Car Corporation of Maryland I recently purchased a pre-owned car from Car Corp of Maryland, but I'm facing an issue with obtaining my tags from the dealer

I recently purchased a pre-owned car from Car Corp of Maryland, but I'm facing an issue with obtaining my tags from the dealer. Despite paying for them, I haven't received them yet. As a result, my temporary tags have expired, and I'm unable to drive my car. I've made several phone calls to the sales department, but they haven't been able to assist me effectively. They keep informing me about delays at Pennndot. Being 75 years old, it's crucial for me to be able to visit doctors and go to the store.

Car Corporation of Maryland I bought a 2014 Ford Escape from Car Corporation of Maryland on 4/12

I bought a 2014 Ford Escape from Car Corporation of Maryland on 4/12. They said it had no accidents and low mileage (48k). I trusted them and thought the car was safe and in good condition. I paid $17,965 for it. But guess what? Less than 2 months later, the Transmission Failed and the Check Engine light came on. On 6/10, the car suddenly stopped accelerating. Thank goodness I was on a street and not on the hwy when it happened. It was so dangerous! I parked the car and found a mechanic to drain and replace the transmission fluid on 6/15. Then I contacted the dealership. They told me that the transmission defect was already there when they sold me the car. Apparently, it can't be discovered during a pre-purchase inspection because of the way the car is made. I had to pay to tow the car to their shop on 6/22, but I shouldn't have to pay for half of the repairs to fix something that shouldn't have been sold in the first place. I don't have the money. Right now, this car is our temporary home starting from 7/1. We're really stuck now. I'm asking you, please, to do the right thing and fix the car right away.

Car Corporation of Maryland I'm a military member and I wanted to get a vehicle for my growing family

I'm a military member and I wanted to get a vehicle for my growing family. I was just browsing around when I came across a 14 Chevy Silverado at Car Corporation of Maryland. During the test drive, I noticed that the AC wasn't working. I asked the dealership about it and they told me that if I decided to buy it, the AC would work. This information was also mentioned in the online sale ad on their website and on the car's window tag.

After getting the AC refilled with freon, it started working on my drive home. However, after about a week, it stopped working again. I called the dealership and they assured me that they would fix it. I had to go back multiple times to get it fixed, but they eventually told me that the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the problem was never actually fixed because it was transitioning into the colder months.

When spring came around, the General Manager asked me why I had waited so long to bring up the issue and said that they wouldn't fix it.

Car Corporation of Maryland earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Car Corporation of Maryland has registered the domain name for carcorpmd.com for more than one year, which may indicate stability and longevity.

Carcorpmd.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with Car Corporation of Maryland, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While Car Corporation of Maryland has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 11 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • Carcorpmd.com has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The carcorpmd.com may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • Car Corporation of Maryland protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Car Corporation of Maryland I had a really bad experience with Car Corporation of Maryland in Millersville

I had a really bad experience with Car Corporation of Maryland in Millersville. I had an appointment, but it seems like they don't care about that. Oh well, what will be, will be. In response to the owner: I don't think you're actually sorry for selling the car, I mean, that's your business, right? But thanks for trying to fix things. I've decided to go somewhere else for my needs. I can't afford to waste my time again. What was "a bit harsh," my response or my experience? Because my response is just how I felt about my experience. And please stop sending me automated texts and emails. I don't want to hear from Bridgette or your company anymore. I've already taken my business elsewhere. Thanks. Just got a call from the owner, and he was really rude. I can't believe he threatened me. It's ridiculous. He called me names and accused me of things I didn't do. He even said he knows where I live and that I should be scared. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Car Corporation of Maryland The car price on the contract was $4895 more than the price advertised on the company website and the agreed-upon price before signing

The car price on the contract was $4895 more than the price advertised on the company website and the agreed-upon price before signing. The advertised price of the vehicle was $18875, but the contract stated a "Vehicle selling price" of $23770 without any explanation or breakdown of the price. When I signed the paperwork, the person preparing it mentioned that the price included all taxes, fees, and a 6-year extended warranty. However, upon reviewing the contract, I noticed that fees, taxes, and warranty were listed again, adding to the Vehicle selling price and making the car nearly $5000 more expensive than the listed price. I tried calling multiple times to inquire about what happened, but no one was available to speak with. Finally, after reaching the manager, Missy, she claimed to have no knowledge of the deal and refused to review the paperwork to understand what went wrong. She mentioned that since I asked for a better APR, they must have increased the car price as "part of the deal," which was never communicated to me during the signing. Unfortunately, I live 4 hours away, so it's not easy for me to visit and discuss the issue. Additionally, the price of the car was inconsistent throughout the contract.

