May name is Ray Falcon. I just received a bill from MSB one of the toll road vendors for Central Texas Regional Mobile Authority saying I owed $63.16 cents for a toll charge from 08/25/15 with a reference number of EDY786. We don't even remember going through a scanner that day, but they had the picture of the car so I know we did. The toll was $2.16 with $1.00 processing fee. I called about the extra $60.00 and they claimed they sent a bill on three separate dates and two "missed payment dates" added $15 penalties each then the "third and final" one added $30.00 more as a penalty. So my $3.16 toll was now $63.16. The problem I have is that I KNOW with 100% certainty they did not send three bills that we ignored. We pay our bills the day they come in to avoid situations like this. they did not send us three bills, but when I called the Customer Service Center, she was rude, insisted they did mail them and there was nothing I could do about it. The sad thing is, there isn't anything I can do about it. They have us by the throats and we have no way of refuting what they say. We are totally at their mercy. I'm not the only person this has happened to. A bill comes in and they claim it's the Third and final notice and they've added $60 in penalties. Is there anyone but them that we can elevate this issue to? I negotiated a $20 discount, but big deal. There is a serious problem with this company and the whole toll road situation and there's not a thing we can do. I'll drive in 45 minute traffic or 45 miles out of the way to avoid a toll road from now on because the whole system is messed up and can't be trusted. MSB is their fee collection company and their customer service phone number is [protected]. To whom in the state government can we file complaints. Too many people I know are getting their "Final Notice:" when it's really the first notice but the fees are already $60 in penalties. It doesn't make any sense that a reasonable person would not immediately pay a $3.16 toll charge. They wouldn't put it off knowing the penalties are usurious! I want a refund for all but my original $3.16 toll. They did not send three bills that we ignored. I gave them my phone number of [protected] then they told me it was to send me a survey regarding their services. Are they kidding? Can anyone help? This company has had far too many complaints and we have no recourse.

I’ve never had any with CTRMA tolls or billing. I have a txtag account that’s tied to my card so I never receive a bill so long as I keep my account current. I would recommend CTRMA…they are much better than TXTag.

I received a CTRMA toll bill dated Dec 5, 2022. It states, "You could have saved $61.60 by having a TxTag account." I have a TxTag sticker on the front windshield of my car. I have had an account with TxTag for years.

I have TX Tags on all my cars, but since about August I am constantly getting bills from these guys for roads that the TX Tag covers. I'll have a TX Tag charge AND one from CTRMA the same day, same road. This happens over and over again. You don't expect a bill because you have a TX Tag, so it's easy to overlook and then you are charged ridiculous late fees on top of the processing fees and higher tolls. So far I've just given up and paid these things because they are impossible to deal with. They do NOT coordinate with TX Tag like they should. I can go to KS and my TX Tag works fine there, but it can't work consistently 5 miles from my house? How is TX government so incompetent? I DO wish someone would bring a class action suit.

This nazi company is so entertained with Texas government that they get by with whatever they want. They are “private” and not accountable to anyone, not even the atty general who loves to send people to the terrorist organization to resolve issues. Tracy brown and the receptionist and every person at this terrorist organization knows they don’t have to do anything as people rack up bills they don’t owe and they love to laugh as they drive people even disabled veterans to the very edges of sanity. Texas needs to do something NOW about these thieves who pose as do gooders.. “look! We hire people from goodwill who know one else will hire” ( so they can screw up an already screwed to the hilt system and charge even more fees and take even MORE money out of your acct “by accident”) I’ve never seen such an evil and vile group of people EVER. Hitler would love them all from every board member to every statesman who does nothing about these thieves.

Please send an online complaint to the Governor's office a until they are sick and tired of all these complaints. All the Toll companies are scamming people with excessive fees. Complain to Attorney General as well until they do something.

I received 2 bills from CTRMA (Central Texas Regional Mobility Auithority) for 2 separate cars, each toll was $2.77 and my TXTAG balance was -9.27. Upon receiving the bill from TXTAG I replenished the account with $75 as usual. CTRMA has added a $14 non-payment fee to each of the bills they sent me so for $5.44 in tolls I now owe $33.54 in fees for a period of less than 30 days. Evidentally CTRMA pulls funds from TXTAG accounts. I used to have a credit card on file for auto-replenishment with TXTAG but they charged me over $600 in erroneous fees a few years ago so I stopped that practice. It took me over a year to straighten out that mess and get credited back. There have been many other issues with TXTAG and now this one with CTRMA of whom I was not even aware existed. I am paying the bills today as I just received them yesterday but I find the entire toll system to be less than transparent and very dishonest and misleading. It should be illegal for a company to be allowed to charge fees of 600% for any reason or amount of time.

On an original $3.00 fee I ended up paying over $100. We sent in checks on every bill and they were not credited. I saw a news story on this and this is apparently your MO

We received a bill from CTRMA saying we owed $63.75 for an original toll of $2.75! This, being the third bill, charging a $20 non-payment charge with two previous $15 charges for non-payment one & non-payment two. We live in North Texas & have a toll tag. If our toll tag doesn't have enough funds to cover the tolls or runs negative, I call NTTA, they will honor the original tolls & remove the ridiculous non-payment fees, because we have a toll tag!
CTRMA would not do that for us. I cannot believe that the state we live in are comfortable demanding these types of fees be paid or else I may have to go to court & end up paying $200! Junk mail is pretty what my mail box consists of so, when a bill is overlooked (or possibly never received) it's our word against theirs. And in that situation, we will lose every time. It's time for our government to take a look at this & change the fees. This is wrong! We pay our taxes & love our state. How dare you take advantage of us like this. BTW, I ended up paying $43.75, this was the "best they could do". The original toll was $2.75 on Feb.22 & the bill increases to $63.75 by June 18?!

This company makes themselves as if they are government and Texas lets them do it. They are accountable to no one but themselves and Texas acts like it’s no big deal even though they know that this racketeering group hires people no one else would hire so that they can play dumb to hike their fees. This is why no one pays them. There is literally no one else you can go to bc Texas let’s them govern themselves. I would go to my congressman
