Service Department
Monticello MN store
Had to cancel service as service was not even started as promised and trailer sat in camping world parking lot the entire day on 05-28-18. Several other trailers had been seen going in and out of service area during the afternoon as my wife and I were inside purchasing camping supplies. Please have a manager or someone from the corporate office contact me at [protected].
Thanks in advance,
Clayton Connolly
reckless lot driver
Decided to write and let you know my recent experience with CW in Grand Rapids MI. Brought my 5th wheel in for a slider adjust in late April.
Decided to order an awning rafter in the store and have it installed at the same time. CW said 2-3 days for that to arrive, would be about 5 days before I could pick up my camper. After hearing nothing I call back after 10 days, service dept says they are done with their end of it (slider adjust) and haven't heard a thing from the store about the rafter support. I call back to talk to the store, no one answers the phone when transferred.
I keep calling in as instructed by the receptionist, she says someone will answer eventually. On about the 6th or 7th call I ask for a manager (getting irritated now) She puts me on hold, then says she'll take my info and have them call me back. They Never do. The next day I call early, after some searching on CW's part they realize my part came in without hardware over a week prior and now will have to have the hardware shipped overnight from the factory because I'm about to call the whole thing off and pick up my camper for a pre season trip.
I pick it after 13 days... ridiculous that no one did anything when item came in without hardware until I called. So I'm happy to have it done with 2-3 days to get it ready to use it. That is until I get it home and see the damage inside. Apparently the tractor lot driver has no respect for someone else's property and whips these units around so recklessly that my cupboards opened, some dishes fell out and broke, gouging my countertop as it smashed on it.
Fishing poles flew off the top from behind a 2" lip above the cabinets, chairs and table slid across the camper out of their rubber pads (a 1st). This would NEVER happen with normal driving, never has in all the miles I driven at speeds up to 75 mph. Now that I'm home I've decided it was time to share this and write a few reviews. I've replaced one small casserole dish at a cost of $30, the counter top was pristine and now isn't thanks to the recklessness of your lot driver.
My chairs will have to be glued down to the rubber pads again. And I'm not so sure my slider adjust was done correctly since I'm now seeing marks appear on the flooring inside.
Not happy that CW would allow a lot driver to joy ride while towing someone else expensive property around. Total disrespect for the customer's property!
UPDATE
Brought the camper back to Camping World in Grand Rapids on June 7 so they could redo the slider adjust. The service manager Doug worked on it until it was working much better. Doesn't appear to be dragging on the floor inside anymore. They also gave me 2 thin strips of plastic to set under the edge where it was dragging when moving the slider in, this will buffer the floor enough to keep it from damaging the floor again. Was pleasantly surprised they were able to get most of the marks off the floor with mineral spirits (I had tried other cleaners without success). I was also reimbursed for the dishes that broke. Time spent there was 2 hours with about 50 minute drive each way. They did what they could to fix the issues so I'm bumping this review up to a 3 star for their efforts.
my winnebago aspri
I've taken my 2013 Aspect to the Wilsonville Camping World. Dealt with " Bill, Curtis..." my RV GAS converter was and IS NOT working. Took it for it to be fixed numerous times. Camping now during Memorial Weekend. GUESS what !? My gas is not working. NONE of it. My stove. Nothing that needs the gas works. I've Isis 100's of dollars to get it address, yet not working.
I'm contacting the BBB and a lawyer on Tuesday.
product and service
I have never had to deal with a service dept. As horrible as Camping World of Robertsdale Alabama. Had my camper for almost 9 months for repair of storm damage. Never could get a straight answer from anyone and 2 call backs this whole time. After robbing my insurance company for over $13, 000 you would think it would have been brand new again. Its way far from that. And its only a 2015 model. It had sit there so long that my tire cover had dry rotted. Never will I take anything back there to be repaired nor will I ever buy anything from that store!
Got my camper back May 24th after about 9 months at campingworld of Robertsdale Alabama..They were suppose to have done $13, 000 worth of repairs and when I got it home was cleaning it to go on a camping trip. And could not find where the sour smell was coming from...as I was cleaning water started running from under the cabinet traced it down and found mold inside and outside. They sent me home with that in my camper. This company should be shut down!
my new camper I purchased
Bought a new camper on March 28, 2018 and returned it on April 17 with torn canvas, broke door, bubbled roof. The camper is still there and not fixed. They want to patch the canvas and I don't want it patched due to its brand new. If I wanted a use camper I would have bought one but I wanted new. I have called to see what is taking so long and to make sure my camper would be ready by this holiday weekend and of course they have patched the canvas, but have not fixed anything else. There is no way it should be taking this long to fix the issues. I have even asked for a loaner camper until they get mine fixed and of course they don't offer it. It's not my fault they sold me a bad camper however they should stand good on fixing it and doing the repairs in a timely manner. It just makes no sense to have to pay for a camper I can't even use. Holiday weekend is here and I can't even use my camper. Someone please help.
customer service from start of purchase through the end
To say I'm upset is an understatement, I will never ever walk back through the doors of any camping world location ago, but especially not the Council Bluffs Iowa location.