Car Corporation of Maryland I canceled my extended service contract with Car Corporation of Maryland for a refund, but I haven't received it yet

I canceled my extended service contract with Car Corporation of Maryland for a refund, but I haven't received it yet. They're ignoring my emails asking about the refund. I bought a 2012 Chevrolet Express Van from them on 12/10, and they also sold me an Extended Warranty. After looking into the details of the warranty, I decided to cancel it. According to the contract, I should receive a full refund of $2,200.00 if I cancel within 30 days. On 12/29, I sent a letter to Mr. Bernard B, the Business Manager at Car Corporation, informing him of my decision. I also emailed him on 01/04 to let him know that I wanted to cancel the warranty. He emailed me a form to sign and send back to him, which I did on 01/05. He mentioned that it would take 6 to 8 weeks to receive the refund. However, it has been more than 9 weeks now, and on Friday 03/12, I emailed Mr. B to inquire about the refund's status. He replied that he would check with his accounting office and ensure the refund was processed, and he would update me on Monday. Unfortunately, I haven't heard from him since then. I've sent him several emails, but he hasn't responded.

Car Corporation of Maryland I bought a 2014 Police Interceptor from Car Corp

I bought a 2014 Police Interceptor from Car Corp. of Md. on 10/11. I paid $14,191 by check. On 10/31, I emailed them about issues with the truck that should have prevented it from passing inspection. I was concerned about the alignment problem with the rear wheel camber being off by 1.8 degrees, and I even sent them a picture showing the specifications. They told me to go to *** Automotive today 11=9-21, who did the Md State Inspection on 10/7. Mr. told me they did the inspection but were not required to check the alignment. I went to Carr Corp. of Md. and spoke to Steve on the phone. He told me it wasn't their problem and that it was my problem. I told him I was contacting my attorney, and he told me to leave immediately, not to talk to any of his employees, and never come back. He also said that *** Automotive said the same thing. He accused me of harassing his employees and questioned the legitimacy of the items added to the vehicle. I told him I was going to post about this on Facebook, and he threatened me with a lawsuit and said he contacted the police on me. I contacted my attorney, who advised me to fix the problem and sue Car Corp. Today, on 11=9-21, my mechanic confirmed that it's a bad upper control arm causing the camber issue. This should have been discovered during the Md State Inspection and repaired. I've only had this vehicle for less than 30 days, and I've driven it less than 1500 miles since I bought it.

Car Corporation of Maryland We bought a 2013 NISSAN Sentra on April 2nd at Car Corporation Dealership, located on 8310 Veterans Highway, Millersville Maryland

We bought a 2013 NISSAN Sentra on April 2nd at Car Corporation Dealership, located on 8310 Veterans Highway, Millersville Maryland. We wanted a safe and reliable car for my teenage Son who is going to college. This car had low mileage, only 44,688 miles, and we paid $10,691. A month later, our son was driving back home from high school and while making a U-turn in the neighborhood, his car broke down in the middle of the road. The lower axle broke and we couldn't move the car to the side. We had to call a tow truck. Since it was only a month after purchasing the car, we called Car Corporation Dealership and asked to be towed to them for repairs, as it was still under warranty. The car was fixed at ***, which does the MD inspection for Car Corporation. The Manager told us that this shouldn't have happened to a newly inspected car and they would investigate and see if it would be covered. We only had to pay for the towing. So *** replaced the broken lower axle, broken arm ball joint, and put in CVT fluid. If this issue had happened while driving on the highway, my son could have been killed or badly injured. When we bought the car, we were told that we would receive a permanent license plate in the mail, probably within a month, before our temporary tag expired. However, because the paperwork by the sales clerk wasn't done properly, we had to pay an additional $967 in sales tax a month later to get the license plate. We had the car for 6 months when our son heard a loud noise coming from it. We had to take it to a garage. The American garage in Salisbury gave us a quote for what needed to be fixed - we had to replace the catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, and do some welding repairs. The car was extremely rusted underneath and some parts were held together by a metal bracket. I am sending photos and the receipt for the repairs. It cost $1,758. I am asking the dealership to do the right thing. A car should not be sold in that condition.

