My husband is immunocompromised and he has had UTIs before. It is difficult for him to provide a sample, so over the years we have learned to take the sample, and put it in the fridge, then take it with us.
Last week he went to CareNow. He knows what a UTI feels like. He took a sample. He has been to this CareNow before. They have his chart and medical history. Without even testing his sample, the doctor declared it was useless. Fine. He took a fresh sample the following day. The receptionist took it, labeled.
AT EVERY OTHER URGENT CARE PLACE WE HAVE BEEN TO, THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TEST IT IMMEDIATELY.
Not at CareNow. We gave them some grace, thinking it is a weekend, surely on Monday, we'd hear something. Nope. He called TWICE. On the second phone call, they told him the test results take 5 to 7 days. Seriously? For testing for bacteria in urine? Why can every other clinic do the test on site?
UTIs can be deadly. They know he is immunocompromised. They just don't give a crap. They are setting themselves up for a malpractice lawsuit.
If you have serious medical issues, do not go here.
