Polar Window of Canada Polar Windows replaced several windows in my home this winter, and the results were not satisfactory When the work was completed, the custom

Polar Windows replaced several windows in my home this winter, and the results were not satisfactory When the work was completed, the custom made Roman blinds in my living room and dining room were several inches too short, and there was substantial damage to the plaster walls in several rooms. The roller blind in the ensuite could not be re-installed. Due to the pandemic, I reported the issues, but didn't follow up immediately. After a few months, I started calling weekly and spoke to Ken, who said he would look into it. He finally came out and took pictures and said he would be in contact. When I didn't hear from him, I started calling every week, and he told me he was "looking into it". Several more weeks came by, and they finally sent a crew out to lower the blinds, but they did not have masks, so I explained that I could not let them in. I haven't heard from the company since.

Polar Window of Canada *** Door and Windows were ordered April 2 and the door was finally installed installed September

Door and Windows were ordered April 2 and the door was finally installed installed September . The front door does not open because of ice build up in the large area or gap between the door and its casing. I have sent pictures and told Polar Windows about the door gap, the day the door was installed. Polar Windows response was to send your installer back to our house and installing a two inch by two inch black piece of rubber at the bottom of the casing. The rubber did not help in stopping air flow between inside and outside. I was assured if the door gap caused any problems they would come and fix any problems. Now the weather is colder I have pictures of the air gap causing ice to form with is freezing the door closed. The windows in the house also have problems. There is a large condensation build up at the bottom of the windows. I do not agree with Polar Windows that the house has a humidity problem. Our home has an open concept area. The kitchen, dining room, living room and front door have the same humidity on them. There are two windows in the dinning room, the large window in the living room. I have windows beside each other with different condensation. I phoned to make an appointment to have the window and door checked and repaired. I always received the answer machine. I leave messages asking to phone back, with no response. *** Mark *** Product_Or_Service: Windows

Polar Window of Canada Two new doors installed and when it is cold they frost up on the door Over the last 4 years I have spent over *** dollars on new windows

Two new doors installed and when it is cold they frost up on the door Over the last 4 years I have spent over *** dollars on new windows and doors for my home and cabin. I have no issues with the windows, they are excellent. I had 3 new doors installed and once the temperature gets cold I can feel drafts and frost build up on 2 of the doors. At one point I could see outside as they did not seem to be installed properly. Polar sent a service man down and he had to silicone the holes exposed to the open, reset the door jamb on two of the three doors as they were leaking in the same area. No issues with the third door. He left and said the issue should be resolved. It got cold again about a week later and they sent the same person down as the issues were again present only when it gets below -18C. He again adjusted the areas of concern with plastic shims and more silicon. When I mentioned that the space between the top and the bottom of door along the areas that were frosting up seems to be an issue and is it possible that the door is not installed correctly as the gap from the top of the door on the opening side is tight and by the bottom it is a quarter inch. He said he was not here when the doors were installed, Maybe my house shifted and it is to moist in the house, he did a moisture reading and it was 45%. I showed him one of the original doors that has not yet been replaced and that there was no gap present . He said that polar would frown upon to have the doors reinstalled and that maybe try the company rep you bought them through. I never did and this past day, a year later, the temperature dropped and again there is frost build up and cold air coming in at the bottom corner on both doors. I have had to put towels to prevent the cold air from entering and with the *** dollar price per door I would expect better. The service individual placed more blame on my house then wanting to fix the issue. I had cheap *** doors for 22 years and did not have this issue. I believe they need to be readjusted from an installation perspective to correct the problem. My house is built on 33 piles driven to refusal and has not shifted(evident in the still remaining existing original door. I would like them to correct this issue of frosting and cold air coming in.
