Champion Home Builders review: Wish we would have bought from another dealer

Dealer, Cobb Homes told us we had to pay in full, later we found out from corporate that wasn't true. The house was rushed being built and it sure shows. We ordered it in March 2026 and told Cobb Homes LLC, Branson West, MO that we didn't need it until at least mid April giving them a month to build. It was finished in less than two weeks and then sat on uneven ground at their office until we were able to have it installed end of April. Here we are end of July and it is still not finished and has so many issues. We hired a home inspector because we were having so many problems with Cobb Homes not wanting to make necessary repairs, and his report showed pages of things that weren't properly built along with roof damage, soft roof, wrong roof color, hot water heater didn't have the propane orifice with I was told by the manufacturer, Rheem that it should have come with it. They didn't have the part until 6 weeks later, so I contacted Cobb Homes to replace it. Kelly Cobb basically said "not happening" and to call the plumber he sent us. That guy was going to charge over $2000, we found someone where the cost was $1100, BUT we have yet to be reimbursed. The ac stopped cooling, there was another $160 for repair, the fireplace needs to be redone, I walked by the dishwasher and a piece of side trim fell off, had to glue that back on, was cleaning the window by the dining room and the trim was loose, the put the ac unit right in the middle of our walkway, the roof is still not repaired from damage from when they brought it here, it goes on and on. Wish we could return the house and go to another dealer. Really horrible experience and nightmare.