Car Corporation of Maryland I traded in a vehicle and bought another one on 6/06/22

I traded in a vehicle and bought another one on 6/06/22. After the purchase, I drove about 1 hour to Alexandria, VA and parked in an underground garage. When I turned off the car, the lights flickered strangely. I tried to turn the car back on (I noticed the missing piece on my driver's side that had flown off). I tried 3 times before calling Bernard, who was helpful and called a tow truck. They towed the car to *** of Alexandria. On 6/8/22, *** informed me that the starter needed to be replaced. I then spoke with Bernard and told him I wanted to cancel the sale and get a full refund or at least get my down payment back and my trade-in vehicle returned. He talked to an owner who refused to help. Bernard had promised to cover the expenses from the beginning, and he did. I picked up the car that evening. The next day, my horn didn't work (after vacation and family matters). I contacted Car Corp. to get it fixed. After about 4 calls, I finally got help and had to take the vehicle to another shop in Maryland on 7/18/22. On 7/4/22, the trunk lifts stopped working. Luckily, I wasn't hurt. I fixed those and the front end pieces myself. Over the past 3 weeks, I've called and left voicemails multiple times about transferring my tag/registration, but it has been difficult to communicate with them. My temporary tags expire on 8/5/22. Today, I finally reached the tag representative. She said the delay was because she was out of the office and the MVA. I told her that unfortunately, even though she was out, Car Corp. should have kept me updated. She got irritated, emotionally unstable, and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with Steve, who blamed their poor service on the same reason. He didn't seem to care about how bad their service has been, but he said they would overnight another temporary tag. At this point, I hope I receive the new temporary tags on time, and I also want Car Corp. to take back the vehicle and give me a full refund.

Car Corporation of Maryland On April 29, 2022, I bought a car from Car Corporation of Maryland

On April 29, 2022, I bought a car from Car Corporation of Maryland. It was a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder S with 68,800 miles. Before purchasing, my fiance and I test drove the car and inspected it thoroughly. However, after the purchase, we noticed that two of the rear headrests were missing. We informed the salesperson, who then told us that the headrests were still with the previous owner and she would have to contact him. It was a bit frustrating to find out about this after the fact.

Later that night, when I got home and put the tags on the car, I realized that the tag numbers were unreadable. I tried to touch the tag, but the numbers smeared off. I went back to the dealership on Saturday morning and explained what happened. They reprinted the tags for me.

Unfortunately, on Sunday afternoon, the car started producing thick white smoke from the tailpipe. It had a burning smell, according to my fiance. This continued on Monday and Tuesday, so we decided to drive back to the dealership and inform them about the issue. The salesperson said she had to call HR to start the warranty process. We also asked for the warranty papers at that point.

By Thursday, the smoke had gotten even worse. We brought the SUV back to the dealership, hoping they would take care of it. We asked if it would be taken to the Nissan dealer, and they confirmed that it would. However, when we went to the Nissan dealer on Friday, the vehicle was not there. We called Car Corp, and they told us that it was being inspected first before being taken to Nissan.

On Saturday, we returned to Car Corp and saw that the SUV was still at their shop. We asked why it hadn't been taken to Nissan yet, and they explained that there was no room at the shop, but the necessary parts had been ordered. We also asked for a refund, but they said they couldn't provide one because they had already sent out for the tags.

On Monday morning, we called the shop, and they informed us that they hadn't seen or looked at the vehicle on Friday. They said they were planning to pick it up, but as of now, they still haven't done so.

Car Corporation of Maryland I bought a 3 year old used car from them and two and a half months later, after only putting 900 miles on the car, the engine failed

I bought a 3 year old used car from them and two and a half months later, after only putting 900 miles on the car, the engine failed. I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, with only one previous owner, low mileage, and no accidents, from Car Corporation on August 31st for nearly $14,000 (paid by check). The car had not yet been expected, so I left on August 31st without the car. The next day, on September 1st, they dropped the car off to me after its inspection. Just two and a half months later (November 20th), and after only putting 900 miles on the car, the car broke down as I was driving it. I called my insurance company, Geico, for roadside assistance and was able to get my car back home, which was only a couple of blocks away. The next morning I had to go out of town for 6 weeks, and when I returned in early January, I had my car towed to Hyundai to see what the problem was. The techs at Hyundai said the engine failed due to no oil. Oil was puddled in under engine cover as well as covering the undercarriage of the vehicle. The tech had to add oil to check for a leak, and after starting the engine, oil was spraying from the filter area. The tech then removed the filter to check for double gasket and found the gasket on the filter was out of place. This defect existed at the time the car was brought to me on September 1st. I had no work done to the car in the short time that I had it. Used cars sold in Maryland that are less than 6 years old with less than 60,000 miles on them have an implied warranty, meaning the car is expected to function for a reasonable amount of time. I have reached out to this business to explain the issue and give them the opportunity to do the right thing, but they have not been very responsive. I have called and emailed both the owner and sales manager at Car Corporation several times. This situation has been dragging on for awhile now and I need this resolved so I can get my car back. Car Corporation sold me this used car and whoever they employed to change the oil filter did so incorrectly, which caused a lot of damage, so they're responsible.
