back to me within 12 hours after requesting information. Next, they were able to come out for a home estimate within days. Soon after, we received the quote when the representative said he'd have it by. In my opinion, it was completely fair pricing, with plenty of decorative and building options showcased with pictures, and a detailed plan on how they would build our pergola and the estimated length of the project. If it wasn't for the uncooperative weather, they would have completed the project in the 1.5 days as promised. The crew who built the pergola were nothing less than exceptional because they were very communicative in their steps and answered all questions.
