This company has misaccounted our money and is overcharging on our payoff. They have already informed me that they know they have the money and that they know that it is being held up in Bankruptcy by the people that they bought the loan for but they don't care. They have been blunt about there refusal to fix this for months.
Now that I am refinancing my loan they are having the balance incorrectly accounted for and making me pay for an extra payment that I have already paid for. When I pointed out that this is dishonest and illegial, they say there is nothing that they can do about it. When I wanted to know who will be getting the money in the paid off loan Aaron, the lead that I spoke with was evasive and tried to avoid the questions. Finally I got out of him that Freddie Mac owns the loan, and when I told him that I was going to go ahead and sue theme and Freddie Mac, he said good luck, you are going up against the goverment and there was no way that I had a chance.

Ok heres the deal. Cenlar is a loan servicer which means they only service the loans and they service loans for more than 80 different mortgage lenders. Cenlar does not own the loans. If you were a Taylor, Bean & Whitaker customer then theres a good chance that you may not have received credit for a payment made during August or September 2009 if you made the payment to Taylor, Bean, & Whitaker. The problem is there that money tied up in the Bankruptky court and until the money is released then Cenlar's hands are tied. It is up to the investor "Freddie Mac" who owns the loan to authorize Cenlar to corporate advance (apply a credit for missing or unapplied funds). To all homeowners if ther is an issue unresolved with your mortgage company or bank you simply write a detailed complaint letter and send a copy to the company, OTS (Office of Thrift Supervision), OCC (Office of Comptriller of Currency, Attorney General Office, and your state Bank commissioner. I guarantee you will see results

I did have Taylar bean and whitker for my mortgage then I get a letter that said to send my payments to Cenlar. I did not know who the hell Cenlar was. Then I found out by getting on the internet that Tayar bean and whitker went bankrupt. It took them a year to send me a booklet to send my payments to them. In the mean time i payed my monthly payment to Cenlar on time as always. Then in September my Home Owners insurance was due. I did not ever have an Escrow account so I payed my home owners insurance like I have always done to State Farm. A week later I received a letter stating that my home owners insurance had been cancled and they sent back the money that I had payed State Farm Insurance co. I then called State Farm Insurance and asked what the hell was going on. At that time State Farm said that Cenlar had payed my home owners Insurance for the whole year. I had been paying it twice a year. So I then called Cenlar and talked to a man named Howard and asked them why they payed my home owners. After all I do not have an escrow account. The man said that it was a one time deal for the people that had Tayler Bean and Whitker that they was paying their home owners insurance. I said are you sure because I did not have an escrow account. he said yes. I did not want to spend that money if Cenlar would want it back.
So now it is September again one year later and I called my insurance co. and told them not to receive any more money from Cenlar. I called Cenlar and told them that I do not have an escrow account and for them not to pay my home owners. They told me at that time that my Escrow account was in the neg. and that I needed to send them the money that State Farm had sent back to me. I asked them why they payed my home owners if they had my paper work they would have seen that I do not have an escrow account. They said they had made a mistake and that I would have to send them that money that they had payed State Farm Insurance co.
I told them that i was not going to send them any money and they told me that they would tack it on to the end of my mortgage any way.
Is there nothing I can do about this. I asked them why I should pay for their mistake. No answer.

Cenlar is part of Freddie Mac. I found this out when they took over my mortgage from a local bank the US Government shut down. Someone at the Freddie Mac office in Atlanta finally told me the truth about who Cenlar, is when I kept asking questions. We have had nothing but trouble since they took over our mortgage. A few of the problems we have had include bogus fees, failure to process changes, failure to process payments, incorrectly directing us to make our payments to another company then telling to disregard that and continue paying them, etc. Not only are all their screw ups likely to affect our credit rating but the worst thing is that we are stuck with them, due to the fact that our mortgage is upside down since the mortgage market crashed last year. I am just sick of it!

I know if you are having problems like I have been experiencing then there is probably fraud taking place. I am sick of it and the representatives working there. This is a fly by night company who is robbing the consumers of TB&W (Taylor, Bean, and Whitaker). They are trying to increase my fixed mortgage up to 40% higher than I ever agreed to. Please contact your State attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission to report your story because they will investigate.