We began the process of purchasing a 32' crossroads zinger camper @ the annual camping sport & RV show in Approximately February of 2018, we purchased the camper under a show special price, and also added in the heavy duty hitch etc which was an extra $500 added into the financed price.
Upon delivery or should i say attempted delivery, the driver delivering our brand new camper proceeded to wreck it into some trees causing an entire panel to be damaged, we made him take it back and we had to fight with them to get them to replace the panels etc, it took them 6 weeks to do this simple process, because nobody could get their facts straight and get things ordered to make the repairs.
After they finish it we had to then deal with the fact that they refused to attempt to deliver it again.
When we took out truck in to have them install the special hitch we paid for at the initial purchase, they tried to pass of a $50 stabilizer bar as the $500 hitch we purchased! We had to Argue and argue with them and make them pull up the original documents to prove we paid for it! They finally got it installed and we brought it home 2 weeks ago.
Upon entering the camper we find that they never detailed it like they were supposed to do, our corn hole game we were promised with the purchase we still have never gotten, there is grease stains on the carpeting in the $25, 000 brand new camper! Wands for the mini blinds are missing. We ask about them they told us we are making that up!
I'm through with this company and will be filing with the BBB and possibly seeking legal action.
pricing on shelf not reflecting same price at the register
I went to Camping World today, I live an hour away, I purchased the products I needed
and after leaving realized I had forgotten another Item I needed to purchase. I returned and located the item I needed, the price was listed on the shelf, however when it rang up it was a few dollars higher, I ask the clerk to check the shelf price, she went to the shelf took the price down and threw it in the trash. She stated that price had expired. My husband stated they should sell it for the price marked which was about $3.00 less. She proceeded to check me out at full price. I cancelled the charge and left the store. Before leaving I ask the receptionist for the managers info. I did call and leave a message, yet have not heard back from him. I am not sure if it is legal to have a price tag on the shelf then charge me a different price. I am not sure I will give you anymore of my business.

customer service
Saturday May 11th I went to the Tyler store to grab a few things. As I approached the register area I witnessed a cashier( I'm assuming ) being very rude to one of her co workers. The other emolyee ( taller, brown hair) seemed confused/ upset about the way she was being spoken to. I was not close enough to hear all of the conversation but what I did hear and see...I am not okay with. The one I'm assuming who is a cashier because she stayed behind the register counter proceeded to stay and talk to the receptionist as the taller girl walked to the back of the store. While standing there watching this unfold I realized that if she is going to treat a co-worker like that in the middle of the store then how would she treat me or any other customer. So I put my things back on the shelves and left. I do not plan to return.
rpod 180 and service dept customer service
Dear mam or sir,
My husband and i, newlyweds, purchased an rpod 180 last august 2017. It was a brand new 2018 model because we had researched for over a year and found that not only was this the best model to suit our needs but also wanted was worth scraping and saving to buy something new as we didn't want to inherit any possible issues from previous owners. We purchased our pod from camping world in chattanooga tn which was also a disappointing experience overall and have issues ever since.
We have been out camping a total of only 4 times (and none yet this year) due to an array of issues that have seemed to plague us and our pod. First we had issues with leaking in the roof around the vent. - took it in it was repaired. Then the awning had a black plastic piece fly out of it - took it in and service said the piece "wasn't necessary" in the function of the awning. :- (. Also the sewage pipe storage bin underneath where the caps are to close each end broke off from the plastic and had to be replaced. Another trip to service.
Winterized the unit and called it a season.
So far this year the awning broke again and another trip to service indicates the whole thing had to be replaced - 6 weeks to have it approved, ordered, shipped from forest river - unacceptable to wait that long for something under warranty even after contacting customer service to express our concerns. Then we got it back and the dvd player is not working - another trip to service ugh at this point to find out that another unit has to be ordered - and then during the checking of it our sewage storage pipe unit "fell" off in the camping world parking lot and we were told that it was under warranty so no big deal - another trip to service. So now we again are waiting for parts to be approved and ordered to make yet another trip down to service. Very disappointed in the experience so far and can't believe these things are occurring - what was the point in purchasing a brand new model if it appears as though it is used and has issues beyond our control! Haven't had any remedy from camping world or your customer service and really don't know where else to turn. We only have a year warranty which seems ridiculous for these units given all the problems they seem to have, and don't know what to do after august 2018. We haven't been able to camp yet this year! Hoping for some type of remedy.

