I have been trying to cancel my subscription but it's near impossible.

All the provided links are not working and customer service not responding.

This apparently a frud company.

I have read lots of other reviews and all agreed that it was near impossible to cancel and this site kept withdrawing money from gheir accounts.

I still don't know to cancel the subscription or who else to contact but I am very willing to defend my rights and I won't let them take mh money

I registered today on this site but I immediately realised something looked weird as i was not able to easily stop any further payments related to auto renewals. On the email i received they mentioned an online form for cancellation which i can’t seem to find. I have already sent 2 emails to service @ c-date.co.uk asking for my subscription to be terminated as i do not wish any auto renewals.

I’m posting here as well as I want to make sure it is noted that i am immediately requesting cancellation of this subscription.

I have tried to contact cdate directly but there has been no response.I was wrongly informed by the website that it was £7.99 for 6 months but they charged me £191.

This has left me completely without money, I'm a single dad with my two year old daughter and will struggle this month without any money and be able to put food on the table.

I want my premium subscription cancelled and refunded part of the money, you can cancel my account straight away.

Obviously coming on here I can see I'm not the only person scammed by this company.

Like many others here, I signed up for a reduced fee and after being dissatisfied with the app, I sought to cancel my account and any further payments. However they intentionally make cancelling virtually impossible in order to extract more money from you. A much higher payment was then taken from me despite not using the service and after I had requested my account be deleted. Ultimately I blocked any further payments being taken via PayPal.

Now I am receiving emails from a debt collection agency on behalf of C-DATE. I have informed them that they will receive no money from me and you only have to Google this company to see they are completely fraudulent.

Looked ok and signed up , but cancelled subscription a few days later as didnt seem very good and didnt want following month to be automatically charged . Tried to follow instructions to cancel and sent mail to confirm and didnt hear or recieve any kind of contact from them and assumed all was well. Found later id been charged a full premium fee which they said the payment hadnt gone through and lower payment so got bank to block payments . Went through torment due to mothers agonising death and affairs , then started getting debt collecting letters from a firm in Germany. Standing , currently at €303. This was from my couple of days with them in February 2023 .

I got the month membership on impulse and want to cancel. I have already emailed the service team that got back to me and said rather cancel using the form on their home page, for which there isn't one. The had a fax option like wtf or to send a letter that's likely to get "lost". Not only that but when signing up, theres nothing that says that you will have to cancel 7 days before you actually want to cancel.

I trust that whoever is reading this will show themselves as understanding and compassionate. I have found my experience on C-Date beyond displeasing. In addition to not finding anyone in my area, I haven't been contacted by any user in over 24 hours and when I finally did they commented I quote:" You're 19... my son is older than you." I believe that nothing will come out of it in the long term and I wish to get my payment refunded as I have no interest in pursuing using this website. Thank you for your time.

I have repeatedly emailed to cancel any membership or subscriptions. I never signed up for these nor do I want them. I have asked for the account to be closed as it doesn’t allow me access to sign in. I have paid the outstanding balance for something I never used. It’s clearly a scam company because they don’t allow you to cancel membership. I have emailed every email address I can find for this company and never hear back. They reply via trust pilot but with no useful information. They will not let me cancel and I assume in a months time they’ll try to take payment again and this process starts all over again. It’s disgusting to treat people this way and to send threatening emails about payment. I can lonely assume they’re a scam and this will most likely continue even though I have notified them time and time again to cancel my account. I’ve told them I can’t accept the website as it just says payment is needed even though I paid via PayPal. The whole company is a joke

I used the website once and signed up and immediately after signing up I removed all my details then and this sign up was on 15.03.23 and I deleted and cancelled the account on 02.04.23. The CMS debt collection have been emailing since this issue is ridiculous.

I deleted and cancelled the account. Furthermore it has been documented and captured on websites such as this one how c date is a scam.

In addition it is a criminal offence to pursue someone to pay for something they opted out of paying here in the UK

I would like this issue resolved immediately. I will not be paying the amounts owed considering the account was deleted.

I am not the first to have this issue, clearly c date is scam website troubling other, and this will be known.

Thank you for your undated reply to this complaint. Since the complaint was lodged, I have forwarded the correct information and have received in return confirmation of cancellation. However, what started off as 14 days prior to renewal date as stated on the app, then changed to 7 days( see screenshot of your email) and has now moved to 4 weeks !(see second screenshot of another email recieved from yourselves) Is this because you are scamming me? Or is it a genuine mistake on your behalf?

