Have had our brand new champion home for a little over a year now, it has been an absolutely miserable experience from the start. To begin with, counters were seperating in the kitchen and bathrooms from water damage (not sealed properly). Roof had a ton of cracks in it. Under all cabinets where pipes come in (sinks, tub) there was about an inch extra space that opened up into the underside of home, anything could get in. Floor is and absolute mess, actually uncomfortable to walk on because of all the seams, bumps, etc that are out of whack. Too many other problems to mention. When the guys from champion came out to fix the problems (a total of four different times) they always had excuses, except the last guy who was actually honest with us. "I never understood why they took the cheaper route with these floors now, knowing what problems it causes". "To be honest, they make these homes in a hurry, and don't spend time on the details like they should". We still find plaster dust from where the walls are separating from the ceiling, and they wouldn't fix the floor even though the inspector determined that "about ninety percent of the nails completely missed the joists". Had multiple water leaks at first, and both showers have had to have plumbing repaired. Getting them out to do repairs was like pulling teeth. I can't believe this company is still in business with products like this.

06/27/2021 We bought a 2021 single wide in May. After three months the home is set on the pad. The water, after a major leak and a cost of $540 for two days of wide open water flow, thank God it was outside, Multiple inside defects which were not helped by them hitting a few trees on the way to the pad, a leak in the roof above the Air unit, which is still not connected. They say this Tuesday it will be. We are living in a motel at $90 per day with three cats. There is a huge rip in the extremely cheap floor covering. I would not call it vinyl, more like paper. The Vinyl siding looks terrible all wavy. Our first payment is July 1, 2021. Guess Champion wanted to wish this 100% disabled Vietnam a huge spit in his face again for his service. We are at the start of this process. Sure wish we had found this site before we bought this garbage. Bill and Shelley

I don’t know where you are located, but I would check with the state Fire Marshall about filing!a complaint. That’s what we had to do…twice…we are in mississippi.

Daughter purchased a Champion home and was set up just over 1 year ago, if has been nothing but Trouble! Flooring issues, water issues, the home was put on a permanent foundation - it has cracked. Home is seperating. Call the dealer constantly, nothing gets done, call the manufacturer, nothing gets repaired, they send out guys who have no knowledge of how to fix the problems. One repairmen spent 8 hours there, the only thing he even tried to fix was the realignment of a door - which was still not done correctly. Our list of problems consists of nearly 6 pages. As someone else mentioned, they schedule a repair date, but no one ever shows up. We are contacting a home inspector - not sure if this will help any.
Final word: NO NOT BUY A Champion Home -- workmanship is shoddy, customer service - totally non existent, repair service - just as well say they don't have any. SO UNHAPPY.

First, our septic backed-up after 4 months which is not common unless you are throwing everything into your toilets and sinks. We had to have an emergency plumber come out cause we had no idea who the sub contractor was to call (We did not get any of that information). Come to find out the septic line from the house to the tank was not installed properly. It had taken an entire year to be reimbursed $200 for the emergency visit. We have an ongoing issue with our backdoor leaking since the closed on the house. We have had it looked at 4 times. 3 of which they said it was "repaired". The door manufacture came out right before Christmas and said the door need to be pulled, cause there is definitely an install issue. Today, I see water coming from the windows in the door. I can't wait to see what come from this.

So what can be done about it. This company is ripping people off every time they build a home and that should be illegal. I'm sure there are more then enough unhappy homeowners out there to file a class action lawsuit against this company. I know i'm more then just a llittle unhappy.