purchase of a new travel trailer in october 2017
I will never recommend Camping World to anyone. We purchased the Camper in October 2017. At that time we took out GAP. I paid off the camper in December 2017 and went to the dealer on 12/26/17 to cancel the Gap. the form I signed was never sent to Safegard until 2/1/18. so Shannon dropped the ball on that. I kept calling Shannon and he would give me the run around. so then I started talking to Austin who actually really tried to help me. To make a long story short I finally ended up calling Safegard and they said they processed the cancellation on 4/17/18. The reason for the delay was because Shannon did NOT put the effective date of cancellation on the form. Safegard kept sending emails to Shannon to put a date on the form so they could cancel. someone at Camping world in Oxford finally completed the form correctly and sent to Safegard for cancellation. According to Stacy at Safegard the refund was sent to Camping World on April 17. As of today which is May 12 I have not received a refund. I called today and was told the check was issued on May 10. This is ridiculous and if this is the way Camping World does business I never will recommend.
We also had a service problem which was not our fault. The unit was supposedly winterized by Camping World. We used it for the first time in February and the water line to the commode and the outside kitchen was busted. They tried to say it was our fault. finally after 3 weeks of "discussions" it was repaired. I wish I could be confident that we will have no more issues BUT I don't believe that is the case.
part order
I purchased Flexco entry steps for my camper from Camping World. Before ordering I searched their website for dimensional drawings to make sure the steps would fit between the 25" wide welded brackets on my camper frame. Dimensional drawings were not available on their website, so I called Camping World's "customer service" to verify fit and I was assured they would fit. When they arrived, it was quickly determined that they would not fit because the new steps required 26" spaced welded frame brackets to mount them. Arrangements were made to return.
After considerable personal research I found a product from a different manufacturer whose dimensional drawings (directly from the manufacturer) indicated they would fit, so I ordered them from Camping World. Be advised that Camping World's part numbers have nothing to do with the manufacturer's part numbers, so a considerable amount of research may be necessary to determine that parts available through Camping World will fit your application. Do your homework because Camping World's "customer service" will not do it for you and will likely provide misinformation.
Unfortunately, after 5 days, the order has yet to be shipped and Camping World's "customer service" states the order is at their warehouse, has not been shipped and they cannot tell me when it will be shipped. I have no idea when I will receive them.
I am waiting for a credit for the first set of steps that were returned. I hope I will not have another battle on my hands.
Horrible" customer service". I recommend potential buyers consider carid.com for their camper supply needs.
2016 coleman 3015bh
We purchased the camper new in September 2016. The service department at the Fairfield, Ohio location has been terrible. It took more than 1 year and 10 trips to the service department to get SOME of the repairs done. We dropped the camper off on November 14, 2017 for a leak check/repair. When we went to pick up in February 2018, we found that they over pressurized the camper and caused a new leak in the bathroom (service rep admitted in front of us & General Mgr.) Never repaired the leak in the bunkhouse and now they will not return phone calls or emails. We had issue's on our first trip out in September 2016 and have asked for camper to be replaced since then. We have continued to ask for the camper to be replaced/repaired properly and they have never repaired our camper properly. I have filed complaints with BBB and Ohio Attorney General. We want to be contacted with resolution ASAP or calling attorney back.
air conditioner not working since new.
We have had our coach in at camping World of Tucson 4 times for this problem. We live in our coach and it getting hot here. I'm writing this as I sit here waiting for my coach to get worked on. It's been here since 9:30 this morning it is now 4 o'clock in the afternoon and it hasn't been touched. I will never recommend or buy any rv's from camping World again.
25860 rv fridge
I ordered this fridge to replace my old one. The ordering process went quite smoothly, however the fridge showed up and there were no cover panels for the fronts of the doors. There was never any mention of the fact that door panels are "not included". I liken this to buying a car that comes with no hood. Would have been fine if I had known prior to ordering but not once during the browsing and ordering process was it even mentioned or offered. NOT HAPPY!