All correspondence is being recorded by myself and will be submitted to court if this is how you wish to continue. I live in the United Kingdom, under our contractual laws. You cannot make your own laws up. I look forward to your reply.

I tried to cancel my membership multiple times and thought I had successfully cancelled it. Then I had another payment taken so I emailed again to cancel the subscription and raised an issue with PayPal (the payments were taken through paypal). I mentioned how I had never used the site and had canceled my membership as soon as I realised it is a scam. There have been further emails now demanding payment and threatening debt collection agencies. I hope no-one ever falls for this company that targets lonely, depressed men like myself and extorts more and more money from them with an impossible cancellation policy.

have no idea who this company are until i received a threatening debt collection letter for something i have no idea about. have no idea of password have had to reset this and still can’t get in. someone has used my email and have tried to cancel this. wish an official complaint to be lodged as will not be paying this sum of 245.95 euros for something in which i did not sign up too. also to say have received correspondence chasing for fees is incorrect nothing has been received

Receiving constant emails from yourselfs and supposed Lawers and threatening emails saying I'm coming into serious trouble

I haven't even been on your site for over a year ! So how can you then give me that I'm in debt for something that hasn't been used ! I would like it to be resolved soon as its just a joke, all these emails back and forth it's just time wasting

Terrible dating site. Most profiles seem to be fake and the replies I did get were trying to get me to join other sites.

Cancelled my membership in February via fax but they claimed they never received them even after I sent copies. They have sent ecollect collections after me. Ecollect claim I have not responded to them even though I have copies of all emails. They keep escalating charges and are sending me texts in the middle of the night now.

Steer well clear of cdate. Fake profiles, and bullying tactics when trying to cancel membership.

This so called website C-Date based in Luxembourg, is the worst dating website i have ever used.

There is no simple search engine. there version is you put in a criteria and they match you say roughly 5-6 pair day.. but if they can't match you with your criteria they still bombarded you with there match's... 1 of my criteria was distance.. to me this was very important as i was a paid member at the time, the uk was in the height of the cost of living crisis.. s here match's was over 150 miles away.. completely unrealistic.. and because i glanced of there terms & conditions which was not very clear initially.. so i paid for 6 months and when it came to cancel i only gave them a week's notice and they did not except this and i refuse to pay they due to in my opinion my consumer rights was breached... due to the match's from the other end of the UK mainly..

They re now had debt agencies & lawyers threatening court action over a breach on my part...

no compromises.. nothing but out right ruthless action..

again i will say that you do not have any control of using there website regarding the matches especially when they fail on your criteria.. they just hit you with what ever and expect money...

This company C-Date (interdate) is a farce website.. my opinion AVOID!

I unwittingly filled out my details online on their site believing this to be a genuine dating site, only to realise it was a scam website. I emailed them to cancel any subscription immediately. I am now being bombarded with requests for payment with late payment and admin charges added. This amounts to £244.73 so far. I have attached photos of the correspondence received by mail today. Please help!

Hi everyone fake Web site they are trying to get £39.90 from my account I had signed up to c.date last month untill I noticed that it was the same pictures but moved around I had paid £9.99 straight off without using the monthly free services but when I noticed something was wrong I sent a email to them no response back Ave just sent them another email asking who gave them the order to set up a dd on my account and to try to take £39.90 out of my account that's classed as Freud it think so they have our bank details without your permission so something needs to be done about this service c.date hopefully with me blocked the transactions and the bank know about the problem that £39.90 they shouldn't be able to receive hopefully thank you Paul

Hello I was on this site for less than an hour! As I soon realised all the women on it are fake or robots… I then told you I want my account cancelled which you make impossible too do on the site. Then you block the person from the site so they can’t cancel and pass it too a debt company too frighten peopl! You are a DISGRACE! I have also emailed you and your debt company about this and too

Your debt company This is also a fake scam site you are sending letters on behalf of.. when you try too get in contact you cannot as this is a scam company aswell as you probaly already know. if I receive any more threatening letters I will be reporting you too the police I have already sought legal advice

I served notice and would attest to this in a witness statement in a UK Court if necessary;

pursuing someone for money they do not owe in the UK is a criminal offence under S.40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970;

If you continue with this harassment I reserve the right to (i) Report you to the police and (ii) hold you responsible for your legal costs associated with defending myself;

I hope this is the end of this ridiculous matter
