Twiddy and Company of Duck Twiddy and Co. Beach house rental

My son and his friends and the adult staying with them were all evicted on day 2 of their week long vacation with only 4 hours notice because they were not “blood related”. They tout a family friendly atmosphere but don’t even think about having any non-blood relatives stay with you. No friends can visit, no bachelorette or bachelor parties, no wedding or corporate events - according to their reasoning to evict everyone in the house must be BLOOD RELATED or they will evict you based on what they view in the cameras in and outside the houses. And yes they “watched till 2:00 am” as the teenage girls had fun with their friends. I hope they can prove that none of the occupants were blood related and that they preform this level of intense dna scrutiny at every single rental they have. A lawyer is already working on this. If you have been wrongfully evicted from one of their properties jump on board. There were at least 11 houses that we know of that they waited to cash the check for an entire weeks rental before evicting less than 24 hours after check in. *Special note - there was NO DAMAGE to any of the homes. There were parents on location chaperoning.

Desired outcome: Full refund and acknowledgment that this company discriminates.

Twiddy and Company of Duck Beaches closed amid pandemic, they are refusing to refund our deposit

Beaches closed amid pandemic, they are refusing to refund our deposit. We made a reservation for May 10th and were very excited for our annual family trip. Today is April 20th and the beaches are still closed due to covid19. We were told that if the beaches re-open and we don't come, we will lose our $550 deposit. We find this to be unacceptable. Our dad is a heart patient and we have two others in our group who are very high risk and afraid to travel. The right thing to do would be to refund out deposit in full given that we are so close to the travel date, the beaches are still close and cases of covid 19 are still rising. To force us to travel or lose our deposit is in unethical proposition in these desperate times. Our reservation number is WRXXXXXXX

Twiddy and Company of Duck Trying to get a refund for a rental at the end of May

Trying to get a refund for a rental at the end of May. I originally called *** on April 13th to cancel my reservation due to my 10 year old son being very high risk of dying if he caught Covid-19 due to his disabilities and health issues.I asked for a refund and was informed that they would contact the owner. I called back multiples times a week trying to get an answer. 3 weeks later they informed that the owner denied the refund and we could put it up for re-rent. This only left about 2 1/2 weeks to try and re-rent it. When they could have done that 3 weeks prior too. Now today they called and said someone offered to rent it for a cheaper price which just happens to be the difference of what we paid down. It is still listed on the website for full price. They say price is non negotiable but clearly that is incorrect. They do not intend to give us a refund if the owner accepts the lower price. This is shady business practice at the least. I expect more from this company. We have rented before and had no issues with them. Clearly they think I should put a price on my sons life. I think making me lose money to save the life of my child is unethical. I hope that they are not treating all customers with disabilities and health issues this way. Much less other military families.

Family Vacation Total Rental Refund due to Pandemic which will be in Phase Two for our Dates of 6/13 to 6/20 putting our family in Jeopardy. Vacation Rental Corolla NC 6/13 to 6/20 Janice *** #WRXXXXXXX in the Always Together House through Twiddy and Company of Duck, NC. Due to the Pandemic our family does not feel it safe to travel at this time. We have tried without success to reason with this Company to receive a FULL Refund. They are saying because of their Policy we are not eligible for a Refund. I would say a Pandemic makes a Policy Null & Void. We have 4 people over 65 who are High Risk. One with Asthma one with Cancer and one with list of Health Issues. Also 5 young Children. Phase two still has restrictions which coincides with our Vacation Dates and we are traveling from Erie, Pa and will need to stay a night in a Hotel which is also not safe. I don't know anyone who would want to travel this far for a Vacation that is suppose to be enjoyable NOT Stressful or potentially life threatening! We have paid $6,944.66 Total for a Vacation that is not possible to enjoy. We feel this company is in total disregard for their Clients lives! We are not just people trying to Cancel for no good reason. We have not been on a Vacation in 6 years and nobody was looking forward to it more than us. But this Pandemic is beyond anything any of us could have imagined happening. We would greatly appreciate your attention to this matter.

Twiddy and Company of Duck Twiddy is refusing to contact (forward my email) to the owners of properties we have rented for out vacation about rescheduling

Twiddy is refusing to contact (forward my email) to the owners of properties we have rented for out vacation about rescheduling. In December our family booked three reservations through Twiddy for a June Vacation. Due to COVID 19 many of our families fall under the high risk category, have cancer and are front line workers. In addition, our states are still in an stay at home order per our state governments. Twiddy is not allowing us the cancel the vacation. But we are willing to reschedule; however, Twiddy is refusing to contact the owners of the properties to allow us to reschedule even though the Twiddy websites indicates that individuals can reschedule for "future weeks" . Due to COVID 19, CDC Guidelines, Stay at home orders Twiddy should allow renters to reschedule or cancel for the safety of individual. The dollar is more important to Twiddy then lives. Twiddy, Could you please forward the following email to the owners of the following properties? Great Expectations I BFS34 Sun Ray's BFS92 Oh Happy Day BFS28 Hello Owners, First and foremost, we wish, hope and pray that you and your families are safe and healthy! With that being said, that is exactly what we want for our families as well. Unfortunately, COVID 19 has disrupted the world and taken industries and business by surprise including travel. In December, our families booked three homes through Twiddy all within close proximity together, all the reservation (which included travel insurance) were placed under myself (***). With the current circumstances numerous family members do not wish to travel at this time for various reason such as falling into the high risk category for COVID 19, having brain cancer, being on the front lines as a Physician assistant and nurse, and the general anxiety of catching or spreading the disease residing in a home with multiple individuals. With that in mind, we are asking the owners to allow our family to reschedule our vacation for June. In our opinion, this is truly the best option to keep our family members safe and healthy. We do also understand the burden placed on owners at this time, with reservations being cancelled and homes being placed back on the market; However, we are not cancelling, just postponing. Again, please permit our family to reschedule our Outer Banks vacation to June .