I bought a camper that was damaged
bought a camper from camping world and they said nothing about any of the unseen water damage and leaks that the camper had and the back slide was damaged
They agreed to fix it so they fixed it amung other small cosmetic things they fixed the rear gasket for the slide I had to bring it back because it was dragging on top ripping the gasket off I brought it back to get them to fix their mess up and they leave it out in the rain to cause more damage witch at the time mildew growing in the wall from the water coming in from where they claimed they fixed it I have documented everything pictures video conversations i even got the old shop manager to testify the things that he done he is on my side and no longer works there I showed him a video of it and they said that they would fix it no problem this is after they fixed the roof the first time
I had a conversation with the manager and he agreed that the past manager should've done me right on this and assured me that it would be taken care of and shook my hand
Weeks later I called and they said it was fixed so I went up there to find out they did nothing but claimed to have stopped the leak and was not going to fix the damaged wall that was caused by them fixing the roof priar now they refuse to fix it
I bought this camper 8 months ago and they have had it for 7 months never got any update calls or anything I tried several times to contact them to find out what was going on with the camper and when would it be fixed so I can start enjoying my camper but they were trying to find ways to pawn this camper on me
This is totally wrong for them to do a customer like this knowingly
I just wanted a camper for me and my family to enjoy. This has been a total disaster and I wouldn't recommend buying nothing from camping world
They are crooks and liers

rip off in service pricing
I brought my camper to Camping world in St. Augustine Florida because it was eating tires on one axle. They said they would have to call in a guy with portable alignment equipment to do the job. That was a Monday and they said they would call me by the end of the week. I waited till the following Monday to call them, they said the alignment guy never showed up at the appointed time last week and that he was due there today. I waited another week. I called them and they said the alignment gut never showed AGAIN ! They then said that they needed me to bring in my truck so they could check the levelness before they could do anything ! The next day I bring out my truck and we hook it up. Camping world then sends out a tech on a golf cart, he looks at it for ALL of 2 minutes and tells me the level looks good and NOW they must call the alignment guy ! WHAT ! My camper has been sitting there for two + weeks, AFTER I waited a month for an appointment ! I decide to cut my losses and go elsewhere. I go inside to settle up and they tell me that their charge for the 2 minute diagnosis would be $388. NOW I know how Marcus got his millions$$ by ripping people off. I say I am perfectly willing to pay a reasonable charge, BUT $388 for 2 minutes work is NOT reasonable. They say that is the charge ! I say I am leaving. They say they can't let me leave ! I say watch me ! I get in my truck to leave, they say they are calling the police, I say DO IT and leave ! I did bring my camper to another location, they got the alignment company to come out that same day he says the level IS NOT good, I needed to lower my hitch. This was at a Goodyear tire store I do business with, they lowered the hitch and charged me $40. Camping World said it would be at least an hour and the labor rate is $145 hr. The alignment guy comes back, again that same day, he adjusts some of the wheel bearings and dose the alignment and charges me $170. NOW, in ONE DAY I got done what Camping world could NOT do in three weeks ! AND they wanted to charge me $388 for DOING NOTHING ! Camping world also told me I should be repacking my wheel bearings every 5K miles at a flat rate charge of $284. Goodyear says every 5k miles is crazy, but if I wanted my bearings repacked they would charge me $125. All I can say is DON'T make Marcus MORE of a millionaire if you need service on your RV GO ELSEWHERE ! ANYWHERE else !
horrible customer service / norcold refrigerator warranty work
We purchased a norcold NR751SS on April 17, 2017 from wholesale marine to replace our old Norcold in our semi, it has been registered with norcold for warranty purposes, approximately 2 months ago it stopped cooling so a Norcold service rep told me to take it to your service departmentat Camping World in Avondale Az.
Yesterday April 24, 2018 I went to the service desk and they were so rude and nasty, demanding that I produce a receipt for my purchase, I purchased this unit online so the only receipt I have would to be online.
My daughter was also with me and when I walked out to the car to get my tablet to show them the proffered of purchase the people at the desk started talking badly about me.
My daughter proceeded to tell them how rude and unprofessional they were and came out and told me eee were leaving, we left.
I will Never do business with Camping World again and I called Norcold to let them know not to send anyone to that store
financial services
I bought a trailer in March 2018 and was told I had to put a $500 deposit to hold the trailer during the financial waiting period. I put it on a credit card to hold and was told it would be refunded once the financing went through. I have made two payments already on my trailer with the financing company ! They won't return my deposit, so I had to call my bank to file a dispute. I spoke to the manager at the Anthony, TX location and he assured me that they needed to do a check request to be paid out to me. They said it would come via mail. 2 weeks later, no check, no phone call back. I need escalate this as I am a paying customer, bought your trailer, and now you won't return money that is not yours. I am so upset that you lack in customer service skills. If I would have known this would have been an issue, I wouldn't have left a deposit. You had no problem with my financing, why am I having to deal with this!
repairs
We took our year old trailer in for electrical repairs in September of 2017. While in the shop for these repairs, a Camping World employee ran into the side of the camper causing significant damage to the siding and the awning. It has been there ever since. We have been getting the run around since October saying there were delays in parts, wrong parts were sent, etc. We were told at the beginning of the year we would have the camper back by early March at the latest. It is now almost May, and we are now being told the new parts won't even be in until late May, putting the camper back in our hands mid-summer. We have spoken with about every manager there that has given us the "oh-well-I-don't-know-what-to-tell-you attitude". By the time we get this camper back, we will have made almost $4000 in payments with Zero use. I have yet to hear back from anyone that is empathetic or seems to want to help.
We need our camper or a new replacement by the beginning of May for our summer camping trips, which are starting on May 11th.
