Lexisnexis reviews and complaints
Patent advisor
My law firm signed up for the LexisNexis service Patent Advisor about a year ago. I believed that it was a monthly service and we could cancel at any time. I am now trying to cancel the service to save on costs. However, I am being told that we have a contract and that our subscription renewed automatically at the end of July. I was never notified of the...

I had recently requested the sales team for a trial to the LexisNexis QuickLaw Canada platform, in order to see the platform working and try it out before I decided whether or not to purchase the subscription.
I was told on the call (by the account executive) that they could setup a special “test account”, so that I could try out the platform for one day, and was told that i can choose whether or not I would like to purchase the complete subscription after the trial ends, and I would not be billed for the trial period.
They then sent me an email containing a contract and mentioned that I need to sign the contract so that they can setup my trial account.
I have the email conversation where I specifically asked whether I need to sign the full contract “before the trial”, and the account executive mentioned that it is required to give me trial access.
I used the account for a day. and then decided to not go ahead with a subscription for now. However, just last week, I got an invoice for the subscription.
And upon contacting the account executive from sales, I got a reply from him, with a screenshot of the contract, mentioning that I have already signed the contract for a 24 month subscription.
I do not find it fair that you require a person to sign a 24 Month agreement in order to get a "trial" for the platform. This makes the whole point of a “trial” meaningless. This is an extremely huge amount, and this has left me in shock.
I request you to please look into this matter at the earliest and please cancel this subscription.

Inaccurate auto insurance reporting
Lexis Nexis is reporting auto insurance claims information not related to me, my prior or current insurance, nor my vehicles. These unrelated claims are driving the price of my insurance way up. I have contacted the insurance agencies involved in the claims and have confirmed with them that they show no claims against me, my prior or current insurance, nor...

My name is William Scott Brennan and I have a complaint about LexisNexis case number [protected], [protected], [protected]. I understand that I am not a paying customer and probably will not get a response to this but I need to try. I have reached out to LexisNexis on 12 separate occasions to no avail.
I applied for a mortgage and was denied because of a judgement on my report. The initial filing form that is being used was for a William Bryce Brennan not William Scott Brennan and shows that on my report, however the form shows my address. LexisNexis is using my address to keep inaccurate information on my report.
The document shown on my report is the initial filing not the actual judgement. I have contacted the court and filed a motion to have the form corrected.
The [protected] resolution states that LexisNexis contacted the court and verified this information. I contacted the court and was informed that they would never give anything but the actual final judgement out as proof of identity. That document does not have my information on it.
I would greatly appreciate if someone could do their due diligence and correct the error that LexisNexis has made.

Can't fix false accident report despite proof
My parked car was hit by my neighbor over a year ago. I was not at fault and have two written letters from both insurance companies to prove this, as well as a full reimbursement of repair costs. Lo and behold, when I switch insurers a year later, the rates are through the roof because of a supposed incident on my report. I finally figure out how to obtain...

We contacted LexisNexis to purhcase online research services. They quoted me a monthly fee which was agreeable. After utilizing the service a couple of times, I found that I could get better quality research free via Google. I called and asked to cancel the service telling them I was dissatisfied with the service, that it was not useful to our research. We...
