I just tried going in to buy a membership and pay for the whole membership for 6 month term for 59.99 +tax. They refused to give me a membership and instead said they would take my banking information and bill me monthly. I said [censored] no im not giving you my banking information because im wanting to pay for it up front. I said to the girl at the desk that i would like to speak with the manager. Turns out the chump standing behind her was, so he says he's the manager, and i said that this is a big problem because you are denying the sale of your product to me because you want my banking information. This is a violation of privacy. I asked why i couldn't buy my membership in full and the guy's response was that not everyone uses their membership so if you pay month to month then they can break it off. I said that's [censored] because once an individual has a membership, it is down to that individuals preferences of how often they use it, not his. This is an illegal sales tactic to obtain private information, because paying for the membership in full wasn't good enough. I walked out the door. This was a bad experience for me. All i wanted was a damn membership at the gym.
